[Khaama Press] At least 21 non-combatants were killed or maimed in mortar attack by the Talibs in eastern Nangahrar province of Afghanistan.
According to the local officials, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at around 5 am local time in Bati Kot district.
The provincial government media office in a statement said a mortar round fired by the Talibs landed in Hafiz Godai area, leaving at least two civilians dead.
The statement further added that the attack also left at least 19 civilians who have been shifted to the hospital in Jalalabad city.
According to the provincial government, the health condition of those maimed in the attack have been reported as stable and are currently being treated in the hospital.
The anti-government armed Lion of Islam groups including Talibs have not commented regarding the report so far.
[ToloNews] The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that three attacks carried out by seven jacket wallahs in different parts of Kabul left five people dead and 16 maimed.
The first attack occurred at about 11:30am Kabul time in which two suicide bombers stormed the PD13 Police Headquarters’ building at Dasht-e-Barchi area, west of Kabul, Interior Ministry front man Najib Danish told TOLOnews.
He said one police officer and a police soldier were killed and two others maimed in the attack.
He added that the second kaboom occurred when a suicide bomber was recognized and stopped by police force members in Mahtab Qala area at Dasht-e-Barchi. He said no one was hurt in this attack.
He added that the third attack occurred when four suicide bombers stormed the PD10 Police Headquarters’ building in Shahr-e-Naw ‐ in downtown Kabul.
According to him, the attack occurred at about 12:30pm when a suicide bomber blew up his explosives near the police headquarters and other attackers started storming the compound.
Danish said the attack ended at around 6:30pm after all attackers were bumped off by government forces.
Addressing a presser in Kabul on Wednesday afternoon, Interior Minister Wais Ahmad Barmak said five attackers were involved in the attack on PD10 Police Headquarters' building in Kabul's Shahr-e-Naw area.

[RADIOSHABELLE] A Somali official says more than 10 people were killed and several maimed in a deadly suicide kaboom at a busy market in Wanlaweyn town, about 90Km west of Mogadishu.
Confirming the incident, Abdifitah Hajji Abdulle, the deputy governor of Lower Shabelle region in charge of the finance said a bomber let 'er rip at the market.
Abdulle added that the bomber targeted a marketplace in Wanlaweyn, where Khat (narcotic leaves) is sold, killing civilians, including women.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast but the Somalia-based al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... has carried out similar attacks in the region.
Wanlaweyn lies on the outskirts of Balidogle airbase in Somalia’s southern Lower Shabelle region, where the U.S. special forces operate a major base.

[FRONTPAGEMAG] Iranian dissident Mansoor Osanloo, the exiled former head of the bus driver’s union in Tehran, was savagely attacked on Tuesday, May 1, while traveling on a PATH train into New York City, and left for dead.
Multiple assailants sprayed him with a corrosive chemical, then clubbed him in the back of the neck with what appears to have been a tire iron. He lay in a coma for several days and required 17 stitches in his neck.
I spoke with Osanloo on Monday, not long after he awoke from a coma.
"I don’t remember anything," he said. "But you can see from the pictures that I was sprayed with some kind of a chemical weapon and smashed in the head.This was a terrorist attack."
Photographs taken at the hospital show a horribly-disfugured Osanloo. The burns to his skin are reminiscent of mustard gas attacks.
Osanloo has been instrumental in planning mass protests across Iran in recent months, and is the most prominent Iranian labor leader, in Iran or in exile. He was traveling to the New York studio of Iran International Television for an interview at the invitation of broadcaster Askar Ramazanzadi.
It remains unclear who funds the new "exile" TV based in London. But it has attracted many former broadcasters from Voice of America, such as Mohammad Manzapour, who were forced to resign from VOA because of alleged ties to the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. An initial report on the Telegram channel of Amadnews, a website that boasts of close ties to "dissidents" within the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in Tehran, cited a U.S.-based "associate" who claimed that Oslanloo had been the victim of an "attempted liquidation."
That report appeared on May 2nd at 2:54 pm, before any public information had been released on the attack and while Osanloo himself was still in a coma. It begs the question of whether Ahmadnews had inside information from the attackers themselves.
Amadnews next claimed that its initial information of an liquidation attempt had been "confirmed" by Iran International TV, the same channel that had invited Osanloo for the interview in New York. That report appeared at 5:09 PM.
Later, Ahmadnews cited the television as claiming that Osanloo had been injured in a car accident and had hit his head on the steering wheel.
That later Iran International TV report quoted Osanloo’s wife as saying he had been injured in a car accident.
"That is absurd," Osanloo told me. "I don’t even drive. Everybody knows this. I always take public transit."

The Kohsar police arrested the suspect from the parking area of the district and sessions court Islamabad, an official told Dawn. He had allegedly threatened and assaulted the police officials besides trying to help a US diplomat escape from police custody after a fatal traffic accident.
On April 8, US Defence and Air Attaché Col Joseph Emanuel jumped the red light on Margalla Road and hit two young men riding a cycle of violence. One of them died and his pillion rider was injured.
The CSO reached the spot - Zoo Chowk - and threatened the police officials for holding the diplomat. Besides, he also put up resistance against the police to help the diplomat escape, said the police.
Investigating officer of the case Inspector Arshad Ali told Dawn that the victim’s father had lodged a complaint with the police against the CSO. In response, an inquiry was conducted which found the CSO guilty. Later, he was nominated in the FIR already registered in the case.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (operations) Asmatullah Junejo told Dawn that the victim’s father had also complained to the inspector general of the police that the CSO came to the Kohsar cop shoppe with gunnies and harassed and threatened the police and took away the diplomat along with him.
SHO Kohsar Inspector Khalid Awan in his statement also said the security officer had visited his office and harassed him and his staff.

Nineveh (Iraqinews.com) – Three terrorists were arrested Wednesday by Iraqi intelligence services in Mosul city, the Security Media Council said on Wednesday.
“The 20th brigade of the Iraqi military intelligence set an ambush in Hamam al-Alil town in southern Mosul, managing to arrest three terrorists,” Alghad Press quoted the council as saying in a statement.
“The trio were wanted by Iraqi judiciary on terror charges pursuant to article 4/1 of the anti-terrorism law,” the statement read.
The anti-terrorism law empowers courts to convict people who are believed to have helped jihadists even if they are not accused of carrying out attacks.
Experts estimate that Iraq is holding 20,000 people in jail over suspected IS membership. There is no official figure, according to AFP.

at first analysis it seems Israel tried to attack only IRG places and leave Hezbollah assets alone, although any Hezb guys in the IRG assets would have been killed or injured
I don't think there is much chance of Hezb formally splitting from Iran since Hezb is dependent on Iran funds but there might be a soft sort of split

Paleostinian rioters threw a pipe bomb at the entrance gate of a Border Police base in the West Bak town of Abu Dis just outside Jerusalem, authorities said Wednesday.
Damage was caused to the gate, but no injuries were reported from the explosive. A statement from Border Police said officers were using "nonlethal measures" to disperse the dozens of demonstrators.
During the riot, authorities said one officer was moderately injured after being hit with a stone.

As festivities erupted between the inmates and the officers in the prison, some inmates managed to escape by breaking down doors and slipping out of their cellblock, according to the officials.

The prisoners stole guns, ammunition and weapons, the officials said, adding that some of the coppers remain in captivity.
A tense situation has last at the prison for over 18 hours now, with coppers seeking to arrest inmates involved in the riot on "terrorism" charges.
Negotiations to resolve the crisis have also been taking place between since Tuesday night, reports have said.

[Rudaw] Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are steadily advancing against ISIS in the remaining areas the murderous Moslem group holds in eastern Deir ez-Zor province.
They have advanced 12 kilometres and arrived at the western gate of Hajin town.
"The distance between ISIS and us is roughly 200 meters," said Haval Bahoz, an SDF fighter.
SDF commanders predict nearly 2,000 ISIS gunnies are in this region.
Deputy commander of the coalition’s combined joint task force, Maj. Gen. Felix Gedney, said in a tweet on Tuesday that ISIS fighters "continue to surrender rather than face certain death."
The SDF announced on May 1 the final phase of its operations against ISIS in the Hajin pocket and in al-Dashisha along the border with Iraq.
Iraqi jets struck alleged positions of ISIS leaders in Dashisha on the weekend.
Gedney said the SDF is coordinating with Iraqi security forces operating across the border.

[PRESSTV] Syrian government forces have launched several intensive strikes on terrorist-held positions located to the south of the capital Damascus.
Syria's official SANA news agency reported on Wednesday that the Syrian air force backed by army artillery fire launched a series of attacks in the northern part of al-Hajar al-Aswad region.
The precision strikes are aimed at isolating the bully boyz by cutting off their supply routes and ridding the region of their presence.
