FBI Documents Connect Aryan Brotherhood with Mexican Cartels
And of course the Mexican cartels are connected to Hizb'allah, Hamas, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in another Axis of Evil.

#1  Interesting. The cartels appear to be using "home grown" hit men. Of course all of these murders will be labeled domestic or workplace violence, not terrorism.

#2  the Baja cartels have long used San Diego gang members to do their dirty work here

#3  Can we start calling this crap what it really is?

The Mexinarco cartels, take money from the Moslem terrorists to finance their operations and give said Moslem terrorists a pretty good ROI. The drug cartels are helping to finance terrorism.

We really need to get serious about these kinds of connections and start taking some action on it.

The freaking FBI has a terrible tendency to wathc crap happen for a long time longer than they should thinking they'll get some really nifty intell next time...times up Feds, arrest someone for goodness sakes!!

Difficult for the regional SAC to do anything when the Bureau ignores your reports of foreign students from the KSA being interesting only in the take off procedures in private pilot training.

Difficult for the FBI to do when other government agencies are more interested in the take from MAJ Nadal Hasan's communiques, than his arrest and detention.

Difficult for the FBI LEGAT and to coordinate when he or she is prohibited from getting an investigatory team on the ground in Benghazi.

#5  Difficult for the FBI to take action, when the trail of weapons being funneled to Mexican cartels by the BATF leads back to high level officials in the DoJ.

#6  It's apparently been difficult for the FBI to do anything more than stumble around since Hoover died.

Hey, guys, you took down the Klan -- despite their allies in Congress -- and took on the Communists -- despite their allies in Congress. WTF has happened?

(Maybe J. Edgar's secret files on pols were more about defending his agency than pressuring pols?)

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Confused Indonesian Police Arrest 17 over French Flag
[An Nahar] Police in eastern Indonesia arrested 17 local supporters of France's football team, mistaking their hoisted French flag for a bold separatist statement, police said Wednesday.

The men, illegal gold miners on Pulau Buru in the Muluku Islands chain, raised the French flag in the street ahead of a World Cup qualifier match between France and Spain last week.

But police confused the French tricolor with the similar outlawed flag of the Republic of South Maluku (RMS) separatist movement.

"The RMS flag looks exactly like the French flag, but it has an extra green stripe," Buru Island police spokesman Istanto, who goes by one name, told Agence France Presse.

"The men were kept overnight until police confirmed the flag was indeed the French flag."

He said there were many French fans in the area but did not know why.

Maybe because their flag so closely resembles the one that could get them arrested?

Chad President: Self-Proclaimed C.Africa Leader Cannot Be Recognized
[An Nahar] African heads of state decided Wednesday that it was impossible to recognize rebel chief Michel Djotodia as president of the Central African Republic (CAR), and want the country to elect a transitional president, Chad's leader said at the end of a summit called to discuss the political crisis.

"As things stand now, it is impossible to recognize a self-proclaimed president," Chadian President Idriss Deby told journalists. "A committee selected by national figures must lead the transition. This body will have the executive role and must vote for a transitional president" who would serve for no more than 18 months.

Deby added that a legislative body would also be established in Chad's southern neighbor "which will draw up a constitution and take on the role of parliament".

Starting Thursday, a mission comprised of ministers from the Economic Community Of Central African States (ECCAS), its partners and representatives from the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
and the international organization of French-speaking states will go to the Central African capital Bangui "to take the message to Central Africans", Deby said.

Chad, the region's dominant military power, hosted a meeting of the ECCAS, according to some sources as a way to give the rebel Seleka coalition regime in Central Africa a semblance of legitimacy.

A diplomatic source said the six-nation bloc sought to create a national transition council led by Djotodia to "regain a little international legitimacy".

Djotodia has promised elections by 2016, but the international community is expected to press him to accelerate the transition.

China-Japan-Koreas
Kerry due in Seoul next week
WASHINGTON, April 3-- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Seoul next week as part of his first regional trip since taking office, his department said Wednesday.

Kerry plans to visit Northeast Asia from April 12 to 15, "starting in Seoul on April 12th, in Beijing on April 13th and in Tokyo on April 14th, and then coming home on the 15th," his spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland, told reporters.

A diplomatic source said Kerry is likely to stay in Seoul for only about 24 hours due to his tight schedule. He plans to meet with President Park Geun-hye, Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se and other top officials, according to the source.

Kerry had an introductory meeting with Yun on Tuesday here, during which they reaffirmed a close alliance between the two nations against North Korea's military threats.

BP to Sell Entire U.S. Wind Power Business
[CNSNEWS] BP will sell its entire American wind power business in an effort to "position the company for sustainable growth" and return to its core business of oil and gas production.

BP is the No. 6 largest oil and gas companies in the world, according to Forbes, producing 4.1 million barrels of oil per day.

"BP has decided to market for sale our U.S. wind energy business as part of a continuing effort to become a more focused oil and gas company and re-position the company for sustainable growth into the future," BP said in an emailed statement to CNSNews.com.

BP operates 16 wind farms in nine states that together produce about 2,600 megawatts of power. It is also selling undeveloped projects that could produce an additional 2,000 megawatts.

#1  Just as interesting as why they are selling (because there is no money in it!) is the question of who would buy it (because there is no money in it!).
Posted by: SteveS || 04/04/2013 1:03 Comments || Top||

#2  I don't know "who will buy?", but I can guess "who will pay?". The greatest scam in history (since the sales of holy relics stopped) will go on.

#3  At the end of the day, BP managers are in the business of creating value and making money, not experimenting with money losing green energy schemes or pleasing environmental whackos and politicians. BP shares continue to trade at a deep discount to intrinsic value and host both a respectable rate of growth and a nice dividend.

Europe
Mafia probe nets $1.7bn in clean energy assets
They should have got Al Pacino "The Goracle" to look after their loot.
Italian police say they have confiscated mafia assets $1.7 billion - the biggest seizure of its kind in history.

The multi billion-dollar haul included the seizure of 43 wind and solar energy companies, 98 properties and 66 bank accounts belonging to Vito Nicastri, a businessman described by authorities as a frontman for the Sicilian Mafia.

Nicastri, 57, was once dubbed 'Lord of the Wind' for his holdings in wind farms which prosecutors say were funded by extortion, drug sales and other illicit activities.

Three years ago, investigators found the mafia was engaged in a massive eco-scam, claiming generous grants for investment in wind-power and environmentally- friendly businesses.

"This is a sector in which money can easily be laundered," Arturo de Felice, head of Italy's anti-mafia agency, told local media.

"Operating in a grey area helped him build up his business over the years."

The anti-mafia agency in a statement said it was the biggest seizure of mafia-linked assets.

The assets had been frozen in 2010 and Nicastri is on probation under orders not to leave his home town of Alcamo in western Sicily during the investigation.

Nicastri had "numerous and high-level contacts with mafia figures", the anti-mafia agency said, adding that this had been confirmed by messages found during the arrest of two local mafia bosses.

The businessman was also linked to Matteo Messina Denaro, a fugitive who is considered the godfather of the Sicilian mafia, the statement said.

The seizure "impacts in a significant way on the economic power of Matteo Messina Denaro, who is considered the lord of that land," it said.

Mr De Felice said the seizure "will definitely make life more difficult" for Messina Denaro.

He said revenue from the companies and properties seized would now be going to the state.

Peshawar major concern in anti-polio campaign
[Dawn] The World Health Organisation has declared Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
a major hurdle to the country's polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set...

Dr Elias Durry, head of WHO in Pakistain, told Dawn on Tuesday that Peshawar, where P1 virus was consistently in circulation, had been declared 'red high-risk' district for polio as 70,000 children remained unimmunised in the first quarter of the current year.

He said more than 2, 25,000 children of immunisable age remained unvaccinated in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa

"WHO is deeply concerned about the poor progress of polio campaigns in Peshawar, which is a major obstacle to polio eradication programme in the country. It poses a threat to other children's health," he said.

Indian sisters attacked with acid
[Al Jizz] An acid attack has left four sisters in north India with burns in a particularly brutal example of what is a growing problem in South Asia, according to police.

The youngest sister, 19, was admitted to hospital with severe injuries after two men on a cycle of violence splashed them with acid on Tuesday evening in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, about 100km from the capital.

The sisters, aged between 19 and 24, were returning home from a government school where three of them work as teachers. The fourth is a student.

"The victims were walking together when two men on a motorbike made lewd remarks and the man who was riding pillion splashed acid on all of them," said Abdul Hameed, the senior police officer investigating the case.

"The youngest sister suffered maximum burn injuries and she had to be rushed to a hospital in Delhi."

Hameed said no arrests had been made and the motive behind the crime was unclear.
