's close friend and major fundraiser, Penny Pritzker, who has been nominated to be the new Secretary of Commerce, didn't include more than $80 million in income in financial disclosures she filed last week. Pritzker, who is a billionaire, supposedly "inadvertently omitted" this tiny part of her fortune. Her lawyer, Robert Rizzi, wrote the Commerce Department on May 21 that the money was not included in the May 15 filings that were reviewed by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics "because of a holy manal error and through no fault of Ms. Pritzker."
Susan Anderson, Pritzker's personal spokeswoman, said Prizker's "financial advisors" discovered the mistake within the 184-page submission. The $80 million in income was derived from Pritzker being paid over ten years for consulting for more than 400 domestic trusts, which were being restructured because of an intergenerational family feud that split into 11 family lines. Some of the entities being fought over were the Marmon Corp., Hyatt Hotels, Union Tank Car, Conwood Company and the Hyatt Center office building in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... . Anderson said, "Pritzker provided advice on the restructuring, managing and in some cases, selling various trust assets."

[PITTSBURGH.CBSLOCAL] The Pennsylvania State Police have charged a western Pennsylvania judge with stealing cocaine from evidence in cases he presided over before he abruptly resigned last year.
According to police, the charges against former Washington County Judge Paul Pozonsky will be prosecuted in Washington County by Senior Deputy Attorney General Michael Ahwesh.
Pozonsky sat on the bench for nearly 30 years, first as a magistrate and then in Common Pleas Court.

[BREITBART] A southwestern Illinois judge whose colleague died of a cocaine overdose while the two were on a hunting trip together has been charged with possession of heroin and guns.
St. Clair County Circuit Judge Michael Cook pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." during a court appearance Friday in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis.
Cook has not been charged in Christ's death.
A criminal complaint accuses Cook of using a controlled substance while in possession of firearms. A judge ordered him freed on his own recognizance.
Authorities say Cook and newly appointed St. Clair County Judge Joe Christ were staying at the Cook family's hunting lodge in western Illinois' Pike County on March 10 when Christ was found dead. A coroner said Friday that Christ died of a cocaine overdose.

A new poll, taken by Quinnipiac University, puts the speaker, Christine Quinn, at 25 percent and Mr. Weiner at 15 percent, a gap not as large as it seems. If somebody doesn't get 40 percent there will be a second round. A run-off is a new election. And who has the name recognition? You don't have somebody on every third street corner selling "quinns." Mr. Weiner understands, as Bubba did in his day, that "this is going to be a difficult slog, and I'm going to have to have a lot of difficult conversations with people along the way." He'll have to endure a lot of cheap jokes, too, just like Bubba. Double-entendres will lie in wait every time he speaks. Big-haired women seemed to pop out from the potted plants with an entertaining tale to tell everywhere Bubba went, and Mr. Weiner conceded (wisely, no doubt) Thursday that more lewd photographs may lurk in the Twitterhood. "It is what it is," he said, leaving "it" as vague as Bubba left "is." "'I did not do 'it' with that woman, Miz Whatsername.'"
"People may decide they want to come forward and say, 'here's another email that I got,' or another photo. "Don't look, Ethel!"

Mr. Weiner is not getting much help from any of the usual liberal suspects, who mostly want to lie low and keep quiet. Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo calls the prospect of Mr. Weiner winning a "shame on us." If Mr. Weenie wins Andrew will be his good friend, working together for the Good of the Country.
The crowded field includes a prominent black, "I wanna be Noo York's first black mayor!"
"What was David Dinkins?"
and the speaker of the City Council is, she wants everybody to know, a lesbian. "I wanna be Noo York's first lesbian mayor!"
"What was John V. Lindsay?"
These are constituencies a New York pol dare not let anyone else bow deeper to. But the boy needs help, and Bubba, who performed the marriage rites when a suitable rabbi, priest or imam couldn't be found, always thinks only of others. He's famous for that. But not this time.

I thought that nobody contacted the mosque where the brothers worshipped for days, until the imam saw their name in the newspaper and called in. So who were the Muslims that the government was so pointlessly talking to in the meantime -- the local CAIR and MSA affiliates?
These calls were the fruits of years of cultivating such relationships in an effort to ultimately prevent the very type of attack Boston experienced April 15.
But the calls following the explosions were not about the unfolding investigation.
Then why? Surely the investigation ought to have been the priority?
Representatives from the departments of Justice and Homeland Security offered support to Muslim communities in case they suffered backlash or threats, even days before law enforcement connected the suspected bombers to a violent interpretation of Islam.
That was back when they were sure it was Tea Partiers or other evil rightwing nuts. After all, all the bien pensants said so, and the great and the good as well. Even the elites, come to think of it.
This type of outreach has been a cornerstone of the Obama administration's counterterrorism strategy. The goal is to prevent homegrown terrorist attacks by forming trusting relationships among law enforcement, government agencies and Muslim Americans.
And looking at the Boston Marathon bombing, we can see how well that turned out.

The idea is to make political concessions to non-terroristic moderates so that even the terroristic non-moderates understand that they don't need the method 'terrorism.'

That's ok. Because the perpetrators were videotaped saying it in plain language with the blood still dripping from their hands, and those tapes are all over the news and YouTube. Anyone who doesn't get it is clearly working not to do so.
Yesterday's appalling attack on a London street in the middle of the day, which left a British solider dead, was a barbaric act of terrorism perpetrated by Islamist fundamentalists. British Prime Minister David Cameron acknowledged the motivations behind yesterday's cowardly act by saying:
This country will be absolutely resolute in its stand against violent extremism and terror. We will never give in to terror--or terrorism--in any of its forms. Second, this view is shared by every community in our country. This was not just an attack on Britain--and on our British way of life. It was also a betrayal of Islam--and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country. There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act. We will defeat violent extremism by standing together.
In stark contrast, the Obama Administration's response has been to avoid calling the attack terrorism, let alone terrorism motivated by a radical Islamic ideology. Instead the Administration, via the State Department, said it stood with the U.K. in the face of "such senseless violence."
Senseless violence? One can hardly term a targeted attack on a U.K. soldier in broad daylight -- where the assailants gleefully admit the radical motivation behind their attack -- "senseless violence."
Yet, use of this terminology is nothing new for the Obama Administration. "Senseless violence" is the Administration's catch-all phrase loyally called upon whenever motivations for a despicable act should not be ascribed, lest someone take offense.
Particularly troubling is that "senseless violence" is the same terminology the Administration used when describing the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed the American Ambassador and three other U.S. citizens.
And thus we know what they believe both attacks to be, and what they fruitlessly hope their flimflamming will keep us from noticing.
