Repubs Introduce Resolution To Impeach IRS Commish Koskinen
About damned time...

House conservatives moved on Tuesday to impeach IRS Commissioner John Koskinen over allegations that he misled investigators over the agency's inappropriate targeting of Tea Party groups.

Rep. John Fleming, R-La., introduced the resolution to impeach Koskinen on Tuesday afternoon. "[Koskinen] engaged in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with his duties as an officer of the United States," Fleming said on the floor.

The filing of the resolution is the culmination of years of investigation into how and why the IRS applied extra scrutiny of Tea Party groups that filed for tax-exempt status. His impeachment is chiefly favored by members of the House Freedom Caucus, who forced John Boehner into retirement last year, but it has spread beyond the caucus to include House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, and others who believe Koskinen oversaw the destruction of evidence that lawmakers were seeking as they investigated the targeting scandal.

HRC IT aide pleads Fifth, skips hearing - Platte River mugs plead Fifth, Cooper talking
[The Hill] The former State Department employee who set up Hillary Clinton's private email server did not appear before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday morning, despite a subpoena to testify on the deletion of some of Clinton's emails.

Bryan Pagliano exercised his Fifth Amendment right not to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi in 2015. He was also reportedly awarded an immunity deal during the FBI’s now-closed investigation into Clinton’s server.

"It's a serious matter. Mr. Pagliano has chosen to evade a subpoena duly issued by the committee. I will consult with counsel and my colleagues to consider a full range of options available to address Mr. Pagliano’s failure to appear," Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said.

"He should be here. When you are served a subpoena by the United States Congress, that is not optional," he said.

Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.) suggested that contempt of Congress could be an option for the Committee.

A former senior advisor to President Bill Clinton and two IT specialists associated with Hillary Clinton’s email server on Tuesday morning did appear before the panel.

Those three individuals were Justin Cooper, the Clinton advisor who set up the email address, and two employees of Platte River Networks, the Colorado company that maintained the server.

Platte River Networks’ Bill Thornton and Paul Combetta were also subpoenaed to appear before the panel. Both exercised their Fifth Amendment right and refused to answer questions.

French President Hollande Blames US For Its Terrorist Problems
[Daily Caller] French President Francois Hollande commemorated 9/11 by blaming the U.S. for France's terrorism problem on Facebook.

Hollande prefaced his admonishment by parroting the now famous, "We Are All Americans Today," headline from French newspaper Le Monde, dated September 12, 2001. Hollande then blamed the U.S. response to 9/11, particularly the 2003 invasion of Iraq, for fanning the flames of terrorism.

"Even though France, through (ex-President) Jacques Chirac, rightly refused to join the intervention which it even condemned, it has still been a victim of the consequences of the chaos it caused," Hollande continued.

France may have opposed the U.S. invasion of Iraq but it also aggressively supported the 2011 NATO intervention in Libya. France and Britain pursued a United Nations (U.N.) Security Council resolution supporting a no-fly zone in Libya, and heavily pressured President Obama to sign on to the plan.

Federal Bureau of Idiots Tried To Recover 27 HRC Bonus Emails From Congress
[Daily Caller] FBI officials have asked House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (HOGR) members to return 27 emails they gave the committee in a document dump from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s investigative file.

The FBI asked HOGR Chairman and Utah Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz’ committee to return the emails after including them in an Aug. 17 document dump that was supposed to be identical to an Aug. 16 document -- but wasn’t, according to Chaffetz.

"The problem is the second set had 27 emails more than the other one, which we were grateful for ... only to have the FBI try to come back and recover those," Chaffetz said in a Monday hearing with intelligence community officials over classifications and redactions from the FBI investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server at the Department of State.

"Not because it was SAP (Special Access Programs) material -- because it was embarrassing. That’s why. It was embarrassing. But we should have had it in the first round," Chaffetz said.

Reminds me of a story my wife told me about a LEO who was talking at her school back in the late '60s who was acquainting students with what a joint looked like. This police officer passed a few joints around for the students to examine. He said he'd better get them all back. When they were returned, he ended up with several more than he passed around.

Deplorable Conspiracy Theorists and the HRC 'Body Double' - You Decide
[Bizpac Review] After Hillary Clinton collapsed Sunday in New York City and reemerged about an hour and a half later from her daughter's apartment, conspiracy theorists began to circulate a rumor that they weren't the same person.

It was hard for some to marry the two images of Clinton, one of her limp body being dragged into an SUV and whisked away from the ceremony and the second of a chipper, spry woman posing for pictures with a child and telling reporters she was "feeling great."

Here's a summary of the fun . . .

New Emails Expose Close Relationship Between Lindsey Graham and Top HRC Aides
[Fox] Long before Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) became a prominent NeverTurmper, he appears to have been a favorite Republican among the Clinton camp.

According to emails obtained by Citizens United through a Freedom of Information Act request and first given to LifeZette, Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band referred to Graham as the "bff" of longtime Hillary Clinton confidante Huma Abedin in November 2009.

At the time, Band was traveling with former president Bill Clinton to a conference in Israel and mentioned in an email to Abedin, then the deputy chief of staff at the State Department, that Graham was at the event.

"So funny! Tell him hi," Abedin replied.

"Lindsey said with all due respect I don't measure up to Huma," Band wrote.

#1  PJ Media Excerpt from Nov 2012:

The Three Faces of John McCain on the Muslim Brotherhood

"After talking with the Muslim Brotherhood, I was struck with their commitment to change the law because they believe it's unfair," said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.), who was traveling with Mr. McCain. Mr. Graham and other lawmakers praised the Brotherhood, whose Freedom and Justice Party won a plurality of nearly 50% of the seats in Parliament, as a strong potential partner for the future of U.S. relations with Egypt.

That marks a dramatic change from several months ago, when some Republican politicians reacted warily to the Brotherhood's rising clout. In April 2011, Mr. Graham said he was suspicious of the Brotherhood's "agenda," and that "their motives are very much in question."

IDF Veteran Danny Lewin, the first person killed on 9/11/2001
[LI] By most accounts, Danny Lewin was the first victim of 9/11. Seated in seat 9B aboard American Airlines flight 11, he saw Mohamed Atta and Abdulaziz al-Omari, sitting just in front of him, rise and make their way to the cockpit. According to calls from flight attendants to air traffic officials, later documented in the 9/11 Commission’s report, Lewin wasted no time in acting. Having served as an officer in Sayeret Matkal, the Israel Defense Forces’ top unit, he moved to tackle the terrorists. The man in 10B, Satam al-Suqami, moved, too, producing a knife and slitting Lewin’s throat. Less than 30 minutes later, at 8:46 a.m., the plane crashed into the World Trade Center’s North Tower.

Elsewhere, in America and all over the world, people desperate for accurate information turned to the Internet for news. Straining under the overwhelming demand of tens of millions of simultaneous requests, the web’s biggest news sites threatened to collapse. Very few did, thanks in large part to the technology that Lewin himself had developed years earlier: Although only 31 at the time of his murder, he was the co-founder of Akamai, a pioneering technology company whose content routing solutions enable the seamless flow of nearly 20 percent of the web’s traffic.

Clinton Surrogate Blames Methodism For Campaign's Lies About HRC's Health [VIDEO]
[Daily Caller] Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm thinks that Hillary Clinton’s religion played a key part in the campaign's decision not to disclose her pneumonia diagnosis.

MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson had just asked Granholm why Clinton waited to tell the public about her illness, when "the campaign has already struggled with trust issues?"

"You've got to admit that -- and you probably do this, too -- we in my house say when you get a cold, power through, power through. Don’t give it any power," Granholm responded. "I am certain that Hillary Clinton, being the stoic Methodist that she is, didn't want to give it power."

[Daily Caller] Hillary Clinton's fainting episode at a 9/11 memorial Sunday morning was preceded by months of Matt Drudge, the proprietor of the Drudge Report, claiming that Hillary’s health is worse than she lets on to the public.

Video of the incident shows Clinton going limp before being carried into a van by Secret Service agents. The Clinton campaign first downplayed the incident as "overheating," before later blasting out a note from Clinton’s doctor saying she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday.

Drudge again called attention to Clinton's health last week after she had a severe coughing fit last Monday that lasted almost two minutes. (RELATED: Hillary Has A Nearly 2 Minute Long Coughing Fit [VIDEO])

On Tuesday, Drudge tweeted out a picture of the Clinton press pool that had been photoshopped to portray the reporters wearing surgical masks. The Drudge Report prominently featured stories on Clinton’s coughing episode the same day, earning criticism from the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza.

Europe
Great Synagogue of Pilsen Returns to Jews of Czech Republic
[Jewish Press] The famed Great Synagogue of Pilsen is returning to Jewish hands and hearts after 20 years as a Czech concert hall and art museum.

After more than a decade of intense lobbying, the city fathers of the Czech Republic’s Pilsen municipality have made a decision to return the majestic synagogue in their care to its rightful owners, the city’s Jews.

Seized by the Communists in 1973, the synagogue ‐ originally completed in 1893 -- had been shut down and then woefully neglected, ultimately falling into disrepair.

The city fathers reclaimed it and began restoration in 1995, working slowly to rehabilitate the beautifully sculpted architecture until it shined again in 1998.

But then, instead of returning the synagogue to Pilsen’s Jewish community, inexplicably, authorities reopened the building as an art museum and concert hall.

The Great Synagogue of Pilsen is justifiably renowned throughout the world, in continuous use from the time it was built in 1893 until its seizure by the Communists, except for the years of the horror of the Holocaust. It is the second-largest Jewish house of worship in Europe and is known to be the third-largest synagogue that exists in the world.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
John Kerry's State Department Funneled MILLIONS To His Daughter's Nonprofit
It's a tradition, donchaknow.
[Daily Caller] More than $9 million of Department of State money has been funneled through the Peace Corps to a nonprofit foundation started and run by Secretary of State John Kerry’s daughter, documents obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The Department of State funded a Peace Corps program created by Dr. Vanessa Kerry and officials from both agencies, records show. The Peace Corps then awarded the money without competition to a nonprofit Kerry created for the program.

Initially, the Peace Corps awarded Kerry’s group ‐ now called Seed Global Health ‐ with a three-year contract worth $2 million of State Department money on Sept. 10, 2012, documents show. Her father was then the chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, which oversees both the Department of State and the Peace Corps.

Seed secured a four-year extension in September 2015, again without competition. This time, the Peace Corps gave the nonprofit $6.4 million provided by the Department of State while John Kerry was secretary of state.

Dr. Zuhki Jasser MD: HRC Didn't Pass Out from Dehydration, It was Cardio or Neurological Disorder (VIDEO)
[Gateway] Dr. Zuhdi Jasser M.D. joined Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV to discuss Hillary Clinton’s health concerns. Dr. Jasser was a physician for the Navy and and physician for Congress told Steve Hilary’s medical emergency was not caused by dehydration.

Dr. Zuhdi Jasser: What she had was a syncopal episode. She passed out. That’s either cardiovascular or neurologic. Now, her team wants us to believe it is dehydration. She didn’t appear to be dehydrated and that doesn’t get fixed in 90 minutes. So I can tell you that it really appears and if I let a patient with the condition of syncope leave my office, and not get admitted, and get evaluated immediately, that would be malpractice. Humans may speak a universal language, say scientists
[Telegraph] Humans across the globe may be actually speaking the same language after scientists found that the sounds used to make the words of common objects and ideas are strikingly similar.

The discovery challenges the fundamental principles of linguistics, which state that languages grow up independently of each other, with no intrinsic meaning in the noises which form words.

But research which looked into several thousand languages showed that for basic concepts, such as body parts, family relationships or aspects of the natural world, there are common sounds - as if concepts that are important to the human experience somehow trigger universal verbalisations.

"These sound symbolic patterns show up again and again across the world, independent of the geographical dispersal of humans and independent of language lineage," said Dr Morten Christiansen, professor of psychology and director of Cornell's Cognitive Neuroscience Lab in the US where the study was carried out.

"There does seem to be something about the human condition that leads to these patterns. We don't know what it is, but we know it's there."

The study found, that in most languages, the word for ’nose’ is likely to include the sounds ’neh’ or the ’oo’ sound, as in ’ooze.’

You know Sherlock, if you walk to the next building or across the commons, there's an office with title like anthropology department. They have this theory about an African diaspora in where hunter gathers migrated (before a wall could be built) out of the continent to populate the world. That would imply all the basics and knowledge needed by hunter gathers and a language to communicate them. Given the population wasn't yet even near millions*, we can speculate that their vocabulary wasn't either.

#5  Does Director Christiansen include languages outside the major lingustic families, languages like Piraha, spoken only by an isolated tribe in the Amazonian jungle, described as:

Unrelated to any other extant tongue, and based on just eight consonants and three vowels, Pirahã has one of the simplest sound systems known. Yet it possesses such a complex array of tones, stresses, and syllable lengths that its speakers can dispense with their vowels and consonants altogether and sing, hum, or whistle conversations.

...The Pirahã, Everett wrote, have no numbers, no fixed color terms, no perfect tense, no deep memory, no tradition of art or drawing, and no words for “all,” “each,” “every,” “most,” or “few”—terms of quantification believed by some linguists to be among the common building blocks of human cognition. Everett’s most explosive claim, however, was that Pirahã displays no evidence of recursion, a linguistic operation that consists of inserting one phrase inside another of the same type, as when a speaker combines discrete thoughts (“the man is walking down the street,” “the man is wearing a top hat”) into a single sentence (“The man who is wearing a top hat is walking down the street”). Noam Chomsky, the influential linguistic theorist, has recently revised his theory of universal grammar, arguing that recursion is the cornerstone of all languages, and is possible because of a uniquely human cognitive ability.

Contrariwise, what Procopius2k said.

[Breitbart] Singer Wayne Newton had a message for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who are protesting the oppression of black people in America by not standing for the national anthem.

"I think every American has the right to say and do whatever it is that freedom offers us," Newton said. "However, during the national anthem, is not the time or the place to show that kind of thing. I have no tolerance at all for it. I support the right to say what they believe and how they believe it, but that’s the wrong place and time."

Newton then added they could "get the hell out" if they do not like it.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
US-Backed ‘moderates’ Reject Nationwide Ceasefire, Officially
[SOUTHFRONT.ORG] Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
has officially rejected a nationalwide ceasefire proposal pushed by the United States and Russia.

Ahrar al-Sham is one of the largest Syrian krazed killer groups. Despite the radical views, the group is often called the "moderate opposition" by the Western Media and is supported by the United States.

On September 12, Deputy Leader of Ahrar al-Sham ’Abo Ammar al-Omar’ publicly rejected the ceasefire proposal in the Eid message. According to al-Omar, the problem is that the ceasefire will exclude from the agrreemennt some Syrian "opposition" groups... for example the Jabhat Fatah al-Sham (formerly Jabhat Al-Nusra) terrorist group and other Al Qaeda affilates in Syria.

The proposed ceasefire is set to be started today at 16:45 local time. However,
if you can't say something nice about a person some juicy gossip will go well...
there are serious doubts that it will be de-facto implemented on the ground.

Philippine communists praise Duterte's US bashing
[Inquirer] The communist National Democratic Front (NDF) praised President Duterte’s anti-US statement. A statement signed by NDF spokesperson Rubi del Mundo said, "The National Democratic Front in Southern Mindanao commends President Duterte for his unprecedented statement. No other Philippine president has ever publicly censured and taken US imperialism to task for its atrocious crimes against sovereign nations and peoples of the world."

"Now at this critical time of its decisive hegemonic pivot to Asia and China's challenge to its regional dominance, US imperialism's sham concern for human rights is being challenged with open hostility by a government it considers its reliable lackey," the statement said.

The statement said the US is worried about present developments in the Philippines, and the prospect of peace based on social justice.

The statement said, "It can lose its control of the country if the peace negotiations with the NDF, and its armed wing the New People’s Army (NPA) should translate to the socio-economic and sovereign interest of the Filipino people. Hence, it is in its best interest to exploit anti-Duterte forces to sabotage the peace negotiations with the NDFP and preempt any substantial talks with Moro revolutionary groups by fomenting anti-Moro sentiments with US-backed bombings and other terrorist attacks."

The NDF said calling US imperialism a "two-faced terrorist" is a "fundamental step," but not enough.

“It must also translate to junking colonial agreements for the benefit of the Filipino people. President Duterte and his government must abrogate the Mutual Defense Treaty and junk the Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement," explaining that these policies only continue to "position the Philippines as a willing pawn for US imperialism's wars of aggression."

Taliban chief asks followers to enforce Sharia
[TRIBUNE.PK] Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Haibatullah Akhundzada
...Deputy to Taliban supremo Mullah Akhtar Mansour...
has asked his followers to "enforce Sharia and good governance" in areas under their control.

"During the initial years of occupation, our obligation was to combat against the enemy but now as we have control over many areas of the country, it is time we should reap the fruit of the 15 year-long jihad and implement objectives of jihad," the Taliban leader said in his Eidul Azha message.

The Eid festival will be celebrated across Afghanistan today (Monday).

Explaining the group’s objectives, the Taliban chief listed implementation of the "Divine Sharia on the land of Allah; to establish justice; maintain stability and security; to protect frontiers and defend life, property, honour and all other God-given rights of the countrymen."

He urged Taliban officials of the military commission, governors, courts and commanders of the armed units to maintain security and justice, implementation of Sharia and efficient governance.

The Taliban chief talked about diplomatic efforts for a political process but at the same time pushed his fighters to continue what he called ’Jihad’.

"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has been continuing to make diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the issue of Afghanistan apart from its military approach; We have nominated the Political Office for this purpose as well as for maintenance of relations with the world and pertinent entities (for peaceful and diplomatic efforts)," he said.

Despite claims by the Taliban leaders’ to push for political process, the group has not yet shown willingness to join peace negotiations.

"In terms of the Southwest border, I just recently asked for them to focus on immigrants coming illegally from other hemispheres, from the Middle East and so forth, to detect them and block them before they even get to the homeland, working with governments in South America, Central America to prevent that from happening," Johnson told "Fox News Sunday."

"You're correct that we're seeing illegal migrants coming from Africa, coming from the Middle East," Johnson told host Chris Wallace. "And we're doubling down on preventing that happening before they even reach the Southwest border."

Troops find 200 lbs of bomb-making material in West Bank home
[IsraelTimes] Soldiers also uncover 2 pipe bombs, 2 Molotov cocktails; in separate raids, four Paleostinians

Israeli security forces uncovered over 200 pounds (about 100 kilograms) of bomb-making supplies in a Paleostinian village in the northern West Bank early Monday morning, the army said.

The discovery was made in a home in el-Far’a, northeast of Nablus, by troops during a joint operation between police, the Israel Defense Forces and the Border Police gendarmerie.

The army did not detail what the explosive precursor was, calling it "materials used to manufacture explosives."

Troops also uncovered 1.6 quarts (1.5 liters) of prepared kaboom, the IDF said in a statement.

The materiel was found in the home of a man who had already been incarcerated
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
by IDF troops, an army official told The Times of Israel.

In a separate raid, the army uncovered two pipe bombs and two Molotov cocktails in a home in Bayt Awa, a Paleostinian village in the southern West Bank. The owner of the home was detained by Israeli troops and taken for questioning, the official said. The explosives and bomb-making materials were confiscated by security forces, the army said.

Four other Paleostinians were arrested in unrelated raids for allegedly taking part in "popular terror and violent riots against civilians and security forces," the army said. One was arrested in Bayt Rima, one in Bita and two were picked up in Sa’ir. Upon their arrest they were handed over to the police and Shin Bet security service for questioning.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Fans bail on the 49ers
While the 49ers have been in the news a lot recently, it hasn't been for their rosy 2016 season prospects. Indeed, as the Chronicle reports, with sports pundits predicting a difficult year for the Santa Clara-based team, tonight's opening game against the Los Angeles Rams (yes, they moved back to LA) is notable for another reason: With season ticket holders desperately trying to sell their tickets and fans bailing in droves, it literally costs more to park at tonight's game than it does to watch it from the stands.

According to the Chron, opening night tickets were for sale on Ticketmaster this morning for the price of $40. Levi's Stadium parking passes were selling for $50.

With tonight the regular season debut for the team's new coach, The Lion King-loving Chip Kelly, one would perhaps expect healthy ticket sales. However, as fans continue to be less than enthused about the troubled franchise, the numbers don't exactly bear that postulation out.

In fact, with ABC 7 reporting that Blaine Gabbert is starting at quarterback tonight, it seems the best selling thing about the Niners is back-up QB Colin Kaepernick's jersey. According to SB Nation, his jersey sales jumped to number 1 in the NFL following his national anthem protest.

And yes, at $100, those too cost more than a 49ers opening night ticket.

#8  Not just '9er fans. Managed to get this life-long Chiefs fan to quit. Didn't put on the game last night. Think I'll watch Range 15 on Thursday.

Pretty stoked about my new found free-time. No scheduled Sunday. Don't have to keep facts in my back pocket for the water cooler. No more flippy talking heads trying to talk sports with actual athletes. No more athletes being brow beat by beta media males.

Not that I won't have a passive interest, probably always will, but I can improve my cistern system instead. Play catch with the kids while the weather is still good. You know, real life.

I did this last year - in one week, audit the time spent on a NFL game. Pre-game, watching the game, post-game, highlights both looked for and presented, time talking about it with people. Came to about six hours. That is, about a full day of work, not including any adult beverage issues (cost, health, lack of productivity).

It was the same wow moment when I realized how much time was lost during the work day by taking smoke breaks - ten minutes to smoke, getting dressed, getting to the smoke pile, getting back, getting back into mindset, 20 minutes every break, break every 90 minutes or so. Ridiculous.

Iraq
Human rights group condemns detention of Kurd wimmin
Rights group Amnesty International called on Monday for the release of a Yazidi woman detained by Iraqi Kurdish authorities for nearly two years following her escape from ISIS enslavement.

Bassema Darwish, a 34-year-old mother, has been held without trial since October 2014 on charges of cooperating with ISIS in the killing of three Kurdish Peshmerga fighters who stormed a house in northern Iraq where she was being held captive, Amnesty said in a report.

Kurdish forces backed by US air strikes seized the nearby town of Sinjar, home to the Yazidi minority, from ISIS about a year later. They have rolled back the ultra-hardline insurgents across the north, effectively annexing territory claimed by Baghdad to their autonomous region.

The Kurds have advocated on behalf of Yazidis, a religious sect that has faced killings, sexual slavery and other crimes at the hands of the extremist group since 2014.

UN investigators said in June those actions amounted to acts of genocide against the Kurdish-speaking Yazidis, whose beliefs combine elements of several ancient Middle Eastern religions. The Sunni Arab militants of ISIS view them as infidels.

“It is shocking that the Kurdistan Regional Government, which has consistently condemned ISIS atrocities against the Yazidi community, is holding a survivor of these abuses on terrorism charges and denying her basic legal rights,” said Philip Luther, Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa director.

Darwish, who is being detained at the Erbil Women and Juvenile Prison, gave birth to her daughter while in custody.

Iraqi Hezbollah Chief Calls Saudi Arabia, Israel Two Sides of Same Coin
Yeah, yeah. Whatever, dude.
[ALMASDARNEWS] The secretary General of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement, a major Shiite resistance group, slammed Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
for its hostile policies against some Moslem nations, saying that the Riyadh and Tel Aviv regimes are "two sides of the same of coin".

"Unfortunately, Kaaba (most sacred Moslem site in the world) is now occupied by the Wahhabi and ignorant Saudi regime, as the holy Quds (Jerusalem) is under the occupation of the Zionist regime of Israel," Sheikh Akram al-Kaabi said, addressing worshippers at the Eid al-Adha prayers in Tehran on Monday.

"These two regimes are two sides of the same coin", the holy man said, adding, "The Saudi Wahhabi regime was founded with the direct support of British occupiers and built its principles on the foundations of killing, oppression and desecration of Islamic sanctities, especially (holy sites of) al-Baqi’ and Karbala."

He further denounced a move by Riyadh to prevent Iranians from participating Hajj rituals this year, saying that now the Saudi regime has made such a move, it is upon Moslem nations to liberate the Kaaba from the Wahhabi regime and let all Islamic countries manage Hajj rituals as it is a duty for Moslems’ to liberate Paleostine from Israel.

He made the remarks on the occasion of the first anniversary of the deadly crush of people during the last year’s Hajj rituals in Mina, near the Saudi Arabia's holy city of Mecca, which claimed the lives of over 7,000 pilgrims, including 465 Iranians.

The incident marked the worst ever tragedy during Hajj.

In a message on the occasion earlier last week, Fearless Leader of the Islamic Revolution
...Iran's doddering head theocrat...
Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei strongly slammed "murderous" Saudi rulers for refusing to allow an international probe into last year’s deadly Mina crush, urging Moslems to "correctly understand their (Saudis’) blasphemous, faithless, dependent and materialistic nature".

"Several thousand families from different countries lost their loved ones and their nations were bereaved. From the Islamic Theocratic Republic, close to five hundred people were among the deaders. The hearts of their families are still broken and bereaved and our people remain grief-stricken and angry," the Leader said.

"Instead of apology and remorse and judicial prosecution of those who were directly at fault in that horrifying event, Saudi rulers- with utmost shamelessness and insolence- refused to allow the formation of an international Islamic fact-finding committee."

Ayatollah Khamenei further stressed, "The world of Islam, including Moslem governments and peoples, must familiarize themselves with the Saudi rulers and correctly understand their blasphemous, faithless, dependent and materialistic nature. They must not let those rulers escape responsibility for the crimes they have caused throughout the world of Islam."

According to Hezbollah's media wing, their forces, alongside the Syrian Arab Army, destroyed a building filled with Islamic State Lions of Islam inside the Jaroud Jarajeer village of Ma'ber Abu Jadeej.

Hezbollah's media wing added that the attack resulted in the death of at least five Islamic State Lions of Islam on Monday morning.

The village of Ma'ber Abu Jadeej is under the control of the Islamic State; however, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah have recently increased their presence in this area to combat the terrorist groups traveling back-and-forth across the Lebanese-Syrian border.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan (MoFA) in a statement said Mr. Hashemi met with Hajizada today to sought clarification regarding the viral photos which purportedly shows some migrants colonists put on display inside the cages.

Hillary Clinton's Campaign Needs To Hire Better Liars
[The Federalist] Hillary Clinton’s campaign has a problem. A truth problem, to be specific. No, not the problem of being completely incapable of ever telling the truth, although that is a problem. The truth problem I’m talking about is the Clinton campaign’s inability to tell believable lies.

"But why not just ask the Clinton campaign to tell the truth?" you might ask. "Wouldn’t that be easier?"

Maybe. But these are the Clintons. If you’re a Clinton, you lie. It’s what you do. Expecting them to not lie is a fool’s errand. But given the amount of time the Clintons have spent in politics lying to the public‐somewhere in the neighborhood of three decades‐they really ought to be better at it by now.

For those who’ve been living under a rock, people have been asking questions about the aging Democratic nominee’s health ever since a potentially life-threatening blood clot near her brain was discovered after the former Secretary of State suffered a serious concussion that sidelined her for several weeks. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Clinton blamed that concussion for her alleged inability to recall details about her lawless e-mail server scheme.

Here are a few headlines that captured the rough tenor of coverage of Hillary’s health woes over the past few weeks:

CNN (Aug. 24, 2016): Clinton’s health is fine, but what about Trump?
New York Post (Sept. 4, 2016): Dr. Drew loses show after discussing Hillary’s health
Washington Post (Sept. 6, 2016): Can we just stop talking about Hillary Clinton’s health now?
Sarah Silverman (Sept. 8, 2016): "I think anyone bringing up her health is a f***ing a**hole"

The wheels officially came off the bus on Sunday when Hillary Clinton seized up and passed out on camera. Suddenly, asking questions about her health no longer indicted you as an un-person who should be sent off to the re-education camps.

#1  The quality of their liars doesn't matter.

She could kill a puppy, a kitten, and a newborn on live television. Immediately after doing so at least 90 percent of the "professional media" would scramble to explain what "provoked" her to do so (and why we should be ok with it). And 45% of the voters would immediately write it off as "At least she didn't insult anyone like Trump likes to do".

People who actually believe in right and wrong have to step up. Conversations that are "uncomfortable" have to take place. Hillary isn't "a woman who might be the first woman president". Instead, she's a sack of evil shit that has to be denounced at every turn.

#4  The quality of the lies is key.

If she had pneumonia and they claimed the flu instead of deny, deny, deny they would have gotten sympathy and a free pass for a weekend or more of rest.

If she has something worse than pneumonia you claim pneumonia because people know it is serious when you are old but goes away (or the patient does) so if she survives it wouldn't effect her Presidency.

I think the quality of her lies is so poor because the sycophants in the media copy/paste even the most insane lies with a smile. They have done her a disservice by letting her natural Clinton lying muscles go flabby.

Brits supply Kurds in fight against ISIS
ERBIL – The UK Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon on Monday said in the House of Commons that the United Kingdom backs the Kurdish Peshmerga forces with heavy weapons to fight militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in northern Iraq.

UK MP Jack Lopresti asked the Secretary of State why it took a year for the UK to supply ammunition and heavy weapons to the Peshmerga forces in Iraqi Kurdistan.

“Can he assure the House that such delays will never happen again, and that we are doing everything that we possibly can to help the Peshmerga in their fight against Daesh?” he asked, using another acronym for ISIS.

“We have supplied… not only heavy machine guns to the Peshmerga but ammunition for those heavy machine guns,” UK Defence Minister Fallon said.

“I announced earlier in the summer a fresh gift from us of ammunition for those heavy machine guns, and that ammunition has now arrived and is being used,” he added.

Moreover, the UK Defence Secretary said the fight against ISIS is making progress in both Syria and Iraq.

“With coalition support, Iraqi forces have freed Fallujah and, as part of preparatory operations for retaking Mosul, have liberated Qayyarah town,” he said.

“The Syrian Democratic Forces have taken Manbij and Turkish-backed opposition forces have taken Jarabulus and al-Rai, effectively denying Daesh its last border crossings into Turkey,” Fallon added.

The UK minister further said that Russia is “not a partner” in the fight against ISIS.

“The Russian military activity in Syria has supported the Assad regime, a regime that bombs, tortures and starves its own people,” Fallon said.

“While we welcome the latest ceasefire from tonight, it is Russia that must make it work by stopping Assad attacking Syrian civilians and moderate opposition groups, and by helping to get humanitarian aid into Aleppo and other cities that have been starved of food,” he concluded.

Turks control 845 square kms in Syria
REYHANLI – Turkey’s military forces have captured 845 km² of territory in northern Syria after starting military operations against the Islamic State (ISIS) and the Kurdish forces in Syria’s Aleppo province, officials said.

On August 24, 2016, the Turkish army and allied Syrian rebels launched a military campaign in northern Syria under the banner of “Euphrates Shield”.

Turkey and allies first captured the city of Jarablus from ISIS without a fight, according to local sources. Then the Turkish army and allied rebels headed to other areas of Aleppo’s northern countryside and took over the town of al-Rae and a number of nearby villages. Backed by the US coalition, Turkey has also forced the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to withdraw to the eastern bank of the Euphrates river, after the SDF expelled ISIS militants from the jihadi border pocket of Manbij.

The Turkish central command said on Monday that their forces have captured 845 square kilometres of territory in northern Syria.

“The progress comes within the framework of our anti-terrorism campaign to secure Turkey’s southern border,” it said, adding that the Turkish army and Turkey-backed rebels have destroyed 516 ISIS positions within 20 days.

However, activists said that the Turkish forces have captured areas from ISIS without a fight.

“Turkey took over Jarablus city within hours, and we’ve seen no resistance from ISIS fighters there,” local media activist Sadoun Hamdan told ARA News.

“When the Turkish forces advanced towards al-Rae town north of Aleppo, sporadic clashes took place for a couple of hours and then Turkey announced the liberation of the area from ‘terrorists’,” Hamdan said. “Whereas the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by coalition airstrikes, needed more than two months to liberate Manbij from ISIS. This has raised suspicions over what exactly Turkey means by ‘terrorists’.”

In the meantime, the Kurdish military leadership in northern Syria accused Turkey of bombing SDF positions instead of fighting ISIS.

Taiz- The Saudi-led Arab Coalition air campaign to save Yemen launched a series of tactical raids on Sunday against reinforcement and artillery warehouses belonging to Houthi and allied coup militias.

The operation was staged in Taiz -Yemen’s third largest city- and cost grave losses to Houthi insurgents and allies found in fighters supporting ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Eye witnesses told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the coalition’s airplanes zeroed in on militant strongholds located in the Hayfan District, south of Taiz, in addition to Houthi set ups and centers in al-Akbosh village.

Clashes pitting pro-legitimacy forces (the national army and the popular resistance) and coup militias composed largely of Houthis and pro-Saleh fighters renewed across the western front, as militia forces attempt to retake lost land gained by pro-government forces.

In a desperate move to restore lost stations, insurgency militias continue to send in for military reinforcements to arrive at points still under insurgency hold, bolstering their stance.

As they fear losing further influence, most locations coup militias attempt to preserve hold over are situated around Taiz.

Popular Resistance sources located in Taiz told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that fierce clashes being launched by Houthi militants are chiefly inspired by vengeance, and have resorted to violence in which coup fighters attack and shell civilian locations when rendered incapacitated.

In compensation to insurgency violence, official National Army Spokesperson in Taiz Col. Mansour al Hassani announced that a YER 100,000 reimbursement for each family who had lost a martyr in Taiz. The endowment will be dispensed by the Yemeni National Army– all relatives can cash in the donation at the closest accredited agency.

Humanitarian aid and relief coalition in Taiz announced delivering medical supplies donated by Kuwait to hospitals in Taiz.

Attending physician Dr. Imad al-Mojahed said that the aid delivered to Taiz’ Al-Suweidi Hospital for children is worth YER 7.5 million in medical aid, which comes at a time that Taiz hospitals suffer dire humanitarian conditions caused by the ongoing war and the over a year old Houthi-imposed siege.

Pencilneck vows to retake Syria from 'terrorists'
Syrian President Bashar Al Assad vowed on Monday that his government would take back land from "terrorists" and rebuild the country in remarks made just hours before the start of a cease-fire brokered by the US and Russia.

Assad spoke during a rare public appearance that included attending prayers for the Muslim holiday of Eid Al Adha in the Damascus suburb of Daraya, which had surrendered last month and reverted to government control after a four-year siege.

But in the build-up to the start of the truce at sunset, government forces and their allies bombed opposition areas in the country's north, while Al Qaeda-linked militants pushed on with an offensive in southern Syria.

In Geneva, the UN envoy for Syria said his office would monitor the start of the cease-fire "carefully, before making any hurried comments." Staffan de Mistura said in a text message to The Associated Press on Monday that no statement from his office about the truce was expected before the following afternoon.

The cease-fire deal, hammered out between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Geneva on Saturday, was backed by Assad's government. But it has received mixed messages of commitment from various rebel factions.

It allows the Syrian government to continue to strike at Daesh and Al Qaeda-linked militants with the Jabhat Fatah Al Sham group, earlier known as the Nusra Front, until the US and Russia take over the task in one week's time.

Under the terms of the agreement, the rebels and the Syrian government are expected to stop attacking one another. Assad's key allies have also endorsed the deal.

But that scenario is complicated by the fact that Jabhat Fatah Al Sham remains intertwined with several other groups fighting on the ground.

One of the more immediate goals of the Kerry-Lavrov agreement is to allow the UN to establish aid corridors into Aleppo, the contested northern Syrian city. Over 2,000 people have been killed in fighting over the past 40 days in the city, including 700 civilians and 160 children, according to a Syrian human rights group.

On Saturday, presumed Russian or government airstrikes on rebel-held Idlib and Aleppo provinces killed over 90 civilians, including 13 children in an attack on a marketplace in Idlib, according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

In the aftermath, rebels and opposition activists were asking on Sunday whether the government's side could be trusted.

YPG agree to Syria ceasefire, ‘optimistic’ it will focus fight on ISIS
[RUDAW.NET] The Kurdish forces in northern Syria accept the ceasefire negotiated by the US and Russia and view it as a "positive step," their command confirmed in a statement on Monday.

"We are optimistic with this deal we will be able to cooperate in the fight against the terror of ISIS (ISIS), also hoping it will prepare the base for political transition to start according to the Security Council resolution 2254," reads a statement published by the General Command of the People’s Defense Units (YPG), also known as the People’s Protection Units.

They called on all parties involved in the conflict to join the ceasefire and take steps towards a political transition to end the conflict.

"As the People’s Defense Units, we shall endure and strengthen our struggle against terrorist groups, to help bring an end to the continued suffering of all Syrians, to protect the people of areas that have been freed and those that will be liberated. We believe protecting civilians will establish peace in the region and end The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
’s occupation of Syrian soil."

A ceasefire negotiated by Russia and the US comes into effect on Monday. It has been welcomed by Damascus, the High Negotiations Committee (HNC) of a coalition of Syrian opposition groups, Turkey, and the UN.

Many, however, have expressed doubt that the agreement will hold, citing violations of previous truces.

Bassma Kodmani, an HNC spokesperson, expressed concern
...meaning the brow was mildly wrinkled, the eyebrows drawn slightly together, and a thoughtful expression assumed, not that anything was actually done or indeed that any thought was actually expended...
that the Syrian army would comply with the truce, saying that Russia’s influence over Damascus "was the only way to get the regime to comply."

Rebel groups have accused Damascus of violating previous ceasefires.

Roosun MBT to enter service in 2019
My Russian is a bit rusty, but I think Armata means "Missile Bait"
[DefenceBlog] Russia’s Defense Ministry will receive the first batch of 70 Armata main battle tanks in 2019, that was reported by TASS. Earlier it was reported that the Russian Defense Ministry has signed an order for a pilot batch of more than 100 state of the art T-14 “Armata” tanks.

The first production batch should go on the 1st Guards Tank Army, which is stationed in western Russia.

“State tests will be completed next year, they will be put into service afterward,” Alexander Shevchenko, head of the ministry’s main vehicles and armor department, told RIA Novosti.

The program to supply the Russian army with T-14s was initially planned to last until 2020, but, according to Uralvagonzavod chief Oleg Sienko, it is now due to be extended until 2025.

The Russian military estimates that it will need 2,300 of the state of the art tanks.

The T-14 was revealed for the first time on April 29th of 2015 at a rehearsal for the Victory Day parade in Moscow, but its turret was masked then. The official presentation was made on May 9th during the actual V-Day parade.

Congress Suspects Obama Admin Delivered Billions in Cash to Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps
[Free Beacon] New admissions by the Obama administration that American officials physically handed some $1.7 billion in cash to the Iranian government are fueling a congressional investigation into still-hidden details surrounding the deal, according to congressional sources and previously unreported-on letters seen by the Washington Free Beacon.

Lawmakers now suspect the Obama administration may have dealt with members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and officials from its intelligence ministry when carrying out the cash exchange, which coincided with the release by Iran of several U.S. hostages.

The Obama administration recently disclosed to Congress that U.S. officials participated in the handoff of at least $400 million to Iranian officials, but has withheld key details about which parts of the Iranian government assumed control of the cash, according to discussions with multiple sources familiar with ongoing congressional investigation.

Multiple sources familiar with the matter told the Free Beacon it is possible IRGC members participated in the exchange, raising new questions about the Obama administration’s dealings with an organization directly responsible for facilitating terrorism and killing U.S. citizens.

"On January 17, Treasury disbursed the payment to an official from the Central Bank of Iran, for transfer to Tehran," according to a letter from the Treasury Department to Congress. "The funds were under U.S. Government control until their disbursement pursuant to the settlement."

The mind-blowing stupidity of Wells Fargo
[THEWEEK] Wells Fargo is in hot water. U.S. regulators announced Thursday that the bank has to pay $2.5 million in customer refunds and $185 million in legal fees. It's comeuppance for some truly breathtaking stupidity on the bank's part.

The problem began with what's called "cross-selling." Your average big corporation has a lot of customers, but also a lot of different products and services. Wells Fargo, for instance, is one of the biggest banks in the country, and its offerings run the gamut from credit and debit cards, to online banking, to savings and checking accounts and more. Usually, most of a company's customers only use one or two of those products and services. But since it's already gone to the trouble to acquire those customers, it presumably behooves Wells Fargo and other big firms to get their employees to hawk the rest of their products and services to those customers as well.

That's cross-selling. Which seems straightforward enough. But it turns out, as a business model, cross-selling can be tricky. Doing it properly requires the right strategy, metrics, and so forth. Wells Fargo did not do cross-selling properly.

First off, the bank used a crude metric -- simply the average number of products sold to each customer. Then it imposed strict cross-selling quotas on employees that arguably went way beyond what was reasonably possible.

Next, as the L.A. Times' E. Scott Reckard found in 2013, Wells Fargo reportedly treated its employees horribly. "Managers constantly hound, berate, demean, and threaten employees to meet these unreachable quotas," said a Los Angeles city attorney investigation sparked by the Times' report.
Welcome to banking and retail.
Managers themselves were reportedly berated in front of coworkers if they fell short. Plenty of people put in extra hours, and then had to sue Wells Fargo when they weren't paid overtime.

"When I worked at Wells Fargo, I faced the threat of being fired if I didn’t meet their unreasonable sales quotes every day," one former employee said in a statement. "We were constantly told we would end up working for McDonald's" revealed another.

Rebels launch new offensive in Golan Heights as ceasefire begins
[ALMASDARNEWS] Minutes after the commencement of the nationwide ceasefire, the Salafist tough guys launched a new offensive in the Golan Heights region of the al-Quneitra.

Led by Jabhat Fateh al-Sham
...formerly al-Nusra, the current false nose and mustache of al-Qaeda in the Levant...
and Harakat Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
, the Salafist tough guys stormed the 4th Battalion Base (Tal Taranjeh) and Tuloul al-Hamr in the Golan Heights; this resulted in an intense confrontation with the Syrian Arab Army's 90th Brigade.

The Syrian Arab Army repelled the first large-scale offensive by the Salafist tough guys in the Golan Heights this past weekend; however, this attack is much larger than the previous one.

While no gains have been reported thus far, the Salafist tough guys have made it clear that they are disregarding the ceasefire agreement.

Assad defiant as Syrian cease-fire begins
[USATODAY] The Syrian army announced Monday it began implementing a brokered cease-fire that remained clouded in doubt, with one rebel group not committing to the plan and Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Despoiler of Deraa...
vowing to "retake every area from the terrorists."

Assad spoke after prayers marking the Moslem holiday Eid al-Adha in the battered city of Daraya, which the government recently retook from rebel forces, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported. The once-bustling city outside Damascus is now virtually abandoned, with rebel fighters allowed to retreat and civilians evacuated by the government.

"By coming to this area, (we) send a message that the Syrian state is determined to retake every area from the terrorists," Assad said, adding that his government is committed to "freedom that starts with restoring security and safety, goes through reconstruction and ends with the independent national decision."

Assad and his allies Russia and Iran have endorsed the cease-fire, which began at sundown in Damascus, or around noon ET.

Trying again: Gaza-bound 'women's flotilla' setting sail from Barcelona
This is the fourth or fifth try -- does anyone beyond the participants even notice anymore?
[Jpost] The small fleet of 2 vessels is slated to carry thirty women from various nations, including Israel, with the aim of breaching Israel's naval blockade of the Strip.

Despite the recent reconciliation of ties between Israel and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
, it appears that the controversial Gazoo-bound flotilla movement has yet to subside.

An activist flotilla sailing under the banner "Mujeres Rumbo a Gazoo" (Women's Boat to Gazoo) was set to anchor off from Barcelona on Wednesday evening toward the Gazoo Strip.

The small fleet of two vessels was slated to carry thirty women from various nations, including Israel, with the aim of breaching and boycotting Israel's naval blockade of the coastal Paleostinian enclave.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shouting match, a new, even louder, voice was to be heard...
Israel was prepared to thwart the flotilla from illegally infringing on the maritime blockade of Gazoo, which was established in 2007 following the terrorist group Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,'s takeover of the Strip.

A diplomatic source on Sunday told The Jerusalem Post's Hebrew sister publication Ma'ariv that the Foreign Ministry was doing its utmost to deal with the matter. The source added that the ministry's efforts sought to minimize possible diplomatic and media harm caused by the flotilla.

Israel and Egypt have also implemented a ground and aerial blockade of Gazoo to thwart weapons and rocket materials from reaching the hands of terrorist entities.

With the capacity to haul 15 passengers each, the Amal (Hope) and the Zaytouna (Olive) sail boats were expected to dock at various ports on their journey across the Mediterranean. After setting sail from Barcelona following two days of anti-Israel events and lectures, the boats were slated to first stop in Corsica.

Among the pro-Paleostinian activists due to board the vessels were European Parliament member Malin Bjork from Sweden, retired US army colonel Ann Wright and doctor Fouzia Hassan from Malaysia.

Among the Israeli nationals expected to take part in the flotilla was the media spokeswoman for controversial Arab-Israeli MK Haneen Zoabi (Joint List), who was on the 2010 Turkish Mavi Marmara flotilla.

In June, Israel and Turkey mended a six-year rift sparked by the Mavi Marmara incident, in which 10 Turkish citizens were killed attacking Israeli commandos.

Israel fears such flotillas could be used to transport materials to Gazoo that could be used by forces of Evil to manufacture weapons and murderous Moslem infrastructure.

Last June, the Israeli Navy intercepted a Swedish flotilla boat off the coast of Gazoo without incident and towed the vessel into the Ashdod Port.

Feel-Good Story Of The Day: Sniper Takes Out ISIS Executioner From A Mile Away
A sharpshooter killed a top ISIS executioner and three other jihadists with a single bullet from nearly a mile away -- just seconds before the fiend was set to burn 12 hostages alive with a flamethrower, according to a new report.
Good timing can made the difference between a horrible tragedy and great comedy.
The British Special Air Service marksman turned one of the most hated terrorists in Syria into a fireball by using a Barett .50-caliber rifle to strike a fuel tank affixed to the jihadi’s back, the UK’s Daily Star reported Sunday.
Great job saving money on ammo. Took out three bad guys and their equipment. And probably scored some major psych-ops points as well.
The pack exploded, killing the sadistic terrorist and three of his flunkies, who were supposed to film the execution, last month, the paper said.
Here, film this instead.
The ISIS butcher -- who reportedly delighted in burning hostages alive -- had been on a US "kill list" for several months, sources told the paper, which did not identify the sniper or the executioner.
Wow. 0bean is really speeding up his decision-making cycle towards the end of his reign.
He and his band of wicked men had been traveling around ISIS-held compounds in Syria slaughtering civilians labeled as spies.

Their prisoners were tied to stakes or thrown in cages before being torched by the executioner, according to the report.

ISIS started using flamethrowers after the torture method was popularized in North Korea.

The ISIS killer was so feared that his victims would beg to be shot rather than be set on fire.

Just before the sniper rescue operation outside of Raqqa, Syria, "the SAS team moved into an overwatch position above a village where they were told the execution was going to take place," a source told the Star.

"Up to 12 civilians were going to be murdered -- eight men and four women.

"The executioner gave some sort of rambling speech . . . then when he finished, the SAS sniper opened fire," the source said.

The captives were then rescued by British and US special forces.

The rescue comes just months after another SAS sniper killed two ISIS car bombers as they drove toward Libya. The sniper’s bullet went through the driver’s skull and into the passenger’s neck, taking both out.
Musta used a Barett for that as well seeing as no other sniper's rifle could go through that much bone.

Bill Maher Jokes About Hinckley Assassinating Trump Since Polls Are Tight
[NEWSBUSTERS.ORG] Politico touted as "HOT AUDIO" HBO star Bill Maher making jokes about Donald Trump being assassinated. Well, it was sort of a joke. It had that Maher edge ‐ as in, "seriously, shouldn’t we shoot Trump before he gets elected?" Judging from the giddy reaction from Maher-loving liberals, could we call it "bloodlust"?

Maher was doing a standup comedy set at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, and he admitted, "I’m nervous. And I saw the headline today -- "Race tightening. Trump ahead in Ohio and Florida." If this race is even the week before the election, somebody is going to have to go out there..."

He paused for effect, then said in a low, growly voice: "Why do you think they let Hinckley out?"

Donald Trump’s Unusual Restraint as Hillary Clinton Campaign Stumbles
[BLOGS.WSJ] The past three days have been tough ones for Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as America's Blond Eminence and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another John Quincy Adams ...
. They also may have produced the best we’ve seen from Donald Trump.

After it was reported that Mrs. Clinton had criticized "half" of Trump supporters as "the basket of deplorables," Mr. Trump did not lash out with the sort of fiery
...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob...
name-calling to which voters have become accustomed from him. Instead, he tweeted that "Hillary Clinton was SO INSULTING to my supporters, millions of amazing, hard working people" and that "While Hillary said horrible things about my supporters, and while many of her supporters will never vote for me, I still respect them all."

Typically, Mr. Trump’s words and actions reflect his go-for-the-jugular mentality. But in recent days he has shown what is for him remarkable restraint. After Hillary Clinton left a Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony in Lower Manhattan early on Sunday, a bystander’s video showing her needing assistance to get into her vehicle went viral. Her campaign did not speak about what had happened for more than an hour and initially said only that she had become overheated and dehydrated. Later, it disclosed that Mrs. Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. It would have been easy for Mr. Trump to lash out, raising the conspiracy theories about Mrs. Clinton’s health that had taken on new life this summer.

Instead, Mr. Trump has taken the high road. Asked about Mrs. Clinton’s health Monday morning, Mr. Trump said, "I hope she gets well, and gets back on the trail, and we’ll be seeing her at the debate."

#8  Trump's restraint is not "unusual" if one recognizes that his behavior is classically Jacksonian. Per Walter Russel Mead, Jacksonians religiously follow a "Tit for Tat" strategy: fight honorably in response to honorable fighting, and you will be rewarded with honorable behavior, fight despicably, and expect to pay dearly.

What happened to Shrillary was unfortunate, but it was NOT an attack on Trump, so he did not "attack". Shrillary's "Deplorable" comment was not directed at Trump, but at his followers, so he responds in a way different than if he would be attacked personally.

We desperately need a Jacksonian president at this time, and I see this as proof that, once sworn in, he'll live up to the responsibilities inherent in the Office and do what it takes to defend us, and allow our military to respond to any and all aggressions against us in a manner that would deter others in a satisfying way.

As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
two years after he came to power.

The skirmish earlier this month in the capital, sparked by a row over plans to re-bury a former Tajik king, was relatively minor by Afghan standards, but also a rare open display of hostility between ethnic groups that often simmers under the surface yet defines decades of conflict.

At the same time, the Taliban have stepped up operations only weeks before a major conference of international donors to Afghanistan in Brussels.

Last Thursday, the bully boy movement's fighters appeared to walk right into the center of Tarin Kot, capital of the central province of Uruzgan, and though the faceless myrmidons were pushed back, residents say it is now a ghost town of empty roads and shuttered shops.

The fighting in Uruzgan and other provinces including Helmand
...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan...
in the south and Kunduz in the north, plus a string of attacks in Kabul in the last few months, provide stark evidence of the Western-backed government's inability to guarantee security, 15 years after the fall of the Taliban.

and Afghan security officials are on alert for more attacks after the Eid holiday this week.

So far, opposition groups have avoided calling openly for Ghani to go, wary of creating a power vacuum at a time when the Taliban insurgency is gaining in intensity.

But this month is the deadline by which the government was to have introduced a new structure following the disputed election of 2014, which forced Ghani to divide power with his rival, Abdullah Abdullah
... the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against Karzai. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun...
, in an awkward "unity" administration.

The deadline is set to expire with none of those changes in place, which experts say undermines Ghani's legitimacy at a time when the Afghan public is far from happy with his performance.

"It's a manageable situation, but the risk of it getting out of hand becomes acute around September," said Scott Worden, director of Afghanistan and Central Asia Programs at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington.

Ghani has the support of the United States, Afghanistan's key ally; Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry

said in April that Washington does not consider the deadline binding and expects the government to serve a full five-year term.

Whether it lasts that long may depend on how Ghani gets on with his chief executive Abdullah, who recently accused the president of being unwilling to listen to his ministers and unfit to hold office.

Senior aides say they have ironed out their differences after a series of meetings, and government unity is undamaged.

"There's an environment of better understanding and agreement," said government spoEthnic tensions, Taliban attacks pose traps for Afghan leaderkesman Shahhussain Murtazawi. "What you see in the media doesn't reflect reality."

Caribbean-Latin America
Mexico senator proposes taking back land from the US if Donald Trump becomes president
You could call it tit-for-tat with a dash of Mexican drama.

Mexico is to consider a proposal to revoke its treaties with the US, including the 1848 agreement that transferred half its territory to Washington if Donald Trump is elected and tries to make the US's southern neighbour pay for a border wall.

A Mexican senator is due on Tuesday to propose legislation that would empower the government to retaliate of Mr Trump inflicts expropriations or economic losses on his country to make it pay for a wall along the 2,000 mile border.

Reuters said that Armando Rios Piter, an opposition senator for the centre-left Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), hoped his initiative would protect Mexicans, and highlight the risks of targeting them economically.

"In cases where the property/assets of (our) fellow citizens or companies are affected by a foreign government, as Donald Trump has threatened, the Mexican government should proportionally expropriate assets and properties of foreigners from that countryon our territory," says his proposal.

Total remittances to Mexico from abroad ‐ most of which come from the United States ‐ were worth nearly $25bn (£18.6bn) last year, according to the central bank. Bilateral trade between the two nations is worth about half a trillion dollars a year.

Mr Trump stormed to victory in the Republican primary with strident and frequently offensive comments about migrants from Mexico and other Central American countries. He vowed to build a wall, force Mexico to pay for it, and deport up to 11 million undocumented migrants.

Hekmatyar, a veteran of the Afghan jihad against the Soviet military, has been accused by rights campaigners of widespread abuses, particularly during the civil war of the early 1990s, when he briefly served as prime minister.

"On our part, we have already finalised work," a Hizb spokesperson told The Express Tribune on Sunday. "We were expecting an announcement regarding the reconciliation agreement on Saturday evening."

Some reports suggest that opposition from Dr Abdullah is causing the delay, the front man added. "Talks between President Ghani and Dr Abdullah are in progress. And we hope the differences will be sorted out."

Under the draft, members of Hizb-e-Islami would be offered a general amnesty, similar to the one offered in 2007 to warlords accused of war crimes. The group would not join the government but would be recognised as a political party and be involved in major political decisions.

Brown signs legislation granting expanded overtime pay to farmworkers
[LATIMES] With little fanfare or signing message, Gov. Jerry Governor Moonbeam Brown
... those who ignore history are bound to repeat it ...
on Monday signed historic legislation that will expand overtime pay for Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, farmworkers.

"We are letting the signature speak for itself," said a spokesperson for Brown.

AB 1066, authored by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez (D-San Diego), calls for a phase-in of new overtime rules over four years, beginning in 2019.

It will lower the current 10-hour-day threshold for overtime by half an hour each year until it reaches the standard eight-hour day by 2022. It also will phase in a 40-hour standard workweek for the first time. The governor will be able to suspend any part of the process for a year depending on economic conditions.

The measure comes after intense showdowns on the floor of the Assembly, where a similar proposal died in June, a few votes short of the majority it needed to pass.

The United Farm Workers of America, which sponsored the bill, says it addresses an injustice first inflicted on farmworkers nearly eight decades ago. In a critique similar to those used by opponents of increasing the minimum wage, opponents argued it could backfire on farmworkers, saddling farmers and growers with higher costs and forcing them to limit work hours and hire more employees.

7 Kurd Kommies killed in southeast Turkey
Seven PKK terrorists were killed in airstrikes Monday in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari, the military said, AA reported. Three targets in Yuksekova district were destroyed between 12.30 p.m. and 1.00 p.m. local time (0930 and 1000GMT), the Turkish General Staff said in a statement.

Turkish jets have been carrying out strikes on PKK positions in Turkey and northern Iraq since the group -- considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign in July last year.

Since then, more than 600 security personnel and many civilians, including women and children, have been martyred and around 7,000 PKK terrorists killed.

Russian Aerospace Forces To Continue Strike Terrorist Targets In Syria DESPITE CEASEFIRE
[SOUTHFRONT.ORG] The nationwide ceasefire in Syria concluded by Russia and the United States [SF editor: If there is no war between Russia and the United States in Syria, why are they main sides of the deal?] began at 16:00 GMT.

Chief of the Russian General Staff’s Main Operational Directorate Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoy:

"In line with the [Russia-US] agreements, the ceasefire regime on the whole territory of the Syrian Arab Republic comes into force on Monday at 19:00 pm Moscow time [16:00 GMT]."RUSSIAN AEROSPACE FORCES TO CONTINUE STRIKE TERRORIST TARGETS IN SYRIA DESPITE CEASEFIRE
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Moscow and Washington are setting up a joint center to designate terrorist targets in Syria and the Russian Aerospace Forces will continue to strike terrorist targets.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces will continue Arclight airstrikes against terrorist targets in Syria. The Russian and US sides create a joint center that will help coordinate strikes by Russian and US-led coalition’s aircraft to designate targets,"Rudskoy said.
Rudskoy said that the fight against Lions of Islam (ISIS, Jabhat Al-Nusra, etc) "will continue regardless of any changes of names."

The Syrian government has also agreed to support the ceasefire and halt military operations against the so-called "opposition."

The Russian Defense Ministry expects all US-backed myrmidon groups to abide by the ceasefire deal. It also called Turkish-backed myrmidon groups to halt military operations against the Kurdish YPG in northern Syria.

However,
some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go...
the de-facto implication of the deal looks like significant problem. Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...
, one of the biggest US-backed "moderate" groups, has already rejected the ceasefire. Its allies will likely follow the decision.

Arabia
Gulf states hit back at 9/11 Saudi lawsuit legislation
Gulf Cooperation Council countries expressed "deep concern" on Monday over a bill passed by the US Congress that would allow families of September 11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia over the attacks.
Okay, you expressed your concerns. Now shaddup or we'll turn you over to the Iranians...
The head of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Abdullatif Al Zayani, said in a statement that the legislation runs against the principles of international law and sets a dangerous precedent for foreign relations.

The US House of Representatives approved the legislation last Friday, following earlier passage by the Senate. The White House has signaled President Barack Obama would veto the proposed law over concerns that it could open the US up to similar lawsuits from other countries.

The United Arab Emirates issued its own statement echoing the Gulf bloc's concerns on Monday.

"This law is not equal with the foundations and principles of relations among states, and represents a clear violation given its negative repercussions and dangerous precedents," said Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

In its own statement, Qatar said the 9/11 legislation "violates international law, particularly the principle of sovereign equality between states."

Yemeni forces score direct missile strike on Saudi military
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Yemeni Army's "Rocket Battalion" scored a direct hit on a Saudi Army camp on Monday, causing severe damage to the military installation.

According to the Yemeni Republican Guard, the Rocket Battalion fired a Qahir-1 ballistic missile at the Khaled bin 'Abdel-'Aziz Army Base in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, killing several members of the Saudi Armed Forces in the process.

This ballistic missile strike was conducted by the Yemeni Army in response to the Saudi Air Force's merciless Arclight airstrikes over the Arhab Region of the Sanaa Governorate on Sunday.

As many as 30 non-combatants were killed as a result of the Saudi Arclight airstrikes over the Sanaa Governorate on Sunday.

Soddys down Houthi missile

[AlArabiya] The Saudi-led coalition battling militias in Yemen said Monday it shot down a missile fired by the insurgents towards an airbase in southern Saudi Arabia.

The missile was the latest aimed at the kingdom since the coalition began air raids to support Yemen's internationally-backed government in March last year. Khamis Mushait air base, in Saudi Arabia's southwest, has been at the forefront of the coalition bombing campaign against Houthi militias and their allies.

Saudi Arabia has deployed Patriot missile batteries to counter tactical ballistic missiles fired occasionally from Yemen during the war.

Fighting in Yemen has intensified since the collapse of UN-backed peace talks in Kuwait on August 6. Rebels have also fired harder-to-detect Katyusha rockets, particularly into the Saudi border city of Najran.

More than 100 civilians and soldiers have died in strikes and skirmishes along the frontier.

Car bomb attack on Turkey ruling party wounds 48
[IsraelTimes] Officials blame PKK for blast outside of Justice and Development Party headquarters in Van, on first day of Eid
Of course they do. They might even be right.
A boom-mobile went kaboom! Monday outside the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) headquarters in the eastern Turkish city of Van, wounding 48 people including two coppers, local authorities said.

Turkish officials blamed the attack on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has waged a three-decade insurgency against the Turkish state and is considered a terrorist group by Ankara and its Western allies.

The attack took place near a police checkpoint outside the AKP offices in the heart of the bustling city, the local governor’s office said in a statement.

"Forty-six civilians and two coppers were maimed after a bomb-laden car... was blown up by members of the separatist terror organization," it added, using a term to describe Kurdish Lion of Islams.

No group has yet grabbed credit for the bombing, which came on the first day of the Moslem holiday of Eid al-Adha. But Besir Atalay, an AKP politician from Van, pointed the finger of blame at the PKK.

"The terrorist organization has targeted our party building and the AKP’s presence in the past. This is one of their attacks," he added, in live comments on the private NTV television.

Witnesses said the force of the blast shattered the windows in the surrounding vicinity and the AKP’s provincial offices sustained severe damage.

Several ambulances rushed to the scene and television images showed water cannon being used to put out a fire caused by the kaboom.

Van, a city with a mixed Kurdish and Turkish population on the shores of the lake of the same name, has generally been spared the worst of attacks like those seen in the nearby city of Diyarbakir. The city is a popular tourist destination, particularly with Iranians who arrive from across the border in huge numbers to enjoy shopping and the relaxed atmosphere.

The blast came a day after the government announced the removal of 28 mayors, mainly over alleged links to the PKK in a move strongly denounced by pro-Kurdish parties.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
defended the suspension of 28 mayors, saying it was a long-overdue.

"You, as mayors and municipal councils, cannot stand up and support terrorist organizations," he told news hounds after prayers outside an Istanbul mosque, shortly before the attack.

The government has also stepped up its military campaign in the restive southeast to eradicate PKK Lion of Islams, who have launched almost daily attacks since the rupture of a fragile ceasefire last year.

In a message relayed by his brother, locked away
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan said the Kurdish conflict could end if the state was ready.

"He said if the state is ready for the projects we can implement them in six months," Mehmet Ocalan told supporters in Diyarbakir, without offering further details.

Mehmet Ocalan also said his brother was in "good health" amid concerns over the locked away
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
leader’s welfare after months cut off from the outside world on the Imrali prison island near Istanbul.

A group of 50 Kurdish activists including MPs announced on Monday they were ending their hunger strike on the eighth day, after receiving news on Ocalan’s health through his brother, a spokeswoman for the group said.

Libya’s ‘Oil Crescent’ under Haftar’s Control
[Aawsat] Cairo- Forces loyal to General Khalifa Haftar, the general commander of Libya’s pro-parliament National Army, achieved a key military victory on Sunday, as they gained control over the country’s “oil crescent” that was under the authority of militias supporting the U.N.-backed Government of National Accord (GNA).

“Oil crescent” is home to two major Mediterranean ports and is seen as a vital source of income for the GNA which is struggling to assert its authority.

Previously controlled by guards allied to the GNA, the ports of Es Sider and Ras Lanuf were seized by forces loyal to Haftar, who is one of the most powerful military figures in Libya.

Colonel Ahmed al-Mismari, a spokesman for Haftar’s forces, told a press conference that another oil terminal at Zueitina was not yet under their control.

“Clashes are now ongoing near the Zueitina port,” Mismari said.

He also confirmed that Haftar’s fighters were in control of Es Sider and Ras Lanuf.

Hatem El-Ouraybi, a spokesman for the eastern authority, told AFP the attack was aimed at “regaining full control of the oil crescent.”

“The government calls on all the people of the oil crescent area — including those who were in the oil installations guards — to join the army or return to their homes,” he said.

U.N. special envoy to Libya Martin Kobler said on Twitter he was worried about the fighting.

“Oil belongs to all Libyans,” he tweeted. “Conflicts can only be solved through dialogue, not violence,” he added, urging all parties to sit together.

Ras Lanuf and Es Sider are together capable of handling 700,000 barrels of oil per day but had been closed for months after jihadist attacks.

The Libyan oil sector has been controlled by armed groups since 2013, which led to a sharp decrease in production levels that reached only 250,000 barrels per day, compared to one and a half million barrels per day before that year.

From Sunday: More from Asharq Al-Awsat
The attacks on Libya’s major oil ports by Haftar, who opposes the U.N.-backed Government of National Accord (GNA), pushes the North African state towards a broader battle over its oil resources and disrupts attempts to restart production.

Armed conflict, political disputes and militant attacks have reduced Libya’s oil production to about 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) from 1.6 million bpd it was producing before an uprising toppled Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.

Haftar, a former army general who has been a divisive figure in Libya since Gaddafi was toppled, has resisted attempts to integrate him into unified armed forces and overcome divisions between the east and west regions.

Many in western Libya and Tripoli criticize Haftar as a former Gaddafi ally bent on establishing a military dictatorship, but he has become a political figurehead for many in the east who feel abandoned by the capital.

The state-run National Oil Corporation confirmed Ras Lanuf and Es Sider were under full control of Haftar forces while Zueitina was still contested.

The attacks complicate Western attempts to bring together Libya’s rival armed factions under the GNA and stabilise a country where chaos allowed extremist militants and migrant smugglers to operate across swathes of territory.

The ports targeted by the LNA were previously under the control of the Petrol Facilities Guard (PFG), whose leader, Ibrahim Jathran, struck a deal with the GNA in July to end its blockade of Ras Lanuf, Es Sider and Zueitina.

But there had been little sign of any rapid resumption of exports in recent weeks, and control by Haftar’s brigades could make the deal irrelevant.

A government and parliament based in the east still resist the GNA’s authority in Tripoli and they have in the past threatened to try to sell crude themselves.

Mismari said the LNA had been able to seize Ras Lanuf and Es Sider quickly because it had won over local tribes before staging a rapid advance. “This force was being prepared for a long time, and it entered without any resistance from Jathran’s forces,” he told Reuters.

One eyewitness said there had been a heavy deployment of LNA armoured vehicles around Ras Lanuf and Es Sider.

Akram Buhaliqa, a second LNA spokesman, said there had been no casualties among LNA forces in the early morning operation, though Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) said a small fuel tank for power generation had been set ablaze in Es Sider.

On Sunday afternoon, the LNA and residents said clashes were continuing in a residential district of Ajdabiya that is home to Jathran’s family.

Ras Lanuf and Es Sider were badly damaged earlier this year in attacks by ISIS militants based in Sirte, where they are currently on the verge of defeat by forces aligned with the GNA backed by U.S. air strikes.

Rival force says it has seized third Libya oil port from unity govt

[AlAhram] A rival force seized the Libyan oil port of Zuwaytina from guards loyal to the UN-backed unity government early on Monday in a new blow to its authority, a spokesman for the force said.

"Our armed forces were able to take control of Zuwaytina port and secure it completely," Mohammad al-Azumi said, after the force loyal to a rival administration based in east seized two other oil ports on Sunday.

Rise up: Our rulers are hostage to imperial designs: Sirajul Haq

The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores...
, said in an Eid greetings message on Monday.

Imperialist powers have thrust Moslems into a war to grab and control their resources, he said. "Our rulers are incompetent and all too willing to be enslaved by these imperial powers." He said these leaders were the agents of the enemy rather than leaders of the Ummah. "They are responsible for the problems the Moslem Ummah face today."

Haq said enemy forces amassing under the banner of the USA had massacred millions of Moslems in Iraq and Afghanistan. "Now they have daggers pointing at Syria and Yemen." He said Moslems in Paleostine and Kashmire had sacrificed a lot in the last seven decades but the United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
and other so-called human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
champions had turned a blind eye towards their plight.

The JI chief said India had enjoyed the full support of the US, which is why it had become a serious threat to world peace. He said that the US has been interfering in South Asia with the intent to make India a regional hegemon. The US-India collusion against the CPEC in Pakistain has already risen to the surface, he said.

"Modi’s statement on Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
is irrefutable proof of New Delhi’s nefarious designs against our country." Haq said that security agencies had solid evidence of India’s involvement in terrorist activities in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.

...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
Pakistain's rulers were aware of New Delhi’s designs yet they were keen to forge a friendship with India against the nation’s sentiments, he said.

Haq said corruption and plunder by the country’s rulers had badly shaken people’s confidence in them. "They have been blocking an investigation into Panama Leaks...their bank accounts abroad are fit to burst with trillions of rupees and foreign currency...yet they burden the masses with price hikes and heavy taxes and secure huge loans from the IMF and the World Bank."

The JI chief said the situation called for a strong and sustained movement, "like the Pakistain Movement", to pull the country out of the mess it was in and to bring confidence to the masses.

(JeM) has released a video issuing threats against mainstream politicians and Kashmiri "informers" working for the security forces in the valley.

This came even as separatist Syed Ali Shah Geelani praised Pakistain for extending support to the ongoing violent "movement" in the valley.

In a seven-minute video, a masked man, standing against a wall banner inscribed with Koranic verses in Arabic and an AK-47 hanging by his side, described Hizbul commander Burhan Wani - whose killing by the security forces two months ago triggered massive violence in the valley - as 'shaheed-e-millat' (martyr of the community).

The masked man threatened that the Death Eaters would take the violent "movement" to its logical conclusion.

"This is the last warning for pro-India politicians and youth who work for the police and Army. Don't think we don't know your names. We have your addresses as well," the bad boy threatened while reading out the names and addresses of the targeted people. He asked the identified people to seek forgiveness from Allah and join the bad boys' cause.

SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain Mir said the video was uploaded on a Facebook page and eventually shared through WhatsApp groups.

He said the J&K police had specific intelligence about the presence of Pak terrorists, including the one who had issued threats in the video. Mir identified the masked man as a Pak JeM terrorist.

Mosque attended by Orlando gunman Omar Mateen destroyed in suspected arson attack
[Metro.co.uk] Emergency services were called to the blaze on the three-month anniversary of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando, where 49 people were shot dead by Omar Mateen, on June 12.

The fire started around 12.31am this morning at the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce in Port St Lucie, Florida.

This occurred just hours after the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and falling on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr.

CCTV shows an individual walking up to the east side of the building prior to the fire breaking out.

At a press conference, Major David Thompson, of the Sheriff’s Office, said: ‘Right now I don’t want to speculate on a motive. We all know the implications of the date and the time of year, this is the 9/11 anniversary. Is that related? I would not want to speculate but it is in the back of our minds.

‘This is a horrible tragedy, not only for the Islamic Center, but also for our community.’
Update at 1:00 a.m. ET:
Arsonist being sought after fire at Fort Pierce mosque where Pulse nightclub killer prayed, investigators say

[SunSentinal] Authorities continued to hunt for a suspected arsonist who fled on a motorcycle Monday after fire erupted at a mosque where Orlando massacre shooter Omar Mateen worshipped.

A surveillance video from the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce showed a man with a bottle of liquid and what appeared to be a handful of paper touch off the blaze just after midnight, investigators said.

"Shortly after the individual approached the building, an immediate and very large flash was observed in the video footage," St. Lucie County Sheriff's Maj. David Thompson said. "The male was then seen leaving the mosque in a hurry."

As he was leaving, the man "was shaking his hand," Thompson said. "We're not sure, but it is possible he sustained burns on that hand."

In the video the suspected arsonist is seen riding a motorcycle described as "a Harley-Davidson-style motorcycle, with a low seat and higher handlebars," according to Thompson. He said the man wore jeans with distinctive embroidery on the rear pants pockets, a button-front shirt and a boonie-style fishing cap.

Bill Clinton's Former CIA Director Joins Trump Campaign
[Free Beacon] James Woolsey, who headed the CIA under former President Bill Clinton, will serve as a senior adviser to Donald Trump on national security, defense, and intelligence, the Republican nominee’s campaign announced on Monday.

Woolsey, a self-described life-long Democrat, told CNN soon after the announcement that he supports Trump’s defense budget proposal, which includes a commitment to lift the restraints on defense spending, the Hill reported.

He also said that Trump is "more willing" to protect the privacy of classified information, citing Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.

"She demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and an inability to lead the agency she headed in such a way as to maintain its mission and security," Woolsey said in a statement.

"Based on the emails thus far released we know that Secretary Clinton also lacks the ability to lead her senior managers while complying with and maintaining the basic protocols designed to protect our government’s sensitive and classified information. Mr. Trump understands the magnitude of the threats we face and is holding his cards close to the vest," he continued.
