[BLOOMBERG] Aetna Inc. will leave the few remaining states where it had been selling Obamacare ... aka the Affordable Care Act, an ineptly designed and worse executed piece of legislation designed to bring 17 percent of the U.S. economy under the direct control of the government. The previous iteration, known as Hillarycare, was laughed out of Washington. This stinker was passed on a party-line vote without being read... plans next year, making it the latest health insurer to pull out of the health law as Republicans attack the program as failing and work to dismantle it.
While the move is likely to attract outsize political attention, the decision affects just Delaware and Nebraska. The Hartford, Connecticut-based insurer already said last year it would pull out of 11 states, and in the last month announced plans to exit Iowa and Virginia.
"At this time have completely exited the exchanges," Aetna said in a statement Wednesday. The insurer will also stop selling non-Obamacare individual plans in Delaware and Nebraska.

Like a lot of Californians, I have relatives in the Midwest. I've spent considerable time there. Yes, it is the hinterlands. But it's refreshing to go there now and see rural land, farm land, that isn't coveted by developers who can only envision massive housing tracts that will make them rich like they do in California.
And the people in the Midwest may be hicks, if that's what you want to call them. But it doesn't mean they're stupid. They are most certainly not dumb enough to get stuck in a squalid Los Angeles apartment building or get stuck in horrendous traffic jams every day attempting to get to work. The air they breath in the Midwest is not polluted and the streets are a whole heckuva lot safer.
Call 'em podunk if you want, Anna. Just don't measure your IQ against them.

How utterly parochial. But about what one would expect, including the arrogant rudeness. The amusing thing is how many people have moved here from the so-"sophisticated" coasts, and would rather have all their teeth pulled than go back for longer than a visit.
But the real issue is that once the interior of the country gets broadband, they will be competing with the coast for all those telecommute jobs... and can charge less because their cost of living is significantly lower except in Chicago. Outsourcing to the middle of America is so much more heartbreaking than sending the jobs to India or the Philippines.

"No, no you're not confused," Waters told Alexander.
"I am confused," Alexander responded.

Waters and other Donks complain about the timing of the Comey firing? If Trump fired Comey right after his inauguration, they would still complain about the timing. If Trump fired Comey on the last day of his presidency, they would complain. So who really gives a $hit what they think about the firing.
