[FOX] Toronto cops nabbed the suspected driver who plowed into a group of people on a crowded city street Monday afternoon, leaving several injured and the grim sight of what appeared to be bodies covered by sheets.
Police confirmed to Fox News the arrest of the suspect, which came just minutes after news of the incident broke.
Cops initially said eight to 10 people were hit near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue just before 1:30 p.m., but they later clarified it was too early to confirm the number of injuries.
After striking the pedestrians, the van fled the scene, CBC reported.
The extent of the injuries at the scene is unknown, however, photos from the site of the collision showed pedestrians attempting to help people on the ground and multiple bodies covered by sheets.
A witness who identified himself as Nick said he was studying when he saw a truck "flash by" in the area. He said he "witnessed a few people pass away in front" of him as others screamed.

No. We do not need to ban vans. We need to ban the kind of people who use them as weapons of mass destruction and I think we all have a pretty good idea who those people are. Banish them from our country and they can rent all the vans they want and do whatever they want with them in their countries of origin.

Police have arrested a suspect after a white van mounted the curb and struck numerous pedestrians in Toronto.
The incident happened on Yonge Street south of Finch Avenue, according to the Toronto Police Service. Initial estimates suggest eight to 10 people were struck.
Witness Alex Shaker, who was driving southbound at the time, says the van was travelling at high speed on the sidewalk. The van was also southbound.
"He started going down on the sidewalk and crumbling down people one by one," Shaker told CTV News Channel on Monday afternoon.
Shaker said he saw the vehicle strike someone with a stroller.
"He just destroyed so many people’s lives," he said. "Every single thing that got in his way."
Witness Phil Zullo, who was driving northbound, says he first noticed the commotion when he saw police taking down a male suspect.
Zullo says he continued north, where he saw "shoes and hats flown everywhere."
The extent of injuries is unknown and ambulances are on the scene.
Photos posted online show multiple individuals on the ground.
The van involved in the collision was found on Poyntz Avenue off of Yonge, just south of Sheppard Avenue West. The van is marked as belonging to the rental company Ryder.
Toronto paramedics are advising people to stay out of the area of Yonge Street near Finch and Sheppard Avenue.
Subway service has been suspended between the TTC’s Sheppard and Finch stations. No replacement shuttle services will be operating.

U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Victor T. Wright entered the military in 1974 at age 17 as a way to "see the world" and get an education. Now 61, he will retire Aug. 31 after a career that included stints in both the Army and Navy, five enlistments and six deployments. His final post, as a senior aviation maintenance instructor in the Army's 128th Aviation Brigade, is at Fort Eustis, Va.
Wright has served a role in virtually every major conflict of his lifetime -- Vietnam, Gulf Wars I and II and Kosovo -- and tours in the Pacific theater, Indian Ocean, Kenya and Korea.
In fact, he may be the sole remaining active duty Vietnam veteran, according to military officials.
In June 2015, the Marine Corps Times wrote a story about Michael Jarnevic, a Green Beret considered the last person in uniform whose service record includes a tour in Vietnam. He retired the following month.
After Wright read the story, he called editors of the magazine to let them know there's at least one more.
"We're not 100 percent sure, but it's very likely he is the last one," Capt. Jeremy Stoddard said. "We've been trying to figure this out for years. It's very unlikely anyone would have been in the service that long, for 40-plus years."
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) ‐ Penn State University says it has banned its near-century-old outdoor recreation club from going outside because it is too dangerous out in the wilderness.
The 98-year-old Penn State Outing Club announced last week that the university will no longer allow the club to organize outdoor, student-led trips starting next semester. The university's offices of Student Affairs and Risk Management made the determination that the hiking, camping and other outdoors-focused activities the student-led club has long engaged in are too risky.
The Outing Club's current president Richard Waltz tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that the decision wasn't an open dialogue and they weren't briefed on the determination.
A Penn State spokeswoman says student safety is the school's primary focus. Two other outdoor recreation clubs also have been directed to end trip offerings.

Victim Jumped On Way Home From Synagogue, Told 'You Don’t Need Help. I’m Going To Kill You Right Here'
There have been two recent attacks against Orthodox Jewish men in Brooklyn.
In the latest one, the victim was approached by a stranger and choked on the street, CBS2’s Natalie Duddridge reported Sunday night.
Surveillance video shows the suspect running down the street and tackling another man. He then forces him against a fence, choking and punching him.
The victim, an Orthodox Jewish man, was left with a black eye, a broken rib and scratches on his neck and back. He didn’t want to give his name, but he said he was walking home from his synagogue on Saturday afternoon near Rutland Road and Schenectady Avenue when he said hi to a stranger who then got very angry.
"I turned around and I see that he’s right behind me and he jumped me. And then he said ’I hate Jews,'" the victim said. "I greeted him hello. Next thing I know he said ’I don’t like Jews. Who were you talking to?’ He put me in a headlock and I’m trying to maneuver out of him. In the meantime, I’m screaming ’Help! Help! Help! Help!’ He says, ’You don’t need help. I’m going to kill you right here.'"
Luckily, two people passing by minutes later pulled the suspect off and held him back, helping the victim escape.
The video shows the victim going into a neighbor’s yard to retrieve his hat and glasses. The suspect continues to stalk him as the two good Samaritans keep him back.
"Two nurses came. Medical, wearing white. Male and female," the victim said.
Since the assault police have been monitoring the neighborhood. The victim’s family said despite the increased security they’re now scared to go out on the street.
"There’s fear. There’s a lot of fear. The thing we know is that, unfortunately, there are people out there who want to kill us for one reason ‐ because we are a Jew," the victim’s wife said.
This is the second time this week a Jewish man has been targeted. An April 14, a 42-year-old man was assaulted on the 600 block of Eastern Parkway just after midnight, punched in the face repeatedly. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Unit is investigating both incidents. It has yet to determine if the attacks are connected.
The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrests of the individuals responsible.

Sources reported that a Criminal Investigation Department officer was killed along with an Egyptian national, while another person was injured.
Eyewitnesses reported to the media that the armed forces from both sides blocked the roads leading to the festivities' zone.
The reason behind the festivities, according to residents, was a land ownership dispute, while a security source from the Criminal Investigation Department said the fighting was caused by the chase the brigade conducted after one of their officers.
Footage of the festivities was circulated on social media.
Benghazi has seen an unrest over the last days with festivities breaking out at Hadaek area over the arrest of one of the al-Zawiya Martyrs Brigade's fighters.

[Libya Observer] The Libyan Coast Guard recovered Sunday the bodies of 11 illegal immigrants colonists and rescued 283 others in two separate operations off the Libyan coast.
Media office of the Libyan Coast Guard said on Facebook that the 11 bodies along with 83 migrants colonists were recovered and rescued off al-Zawiya shores, adding that they were taken to al-Zawiya refinery for aids before being sent to the illegal immigration authority in the city.
The Spokesman for the Libyan Navy, Ayoub Qassim, told Xinhua that the rescued migrants colonists were from African countries aboard a broken-down-engine boat.
The second operation saw the rescue of 200 migrants colonists including 38 women and one child, off Zlitin shores onboard two dinghies, the media office added, saying they were sent to Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... naval base then later for the illegal immigration detention center at Treeq Siqqa.

[RADIOSHABELLE] Mutinous forces from HirShabelle state presidential palace have engaged in a heavy shootout with al-Shabaab ... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... hard boyz in central Somalia on Saturday.
The fighting broke out after armed fighters belonging to Al-Shabaab ambushed the regional forces while traveling between Jowhar and Beledweyne towns.
The mutinous troops left Jowhar, the current seat of HirShabelle administration early on Saturday morning and were en route to Jalalaqsi district at the time of the attack.
A senior HirShabelle state official told Radio Shabelle that the ambush has left several soldiers and hard boyz dead, thought the number of the casualty figures have not been confirmed so far.
Al-Shabaab often carries out ambush attacks against Somalia and AMISOM troops in the southern regions.

Diyala (Iraqinews.com) ‐ A SWAT officer was maimed Sunday as a bomb kaboom targeted a police vehicle in Iraq’s Diyala province, a security source was quoted as saying.
Speaking to Alghad Press, the source said an explosive charge went off while a police vehicle was passing by al-Mokhisa gardens on the outskirts of Abu Saida district in Diyala.
"The kaboom left a SWAT officer maimed," the source said, adding that a probe was launched to identify perpetrators of the attack.
The source noted that the injured policeman was moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Attacks characterized as "at least as serious as arson" are also on pace to eclipse those from last last year. Thus far in 2018, two such attacks have been carried out; while in 2017 the final tally for them was five.
While last year saw 105 indictments filed against the far-right activists, this year has seen 23 to date.
The Shin Bet statistics show that Israeli authorities have continued in their practice of employing administrative orders in response to the violence, largely carried out by young settlers known as hilltop youth.
Administrative orders can include detention, bans from entering the entire West Bank, and bans on contacting certain individuals, as well as nightly curfews.
In 2017, 63 administrative orders were issued by Israel Police. Thus far in 2018, 13 such orders have been employed.
[DW] The German development minister, Gerd Muller, says Germany and Iraq will step up cooperation on the reintegration of Iraqi refugees. He said up to 10,000 Iraqis would be helped to return home.
German Development Minister Gerd Muller said on Sunday that Berlin and Baghdad had agreed to work together more closely on helping failed Iraqi asylum-seekers in Germany to return to their native country.
"The aim is to support up to 10,000 Iraqis from Germany in re-establishing themselves and building something new," Muller said, following talks with Iraqi officials in Baghdad.
Muller said Iraqis should have the chance to return to their home country of their own free will and not as "losers." He added that education and employment opportunities would be created in cooperation with Iraqi authorities and companies.
During his visit, Muller opened an advice center for returning refugees in the city of Irbil in the Kurdish-administered northern region of Iraq. Another is planned for Baghdad.
A meeting between Muller and Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi was canceled at short notice because of scheduling problems.
Large donor
Ahead of his departure for Iraq on Saturday, Muller stressed the need to rebuild infrastructure in the country, particularly schools and education facilities, "so that terrorism doesn't regain a foothold."
The German Development Ministry says some 12,000 of the 240,000 Iraqis currently living in Germany are failed asylum-seekers.
Germany is the second-biggest giver of aid to Iraq, having pledged around €1.3 billion ($1.6 billion) in financial assistance since 2014, the ministry says. It has also provided military aid in the form of equipment and training for Iraqi security forces and their allies.

That is the problem with wartime refuges, folks get the impression that is is only for the duration but the refugees get a taste of life in the west (especially when welfare pays for everything like in Germany) and they don't want to go back. Good luck Germany.
[DAWN] India’s cabinet on Saturday approved the death penalty for rapists of girls below the age of 12, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an emergency meeting in response to nationwide outrage in the wake of a series of cases.
The executive order, or ordinance, amends the criminal law to also include more drastic punishment for convicted rapists of girls below the age of 16, government officials said. The order will come into effect once it is signed by India’s president.
India launched fast-track courts and a tougher rape law that included the death penalty after a gruesome assault on a young woman shocked the country in 2012, but India’s rape epidemic has shown no sign of dying down. There were 40,000 rapes reported in 2016.

[Dhaka Tribune] A man has been rubbed out and at least five others sustained bullet wounds in a pie fight between two rival Awami League factions at Bhatara’s Beraid Union in Dhaka.
The incident took place in front of Crown Cement factory on the bank of Balu River under Bhatara cop shoppe around 4:30pm on Sunday, police said.
The dear departed was identified as Kamruzzaman Dukhu, 38, brother of Beraid Union Chairman Jahangir Alam, DMP Gulshan Division’s Badda Zone Assistant Commissioner Ashraful Karim told the Dhaka Tribune.
Jahangir is also the general secretary of the ruling party’s Badda thana unit.
Ashraful said the two factions that clashed belonged to Jahangir and local MP AKM Rahmatullah, two rivals who have been at loggerheads over the upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls for a while now.
He said the body of the dear departed was taken to Apollo Hospital. The injured were also admitted to the same hospital. "The situation is under control now," he added.
Jahangir claimed that Rahmatullah’s supporters had attacked and shot his brother Kamruzzaman when he went to the cement factory to supply raw materials. "When my other brothers and uncles went there, the attackers also shot at them. At least eight to 10 others have also been shot at that time," he alleged.

Eyewitnesses are saying that the blast has taken place close to a school where a center was opened to issue national identity cards.

[DAWN] Two men belonging to the Hazara ...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets... community were killed, while a third was injured in an incident of firing in Quetta's Western Bypass area on Sunday.
Police sources said unknown miscreants opened fire and killed two people identified as Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Zaman. One person was maimed as result of firing, the sources said. The injured was rushed to Bolan Medical Complex, Quetta, for treatment.
Police said the victims were members of the Hazara community and that the incident appeared to be a assassination.
The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot after the attack. Police and other law enforcement personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident was initiated.

[IsraelTimes] A member of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,’s military wing was reportedly killed Sunday in a tunnel collapse near Deir al-Balah in the central Gazoo Strip.
Reports in Paleostinian media identified the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades member as Thaer Nayef al-Zaraie.
It was not immediately clear if the tunnel was an attack tunnel crossing the border into Israel or part of the warren of defensive fortifications Hamas has built across the Strip.
Several members of the Hamas terrorist group have been killed or injured in accidental blasts and tunnel collapses in recent years. In 2017, Hamas said 22 members of its armed wing were killed in tunnel-related accidents.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Pak traders in Parachinar are demanding the reopening of the route along the Durand Line which was closed during a clash between the Afghan and Pak forces last week.
Nazir Ahmed, a representative of traders in Parachinar, has told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, that the closure has badly affected their businesses.
Ahmed further added that the laborers have sat idle for the past week watching their wares spoil as the Khar Lachi border point has remained shut since Sunday.
The provincial government media office of Khost in a statement said last week that the Pak militia forces launched attacks on security posts in Jando Sar and Bad Khawaran areas of Zazai Maidan district at around 8 am on Sunday.
The statement further added that the local residents and security personnel responded to Pak militia forces fire, claiming that some dead bodies of Pak military forces and their weapons were left in the area.
The source also added that two local residents fighting the militia forces also bit the dust during the clash.

In March, the UAE aviation authority reported about two Qatari jets coming dangerously close to two civilian aircraft from the Emirates. In January, according to the United Arab Emirates, Qatari jets had twice intercepted Emirati civilian aircraft; however, Doha refuted the allegations.
These cases prompted the United Arab Emirates to lodge an official complaint against Qatar with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) over the country’s jets intercepting Emirati civilian aircrafts.

This sparked outrage amid the FSA-affiliated faction which vowed vengeance.
Suqour al-Sham is part of Syrian Liberation Front (Jabhat Tahrir Souriya) alliance which also includes Ahrar al-Sham ...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014... and the Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement. The newly-formed group is engaged in a war against its main rival; HTS.
Ferocious battles broke out between the two warring parties across south Idlib and west Aleppo countryside , with both sides exchange control over several towns and villages, while sustain heavy losses.
In the same context, HTS security chief Abu al-Baraa was assassinated by person or persons unknown by opening fire at his vehicle near Hader town, south Aleppo countryside.

Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... forces were able to fully repel the offensive, while also killing scores of fighters from UAE-backed Southern Resistance forces.
According to the official media of the Houthi forces, their fighters repelled the massive Saudi-led Coalition offensive at the Mowaza axis, killing over 30 fighters and wounding another 50 members of the Southern Resistance.

[DAWN] FAISALABAD: A teacher of Govt Boys Primary School, Chak 34-JB, was nabbed Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try! for torturing a seven-year-old child publicly and hitting a man with a hammer who tried to save the victim.
The Sandal Bar police took the suspect, identified as Zeeshan, into custody and sent the child, Shahzeb, and the man, Shoaib Mukhtar, to hospital for their medical examination.
Mukhtar told the police that he was passing by the school when he saw Zeeshan holding the student from his leg and hanging him upside down. The teacher got infuriated when he had asked him to refrain from torturing the boy, he said and added that Zeeshan went inside the classroom and turned up with a hammer. Zeeshan first attacked Shahzeb with the hammer and then he hit me with the same tool, he said and added that hearing the hue and cry more people gathered who intervened, rescued them and pacified Zeeshan.
Mukhtar has a wound on his back and the boy has some bruises on different body parts.
The arrested teacher started weeping at the cop shoppe when the news hounds asked him why he had subjected the boy to torture.
An education department official said Zeeshan was facing psychological issues and the incident would be reported to the higher authorities for further action.
The education officer said Zeeshan had been serving at the school for the last eight months and his medical examination had been conducted prior to his induction as a teacher. He said the department had received no earlier complaints against the teacher.

This means, despite the glut being over, Riyadh is seeking continuation of the output cut arrangement between Opec and non-Opec oil giant Russia.
With inventories back to average levels and expected to fall further, limits on output would surely push the market into a deficit. The over-tightening, presumably, would lead to higher oil prices...just in time for the Aramco IPO, Nick Cunningham wrote in his piece.
Sources told Rooters that behind closed doors Saudi officials have considered $80 per barrel, or even $100 per barrel, as sort of unofficial price targets.
"We have come full circle," another high-level industry source told Rooters. "I would not be surprised if Saudi Arabia wanted oil at $100 until this IPO is out of the way."
And to this end, Saudi Arabia continues to work towards tightening of the market. Bloomberg reported that in March, the compliance rate with the output cut arrangement surged to 164 per cent, a new high, up from 148pc in February. In order to achieve that, Saudi Arabia had to cut its output further in the month. Riyadh seems determined to that end.

On February 8, Dhaka’s Fifth Special Judge’s Court convicted Khaleda and sentenced her to five years’ imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She was then sent to the old central jail at Nazimuddin Road in the city.

The Paleostinian suspect is believed to "sell weapons on a very large scale" in the West Bank, according to the police statement.
A third Arab Israeli citizen was also arrested for allegedly helping facilitate the arms sales between the Negev and the West Bank.
The arrests were part of a joint operation by the Israel Police and Shin Bet security service.
During their investigation, police did not uncover any of the army weapons, but found two makeshift Carlo-style submachine guns and some magazines.
Army bases in the Negev desert are routinely robbed, often by Bedouin Israelis who live nearby. Though the problem is well known, it has gone mostly unaddressed. Due to their locations ‐ far from cities and towns ‐ there is generally limited police presence in the area, and the military is limited in its ability to arrest would-be thieves.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] An kaboomdestroyed a voter registration center in Puli Khumri city the scenic provincial capital of Baghlan province hours after a deadly blast in Kabul left several dead or maimed.
According to the local officials in Baghlan, at least six people including women were killed and five others were maimed in the kaboom.
However another security official says at least seven people were killed and ten others were maimed after the blast targeted the registration center.
The official further added that the incident took place after an improvised bombexploded near the registration center.
The incident in Puli Khumri city took place hours after an kaboomdestroyed a center established for the national identity cards in Kabul city.
According to Kabul police officials, at least twelve people have been killed and more than fifty other were maimed in the kaboom.
No individual or group has so far grabbed credit behind the incident but the ISIS hard boyz have in the past grabbed credit for such attacks.

[All Africa] At least four persons were killed and eight others injured as two jacket wallahs attacked a mosque in Bama town of Borno State in the early hours of Sunday, officials have said.
The attack comes about three weeks after the Borno State Government sanctioned the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the badly destroyed community which was reclaimed from the Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... The Sunday attack was the first since the return of Bama IDPs. But it has rekindled public concern on the security around the community, the second largest in Borno State after Maiduguri, the state capital.
Just before the IDPs were returned to Bama, the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, was in Bama on a two days working visit.
During his stay in Bama, the military command there informed the governor that although the town has been secured, the security around it was "unpredictable."
Notwithstanding the caution, the displaced persons, eager to return to their normal lives, were allowed to return to Bama.
The chairperson of the Borno State emergency management agency (SEMA), Yabawa Kolo, said four persons died and eight others were maimed in the early Sunday morning attack. The dead included the two suicide bombers.
Earlier, sources from Bama who broke the news on social media indicated that the attackers were two young people, who sneaked into a mosque in the community during an early morning prayer.
One resident of Bama said the attack took place "at a mosque around BAMA Dina area of Shehuri /Mairi/ Hausari ward of Bama town."
"The victims evacuated to military hospital for further treatment of serious injuries," Abba Masta said.
"Serious emergency medical attention needed with possible need of transportation to secondary health facility in Maiduguri for the survivors," Mr Masta, an active community leader in Bama, said.
He said medical services and facilities are still limited in the reclaimed town.
"Currently, no any ambulance in Bama to aid the transportation of the survivors. But we are currently making follow up to military 21 brigade for possible assistance," he said.

[Ynet] Analysis: The professional killing of electrical engineer Fadi Albatsh in Kuala Lumpur is just another operation in a long list of liquidations, in and outside Gazoo, against the minds taking part in the development of the terror group’s aerial system.
The professional liquidation of electrical engineer Fadi Albatsh in Malaysia seems like an important operation aimed at thwarting a new ability Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, has been trying to develop against Israel: the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
In fact, it’s another operation in a long list of liquidations that have been carried out both within and outside Gazoo, against the minds taking part in the development of the strip’s aerial system.
Albatsh, who served as a lecturer in the field of electrical engineering and alternative energy, became a UAV expert as well recently. Although he had been living in Malaysia in recent years, he would occasionally visit Gazoo. In one of those visits, he was recruited by Hamas to help with the drone issue and to assist in the effort to improve the precision level of the rockets produced by the organization.
Albatsh’s liquidation, and the efforts Hamas has been putting into achieving aerial abilities, should be reviewed in light of the technological and operational solutions the IDF has found for the terror organization’s threats, both in the interception of rockets and in the detection and destruction of attack tunnels.
Because of the IDF’s response to these threats, Hamas was forced to search for new offensive abilities, turning to the field of UAVs.
The Iron Dome system managed to intercept 89 percent of Hamas’s effective fire during Operation Protective Edge. In light of the improvements introduced into the anti-rocket defense system since then, moreover, it will likely be even more successful in the next conflict.
So far, Hamas has failed to come up with a solution to the Iron Dome. As a result, four years after Protective Edge, there has been no dramatic shift in severity of the rocket threat from Gazoo.
A day after Protective Edge, Hamas resumed its tunnel digging, but the IDF didn’t rest on its laurels either. Since then, it has come up with two solutions to the threat: the first is the underground barrier‐which is being built around the strip as we speak and will be ready by the end of 2019‐and the second is the lab created in the Gazoo Division, in cooperation with Israel’s finest minds, which is successfully detecting all of the tunnels one after the other.
Five Hamas tunnels have been destroyed in the past few months alone, with new measures that have made the tunnels completely unusable. As a result, Hamas has realized that all tunnels are going to be exposed and has decided to stop digging new ones.
Seeing its flagship project being gradually destroyed, and in a bid to maintain a military option against Israel, Hamas decided to focus its efforts on the UAV area. Like in other areas, Hamas is learning from Hezbollah and from Iran. Only two weeks ago, according to foreign reports, the Israel Air Force destroyed a large shipment of Iranian drones in the T-4 airbase in Syria.
But despite its best efforts, Hamas has so far been unsuccessful in obtaining advanced aerial abilities. Saturday’s liquidation, as well as the

"These raids prove Iraq’s commitment to destroy the remnants of IS that continue to threaten citizens," Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s office said on Thursday, adding that the operation was planned and executed by JOC, with support from the coalition.

Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", security forces on Saturday evening attacked members and leaders of the rival Fatah faction who came to offer condolences over the death of Mohammed Ayoub, 14, in festivities Friday between Paleostinian demonstrators and IDF soldiers along the border between the Gazoo Strip and Israel.
The attack came after a verbal altercation erupted between Hamas and Fatah members at the tent in Gazoo City, set up by the Ayoub family to receive condolence calls over the death of their son.

The state’s official gazette said that al-Sissi ratified the law following parliamentary approval on April 17.
A committee of seven judges nominated by the justice minister and assigned by the president will carry out procedures related to assets of terror groups.
The new committee will succeed a government committee that was assigned to allocate assets of the Moslem Brüderbund, which was designated as a terrorist entity by the Egyptian judiciary in September 2013.

It’s not surprising that the Mossad was immediately declared the prime suspect in the liquidation of Fadi al-Batsh, the mysterious Paleostinian electrical engineer originally from Gazoo who only after his liquidation in Malaysia on Saturday morning was revealed to be a member of Hamas’s military wing.
Most of the Paleostinian factions have already rushed to pronounce the Israeli spy agency the culprit. It’s hard to tell if they have anything to go on except the obvious question: Who has an interest in removing Batsh?
The operation to take down Batsh shares many similarities with the last liquidation attributed to the Mossad: that of the Tunisian scientist Muhammad a-Zawari, rubbed out by person or persons unknown on December 15, 2016, in Sfax, Tunisia.
In Zawari’s case, too, it was only after his death that Hamas publicized the fact that he was working for its military wing and was part of its efforts to develop advanced drones and an unmanned submarine.
Unlike Zawari, Batsh was born in the Gazoo Strip and grew up in Jabaliya. He was considered a genius in his electrical engineering studies and had close ties with several Hamas leaders in Gazoo.
He had lived with his family in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur for the past eight years, and even served as a holy man in one of the city’s mosques. In fact, it was during his early morning walk to dawn prayers that unidentified assassins riding a BMW cycle of violence fired 10 bullets at him, abruptly ejecting him from the gene pool.
It is not immediately clear what sorts of projects Batsh was involved in as a member of Hamas’s military wing. It is highly unlikely that he was working to develop clean energy sources for the organization, for example, and much more probable that his work involved research and development of new weapons systems.
Batsh’s decision to move to Malaysia may seem surprising, but not a few Paleostinians, especially students, have relocated to the country in recent years, sparking intensive efforts by Hamas on Malaysian campuses to recruit them to its cause.
According to a 2015 article in Malam, an Israeli journal that deals with intelligence and terrorism, Hamas once used Malaysia as the setting to train operatives for an especially audacious terror attack involving parachutists.
In the same period, the Israeli daily Haaretz reported that Hamas had recruited some 40 Paleostinian students to work as its operatives on Malaysian campuses. Batsh himself worked as a lecturer at a private university in the country.
Throughout Kuala Lumpur and elsewhere (including the International Islamic University in Gombak), there are activities by Hamas activists and visits from Hamas leaders. Even the son of Osama Hamdan, who is responsible for Hamas’s foreign relations, lives in Malaysia.
The liquidation on Saturday, as well as others that came before, offer glimpses into what appears to be a covert war taking place behind the scenes between Hamas and the State of Israel that may have dramatic consequences for the Gazoo Strip. Hamas is constantly trying to develop and acquire ever more efficient and deadly weapons, including of the sort that might tilt the balance of deterrence in its favor.
It appears someone ‐ possibly Israel, possible someone else ‐ is determined to stop it by any means necessary.
[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Pro-regime Paleostinian paramilitary group mourned three officers said they had been killed by former al-Qaeda group as the regime stepped up efforts to wipe out the insurgency's last foothold south of the capital.
The Militia of Fateh al-Intifada has engaged in fierce festivities with Tahrir al-Sham and ISIS in the Paleostinian refugee camp of Yarmouk and al-Hajar al-Aswad district.
Tahrir al-Sham said it had killed more than 20 Paleostinian fighters loyal to Bashir al-Assad since the festivities erupted four days ago.

Speaking to the Ottoman Turkish NTV news channel on Saturday, Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey... claimed that the US and its allies are refusing to sell weapons to Ankara while choosing to provide them to Kurdish forces and most notably, for free.
"We cannot buy weapons from the US with our money, but unfortunately, the US and coalition forces give these weapons, this ammunition, to terrorist organizations for free," he said. He reiterated that the threat predominantly originates from what he called "strategic partners."
Erdogan went on to say that Washington goes continues to arm holy warriors in Syria, sending in convoys full of weapons there. For instance, according to him, the US sent 5,000 trucks loaded with weapons to northern parts of the embattled country.
The US looks upon the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) as an ally in Syria, and to be more precise, a constituent part of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The SDF has allegedly been trained, equipped and monitored by the Americans.
Last December, US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... approved providing $393 million worth of weapons to what Washington calls partners in Syria ‐ the YPG being one of them. Shortly thereafter, the US announced its intention to set up an all-Kurdish battalion comprising about 30,000 people, which was supposed to be deployed along the Ottoman Turkish border.
The move was met with the utmost fury by the Ottoman Turkish side, and on January 20, Ankara launched a military operation codenamed Olive Branch, tasked with ousting SDF troops from areas in northern Syria near the Ottoman Turkish border. Ankara recognizes the group to be affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is considered a terror organization by the US, the EU and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....

Indeed Charles. The YPG is a far more lethal and different Kurdish foe than the PKK or the Peshmerga.

"The exchange of the two Greek soldiers that are placed in durance vile You have the right to remain silent... with the eight Ottoman Turkish soldiers that are in Greece is out of the question", said Pavlopoulos.
The two Greek soldiers were charged with espionage in Turkey after crossing over the border on March 2. They claim to have lost their way in the fog.
The eight Ottoman Turkish soldiers fled their homecountry to Greece after the failed 2016 coup.
Greece's Supreme Court has ruled that the men will not be extradited, despite Ottoman Turkish demands for them to face charges at home. The men deny involvement in the coup attempt.
"They (Greece) ask us to give back the Greek soldiers and we told them 'if you make such a demand, you should first give us FETO soldiers involved in a coup against our state'," Erdogan told the private NTV television in an interview on Saturday.
"If they are handed to us, we will consider" the situation on Greek soldiers, Erdogan said.
FETO is the name Ankara uses for the movement led by Moslem preacher Fethullah Gülen ... a Turkish preacher living in Pennsylvania whom the current govt of Turkey considers responsible for all the ills afflicting Turkey and possibly the entire world... , who Turkey blames for criminal masterminding the coup attempt. Gulen, based in the US state of Pennyslvania, denies the accusations.
"When I spoke about a hostage situation of the Greek soldiers I was mocked. Sadly, I am confirmed by this proposal of exchange", the Greek Defense Minister, Panos Kammenos said on Saturday, commenting on Erdogan's interview.
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras earlier this month demanded the release of the two soldiers, arguing that they should not be "pawns to blackmail."

Mylan‐whose CEO, Heather Bresch, is Manchin's daughter‐announced Friday that it will lay off 15 percent of the workforce at its manufacturing plant in Morgantown, W.Va. The plant, one of about 50 that Mylan has around the world, employs upwards of 3,000 West Virginians and is one of the state's largest employers.
The majority of the layoffs will occur in the plant's operations division, which consists largely of hourly-waged workers. Mylan has confirmed that some of the employees will have recall rights, meaning they can potentially return to work after a specified amount of time if the company chooses to expand, while others will be offered buyout packages.
In a statement provided to the Washington Free Beacon, Mylan blamed the changing pharmaceutical industry and evolving "regulatory expectations" for forcing the company to downsize its Morgantown plant.
