Trump offers job to woman at DC news conference
h/t Instapundit
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, during a news conference in Washington on Monday, offered a job to a woman who said she was survivor of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Trump called the woman forward and asked her about her experience after she asked whether his new hotel in the District of Columbia would hire veterans.

"Here's what I'm going to do, stand right over here," he said to the woman.

"If we can make a good deal in the salary, she's going to probably have a job."

When asked why he decided to take the risk to promise a job to someone he did not know, Trump said that he "felt good about her."

"I have a gut instinct. We are allowed to have that," he said as the woman smiled and teared up.
It's a pleasure to see a maestro operate. People who say "He can't win against Hillary", should consider the above little overture.

#1  He knows how to play it. That's for sure.

#2  I'd put his instincts against all the best minds that Hillary is likely to assemble.

#3  That's not much of a bet, Ebbang.

Trump faces test with Israel speech
[FOXNEWS] While today’s American Israel Public Affairs Committee Conference has drawn nearly all the presidential candidates to Washington, the brightest and potentially harshest spotlight falls on Donald Trump. Whether Trump will make waves or smooth the concerns of Jewish voters will garner close scrutiny and will test his ability to prove his foreign policy bona fides.

Over the course of his campaign the Republican frontrunner has had issues connecting with Jewish groups. When speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition in December, Trump made a few cracks using comedic stereotypes, saying in his speech, "Is there anyone in this room who doesn’t negotiate deals? Probably more than any room I’ve ever spoken."

Trump has also gotten into hot water with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When Trump called for a ban on all Muslims entering the United States, Netanyahu expressed disagreement with the proposal, which in turn led Trump to cancel a planned trip to Israel.

Trump also rattled nerves at a town hall event last month when he said that he’d be "neutral" between the Israelis and the Paleostinians, a reversal of the United States’ position as a staunch ally of Israel. In an interview with the AP, Trump appeared to lay much of the fault for a lack of a peace agreement at the feet of Israel saying, "A lot will have to do with Israel and whether or not Israel wants to make the deal -- whether or not Israel’s willing to sacrifice certain things," [continuing] "They may not be, and I understand that, and I’m OK with that. But then you’re just not going to have a deal."

#1  OTOH, "The Donuuuld" is quoted as saying that ISRAEL can pay more for its own defense or security, rhetoric which among other close US ally JAPAN worried.

* MANILA TIMES > WHAT IFF CHINA ATTACKS [PH = EDCA] BASES USED BY THE AMERICANS?

PH at high risk of Chinese military attack irregardless iff any US-vs-China mil confrontation, shooting war takes place in the South China Sea, East China Sea, Taiwan, andor the Koreas.

WILL 2016 POTUS CANDIDATE TRUMP = POST-JAN. 2017 POTUS TRUMP = POTUS TEDDY ROSSEVELT = REPEAT "T.R."S RECORD OF OVERSEAS MIL SUCCESS, OR IN ALTERN RESTORATION OF US MILPOL CREDIBILITY???

#2  If "neutral" means no more American "Peace Plans", I'm all for it.

#3  Gutting the pro-PLO State Department and policies would be a shift to neutrality.

#4  this article was from before the Trump speech

Turns out the Trump speech at AIPAC was a blockbuster success.

#6  Hillary Clinton's AIPAC speech

Bernie Sanders turned down his invitation to speak at AIPAC. Excerpts from the speech he made elsewhere.

#7  Later in the speech, he seemed to say he would enforce the deal rigorously, not “dismantle” it.

"I know some people, here in New York, who are good at enforcing. In fact, you could call them professional enforcers."

#8  From the Beest's speech - It would be a serious mistake for the United States to abandon our responsibilities, or cede the mantle of leadership for global peace and security to anyone else.

Too late, sweetheart, your predecessor has already accomplished those goals.
