Trump's solution for North Korea's nuclear threat
What could possibly go wrong?
Donald Trump has a solution for North Korea's nuclear threat -- he said he'd have China make the country's leader "disappear."

"I would get China to make that guy disappear in one form or another very quickly," The Donald, fresh off a victory in the New Hampshire primary, said of Kim Jong Un on "CBS This Morning."

He didn't specify if "disappear" meant assassinated but added, "Well, I've heard of worse things, frankly."

"I mean, this guy's a bad dude, and don't underestimate him," Trump said about the strongman without referring to him by name. "Any young guy who can take over from his father with all those generals and everybody else that probably want the position -- this is not somebody to be underestimated."

Trump said China has control over North Korea and the US has control over China -- so "China should do that."

"China has control -- absolute control -- over North Korea. They don't say it, but they do," he said. "And they should make that problem disappear. China is sucking us dry. They're taking our money. They're taking our jobs. They're doing so much. We have rebuilt China with what they've taken out."

#2  Again, IMO Beijing = China is highly likely to annex NOKOR iff the latter regime + State collapses for any reason, MORESO IFF CHINA FAILS TO FORMALLY REGAIN SOVEREIGN CONTROL OF TAIWAN BUT STILL REFUSES TO GIVE UP OR AMEND ITS "POST-US", "MAHANIST", MILPOL OR GEOPOL AMBITIONS = MANIFEST DESTINY TO BE THE "SOLE" LEADER IN OWG EAST ASIA-PACIFIC/WESTPAC.

The USDOD's "Return to Asia/East Asia", e.g. THAAD deployments to SOKOR DMZ + JAPAN, USN back at Subic Bay, PH + LCS' in Singapore, Etc. = CHINA WILL HOLD ON TO NOKOR THAT MUCH HARDER OR LONGER.
The above being said, iff KJU + Regime believe that Chinese takeover of NOKOR can no longer be deterred or put off, I soncerely believe that to save his Country KJU willl find a way to unilaterally or "asymmetrically" start a DE FACTO MAJOR US-CHINA WAR, ostensib to begin as an initial Chinese milaction agz US Regional Allies.

AS WAS SAID PER IRAQ, THERE ARE NO GOOD, IDEAL, OR PERFECT SOLUTION(S) FOR THE US-ALLIES, ONLY ONES THAT ARE MINIMALLY OR THE LEAST BAD FOR US-ALLIED INTERESTS.

Supreme Court's Blow to Emissions Efforts May Imperil Paris Climate Accord
The Supreme Court's surprise decision Tuesday to halt President Obama's climate change regulation could weaken or even imperil the international global warming accord reached with great ceremony in Paris less than two months ago, climate diplomats said.

The Paris Agreement, the first accord to commit every country to combating climate change, had as a cornerstone Mr. Obama's assurance that the United States would carry out strong, legally sound policies to significantly cut carbon emissions. Over history, the United States is the largest greenhouse gas polluter, although its annual emissions have been overtaken by China's.

But in the capitals of India and China, two of the world's largest polluters, climate change policy experts said the Supreme Court decision threw the American commitment into question, and possibly New Delhi's and Beijing's, too.

"If the U.S. Supreme Court actually declares the coal power plant rules stillborn, the chances of nurturing trust between countries would all but vanish," said Navroz K. Dubash, a senior fellow at the Center for Policy Research in New Delhi. "This could be the proverbial string which causes Paris to unravel. The Paris agreement was a fragile and hard-fought consensus."

The court's verdict does not block the climate change rule permanently but halts its enactment until legal challenges against it have been decided, a process that could take a year or more. Legal experts said the justices' unprecedented decision to stop work on the rule before any court had decided against it appears to signal that the regulation could ultimately be overturned.

"If the American clean energy plan is overturned, we'll need to reassess whether the United States can meet its commitments," said Zou Ji, the deputy director of the National Center for Climate Strategy and International Cooperation, a government policy think tank in Beijing.

"It had seemed that with the American commitments, it was possible to get on the right emissions path globally," said Mr. Zou, who was an adviser to the Chinese delegation at the Paris negotiations, by telephone. "But without those commitments, that could be a blow to confidence in low-carbon development. In China domestically there is also resistance to low-carbon policies, and they would be able to say, 'Look, the United States doesn't keep its word. Why make so many demands on us?'"

Inaction by the United States has long been the chief obstacle to meaningful global climate change agreements. India and China in particular resisted action absent a climate change policy in the United States.

Mr. Obama sought to change that by putting in place a set of aggressive but politically controversial Environmental Protection Agency rules to cut planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants. On the basis of those rules, Mr. Obama won agreements from China and India to enact their own pollution reduction plans, and helped push other countries into signing on to the Paris measure. Visiting Beijing in 2014, Mr. Obama made a joint announcement that both countries would enact concrete domestic policies to cut emissions.

Over the past year, Mr. Obama worked closely with the Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, to bring India to the table for the Paris deal. Mr. Modi and many within India were resistant; the prime minister's top priority is to make cheap electricity available to the 300 million Indians who live without power. If the United States reneges on its commitments, "it really would strengthen the hand of those who say Paris was ineffective and a bad deal for India," Mr. Dubash said.

American policy experts agreed that the Supreme Court decision might be the first of many fractures in the deal. "The honeymoon for Paris is now definitely over," said John Sterman, a professor of management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who attended the Paris talks.

"This pushback is not something that's unique to the United States," he added. "It's happening all over the developed world."

In the European Union, Poland and some other coal-reliant countries have resisted signing on to the bloc's commitment under the agreement to more stringently reducing emissions across member states.

While the Paris deal was completed in December, it has not yet been signed. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has invited world leaders to a signing ceremony in New York on April 22, Earth Day. Those who do not attend the gathering will have several months to add their signatures to the formal document.

Already, some people deeply familiar with the climate negotiations worry that the events in the United States could lead to a repeat of what happened after the signing of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, the first major climate change treaty. Vice President Al Gore, a staunch environmentalist, negotiated the treaty with other world leaders. But in Washington, the Senate voted against ratifying it. Then George W. Bush pulled the United States out entirely.

The Supreme Court's decision -- particularly if it ultimately strikes down the rule -- will put United States climate policy, and its participation in the Paris agreement, largely in the hands of the next president. While the Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have pledged to continue and strengthen Mr. Obama's climate change agenda, the Republican contenders, including Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, have questioned or denied the science of human-caused climate change and have sharply criticized the Paris Agreement.

"Who can we negotiate with if the White House can't be sure if it can keep its promises?" Mr. Zou asked. "Not the Congress. Not the court. The division of powers creates a very complicated situation."

#1  TS. That's why you go through the Treaty process. You don't go through the Treaty process because you know it won't pass. If you want a Treaty then you have to negotiate with the people who will finally approve it, which will be something far less than what you wanted for your ego/virtue flashing event. DOA.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Senior Iranian military official: US is subordinate to Iran in Middle East
Naqdi claimed that Iran under the Shah's rule was subordinate to the American administration, while today the United States subordinates to Iran's dominance in the Middle East.

The commander of the Basij paramilitary force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Reza Naqdi, vowed that Tehran "will not make any compromises with our enemies in the Middle East."

Speaking in a press conference in honor of the anniversary of the 1979 Iranian revolution, Naqdi emphasized that "the hundreds of Revolutionary Guards generals fighting in Syria will never repeat the mistake of the Shi'ite Caliph Hassan bin Ali who surrendered leadership of the Muslim world to Muawiyyah bin Abi Sufyan."

Naqdi added that "it is impossible to compare Iran to Iran under the Shah's rule, since back then, Iran was subordinate to the American administration, while today, the United States subordinates to Iran's dominance in the Middle East and it cannot act in the region without getting the approval of the Supreme Leader of Iran."

In addition, Naqdi argued that while senior "American officials visit the Middle East secretly, images of Qassem Soleimani, the commander of Iran's Quds Force, spread across the streets in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria."

Naqdi also attacked the nuclear deal with the great powers, blaming Iranian President Hassan Rouhani for concealing secret paragraphs of the agreement and making big concessions to the US in exchange for an agreement.

The Basij commander and other heads of Iranian security forces strongly oppose Iran's nuclear deal since it reduces their dominance in the state apparatus and opens Iran to Western influence.

Iran Publishes Pictures of Captured U.S. Sailors Crying
Doesn't bug me that he's crying. But Iran's intentions are clear, and 0bean should react accordingly. But he won't.
Iran has released new photographs in which at least one of the recently captured U.S. sailors is crying, according to a series of the pictures posted on social media.

The pictures, as well as an accompanying video, were released by Iranian state-controlled news outlets and disseminated on Twitter by Iranian reporters early Wednesday.

The new photographs come on the heels of another set of pictures that showed Iranian military forces detaining the U.S. sailors at gun point and forcing them to place their hands upon their heads while kneeling on a ship.

Iran captured the 10 U.S. sailors earlier this year after they drifted into Iranian territorial waters.

The U.S. military disclosed after the incident that the sailors were held at gunpoint and that Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps removed SIM cards and other technology from them.

The Obama administration, including Secretary of State John Kerry, has praised and thanked Iran for the way it treated the captured sailors, who were released by Iranian authorities the following morning.

Florida man charged with throwing alligator into Wendy's
Authorities in Florida have arrested a man accused of throwing a live alligator through a restaurant's drive-through window.

Investigators identified Joshua James, of Jupiter, Fla., as the man who tossed the 3½-foot reptile into a Wendy's last fall, according to a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission incident report

Ed and Linda James told the station that their son was pranking a Wendy's employee whom he knew.

"It was just a stupid prank that he did that's now turning into this; it's stupid," his mother told WPTV. "He's a prankster. He does stuff like this because he thinks it's funny."

Then your son the idiot will think federal charges are hysterical.

Check the picture in the article. Loser.

Man wounded in Gush Etzion stabbing; two wannabe stabberettes arrested
[Ynet] 28-year-old man suffers moderate wounds at entrance to Neve Daniel in Gush Etzion; police searching for suspect.

Tomer Ditur, 28, was stabbed in the head and shoulder and moderately maimed on Tuesday afternoon at the entrance to Neve Daniel in Gush Etzion, in what bore all the signs of yet another terror attack targeting local civilians.

The victim said he was running by himself near Neve Daniel when he was stabbed and that he continued onwards until the settlement's security guard noticed him and called for urgent help. The victim pointed towards the direction in which believed the terrorist fled, which was in the direction of the Paleostinian town of Nahalin.

16-year-old Paleostinian girl from East Jerusalem attempted to stab Border Policemen Tuesday morning at Jerusalem's Damascus gate, and was arrested. No injuries were reported.

Border Policemen saw a young girl who aroused their suspicion. They approached her and asked for her ID. While checking her ID, when she was asked to show them her bag, she tried to stab them. They reacted quickly, pushed her back and overpowered her. She was taken in for questioning.

Earlier Tuesday morning, a 13-year-old female Paleostinian armed with a knife came to the entrance of the Karmei Tzur settlement in Gush Etzion. The security guard there arrested her after having received a warning from a resident of the settlement, who noticed the Paleostinian approaching the gate in a suspicious manner.

When the guard requested her ID, she threw her knife down and was quickly arrested.

Europe
14 Poles Arrested in Sweden for Planning Asylum Center Attack
[AnNahar] Swedish police said Tuesday they had jugged
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
14 Polish far-right activists for allegedly planning to attack an asylum center, after finding axes, knives and iron pipes in their cars.

Authorities said they detained the men on Monday after being tipped off about a planned attack against a migrant center in Nynashamn, some 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Stockholm.

"They are Polish citizens and they belong to the far-right sphere," police front man Lars Alvarsjo told state broadcaster Swedish Radio.

"We believe that the migrant center was the target of the attack," another police front man, Hesam Akbari, told AFP.

Aftonbladet daily reported that some of the suspects were living and working in Sweden.

Last month, dozens of masked men believed to belong to hooligan or neo-Nazi gangs gathered in central Stockholm and distributed leaflets calling for attacks on young migrants.

Three of the 14 men arrested on Monday evening were involved in last month's incident, said Alvarsjo.

Sweden, a country of 9.8 million, took in about 163,000 asylum seekers in 2015, putting it among the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
states with the highest proportion of refugees per capita.

More than one million people traveled to Europe last year -- the majority of them refugees fleeing conflict in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan -- triggering the continent's worst migration crisis since World War II.

With the influx showing little sign of abating, many countries, including Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, La Belle France, have tightened their asylum rules in a bid to discourage new arrivals.

In Sweden, the tougher rules come against the backdrop of rising concern over conditions in the country's overcrowded asylum facilities.

Swedish officials have called for stepped-up security after an employee at a center for unaccompanied child refugees was fatally stabbed in January.

Sweden expects to receive up to 140,000 additional asylum seekers this year.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Poll: Support for third intifada waning among Palestinians
[IsraelTimes] Survey shows 42% back armed uprising, down from over 60% in December; majority would support Abbas over Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, candidate

A new poll of Paleostinians in the West Bank and Gazoo Strip has found that less than half support a third intifada, or armed uprising, down from almost two-thirds who supported such a development last December.

According to the Awrad research institute, the survey of 1,200 Paleostinians shows that just 42 percent are in favor of a new uprising. In the West Bank, 57% are opposed, and in Gazoo, 48% are against it.

Moreover, half believe that an uprising would impede Paleostinian statehood (50% overall: 51% in the West Bank, and 49% in the Gazoo Strip), and a majority (64%) believe the situation overall is "headed in the wrong direction" (79% in Gazoo, 55% in the West Bank).

By contrast, a Paleostinian poll released in mid-December showed that two-thirds of Paleostinians supported the wave of stabbings against Israelis, with the same percentage backing a larger armed uprising.

Some 30 people have been killed in a wave of near-daily stabbing, shooting, and car-ramming attacks by Paleostinians since October. More than 160 Paleostinians have also been killed, most of them in the act of attacking Israelis and others in festivities and demonstrations.

The poll respondents also overwhelmingly opposed the dissolution of the Paleostinian Authority and the return of control over the West Bank to Israel (78%).

A majority were in favor of immediate Paleostinian elections (79%), which have not been held for over 10 years. If PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas

He could address people via skype.

He could blog speeches.

and, the best part is that Israel protects him from assassination by Hamas or ISIS by keeping him safe in prison.

Hamas fighter killed in week's 2nd deadly tunnel collapse
It is because Allah wills it. He must really be displeased with Hamas these days.
[MaanNews] A Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, fighter was killed Tuesday when a tunnel collapsed in the southern Gazoo Strip, Hamas' military wing, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, said in a statement.

The military wing identified the fighter as 27-year-old Marwan Barham Marouf from Khan Younis in southern Gazoo.

During the past two weeks, the group has reported at least ten other deaths in three separate tunnel collapses.
More sea water!
Gazoo's tunnel networks, which are largely used for smuggling in the coastal enclave's south and military purposes in the north, are notoriously dangerous. The Institute for Paleostine Studies reported in 2012 that Hamas authorities had counted 160 deaths inside the tunnels since the Israeli blockade began in 2007, and in August 2014, al-Jazeera reported that figure to be as high as 400.

While the tunnels are used by Hamas as a source of tax revenue and inflow of weapons, they also supply highly-demanded necessities for Gazoo's 1.8 million residents under the blockade, including food, medicine, as well as infrastructure materials like concrete and fuel.

Hamas claims to have rebuilt many of the tunnels that were destroyed during 2014's devastating war with Israel. Last week, the Israeli authorities threatened to seal crossings between Israel and the Gazoo Strip due to recent Hamas activity.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Nine Dead in IS Damascus Car Bombing
[AnNahar] A suicide boom-mobileing killed nine people Tuesday at a police officer's club in the Syrian capital, a monitor said, in an attack claimed by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least 20 people were also maimed in the Damascus blast, adding that coppers were among the dead and injured.

The monitor said the jacket wallah had been wearing a police uniform, a tactic used in the past by IS.

The jihadist group grabbed credit for the attack in a statement circulated on social media.

It said one its members had detonated a boom-mobile at a club for "criminal" coppers, and claimed that the attack had killed nearly 20 people and maimed 40.

Syrian state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
initially reported the blast had hit a vegetable market in the Masaken Barzeh district in northern Damascus.

But it subsequently cited a source in the interior ministry saying a car had tried to ram into the police officer's club in the area, but was stopped by guards.

"A suicide bomber then detonated his explosives, causing deaths and injuries," the state broadcaster reported.

Syrian state news agency SANA said three people were killed and 14 maimed in the attack.

Car bombs have been used regularly in Syria's war, often to devastating effect.

While the capital has been largely spared, a multiple kaboom near the Sayyida Zeinab shrine outside the city killed at least 71 people last month.

New Hampshire primary: Trump, Sanders win
(CNN) Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders cruised to early victories in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich is projected to finish second in the GOP race.

Multiple Republicans, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, are now battling for a third-place finish.

Trump, a brash billionaire reality TV star who has never run for office, and Sanders, a self-declared democratic socialist, were seen as long-shot outsiders when they launched their campaigns. Their victories reflect deep bipartisan discontent at professional politicians and suggest that both the Democratic and Republican races will now be long struggles that could stretch well into the spring.

Kabul Police Arrest 318 Suspects For Various Crimes
Kabul Police Headquarters officials said on Tuesday that at least 318 people have been arrested in Kabul on charges of various crimes over the past three weeks.

Kabul Police Chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi said at a conference that their files have been sent to court for further investigation.

He said that 25 of the 318 individuals have been arrested on murder charges and that they have confessed to their crimes.

"Primary files of some of the suspects were prepared and were sent to the judiciary [for further investigation] and we will send the remaining files as well," he said.

"We have also arrested car thieves and we have returned stolen cars to their owners," he added.

Meanwhile, a number of residents welcomed the move by the Kabul police and said there should be more focus on reducing crime in the country.

Mohammad Shafiq, a Kabul resident recalled the day when his car was stolen and said: "I was beaten. My car was taken away by robbers. Then I informed police."

Police officials present at the event said they will leave no stone unturned to ensure the safety of citizens and reduce crime in the city.

Erdogan threatened to 'open doors to Greece and Bulgaria' and flood EU with migrants -- report
[RT] Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
threatened to "put refugees on buses" and flood Europe with migrants if EU leaders did not offer him enough cash to help curb the influx of asylum seekers, a leaked record of a high-level meeting claims.

"We can open the doors to Greece and Bulgaria anytime and we can put the refugees on buses," Erdogan was quoted as telling European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk after being told that the EU was offering The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
€3 billion over two years.

The minutes of the meeting that apparently took place in November in Antalya have been published by the Greek financial news website euro2day.gr

After Tusk mentioned the difficult situation in the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, Erdogan, who reportedly demanded €6 billion over two years, said: "So how will you deal with refugees if you don't get a deal? Kill the refugees?"

Prosecutor Who Sent Innocent Man to Death Row Is Disbarred
[ABCNEWS.GO] A former prosecutor who used false testimony and withheld evidence to send a now-exonerated man to Texas' death row has lost an appeal to overturn his disbarment.
I was a believer in the U.S. judcial system until I saw someone railroaded into federal prison. "Jury of his peers" isn't the norm -- 97 percent of federal jury trials result in conviction. "Speedy trial" is a laughable concept.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the Board of Disciplinary Appeals on Monday upheld the decision of the State Bar of Texas to disbar Charles Sebesta. The board's decision is final.

The bar revoked the Burleson County district attorney's law license in June, finding he had engaged in prosecutorial misconduct in the case of Anthony Graves.

Graves was sentenced to death in 1994 in the slayings of six people in South Texas two years earlier. A federal appeals court reversed his conviction in 2006. Graves spent 18 years in prison, including 12 on death row. He filed a complaint in January 2014.

Supreme Court blocks Obama carbon emissions plan
"Well, that's it, then. Executive Actions!"
The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday delivered a major blow to President Barack Obama by blocking federal regulations to curb carbon dioxide emissions from power plants, the centerpiece of his administration's strategy to combat climate change.

On a 5-4 vote, the court granted a request made by 27 states and various companies and business groups to block the administration's Clean Power Plan. The move means the regulations will not be in effect while litigation continues over whether their legality.

The brief order from the justices said that the regulations would be on hold until the legal challenge is completed. The court's five conservatives all voted to block the rule. The order noted that the four liberals would have denied the application.

#1  Amendments I would add:

Term limits:
2 terms per house, extend the house of reps to 4 year terms.

Sunset provisions:
All laws expire in 5 years. Even the "entitlements". Can be pushed to 10 years with a 2/3 majority of both houses.

Supreme Court:
The supreme court will be made up of 50 justices, 1 appointed for each state for a term of 1 year. Vice president holds the tie breaker vote like he does in the Senate.

Hopefully that will fix things enough to turn our country around.

China-Japan-Koreas
North Korea restarts plutonium reactor
North Korea has expanded a uranium enrichment facility and restarted a plutonium reactor that could start recovering spent fuel in weeks or months, the U.S. intelligence chief said Tuesday in delivering the annual assessment by intelligence agencies of the top dangers facing the country.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said that Pyongyang announced in 2013 its intention to refurbish and restart nuclear facilities, to include the uranium enrichment facility at Yongbyon and its graphite-moderated plutonium production reactor, which was shut down in 2007.

"We assess that North Korea has followed through on its announcement by expanding its Yongbyon enrichment facility and restarting the plutonium production reactor," Clapper said in an opening statement to the Senate Armed Services Committee. "We further assess that North Korea has been operating the reactor long enough so that it could begin to recover plutonium from the reactor's spent fuel within a matter of weeks to months."
And remember, China is wringing its hands and saying that it can't do anything to stop its client-state...

Arabia
Saudi Patriot intercepts Houthi ballistic missile
A Patriot missile shot down a Scud fired from the Yemeni capital towards southern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, the Saudi-led coalition told AFP, the day after another Scud attack.

In the latest incident, debris from the destroyed Scud fell in the kingdom's Jizan border province, causing no injuries, Coalition spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed al-Assiri said.

He said militias launched it from inside the Yemeni capital Sanaa, located around 200 km from Jizan - which they seized in late 2014.

The Saudis have deployed Patriots designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, which have been fired occasionally since March when the Saudi-led coalition began air strikes in support of the Yemeni government after Iran-backed Houthi militias seized much of the neighboring country.

In April last year the Saudi defense ministry said coalition strikes had removed threats to Saudi Arabia’s security "by destroying heavy weaponry and ballistic missiles" seized by the Yemeni militias.

With coalition-backed anti-Houthi forces now 30 to 40 km from Sanaa, the militias are retaliating, Assiri said.

On Monday the coalition said air defenses intercepted a Scud fired at Khamis Mushait, a city near the King Khalid Air Base which is at the forefront of Saudi-led air operations against the Houthi militias and their allies, elite troops loyal to former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Iraq
ISIS executes 1 in Mosul
[ARA News] ERBIL – Extremists of the Islamic State (ISIS) executed on Tuesday an Iraqi journalist in Mosul city of the northwestern Nineveh province.

Wathiq Abdulwahab, reporter of the local Hadbaa newspaper, was publicly executed by firing squad at the hands of ISIS militants.

“The journalist was arrested earlier on Monday by the ISIS-led Islamic Police in Sukkar neighborhood of Mosul after taking pictures for an ISIS detention center,” a local media activist told ARA News, speaking on condition of anonymity.

One day after his arrest, the Sharia Court of Mosul ordered the militants to execute the 32-year-old journalist in public for violating the strict security measures imposed by ISIS.

“Abdulwahab was shot dead in front of dozens of people in the Zuhur square in eastern Mosul,” the source said.

Over the past two years, dozens of media activists and journalists have been exposed to arrest, torture and execution at the hands of ISIS militants across Syria and Iraq.

White subway rider assaulted by black man in Brooklyn station: 'Cracka, you don't belong here'
[NYDAILYNEWS] A 44-year-old white straphanger was beaten in a Brooklyn subway station by a black man who told him, "Cracka, you don't belong here," police sources told the Daily News.
Obviously Smith & Wesson were unavailable to assist.
The suspect also allegedly elbowed the victim's fiancé in the head, then spit in another straphangers' face.

"Someone get his white cracka ass off the floor,'' the suspect said, according to police sources. "It's a black neighborhood ... You don't belong here."

The incident, which happened about 9:45 p.m. Saturday at the Church Ave. Q stop, is being investigated by the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force. No arrest has been made.

The victim was getting off the train when the suspect, believed to be about 40 years old, approached from behind and allegedly punched him in the face. He knocked him to the ground and called him a "cracka," a derogatory term for white people, police sources said.

When the victim's fiancé tried to intervene the suspect allegedly elbowed her, walked away and confronted another subway rider, who told cops about the incident. The victim's nose was bloodied and his right eye was bruised but he did not require medical treatment, police sources said.

Southeast Asia
Vietnam Gets Fifth Kilo Submarine from Russia
Last week, the fifth of six Kilo-class submarines that Vietnam bought from Russia arrived in the Southeast Asian state, local media outlets reported.

According to Thanh Nien News, the HQ-186, delivered by Dutch-registered cargo ship Rolldock Star, arrived at Cam Ranh Bay in Khanh Hoa province last Tuesday evening. The submarine laid at anchor near Cam Ranh Port and was scheduled to arrive at the port thereafter.

The HQ-186 underwent a trial run in the Baltic Sea on June 8 and was expected to arrive in early 2016. The fourth submarine, codenamed HQ-185 Da Nang, arrived at Cam Ranh Port back in July.

The submarines are part of a deal Vietnam reached with Russia’s Admiralty Shipyards for six Project 636 Kilo-class diesel-electric submarines for $2 billion back in 2009. Under the agreement, signed during Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to Moscow that year, Russia agreed to provide the submarines, train Vietnamese crews, and supply necessary spare parts.

The latest delivery comes amidst simmering disputes in the South China Sea, where both Vietnam and China are claimants alongside the Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Last year, Vietnamese officials said that the first Kilo-class submarine had begun patrolling the South China Sea.

The sixth and final submarine, named HQ-187 Ba Ria-Vung Tau, is expected to arrive in Vietnam in mid-2016. Russia officially launched HQ 187 in September last year in a ceremony attended by the commander of the Russian navy Admiral Viktor Chirkov and his Vietnamese counterpart Rear Admiral Pham Hoai Nam. The two had also reportedly discussed strengthening security cooperation in the Asia-Pacific.

The Kilo-class submarines are considered to be one of the quietest diesel submarines in the world, and are designed for anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface-ship warfare.

Somalia invites moderate Islamists to ‘negotiating table
MOGADISHU, Somalia -- Somali Federal government has urged paramilitary group of AhluSunna Wal Jamea to embrace peaceful resolutions to disputes with Adado administration, Garowe Online reports.

Speaking in Mudug regional district of Hobyo, Interior Minister Abdirahman Mohamed Hussein (Odawa) said, he wants that Ahlu Sunna Wal Jamea be united with Interim Galmudug Administration headquartered in central Somalia town of Adado. He has pressured Galmudug leader Abdikarin Hussein Guled into fresh endeavors aiming at end to the standing differences between both sides.

“Mr. President, we encourage you to give attention to Dhusamareb issue, especially Ahlu SunnaWal Jamea with which we held talks during the formation of [IGA).

We firmly believe that those in Dhusamareb are part of Galmudug people, and they should come to the negotiating table,” said Odawa.

In a jibe at gun-muscle, he asked Ahlu Sunna to resolve every grudge through peaceful means.

Remarks have come after months-long standoff over an inclusive administration in central Somalia. The paramilitary group refused to join state-formation convention in Adado in mid-2015, and in subsequent opposition, clashed with Galmudug troops in Guri’el.

Ahlu Sunna, moderates linked to Sufi tradition fought in many battles against Al Shabaab militants in central Somalia.

Afghanistan
Suicide blast leaves six killed, nine wounded in Paktika
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Six people have lost lives and nine others sustained injuries in a suicide kaboom in Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
province.

The blast took place in front of a baker in the capital city of Yahyakhil District around 11:30 am this morning.

The apparent target of the jacket wallah was Musa Khan Kharotai, the district governor, who just drove through the area before the blast took place.

Kharotai said all of the victims of the blast are civilians.

No group has so far said it was behind the kaboom but it came after a suicide bomber of Taliban targeted a mini-bus of Afghan National Army (ANA) in northern Balkh province this morning.

ANA Hits Insurgent Dens in Kunduz, Inflict Heavy Death Toll
Special units of the Afghan national army on Tuesday targeted local militants and their foreign associates and stormed several of their hide outs in various areas of Ali Abad district of Kunduz province in northern Afghanistan.

A number of insurgents were killed and hideouts destroyed. The insurgents were reportedly using the hideouts to plan their summer offensive.

ANA commanders have battled the militants on the ground for months and have said the counterinsurgency operation launched from the air and ground was aimed at destroying militants' hideouts and gatherings where they were plotting to wage war against the security forces in summer.

Army commanders however said that the presence of Punjabi, Chechens and Arab militants on the battlefield who are also backed by snipers were slowing down the operation.

They said that Omarkhail and Angor Bagh villages of Ali Abad were still under the Taliban siege, a threat which forced the Afghan security forces to attack them from air and ground.

Taliban as part of their ongoing tactics have deployed several snipers in some key areas and planted landmines to slow the advance of the security forces. Reports from the warfront have revealed that the insurgents resisted only for 30 minutes and fled the scene after facing strong retaliation from the security forces.

"We have reached those areas which Taliban had activity and they escaped now. But we will follow them to other parts," acting head of the Kunduz military corps, Hamid Saifi said.

The insurgents also sustained a heavy casualty toll and at least 50 of them were wounded during a 20 hour operation, which brought the strategic locations under the control of the Afghan army units.

Yemeni Army Fires 3rd Ballistic Missile at Saudi Airbase in 24 hrs
The Missile Unit of the Yemeni army and the Popular Committees launched at dawn Tuesday a Qaher1-type ballistic missile on Jizan regional airport inside Saudi Arabia, Al-Massira TV channel reported.

The rocket - developed by the expertise of Yemeni forces - has been the third of its kind following two previous missiles fired at Khamis Mushayt military base in the southern province of Asir in Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni military media broadcast video footages of Tuesday's operation, pointing out that the base is one of the most important Saudi air bases.

The Saudi defense minister Mohammad bin Salman visited Jizan hospital to check the conditions of the injured soldiers as the latest toll reported over 200 killed or wounded among KSA troops.

Moreover, the Yemeni army and the Committees made significant progress in Hazm al-Arjan and Mafraq Al-Deeq areas along the way to the road linking the capital Sanaa to central Marib province.

Improvised explosive devices were detonated targeting Saudi vehicle, hitting it directly and dealing human and material losses with the aggression forces.

Bodies of the dead mercenaries remained scattered in the battlefield.

Russia moves troops for war games
Vladimir Putin has put thousands of troops, warplanes and battleships on high alert in a series of military drills designed to test his military's mobility amid growing tensions with the West.

The war games in south-west Russia will include bombing runs and troop deployments, which the Kremlin says will test its military's ability to respond to external threats.

It comes as Western tensions with Russia remain at a low following its annexation of Crimea in 2014, its clandestine support for rebel forces in eastern Ukraine, and its bombing of Syria.

The drills comes as tensions with the West continue to worsen as Russia flexes its military might on the international stage

A man believed to be a Russia soldier stands guard on a military vehicle outside the Ukrainian city of Simferopol. Putin has initiated military drills for his army in the country's southwest near Ukraine.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that military units were put on combat alert early Monday, marking the launch of the exercise that involves troops of the Southern Military District.

The district includes troops stationed in Crimea, the Black Sea peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, as well as forces in the North Caucasus and southwestern regions near the border with Ukraine.

Shoigu said the maneuvers will also engage airborne troops and military transport aviation, as well as the navy.

He noted that the drills are intended to check the troops' ability to respond to extremist threats and other challenges.

According to Shoigu, who spoke at a meeting with the top military brass, the war games would include redeployment of air force units to advance air bases and bombing runs at shooting ranges.

Russia has demonstrated its resurgent military might with its air campaign in Syria in support of president Bashar al-Assad.

The maneuvers will test the troops' mobility, with some being deployed to areas up to 1,800 miles away, the military said.

Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov said in a statement that up to 8,500 troops, 900 ground weapons, 200 warplanes and about 50 warships will be involved in the drills.

The exercises are the latest in a series of major drills intended to strengthen the military's readiness which have continued despite the nation's economic downturn.

#13  So Frank G says put them to the knife. Does anyone realize that that's crazy and genocidal?

Perhaps the writer has forgotten that genocide means the killing off of an antire people, both children and adults, or a serious attempt thereof. Killing a few fascist followers of the now-dead head of the fascist ruling party of a nearly defunct smallish Hispano-American country while leaving their families untouched except for the loss of income and status is as nearly the opposite of genocide as it is possible to be... and in fact what Frank G. suggested is a much nicer version of the traditional method of changing the party in power in that part of the world.

This suggests that the label of crazy might also attach better to the writer than to his or her target, though one suspects a habit of writing censorious posts before thinking is to blame.

Panda, the problem is that they will be killed, like it or not. What's the last time you heard of a socialist regime allowing to be voted out of office and they just hand over the keys to the kingdom to the next administration? Maybe in Europe, but not in hardcore socialist states. Remember how they got there, observe how they are nationalizing everything and bleeding it dry.

Frank doesn't condone it, it's just how regimes like that get taken out of power. They lose their "perks" when they are out of power, so they don't go peacefully.

Chechen forces in Syria helping Russia identify bombing targets
Chechen forces loyal to the Kremlin are on the ground in Syria gathering military intelligence deep inside Daesh-controlled territory which the Russian air force is using to identify bombing targets, Russian state TV has said.

Chechen intelligence agents have also infiltrated the ranks of the militant group, according to Ramzan Kadyrov, the Kremlin-backed leader of Chechnya, who said he had sent undercover agents to train alongside its fighters at the start of the Syrian war.

"According to Ramzan Kadyrov, an extensive spy network has been set up inside Daesh," said Russian state TV, whose coverage usually reflects the Kremlin line.

"The republic's (Chechnya's) best fighters were sent there. They are gathering information about the structure and the number of terrorists, and are identifying targets for bombing and documenting the bombing's results."

The assertions were contained in a teaser for a TV documentary to be broadcast on Wednesday on the state-controlled Russia 24 channel. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for President Vladimir Putin, declined to confirm the presence of Chechen forces in Syria.

Russia launched air strikes in Syria on September 30 and has set up an air base to complement an existing naval facility. It has infantry and armour there to protect its assets and has military trainers and advisers working with the Syrian army.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
DHS, FBI employee data dumped in hack
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A hacker claiming to have downloaded information about thousands of FBI and Department of Homeland Security employees through a Justice Department computer followed through with a threat to publicly release the information online Monday.

The data appears to consist of the names, positions, email addresses and phone numbers of an estimated 9,000 Homeland Security employees and 20,000 FBI employees. The online posts, made separately on Sunday and Monday, are accompanied by a pro-Paleostinian slogans.
Why pro-Palestinian?
The hack was first reported by Motherboard, which quoted the unnamed hacker as saying that he downloaded the data after obtaining access to a Justice Department employee's email account. The hacker then called a department within Justice claiming problems logging into the agency web portal and was able to obtain the needed login information.

Homeland Security front man S.Y. Lee said Monday the agency is looking to the potential breach.

"We are looking into the reports of purported disclosure of DHS employee contact information," Mr. Lee wrote in an email. "We take these reports very seriously, however there is no indication at this time that there is any breach of sensitive or personally identifiable information."

A spokeswoman for the FBI declined to comment Monday about the alleged hack referring questions to the Justice Department where a front man did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

The alleged hack comes after the personal data for more than 21 million people was stolen through a hack of the Office of Personnel Management.

[DAWN] SWABI: At least 125 suspects were jugged

in a pre-dawn joint operation conducted by Mighty Pak Army and police here on Monday.

District police officer Javid Iqbal told news hounds that personnel of intelligence and security agencies, including from the Counter-Terrorism Department, participated in the operation.

DPO Iqbal said police would take action against the local people for harbouring hard boyz coming to the district from other areas.

Replying a question, he said arms and ammunition were also recovered from the suspects during the action.

He said a week back a similar joint operation was conducted in the mountainous region of Maklikabad and its suburbs, arresting over 130 suspected persons.

"We conducted the operation in the regions where we had intelligence reports that hard boyz were hiding there," said another police official who was part of the operation. "The intelligence-based operations would continue against Death Eaters," he added.

DSP Izhar Shah said the operation was conducted in Managi, Sheikh Jana, Asota, Parmuli and Shewa areas. He said the exit points of the localities where operation was conducted were blocked and army and police personnel patrolled there.

Meanwhile,

Gupta, 56, worked in the Indian embassy's information service. She was called back to New Delhi in April 2010 on the pretext of consultations before police swooped on her at home.

Supreme Court stays execution of three APS attack facilitators
[DAWN] The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the execution of three men convicted by military courts for their involvement in the Army Public School attack.

The three men -- Mohammad Zubair, Ali Rehman and Taj Mohammad -- were convicted of facilitating and abetting the deadly attack in Dec 2014 that killed over 140, mostly children.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Dost Muhammad and Justice Qazi Faez Isa ordered a stay on the implementation of the military court decision.

The families of the convicts had challenged the military court verdict through petitions filed in the Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
High Court (PHC), however, after PHC dismissed the appeals, they moved the Supreme Court through Advocate Latif Afridi.

During the hearing, Afridi claimed that the high court did not even open the record and dismissed the appeals without hearing them.

The court issued notices to the attorney general and jail branch, and directed the former to explain the dismissal of the appeals.

The hearing was subsequently adjourned to Feb 16.

On Dec 2 last year, four Lions of Islam involved in the APS massacre were hanged at a civil jail in Kohat. The hangings were the first executions of civilians convicted by Pakistain's military courts.

Daesh smuggles Afghanistan's timber to Pakistan, report

(IS) who have named Afghanistan and Pakistain region as the province of Khorasan are involved in timber smuggling.

Local officials and tribal elders in the eastern region of the country have told VOA that the terrorist group has imported tree-cutting machines to their areas.

Armed men associating themselves with IS-Khorasan or Daesh [Islamic State] have been seen in Achin, Naziyan and Dehbala districts of eastern Nangarhar

province cutting trees with the imported machines for smuggling to Pakistain.

Local residents have been cited by VOA as saying that timber-loaded trucks are sent to Pakistain daily. Some of the timber is sold in local markets in Afghanistan.

"Smuggling takes place ... in areas alongside the Durand Line," Malak Hashem, a tribal elder in Naziyan, told VOA, referring to the Afghan-Pakistain border.

Tribal leaders say the Afghan government is turning a blind eye to the smuggling.

"The government has done nothing in this regard," Malak Afsar, a tribal elder in Achin, told VOA. He added that timber is transported to market by locals who work as middlemen for IS.

A front man for the provincial government said the cutting of trees has not been raised with local government.

However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the acting director of Nangarhar's agriculture directorate said he has heard the reports, but says the tree cutting continues only in one district.

"Dehbala is the only district where the tree cutting is still going on, and we are communicating with local elders in the district to stop it," said the director, who goes by the name Engineer Shakir.

TTP suspect held for facilitating treatment of 'wounded militants' in Karachi
[DAWN] The Counter-Terrorism Department of police on Monday claimed to have locked away
Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages!
a suspected Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain krazed killer who 'facilitated' the treatment of faceless myrmidons in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
after they had been maimed in exchange of fire with the army in Wazoo.

"The held suspect, Amir Zaman, belongs to the outlawed TTP Khan Zaman group. He provided shelter to the maimed krazed killers, who were allegedly involved in attacks on soldiers in Waziristan," said Additional IG (CTD) Dr Sanaullah Abbasi while speaking to Dawn.

The officer added that the suspect had links with Sohrab Goth's main krazed killer group which was involved in kabooms in Karachi. Besides, he was also allegedly involved in money extortion activities.

The 22-year-old suspect told the police Sherlocks that he along with his brother, Zubair, was running a shop in Jamali Goth near Sabzimandi, off the Superhighway. The business was closed down in 2002, he said, adding that his brother meanwhile became an informer of TTP and police. Amir was quoted as telling the police that two of his three brothers were killed while another died from electrocution. Zubair was bumped off in 2007, Shaheen died from electrocution a month and a half later, while Khair Zaman was rubbed out in Gulshan-e-Maymar in 2012, the suspect told the police.

Amir's cousin, Baitullah alias Haji, was an 'active' member of the TTP Khan Zaman group in Sohrab Goth, where he remained involved in extortion and terror acts, Dr Abbasi said. "The Haji was looking after our family and himself arranged my phone contact with Khan Zaman twice or thrice," said the officer quoting the krazed killer.

"Baitullah alias Haji remained involved in attacks on the soldiers in Waziristan," said the officer. The Haji, too, arranged treatment of the maimed faceless myrmidons in Karachi, and Amir on his instructions also facilitated the treatment of the krazed killers, said the additional IG.

The officer said other accomplices of the held faceless myrmidons were identified as Sadam, who was the driver of a coach in Sohrab Goth, and Abdul Shakoor, a mason associated with a famous seminary in Karachi.

The held krazed killer, who claimed to have got education up to class three, told the police that his brother-in-law, a doctor by profession, was murdered two to three months ago in Waziristan.

He also said that he had married the widows of his two brothers at different times but later divorced them after five and eight months, respectively.

The police quoted him as saying that he 'loved' his sister-in-law and he arranged her accommodation at his relative's place in Memon Goth some 20 days back. It was around that time that he destroyed the mobile phone SIM that he was using. It was issued in his mother's name, the police officer said.

China-Japan-Koreas
Debris of Nork booster rocket pulled from ocean
South Korea has released the first images of debris believed to be from a long-range rocket fired by North Korea on Sunday. The pieces were pulled from the sea southwest of Jeju Island shortly after Pyongyang announced it had successfully launched the earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4 into orbit. Recovered debris pieces were being analyzed, South Korea said.

Officials say the number of pieces indicate that the rocket's first-stage booster was fitted with a self-destruct device. An official with South Korea's Defense Ministry said that the booster "separated from [the rocket's] main body and exploded into about 270 pieces." There was no indication that any of the pieces came from the satellite.

Unlike the previous launch in December 2012, few large pieces were recovered.

On Monday, a senior U.S. defense official told CNN the satellite was "tumbling in orbit" and incapable of functioning in any useful way. South Korea also said the object appeared to be in orbit and that no signal had been received.

North Koreans celebrated the country's launch of a satellite into orbit with an official fireworks display Monday night in Pyongyang, state broadcaster KCTV reported.

"We hope that the future of our space technology keeps growing and shines like these fireworks in the sky," an announcer on the North Korean broadcaster said during coverage of the celebrations in the capital.

Yoon Dong Hyun, vice director of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, struck a defiant note in a speech at the celebrations, vowing the country would continue developing its aerospace technology in the face of international sanctions. Efforts by other countries to block such an advance were "nothing more than a puppy barking towards the moon," he said.

A state TV newsreader said the operation had been personally ordered and directed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"The date of the launch appears to be in consideration of the weather condition and ahead of the Lunar New Year and the U.S. Super Bowl," said Jo Ho-young, chairman of the South Korean National Assembly Intelligence Committee.

Alison Evans, senior analyst for Asia-Pacific at IHS Country Risk, said that Pyongyang had likely calculated that by carrying out the rocket launch so soon after the January 6 nuclear test -- before the international community had responded to the latter with new sanctions -- it might face less severe repercussions than if the launch and test were responded to individually.

However, she said, there's not a lot more the international community can do to sanction Pyongyang.
I can think of a few things...
"There are some things that haven't yet been touched upon, like North Korean labor exported abroad, which brings in a lot of foreign currency for the North Korean government," she said. "But if anything, it would be China's implementation of existing sanctions that would tighten the screws on North Korea."

A North Korean satellite launched Saturday may be tumbling in orbit and inoperable.

While the U.S. Defense Department has made no public comment on the status of the Kwangmyongsong-4 satellite launched by North Korea, a senior defense official said it appeared that the satellite was tumbling in orbit, and thus not able to carry out its Earth observation mission.

The official didn’t provide any additional details on the satellite’s condition, and North Korean officials continue to declare the launch a success

Afghanistan
Senior Taliban leader Mullah Hassan Rahmani dies
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A senior member of the Taliban leadership council Mullah Mohammad Hassan Rahmani has passed away, Taliban announced in a statement on Tuesday morning.

According to the statement, Rahmani died of cancer last night.

Images published on social media show an elderly aged man, identified as Rahmani, lying on a bed in a hospital. However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
the location of the hospital is not mentioned.

Mullah Mohammad Hassan Rahmani was a close aide Mullah Mohammad Omar who served as the governor of southern Kandahar province and head of the southern zone during Taliban regime.

Rahmani was among the Taliban leaders who had been involved in meetings for reaching to a peace deal with government including one that was arranged in Urumqi city of China.

He was one of the few Taliban capos who initially opposed the selection of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour as the leader of Taliban after the death of Mullah Omar
... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. The imposition of Pashtunkhwa on the nation institutionalized ignorance and brutality in a country already notable for its own fair share of ignorance and brutality...
But sources later said that a compromise had been reached and Rahmani too pledged allegiance to Mansour.
An Nahar adds:
Mullah Muhammad Hassan Rahmani died of cancer on Monday night in a hospital in the southwestern Pak city of Quetta, two senior Taliban sources told AFP Tuesday, potentially embarrassing Islamabad which denies harboring the bad boy group's leadership on its soil.

Rahmani rose to prominence as a jihadist during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan in the 1980s and lost a leg during the conflict, according to a statement on the Taliban's website which confirmed his death but did not say where it happened.

Pakistain, which was one of just three countries to recognize the Taliban during their period in power, denies the council's existence.

A senior Taliban leader told AFP: "He died in Quetta late Monday night and today his body was moved to Afghanistan. The burial will probably take place in Kandahar."

The source added: "He was a prominent figure in the Taliban leadership and there were some rumors he might soon announce his own splinter group."

Govt seeks CII advice on Domestic Violence Bill
[DAWN] The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central...
government has sent the much delayed Domestic Violence Bill to Council of Islamic Ideology to seek its advice as it believes that the matter involves interpretation of Islamic injunctions.

Law Secretary Mohammad Arifeen told Dawn that Domestic Violence Bill had been pending for the last two months with Council of Islamic Ideology where it was sent for interpretation.

"Since Islamic injunctions were involved in it so the law department sent it to CII after consultation with the social welfare and women development department for their advice on the draft," said Mr Arifeen.

The Provincial Commission on the Status of Women, a recommendatory body on legislation related to women's rights and working under the social welfare and women development department, had been putting its efforts behind the bill, however, the chairperson of PCSW, Neelam Turo, seemed unaware of the move of law department.

"It (the draft bill) is not yet sent to CII," said Ms Turo, who argued that since CII was not a mandatory body so why should the draft law should be sent to it. "Why should we be the one sending the bill to CII when Sindh has not done so," she added.

The Council of Islamic Ideology is a constitutional body that advises the legislature whether or not a certain law is repugnant to Islam, namely to the Holy Koran and Sunna. The Council has male members in majority and only one woman member, Dr Samia Raheel Qazi.

According to Article 227 and 228 of the Constitution, the official said, no law which was repugnant to Islam could be enacted so that was why draft of Domestic Violence Bill was sent to CII to get its view on it. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
under the Constitution, CII has to intimate within 15 days the government about how much time it would need to review the draft law.

The official said that they kept sending reminders to CII. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
he defended the delay saying that good laws took time to formulate. The federal government enacted in 2012 a law, identical to the draft bill of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

"I have no hopes from CII after the way they have treated other issues involving women's rights," said Saima Munir, a rights' activist. She wondered how the provincial government could send a draft law to CII when federal and Sindh governments had already enacted laws on the issue.

"Is Islam followed at federal level and in Sindh is different from what we follow here in the province," Ms Munir questioned.

The Sindh government is so far the only provincial government which has passed Domestic Violence Law in 2013.

However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
the official termed the law enacted by Sindh as "NGOs' law" that could be challenged. "We want a domestic violence law for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa which is in the light of Islamic injunctions and which is better than that of other provinces," said Mr Arifeen.

Three alleged ISIS sympathisers sent to 10 days' NIA custody
[Daily Excelsior] Three terror suspects, who were recently deported from UAE for their alleged ISIS links and for conspiring to carry out terror strikes in India and other countries, were today remanded to 10 days' NIA custody by a Delhi court.

Sheikh Azhar Al Islam, Mohammad Farhan Sheikh and Adnan Hussain were produced in muffled faces before District Judge Amar Nath during in-camera proceedings after expiry of their NIA custody.

According to sources, the NIA sought extension of police remand of the three accused for 12 days, saying they were required to be interrogated to unearth the larger conspiracy of ISIS in India and abroad.

"During questioning, accused had disclosed that they were active supporters of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
and remained in close contact with several active members of IS using internet, telephone and other means of communication in furtherance of its activities," the NIA said in its remand application.

The agency further contended that sustained custodial interrogation of these three accused was required "to unravel the larger criminal conspiracy of IS activities in India and abroad including recruitment of resident and non-resident Indians by the IS."

"Custodial interrogation of the accused during this period has resulted in the revelation of many facts which are pertinent to establish the inter-connection amongst these accused and their association with IS.

"The sustained questioning of the accused also led to the discovery of many facts which need to be further verified and investigated to establish their involvement in furtherance of their activities of the IS by the accused," the agency said.

Advocate M S Khan, who appeared for Farhan and Adnan, opposed the NIA's plea saying his clients have already been interrogated at length and there was no need to extend their custody. Adnan, who hails from Karnataka, Farhan who is from Maharashtra and Sheikh Azhar from Jammu and Kashmire were jugged
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
on January 29 by the NIA after being deported from the UAE.

The trio were detained by the NIA on arrival from the UAE at the IGI airport here.

The three suspects, along with other unknown associates, were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to identify, motivate, radicalise, recruit and train Indian citizens, located in India and abroad, for planning and executing terror attacks, according to the NIA.

On September 15 last year, the UAE had deported four Indians suspected to have links with ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria).

The UAE had also sent back last year a 37-year-old woman Afsha Jabeen for allegedly recruiting youths for ISIS.

In January 2015, Salman Mohiuddin of Hyderabad was arrested when he was preparing to board a flight to Dubai on way to Syria via The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
.

According to Indian intelligence agencies, around six Indians who had joined the ISIS were reportedly killed in different incidents in Iraq and Syria.

Wife of ISIS leader charged in US in death of American hostage Kayla Mueller
[FOXNEWS] The wife of a senior Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
leader who was killed in a U.S. raid last year has been charged in federal court with holding American Kayla Mueller hostage and with contributing to the aid worker's death, the Justice Department said Monday.
Right. Recipe for rabbit stew: First, catch the rabbit....
Nisreen Assad Ibrahim Bahar, also known as Umm Sayyaf, admitted after her capture last May that she and her husband kept Mueller captive along with several other young female hostages, according to an FBI affidavit filed in the case. U.S. officials have said that while in jug, Mueller was repeatedly forced to have sex with His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
, the leader of the Islamic State group
Because infidels are enemies, unless you have a stiffy.
Silly Fred -- stiffies are yet another weapon for conquering infidels. Recall those poor girls in England, and the families who could do nothing about it.
The criminal complaint, filed in federal court in Virginia, charges Umm Sayyaf with conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terror organization, resulting in death.

The case comes one year after Mueller was confirmed dead by her family and the B.O. regime, though it's not clear when or if Umm Sayyaf will be brought to the U.S. to stand trial. The 25-year-old Iraqi woman, who was captured last year, is currently in Iraqi custody and facing prosecution there. Her husband, Abu Sayyaf, a former Islamic State minister for oil and gas, was killed last May in a Delta Force raid of his compound.

is seldom away from controversy. In a video message posted on social media last month, the holy man accused a senior ISI official belonging to "the other sect" of playing the role of spoiler in what he described as positive negotiations with other officials of the agency.

But the security agencies have not taken action against him for attempting to incite sectarian hatred again this time. Clearly, the long arm of the law does not reach a proclaimed offender even if he defies the country's Constitution and openly defends murderous Moslem violence. The case of Maulana Aziz is yet another example of the selective use of the National Action Plan that has long lost its way. With no less than the federal interior minister often defending him one cannot blame the security agencies for their inaction.

KDF jets bomb Al shabaab stronghold in southern Somalia
The military jets of Kenyan defense forces (KDF) launched an overnight airstrike on a village near Kismayo which is controlled by the Al Qaeda-affiliated group of Al shabaab, residents said.

The KDF warplanes hit Berhani, an Alshabaab area that lies approximately 60 kilometers north of the port town of Kismayo, the seat of the interim Jubbaland administration. Residents say they heard loud explosions after jets fired several missiles on Barhani, targeting Al shabaab camps. Casualties of the aerial attack were not immediately established.

Al shabaab did not comment on KDF air raid against it base near Kismayo. Kenyan troops are serving under the banner of African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM).

Top conspiracies
[DAWN] EVEN when the collectors of creative data are not counting, it can be safely assumed that the average Pak unmasks a couple of conspiracies every hour. Some Paks are more prolific when it comes to seeing through 'nefarious' designs, while others are in a perpetual state of being conspired against. They would be all very pleased to have found justification for their preoccupation with theories voiced in absolute tones by the very leaders who should be assuring the people that no one is plotting their downfall. Two new conspiracies that were revealed to national readers on Tuesday stood out. Teachers in Sindh blew up the embarrassingly inadequate cover on the dark scheme to take over public universities, and the prime minister ordered an investigation of the PIA management's role in the ongoing strike that has crippled the operations of what is still a national airline. Reports say the management might have colluded with the workers, 'hand in glove', to bring PIA to a halt. Needless to say, this latest conspiracy follows the slow, deliberate death the airline was subjected to by a government out to dispose of state assets.

It would appear that no other term has the expanse and efficacy of the word 'conspiracy'. Consider a group of officials forced to explain to the boss, say a prime minister, how a certain package, for example about privatisation, didn't quite unfold as it had been predicted to. Would it suffice for them to come up with a straightforward note explaining the dissenters' grievances and the possible answers to address those? Not quite when there is at hand a worthy term that can so profoundly cover all aspects of an issue and project one as the victim of a sinister plot. The conspiracy theorists will be emboldened when topnotch functionaries can at will parade a handful of conspirators shamelessly working against development. The creative monitors of fancy trends need not despair. Given the current acceptance of the term, conspiracy talk is not leaving this land anytime soon.

Arabia
Saudi currency devaluation would carry major political risk
[Dhaka Tribune] A devaluation of Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
's currency could cause such political instability that Riyadh has little choice but to stick to its promise to use vast foreign exchange reserves to defend the riyal's 30-year-old peg to the US dollar.

Currency traders have been betting against the Saudi peg, and those of other regional oil producers, in the wake of oil's price collapse. Societe Generale last week said it saw at least a 25% chance of a near-term devaluation or 40% if oil prices stay at current levels throughout 2016.

But in Saudi Arabia's largely dollar-denominated economy breaking the peg would immediately raise the price of goods, hitting living standards.

Combined with other pending painful economic reforms, this could lead to unrest in a country where the unwritten social contract swaps citizens' obedience and allegiance to the king for good government services and a share in oil wealth.

Some diplomats living in Saudi Arabia say privately that a break in the peg is the single biggest political risk facing a country already embroiled in a war in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
and suffering periodic deadly attacks by myrmidons.

The biggest Arab economy has only a small manufacturing base and almost all goods come as dollar-priced imports, so a cheaper riyal would instantly make normal Saudis feel poorer without providing any benefit to the wide economy via cheaper exports.

Shuhada Foundation has termed Maulana Abdul Aziz
...nutball holy man who runs the Lal Masjid in the heart of Pakistain's capital. After instigating a rebellion against the state in 2007, he was caught trying to sneak away dressed in a burka. He rejects democracy as un-Islamic, which it probably is...
's decision to withdraw the murder case against former president Pervez Perv Musharraf
... former dictator of Pakistain, who was less dictatorial and corrupt than any Pak civilian government to date ...
against the spirit of Sharia.

The foundation held a meeting in Lal Masjid on Monday and declared that Maulana Aziz had imposed a 'clergy dictatorship' on his family to hide the tyranny of a military dictator.

The meeting was followed by a presser at the same place where a day earlier Maulana Aziz had addressed mediapersons and pardoned everybody responsible for the 2007 military operation on the mosque and the attached seminary, Jamia Hafsa
... the Islamic nunnery maintained by Lal Masjid....
.

Though the chairperson of Shuhada Foundation is Ume Hasaan, the wife of Maulana Aziz who was sitting beside her husband at the time of his media talk, the other office-bearers of the foundation, including its president Tariq Asad advocate, are opposing the decision.

"This decision is against Sharia and we would like Maulana Abdul Aziz to take it back," Mr Asad said, adding: "Maulana Aziz is talking about the implementation of Sharia in the country but his own acts are contrary to the principles of Sharia."

He said he and Shuhada Foundation never bowed to any pressure or offer by anybody, including the former military dictator.

Mr Asad said the former general himself had wanted the Shuhada Foundation to take back the murder case of Maulana Abdul Rasheed Ghazi but we declined to accept his demand.

"The dictator was even ready to submit a public apology and made four other offers but we rejected them," he claimed.

The other three offers as stated by Mr Asad were: payment of blood money to the heirs of those killed in the military operation, rebuilding of Jamia Hafsa from his own pocket at its old place - the children library - and to be witness against those who were responsible for the military operation.

"We rejected it and we announce to continue the legal and constitutional struggle against all those responsible for the military operation on Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa in 2007," Mr Asad said.

The Shuhada Foundation also announced to lodge a fresh FIR against Gen Musharraf and other military officers of that time, the then prime minister, Shaukat Aziz, and other cabinet members for the 2007 military operation.

Europe
When Stone Age comes to town
[WASHINGTONTIMES] If there's a clash of civilizations, both sides have to have one. A civilization, that is.

So when I hear about the 'clash' between migrants from various Muslim countries and their host countries in Europe, I certainly know it's not "cultural."

Oh sure, there's a major problem Europeans are facing with the deluge of Arab Muslims sweeping into their countries, but one of the big revelations is how Islamist nations have chosen crazed religiosity over an actually civilized culture.

Up until the million-plus fighting-age Muslim men from Syria and Libya poured into Europe, the civilized world presumed the barbaric behavior of holy warriors was limited to some freakish fringe of the Islamic world.

But what if it is a natural outgrowth of shunning normal civilization brought by an adherence to a backward, Stone-Age view of life? That is, after all, an excellent way for a few elites to control a massive population, no?

The misogynistic treatment of women, the execution of gays, the enslavement of foreign workers, the imprisonment of 'heretics,' and of course, murder of infidels, is well known throughout the Islamist world.

But another simple sign of backwardness is, well, literally making a toilet of Europe.

It's the 21st century, and while Germany is dealing with the importation of a rape culture, they're also finding if you have disdain for basic norms in the civilized world, you apparently also don't like using toilets.

One would think the habit of migrants relieving themselves in public, on the street, in subway cars, in showers, and on floors in buildings would demand an intervention of some sort. Oh, like realizing if there's going to be any assimilation, then teaching these people that defecating in public isn't acceptable in Western civilization might be a good idea.

But no. Instead, the reaction has been predictably politically correct, and left to an enterprising company that has decided the civilized will adapt to the more... quaint requirements of invading cavemen.

According to Breitbart News, "German bathroom manufacturers are developing "multicultural toilets" to help ensure Middle Eastern migrants need not adapt to European sanitation norms. Multiple reports have emerged of recent arrivals finding themselves utterly "mystified" by Western loos. Some have resorted to doing their business on the floor or outdoors, others have used showers, and many migrants will have never seen toilet paper before."

Hence, the toilet manufacturer has developed "a mobile "multicultural toilet" complete with a squatting platform and water hose for migrant friendly sanitation," reports Breitbart.

Why a water hose? Up until 2015, water was the only permissible way for a Muslim to clean oneself in the bathroom. That is, until The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
issued a fatwa allowing Muslims to use toilet paper. Yes, a fatwa was required. In the 21st century. Allowing Muslims to, well, wipe.

"The set of rules for how Muslims should relieve themselves, called the Qadaa al-Haajah, was established in the times before toilet paper or toilet seats were invented. Use of the left hand or three stones was also permissible," reports the London Daily Mail. "The code also states that followers should not speak or read while on the toilet and should enter with their left foot and leave with their right, speaking a prayer," notes the newspaper.

Illegal arms 'factory' unearthed

two suspects who allegedly ran the illegal business.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) retired Capt Amin Wains told journalists that Naulakha police conducted a raid at Sabari Mills and Spring Store on Railway Road and arrested its owner Nazir Ahmed and his brother Muhammad Asif, sealing the factory.

He said the suspects were dealing in arms without any licence and their gun repairing workshop permit had also expired.

"We are still counting the weapons and spare parts recovered during the raid," the CCPO added.

commander living there as a refugee.

Sankt Johann is a small village in the south west German state, Rhineland-Palatinate. Something of a rural idyll, its 800 residents live between vineyards in the shadow of a 14th century Gothic church. And yet, as SPIEGEL TV reports, this weekend it was the scene of police raids on two Islamic State-linked suspects living in refugee housing.

Prosecutors' office front man Michael Neuhaus said the two men targeted by the operation are "suspected of taking part in the Syrian civil war as members of a foreign terrorist organization". He said there were "no immediate indications that a concrete attack was planned" but declined to give any further details.

Two houses in the village are used to house Syrian refugees, but among the opponents of the Assad regime living there SPIEGEL TV tracked down a suspected commander of the Islamic State terror group after tip offs from other Syrian activists. They had identified him as a man called Bassam, a notorious commander said to be responsible for the deaths of dozens of people.

Afghanistan
U.S. to deploy 100s of additional troops to Helmand
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] As the battle between Afghan forces and Taliban toughens and reports suggest that some areas are on the verge of collapse, the United States has decided sending hundreds of additional troops to southern Afghanistan's Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
province.

By month's end, a force described as battalion-strength, consisting of mostly army soldiers, will arrive in Helmand province where US and UK forces have struggled in battles for over a decade to drive out the Taliban, the Guardian reports.

In keeping with Barack Obama
I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody...
's formal declaration that the US is not engaged in combat, despite elite forces recently participating in an hours-long battle in Helmand, defense officials said the additional troops would not take part in combat. But they will help the existing Helmand force defend itself against Taliban attacks, officials said.

US military officials declined to offer many specifics about an upcoming reinforcement, but they described the mission as primarily aimed at bolstering the performance of the embattled 215th Corps of the Afghan military, through training.

The 215th Corps has recently had its commander replaced amid performance and corruption concerns, and has endured "unusually high operating tempo for long periods of time", outgoing US commander General John Campbell testified to Congress last week. It is among four Afghan corps that still have US military advisers embedded within it, despite a recent pullback to advise at higher levels.

"Our mission remains the same," said Colonel Michael Lawhorn, a front man for the US command in Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
, "to train, advise, and assist our Afghan counterparts, and not to participate in combat operations."

The Guardian understands the additional forces in Helmand will not increase the current total troop numbers in Afghanistan, which currently stand at 9,800, but will instead be deployed from troops already in the country. Batallion strengths vary, but can constitute a force of up to 800 troops.

While new advisers make up a significant component of the additional forces, Lawhorn said that another mission of the reinforcement will be to "bolster force protection for the current staff of advisers", suggesting a concern for the safety of the existing Helmand force amid major recent Taliban gains.

The US military has sounded warnings of a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, in Helmand and beyond, that have prompted significant revisions in Obama's war plans.

Already Obama has agreed to leave 5,500 troops in Afghanistan past the end of his presidency, but his newly confirmed commander, General John "Mick" Nicholson, told a Senate panel recently that increased bully boy violence will prompt him to re-evaluate troop requests, and left the door open to bolstering a force Obama has sought to draw down.

Opium-rich Helmand has emerged as a Taliban priority, as most of its 2015 attacks focused on the province. Unlike earlier eras of the war, the Taliban have declined to take a winter break and have fought in the province all year.

The Taliban have come close to overrunning a district center in Helmand, Sangin, where more than 100 UK troops died during a war that has entered its 15th year, despite US Arclight airstrikes in late December. Kabul is said to control only three of Helmand's 14 districts, including the quiet provincial capital of Lashkar Gah.

Outgoing commander Campbell, testifying to Congress last week, said that while current rules of engagement prevented US troops who are not engaged in counter-terrorism raids from initiating fights with the Taliban, "I have no restrictions on providing force protection" for troops that train Afghans.

Lawhorn described the reinforcement as a "planned deployment of additional personnel", but at least one congressional official contacted by the Guardian was unaware of the plan.

Daily Kos Opinion Says the Clinton Era is Over
From Daily Kos - an Activist Leftist Netroots Site
You have to wonder if this is what Debbie Wasserman Schultz was trying to prevent all along. The Clinton campaign, in a matter of days, has completely lost its soul.
Nah, I think she lost her soul around the time she matriculated at Yale Law...
More like she sold it on the installment plan.
Yesterday, Bill Clinton's stumping for his wife in New Hampshire took on an angry tone, and his attacks on Bernie Sanders became very antagonistic. In doing so, he clarified for all of us that the era of Clinton as a liberal hero are coming to a conclusive end.

Accusing Sanders of fiscal ineptitude, blatant hypocrisy, and of encouraging "vicious trolling and attacks" online,
Bill is clearly the expert in each of these, isn't he...
Clinton went as dark as any Republican, and with just as much dignity. Exaggerating the fault of the DNC data breach earlier in the campaign, Clinton suggested that Sanders campaign looted information and then feigned innocence.
Such a thing never occurred to Hilarity...
Never mind that the individual responsible was recommended by the DNC and summarily fired by the Sanders campaign. Clinton was as "fair and balanced" as Bill O'Reilly in his comments, a far cry from the erudite champion of Democrats we once thought he was.

12 Asian men jailed for 143 years for gang-raping 13-year-old white girl, Muslim councillor admits some in community still think SHE was partly to blame
[DAILYMAIL.CO.UK] A Muslim councillor has admitted that some feel as though 'it takes two to tango' as 12 men were nabbed
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
for gang-raping a 13-year-old white girl in West Yorkshire.
Apparently it takes 13 to tango, especially if the girl's 13-years-old.
The gang of men from Pak origin were nabbed
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
for a total of 143 years at Bradford Crown Court today, for 13 months of horrendous abuse of the British white girl in 2011 and 2012.
Is that a total of 143 years apiece, or is it 143 years divided by twelve, which is a different matter entirely.

the Councillor for Keighley Central, where the abuse took place, has admitted that some members of the community felt 'it takes two to tango' and that the girl may have 'played her part'.
Piece of meat is a part, I guess.
Zafar Ali, who has been a member of the Keighley Mosque for decades believes that some of the men may have attended in the past, but said the Muslim community totally condemn their actions.
"Oh, yasss. Toadally."
He told MailOnline: 'Everyone now believes that justice has been done, we need to move forward and it is a lesson for the whole Muslim community.
"Yes,sir. Lesson learned. Never happen again, sir! Yep. Yep."
'There are a few bad apples but this does not represent the Muslim community as a whole and any sensible Muslim totally condemns these actions.'
"You can trust us on that, Dean Wormer!"

for sexual activity with a child under 16 today at Bradford Crown Court, but the ringleader has fled to Bangladesh.
"I'm off to the Sunderbans! Write when it blows over!"
The sentences come as it emerged that:
  • Ringleader Ahmed Al-Choudhury who facilitated most of the offences is believed to now be living in Bangladesh after fleeing at the beginning of the investigation in 2012

  • Keighley MP Kris Hopkins spoke out about the 'sick model' of Asian sex gangs grooming vulnerable maidens of tender years for sex in West Yorkshire

  • Hopkins caused controversy in 2012 for claiming that Muslim men are 'fundamentally racist' and groups were 'out raping white girls' at that very moment

  • He claims he has today been 'lambasted' for mentioning that the men were Asian, but claims that there are more victims 'who need justice'

  • Councillor Zafar Ali, Keighley Central, says the issue is 'not confined' to the Muslim community and the response should be 'rational'
After the sentencing, Kris Hopkins, Conservative MP for Keighley spoke out against the 'sick model of organised groups of Asian men grooming young white girls', but said there are more women out there who need justice.

He said the sentenced were vindication for controversial comments he made during a parliamentary debate in 2012, claiming that organised groups of Asian men were 'going around raping white girls'.

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
he claims that even today he has been 'lambasted' for even mentioning that the men are Asian when talking about the sentences.

He told MailOnline: 'There are sexual offenders who are white, but the fact is this particular model is all Asian men and all the victims were white.

#1  'There are a few bad apples but this does not represent the Muslim community as a whole and any sensible Muslim totally condemns these actions.'

Riiiiggghht.

That was 143 years total, not each.

And that was in trade for 13 months of this girl enduring these animals' favorite hobby.

Councillor Zafar Ali, Keighley Central, says the issue is 'not confined' to the Muslim community and the response should be 'rational'

Agreed. But it's strange how all twelve men were Pakistani. The group is not assimilated. That's a cultural thing.

#3  this headline and description of the rapists is everything that is wrong with our culture today.

1) it is irrelevant that the men are *asian*. race is irrelevant

2) It is irrelevant that they were pakistani origin. Nationality is irrelevant.

3) it was omitted that the men were all muslims. This is extremely relevant.

Islamist teaching tells men that muslim women in hijabs are showing their modesty with their veils. Therefore unveiled muslim women are sluts.

Unveiled non-muslim women are fair game. Not only sluts but it is sanctioned to sexually attack them because they are not to be respected. They are lower in the social heirarchy than muslim women veiled or unveiled, therefore - rape away and blame it on them

If we cannot get our heads around accurate reporting and naming the problem then we will lose this war. Your children will be banging their heads five times a day to mecca by the time they are 50

Name it -- muslim men, an Islamist rape gang

Name the problem -- Islamist teaching that women who are unveiled are partly to blame for rape is evil and wrong and needs to be tackled

Quote a muslim naming the solution -- plenty of muslim women have spoken out against slut shaming. Quote a progressive, liberal muslim (they hate Islamists) criticising this backwards stone age idea, and demanding that women be treated as equals without regard for multicultural concerns.

That is how news stories should be written

f*ck Islamophobia

What about stupid racism from these misleading descriptions? atheist, christian or hindu pakistani migrants would never engage in this, because they are not taught Islamist supremacism!

Afghanistan
Faryab Girl Gets Public Lashing By Taliban
A young girl in Faryab province who reportedly had a phone conversation with a strange man was allegedly subjected to a public lashing by the Taliban as punishment.

In video footage in TOLOnews' possession, a Taliban commander is seen saying the girl had an affair with a young boy but that the boy fled to an area under government control.

Tahir Sardash, TOLOnews correspondent, who sent in the report said that the girl lives 18km from Maimana city, the capital of Faryab province.

Religious scholars have however slammed the action, calling it un-Islamic.

"Determining the implementation of such punishment is the authority of official institutions. Islam is against such action," said Waliullah Labib, a religious scholar.

The footage shows armed Taliban men and a Taliban judge lashing a girl named Bebe Gul - a resident of Pashton Kot district of Faryab province.

In reaction to the lashing, the Human Rights Commission strongly condemned the action.

"The Human Rights Commission strictly condemns the incident and asks the government to implement the law and see that justice is carried out," said Latifa Sultani, coordinator of the women's rights section at the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, AIHRC.

In the past few months, a number of violent crimes have been carried out against women by kangaroo courts. However, most perpetrators are still at large.

How Hard Would It Be To Steal The New Hampshire Primary?
[DAILYCALLER] The first and foremost problem is the simple fact Secretary Gardner cannot guarantee a close election will be determined by Granite Staters. The problem is “drive by voting.” The simple fact of the matter is that political operatives, and even the media, who are in New Hampshire on Election Day could vote in New Hampshire.

Some famous political operatives have done this in the past, including New York resident and niece to the Vice President, Alana Biden, who volunteered for the Obama-Biden campaign in 2012 in New Hampshire and voted in New Hampshire. She simply said she was living (with eight other campaign staffers) in New Hampshire on Election Day.

As Secretary Gardner has stated, “working on political campaigns is not sufficient evidence” to make someone eligible to vote in New Hampshire. Secretary Gardner personally witnessed vote fraud in 2008 when AmeriCorps volunteers who planned to leave on December 1 registered at the polls and voted.
