The Dichpally police arrested five men belonging to Hyderabad for teasing a Norwegian woman in a tourist bus bound for Shirdi on Monday night.
On a complaint lodged by the bus driver, the police took into custody Vijay, Uppal Chander, Chitram Ranjith, Raidurgam Saikumar and P. Sudarshan Reddy aged between 23 and 30 and registered a case under Sections 290, 506, and 507 of the Indian Penal Code. They were remanded in custody for 14 days and lodged in the district jail.
Sub-Inspector Naresh said the 23-year-old woman, who was on an all-India tour, boarded the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation bus in Hyderabad on Monday evening.
Noting that she was alone, the men, who were drunk, started teasing her. On reaching Dichpally, the driver complained against them, he said.

[FRANCE24] Troubled US actress Lindsay Lohan was sentenced Monday to 90 days in locked rehab facility, as part of a plea deal announced as her trial for allegedly lying to police was due to begin.
The 26-year-old was also sentenced to two years' probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor charges stemming from a car crash in Santa Monica in June 2012.
She will also have to carry out 30 days of community labor and undergo 18 months of psychotherapy as part of the deal, which also suspends a 180-day jail sentence for a separate probation violation.
Lohan was charged with obstructing a police officer, giving false testimony and driving recklessly, after the accident in which the Porsche she was driving hit a truck on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Last Monday, a 19-year-old Tunisian woman named Amina posted on Facebook a photo of her naked upper body bearing the slogan "my body belongs to me, and is not the source of the honor of anyone." She announced that she represents the Femen movement in Tunisia.
Founded in 2008, Femen is a Ukrainian feminist group that organizes topless protests to advocate for women's liberation. Its activities have spread to other countries, with branches of the organization active in locations such as France and Germany. Earlier this month, Femen announced that they will open a branch in Tunisia to protest the oppression of women.
Amina, the Tunisian woman who posed topless, said, "In July, I saw the photos of Femen and I started reading about them. I liked that their message was radical. It was the first time I saw women who are not posing naked for the camera but are angrily protesting. I contacted them and Skyped several times."
She added that, "if I posted a picture of myself wearing a t-shirt with that slogan, it wouldn't have any impact. I want the message to be read this way. (A woman's) body is hers -- not her father's, her husband's or her brother's."
Amina's photos caused controversy among Facebook users. Some admired her bravery, while others thought that her actions were immature and would only endanger the struggle for women's equality.
Amina said, "I received death threats. But I don't think that what will happen to me can be worse than the situation of women. [...] When a woman takes off her shirt, that mean she has reached the breaking point and can't take it anymore."
A video of a woman identifying herself as Amina's aunt and denouncing her niece's actions was posted yesterday on YouTube. She said, "Amina does not exist anymore for me. She is responsible for her acts, and we are devastated by what she did. Our family is educated and open-minded and we did everything we could for her. Her father has been crying and has been in a miserable state."
She added: "I hope she pays for her actions. She does not represent her country or Tunisian women."
[MAGHAREBIA] Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal on Sunday (March 17th) called for a series of urgent measures to prevent and punish the kidnapping of children, APS reported. According to Interior Minister Daho Ould Kablia, the new measures - including stiffer penalties - will be announced this week.
The move was spurred by the murder of two school children last week in Constantine. On Sunday, thousands of Constantine citizens marched to show solidarity with the families of the victims and to demand justice.

[Global Post] As Egypt's police force continues to strike in much of the country, the government considers a controversial option.
It seems police here have finally had enough.
Earlier this month -- following more than a month of festivities between security forces and protesters, in which at least two coppers died -- riot police and regular officers started a near-nationwide strike to protest intolerable working conditions and what they say is their role as political pawns in the government's fight with the opposition.
Egyptians say they've noticed little difference with the police, whose notorious brutality spawned the uprising here two years ago, now that they're off the streets. Their presence often provoked more violence anyway, they say.
But the mutiny has also given rise to alarming calls by officials for "popular committees" -- or militias -- and private security companies to both legally and informally assume police duties to fill the vacuum.
Residents here are worried government-sanctioned vigilantism will pave the way for further chaos and a possible collapse of the state.
"If militias come out, this means that the state has collapsed," said 55-year-old Ahmed Mohammed Mustafa, the owner of a fruit and vegetable stand near some of the most intense festivities in Cairo in recent weeks. "Nobody can stop them from coming into our neighborhoods and doing whatever they want. How are we supposed to know who they are?"
The unprecedented police strike -- which has subsided temporarily in the capital but continues in other provinces -- poses a serious challenge for the already teetering government of President Mohamed Morsi.
Morsi and the Moslem Brüderbund group he once led has sought to co-opt the largely anti-Islamist interior ministry during their time in power, deploying them to use the same methods as their dictatorial predecessor and abandoning calls for police reform.
But the moves have apparently backfired. Police conscripts admit they are ill-equipped to patrol the nation's increasingly restive cities, given the rising anger, and that the country's slide into chaos needs radical political prescriptions.
Now, the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) is spearheading the drafting of a law that would allow private security companies to control the population, possibly as a bid to sideline an increasingly unfriendly police force.
And its Islamist allies in the southern province Assiut -- the former bully boy group, Gama'a Islamiya -- are forming cycle of violence-riding committees that blare Koran verses to monitor security there.
"Most protests do not need a security solution, but a political solution, which we cannot provide," said Farag Ahmed Farag, a riot policeman who helped organize strikes in Cairo. "We definitely provoke more anger on the streets. When we are there, the protesters become more violent. We just want to be able to confront thugs and criminals."
In Garden City, an upscale Cairo quarter just south of Tahrir Square that hosts the US Embassy, residents and shopkeepers say their lives are plagued by insecurity, both political and criminal.
"There is no security here. There are thefts and fights break out," said 27-year-old Hazem Al Azaz, a local grocer. The Qasr Al Nil cop shoppe, which early last week temporarily halted its strike, is just blocks from his shop.
"Since the revolution, the police have not done their job," he said. "We cannot see a difference between when they are on strike and when they are working."
But the prospect of private security contractors -- which operate outside the command and control structure of the interior ministry -- arriving to police the area deeply worries Al Azaz and his neighbors.
According to a senior Brotherhood leader in Alexandria, Ahmed Al Nahhas, the justice ministry would issue special permits to security companies to procure arms and make arrests.
Nahhas says citizens would be able to appeal to the public prosecution in the event of any abuses by security contractors.
But, he says, "I don't really understand how it would work."
That inspires little faith among rights groups, who add that both the justice ministry and attorney general have taken a more active role in helping cover up police abuses.
"[Justice Minister] Ahmed Mekki made it very clear to us: he is unabashedly pro-police, and he denies systematic torture and abuse" among security forces, said Karim Medhat Ennarah, security sector researcher at the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights.
As a result, rights groups say, it is unlikely prosecutors will adequately investigate mercenaries with an already ambiguous legal status.
"Nobody will accept militias on the streets -- this is completely unacceptable," said 20-year-old Ehab Qandil, who sells snacks and cigarettes in Garden City. "They will cause problems and the people will clash with them. They have no authority."
Egyptians say they would much rather see a better-equipped and reformed police force return to the streets than have law-and-order fall into the hands of vigilantes.
"The police have to change their behavior. But the police have to stay the police," said Mustafa, the fruit vendor. "Nobody can secure the street except for the government."

The contract is alleged to have been signed by former Parliament President Evangelos Meimarakis, a close associate of former prime minister Costas Karamanlis. During Meimarakis' tenure, the Greek Parliament had been repeatedly surrounded by thousands of demonstrators chanting "Burn, burn, let that brothel burn." Meimarakis, known for his colourful language, had recently been alleged to have ties to an alleged multi-billion tax evasion and corruption scheme run by fugitive Greek businessman G. Karouzos.

Damaturu -- A black bull with what looked like the name of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), formed by white skin, inscribed on its forehead is attracting a lot of people to Nguru, Yobe State, all trooping to catch a glimpse of the animal.
Weekly Trust gathered that the Yobe State government had to intervene and bought the bull after people have turned the house of its owner in Nguru into a Mecca of sorts.
Sheikh Yusuf added that "It is telling that the name of the Prophet appeared in white even though the cow is completely black skinned. More so, it was written on the face. This is enough for us to appreciate and preach that Islam is the religion of God," he said. And the connection of the 'bull' and the Prophet must have significance.....

Former Belarusian military intelligence officer Stsyapan Zakharchanka has been granted political asylum in Lithuania.
Zakharchanka said that Lithuanian officials made the asylum decision last week. He said he would be allowed to stay in the EU for five years.
Zakharchanka made news in the summer of 2011 after he defected to Lithuania. He later said that he defected because his life was being threatened. He said he was severely beaten and hospitalized after refusing to sign an agreement to shoot at unarmed protesters in Belarus if ordered to do so by his supervisors.
The Belarusian Defense Ministry has rejected Zakharchanka's accusations.
Japan said Monday it had protested to Paris over a French firm's sale of helicopter landing equipment to China, at a time of heightened territorial tensions between Tokyo and Beijing.
France-based naval defence firm DCNS has sold at least 11 sets of the equipment, which help helicopters land on ships in bad weather, officials said, sparking complaints in February.
"We have expressed our concerns," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told a news conference on Monday, while a foreign ministry official added the protest was made through the embassy in Paris after DCNS announced the sales.
An earlier report by the Asahi Shimbun said the protest came after Japan spotted a sales contract between DCNS and China for two of the marine patrol vessels Beijing frequently sends into waters around the contested islands.
The equipment is a large, perforated steel plate that gives purchase to a grappling hook sent out by the helicopter, which can then use the guideline to draw itself down to the deck.
Japan fears the equipment could boost China's underdeveloped helicopter landing technology and may pose a threat to Japan's control of the Senkaku islands, which China claims under the name Diaoyu, the Asahi report said.
In response, Paris told Tokyo that the transactions were outside the European Union's ban on arms exports to China, the report said.
Without commenting on the report, a foreign ministry official told AFP: "We'll continue conveying Japanese concerns to France on future diplomatic opportunities."
The long-running row over the islands intensified in September when Tokyo nationalised part of the chain, triggering fury in Beijing and anti-Japan demonstrations across China.
Beijing has repeatedly sent ships and aircraft near the islands and both sides have scrambled fighter jets, though there have been no clashes.

AN adulterous Iraqi taxi driver has been awarded an Australian refugee visa after he convinced the Refugee Review Tribunal he would be hunted down by an infuriated husband who caught him in an tryst with his wife.
The Shia refugee, who arrived by boat from Indonesia in December 2011, claimed the husband, an Iraqi soldier, chased him through city streets after uncovering the affair, repeatedly firing a handgun at him.
Although his asylum claim was initially rejected by the Immigration Department, the refugee was among more than 500 boatpeople to successfully appeal their case at the Refugee Review Tribunal since July.
The Australian reported yesterday that in the past eight months, three quarters of boatpeople who appealed against their failed asylum claims in the RRT have been rewarded with permanent residency in Australia.
The tribunal accepted the Iraqi man had no viable asylum claim under the 1951 Refugee Convention but decided to grant him "complementary protection" because he would probably have faced serious harm if returned.
Giving evidence to the tribunal, the taxi driver recounted how his 31-year marriage to a cousin had grown tiresome - including in the bedroom - when an attractive, unmarried 38-year-old woman hired his cab in 2006.
They struck up an instant rapport and, after five meetings, the infatuated man approached her family with a plan to divorce his wife and wed the younger woman.
The offer, which was made behind his wife's back, was rebuffed. A marriage was instead arranged to the Iraqi soldier, whom her family liked better.
The taxi driver and his lover were apart for six months, until the woman began inviting him over for sex whenever her husband was at work, often twice a week.
The affair ended after 18 months, when the soldier came home earlier than expected at 9pm one night. The taxi driver was frightened for his life - extramarital relations are sometimes punished by "honour killing" in extreme Islamic circles - and scaled a wall into the front garden.
The soldier, recognising the taxi driver and incensed by what he had uncovered, drew his handgun and gave chase, firing several rounds at him through the darkness.
As the soldier and his family hunted for him, the taxi driver fled across Iraq's southern border to Kuwait. The refugee's family sought to negotiate a truce, but the soldier was in no mood to deal.
After flying to Malaysia, he reached Indonesia before making the treacherous month-long journey to Australia aboard a smuggler's boat.
His mistress was beaten by her husband until she confessed the affair, and he then divorced her.
Refugee Review Tribunal member Rosemary Mathlin found in December that although he did not fear harm for a convention reason - such as race or political opinion - she awarded "complementary protection" because it was "highly probable that if the applicant returns to Iraq he will be killed by the husband of his former lover".
Ms Mathlin said it would be unreasonable to expect the man, from Thi Qar province in Iraq's south, to resettle elsewhere in Iraq, such as a Shia neighbourhood in Baghdad, even if the husband did not find him.
"Without (tribal and family connections) he would face discrimination in relation to housing, employment and basic services, and . . . he may even face physical danger."
Iraqi law prescribes a lesser sentence for "honour killing" than it does for murder.

[Dawn] The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered on Monday for the former federal interior minister Rehman Malik to be indicted on Mar 25 over a contempt of court notice issued over the case pertainging to corruption in the Pakistan Steel Mills, DawnNews reported.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhamma Chudhry resumed the hearing over the case pertaining to contempt of court against the former federal minister.
During the hearing Rehman Malik said that with the submission of his apology, he had left himself at the mercy of the court.
He added that it was in the court's domain to reject or accept his apology.
The court ordered for the proceedings over the case to continue and appointed Advocate General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir as the prosecutor in the case.
Rehman Malik had tendered an apology letter to the SC on Feb 28 this year after the court had sought a written explanation of the reasons for change of the FIA team investigating the alleged corruption of Rs26 billion in Pakistan Steel Mills.

The head of the Lhokseumawe Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and Shariah Police in Aceh has tested positive for marijuana use after slamming his car into a tree and a house on Sunday night, police said.
Shariah Police officer Zulkarnain lost control of his car after leaving his office in Simpang Asmi, Kutablang village on Sunday. Another officer came to investigate the accident, where he discovered hashish inside Zulkarnains car.
His urine test shows that he was consuming drugs, head of the Lhokseumawe police narcotics division, First. Insp. Poeloeng Arsa, told Atjehpost.com on Monday.
Zulkarnain was not arrested after the officer found the illegal substance because injuries he sustained during the accident required immediate treatment. He was admitted to the Kasih Ibu Hospital, where he received 20 stitches for a wound on his lips.
Poeloeng told Detik.com that Zulkarnain will be questioned by police after he recovers from his injuries.
Zulkarnain, who has been the head of the Shariah Police since December 2012, denied the allegation that he was under the influence of marijuana before the accident. He said that he lost control of his car when one of his front tires blew.
