[PJ Media] Something must be done and quickly. The latest revelations about Comey make the recusal of Mueller more urgent, but the overall situation is yet more severe. The FBI itself needs some form of investigation and reorganization. A true reform. Otherwise a huge percentage of the country will continue to distrust it and that distrust, pending the results of the closely tied Mueller-Russia inquiry, will only continue to grow. That is untenable in a democratic republic.
Failing that, we might as well rename the FBI as the GDS -- the Guardians of the Deep State.
[Hot Air] Those who follow labor union issues likely remember the disappointing conclusion in March of 2016 to the case of Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association. Friedrichs had sought to stop the mandatory "contribution" of dues out of the paychecks of teachers who either did not belong to the teachers union or did not support their political positions. With the death of Antonin Scalia, the Supreme Court split 4-4 on the case an allowed the unfair practice to continue.
Now, as John Hinderaker reports at Powerline, another case is making its way before the court and it’s dealing with the same set of issues. Janus v. American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, Council 31 is expected to be heard by the Supremes and this time Neil Gorsuch is on the case and the unions are bracing for defeat. If the practice of mandatory dues (which is actually much closer to extortion than anything else) is shot down, unions around the country will be in for some hard times.

Left out is that the State of California paid (and might still pay) 'nominal union dues' for CEU education employees. The money was/is offered to the employee for the purpose and promptly deducted at pay time. If the option is/was 'no', it disappeared from their earnings.

Hell, a Chick-fil-A franchise in Houston sent out a power boat to rescue a couple of elderly customers. And the old folks didn’t even ask if Chick-fil-A’s CEO is still opposed to gay marriage.
Is Michael Moore hosting an All-U-Can-Eat buffet for first responders in Harris County? If he were, surely MSNBC would be covering it, live.
Where are Elizabeth Warren, Whoopi Goldberg, Steven Colbert, etc. etc.?
Seriously, doesn’t it look like almost all of the heavy lifting in the wake of Harvey is being done by people who belong to what the Southern Poverty Law Center would describe as "hate groups?"

You can’t be asking Brooklyn hipsters or Occupy Wall Street to occupy a relief shelter when the Beautiful People are jetting into Nantucket for brunch at the Chanticleer Inn.
Besides, as assorted adjunct professors at third-rate colleges have been tweeting out all week, those are Trump voters stranded down there in the Lone Star State -- bitter clingers and irredeemables.

How about the Clinton Foundation? They have more money than God, but if you go to their website, all it has is a list of links to other organizations. For flood relief, I guess it takes a village, but not the Clinton Foundation.
Joel Osteen took a lot of grief this week, but his church is open. Which of his three mansions is Bernie Sanders ...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords... opening for flood victims?

If you Hail from a land other than the USA, do not even try to get your news from American cable news networks like msnbc or cnn. They are not only wrong, they are vile.
They are useless and will concentrate only on their agenda. It is propaganda and it is bereft of any substance you must know to make decisions.

I saw an African-American guy on TV, he was interviewed about illegal immigration and DACA. When asked, he said I think we should follow the law. I believe, I could have a decent conversation with the chap.
