Senator Feinstein says no law could've stopped Vegas gunman
Sen. Dianne Feinstein told CBS "Face the Nation" no law would have stopped the Las Vegas shooter from killing 58 people and injuring more than 500 at a country music concert last week.
Someone pinch me! Did a Donk just admit the truth about criminals and guns? Boy is she going to catch hell for that.
The California Democrat made the common sense comment as Congress debates how ‐ or whether ‐ to move forward on gun control measures that would prevent another Las Vegas-like tragedy. CBS "Face the Nation" host John Dickerson asked Feinstein if Congress could pass any law that would have stopped Stephen Paddock's rampage.

"No, he passed background checks registering for handguns and other weapons on multiple occasions," said Feinstein, who noted Paddock didn't display any of the signs one might look for in a potential shooter like a criminal record or mental illness.

But Feinstein doesn't believe that means Congress should do nothing on gun control.
Instead, we should take advantage of the situation while people are still emotional about it.
She has introduced a bill to ban "bump stocks," the device law enforcement say allowed Paddock used to transform semi-automatic guns to fire like automatic guns. The legislation currently has 38 Democratic sponsors and no Republican sponsors, although Feinstein said some Republicans have shown interest. Last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee said President Trump is "open" to conversations about bump stocks.

Feinstein said banning bump stocks is "one small thing" that Congress can do to take these weapon transformers out of circulation, and rejected the notion that the bill will lead to banning semi-automatic weapons or seriously restricting gun access in some other way. The bump stock ban was a part of broader assault weapons legislation many Democrats supported in 2013. That bill failed.

"It's a two-page bill, I'll send a copy of it to anyone who calls our office, and you can look at it yourself," Feinstein said. "It does not take anyone's gun."
Then why bother?
The California senator did criticize a concealed-carry reciprocity bill currently in the Senate. That legislation would allow people who have concealed carry permits in one state to use that permit in any other state.
Because you can't trust anyone from outside California.
"Well, my opinion of that bill is it's terrible," she said. "We want every American to feel comfortable packing a concealed weapon around the country? I represent 40 million Californians, and I can say without hesitation Californians do not want concealed carry."
Maybe from LA and SF, anyway. Heaven forbid someone from another state would use a gun to stop a madman and make California look as stupid as it is. Wouldn't want the criminal population to feel they were being discriminated against.
Feinstein also pushed back on the idea that concealed carry permits are explicitly protected by the Second Amendment.
If CC is good enough for your protection detail, it should be good enough for the unwashed masses. Who your protection detail comes from. And you, too.
"Well, I don't believe it's protected by the Constitution," Feinstein said, adding that reciprocity would only make the gun situation in America worse.
Says the senator from a failing state.
Feinstein also touched on foreign affairs, as the Trump administration looks to possibly pull out of the Iran nuclear deal. After a recent Senate Judiciary Committee intelligence briefing, Feinstein said there is "no question" Iran has complied with the stricture of the deal. Whenever a question arose about compliance, it was handled, she said.
Including the ones that we can't prove an answer to because the fox is guarding the henhouse?
"There is no question but that Iran has complied with the strictures of the deal, and when either IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) found something or anyone else found something, it was quickly remedied if there was a glitch," Feinstein said. "So they have cooperated, I think, 100 percent."
No question, eh? Are you willing to bet accepting reciprocity on that? I will because I don't have the problems that you seem to have about not understanding that which isn't happening right in front of your face.
That doesn't mean everyone approves of what Iran is doing, she said. But Feinstein fears pulling out of the agreement would have broader implications beyond Iran.
Read the agreement. Iran has no implications. Except for the fact that they got their money, which doesn't seem to be doing much in the way of bettering the lives of the Iranian citizens. I wonder where it's going.
"I think the biggest ramification from this would be to really create a crisis with North Korea, because it would give North Korea reason to believe well nothing the Republicans do can you trust," Feinstein said. "When you have the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, China, and the United States all agreeing to support something, and the United States goes through an election, the new president pulls us out, what does that say? It says you can't do business with America."
I think what you meant to say was that anyone with two brain cells to rub together can screw America whenever the Dems are in charge. Especially Obumhole. Less so Bush and Clinton.

#4  I agree Murcek. Prepping the battlespace.

"We want every American to feel comfortable packing a concealed weapon around the country? I represent 40 million Californians, and I can say without hesitation Californians do not want concealed carry."

Willful ignorance. A vast majority of people outside the blue areas on the coast of CA are very much for it. They live in the third world hellhole Sacramento has created and don't feel safe or the government looks out for their interests and safety. (Hint: It really doesn't)

Globalists (liberals, progressives) will not stop until they have complete power over everyone's life. Which means they need your guns to do it.

#7  Unless you believe that this nut-case was under the impression that it is legal to shoot at crowds of people you must accept that he was not one who avoids breaking laws. Thus it is almost impossible to believe that some new gun law would deter him from any action at all.
Converting a rifle to automatic fire is a felony.
The only reason for passing new laws would be to make it harder for a feloniously minded person to arm himself for the mayhem he planned.
The device that it is said to convert his guns to automatic firing was outlawed until 2010, and I do not understand why it was made legal then. Perhaps the Obama administration can explain it.
Since only legal sales are affected by laws, outlawing things tends to drive their sale underground, which actually makes them harder to control.
It is only honest folk who would think of paying attention to new gun laws. They are precisely those who you do not need control.
All of this is so obvious it is probably silly to bother noticing it.

Big Money Donors Trying To Overthrow Trump Revealed. Here’s The List
[DCWHISPERS] The Kellogg Foundation. The Ford Foundation. The Open Society Foundation. (G. Soros) The Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Endowment. The Marquerite Casey Foundation. Fidelity Charitable Gift. The open borders-promoting National Immigration Law Center.

These are some of the very deep pocket groups that have donated MILLIONS to the far-left, hard boy Center for Community Change which has been described as follows:

The Center for Community Change, a Washington, D.C.-based 501 (c)(3) progressive community organizing group that does not reveal its donors, has been involved in direct action against President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
and Republicans before and after the November elections. The organization’s members sit on the boards of other prominent liberal activist groups. LINK

You want to know why so few members of Congress are willing to work with POTUS Trump? Look no further than the above list which in turn represents a powerhouse lobbying effort to keep the Trump White House isolated and the American people suffering because the America-first Trump agenda is being stifled.

At the very same time the Ford Foundation was collaborating with The Center for Community Change it was seeking to exert its influence much more directly upon the Establishment Media as outlined via this report last summer:

...According to the Washington Post, the Ford Foundation has given the newspaper some $500,000 to hire four new staff ‐ a lucrative $125,000 per job deal. The goal: to try "new approaches to preserve and advance high-quality journalism."

The above scenario is being played out among media outlets all across the country and is a critical part of the "eliminate Trump" effort that began as soon as he won the 2016 Election.

And you want to know who some of the powerful Establishment Republicans are who have been taking cash from these far-left anti-American groups? Here is a partial list that went public nearly two years ago:

Records: Soros Fund Execs Funded Paul Ryan
...Speaker of the House, U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, serving since 1999. He is a member of the Republican Party. He proposed an alternative to President Obama's 2011 budget and made himself the target of both Democrat and Republican verbal pies...
, Marco Rubio
The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida...
, Jeb Bush, John Maverick McCain
... the Senator-for-Life from Arizona, former presidential candidate and even more former foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution. As an ordinary citizen he greased the infamous hookers peeing on the Obamabed in Moscow dossier in an attempt to smear President Trump...
, John Kasich
...political has-been current Republican governor of Ohio...
, Lindsey Graham
... the endangered South Carolina RINO, fellow maverick of Honest John McCain...
in 2016

...The biggest recipient of Soros-connected cash in the GOP was none other than House Speaker Paul Ryan, who repeatedly attempted to undermine Trump over the course of the election. (And continues to do so now via obstruction and support of ongoing Congressional investigations.)

A coup took place in American in 2008. If you didn’t know that it’s simply because the Establishment Media has lied about it ever since ‐ because it too was part of the overthrow of power.

The 2016 Election was a conscious and subconscious effort by millions of American voters to fight back. There were some who voted for Donald Trump simply because their gut informed them he was different. He was not part of the D.C. political cabal. Theirs was not a vote for a party or a specific ideology. They simply wanted to be part of saving the country.

2016 was a battle won but the war very much rages on.

Breitbart Goes ‘Old Hickory’ in Tennessee, Gets 2 Establishment Scalps
[BREITBART] In three short weeks Breitbart News reporting drove two of the three leading establishment Republicans in Tennessee out of the state’s 2018 U.S. Senate race.

First up was incumbent Senator Bob Corker (R-TN), who made a surprise announcement on September 26 he would not run for re-election, one day after a Breitbart News report about his sweetheart deal in an Alabama retail center development in which Alabama taxpayers are set to pay him more than $3 million over 20 years in sales tax incentive rebates.

Though his announcement that he would not seek re-election was couched in terms that claimed it had been made "[a]fter much thought, consideration and family discussion over the past year," its suddenness‐and the fact that Corker felt compelled to offer a lame and incomplete explanation for his investment in a deal that epitomizes the swamp in which the political elite thrive‐underscores the potency of the Breitbart News report.

Then came Gov. Bill Haslam, like Corker a "moderate" establishment Republican from East Tennessee.

With Corker out of the race, all eyes turned to the scion of the wealthy Haslam family, whose personal $2.5 billion net worth derives from his inherited ownership interest in the Pilot Flying J national truck stop chain.

VP Pence Walks Out of NFL Game Over Players Kneeling Protest
[NBC] Vice President Mike Pence walked out of a football game between the Indianapolis Colts and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday after roughly a dozen players from the 49ers took a knee during the national anthem.

The former Indiana governor flew to Lucas Oil Stadium so he could watch Peyton Manning's jersey retirement ceremony. Manning will become the first Indianapolis-era player in Colts history to have his number retired and will also be inducted into the team's Ring of Honor.

The White House issued a statement regarding Pence's departure from the game, which reads as follows:

"I left today's Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem. At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don't think it's too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem. I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem."

#1  The usual screeching will occur over his action being "anti free speech." In his governmental role, he did not stop anybody from kneeling or doing anything else. As a citizen, he exercised his right to disagree with the speech of others. Severely subtle distinction always totally missed by the "press." Sort of like semi-auto / auto. They just don't get it. We've seen this sort of thing all throughout Obama's presidency - it's not the actions / 'stunts' of the left that are the problem, it is our reaction to these events that is the problem. Note that the NFL decided to shut its mouth on Sunday about this one, having seen the fallout (read - TV ratings hit) they've got whacked with the past few weeks.

Yes. But the stadium owners should be a bit concerned. Parking, concessions, merchandise. Spent as much, if not more, on parking, food and trinkets as I did on the tickets. Advertisers pay big money to have their logo viewed at the stadium. Commercials on the big screen in between camera takes. Programs and their ad content.

Me, I got the Scrabble board out and played a round with the kids, turned on some music (kids absolutely love late 70s/early 80s).

These stats are need to establish advertising rates. Local dude wanted me to advertise with them, gave me a rate 'prime time 5-7 on the ESPN and all major news channels.' Why would I want to do that? Not my customers, so not at that price. Dude gave me that I know I know, just trying to do my job look.
