Rooshin Amb: All Normal Channels of Communication Between the US and Russia Cut off
All normal channels of collaboration between the United States and Russia have been cut off, including a wide range of critical issues, Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak said on Tuesday.

Kislyak added that the United States and Russia once had a bilateral commission of 21 working groups focused on science, technology, military, nuclear and other issues, which no longer exists. “All the normal channels of cooperation between states [US and Russia] are frozen,” Kislyak stated.

While neither country has recalled its Ambassador for consultations, which would be the final step before armed conflict, SuperStation95 has been given a "heads-up" to watch for exactly such a development.

Information obtained by SuperStation95 indicates the reason for this abrupt halt to US-Russia relations was the aggressive bombing of rebel positions in the Syrian city of Aleppo today.

Feinstein in 1999: Bill Clinton 'Gave False or Misleading Testimony'
[CNSnews] Seventeen years ago, as a Republican-controlled Senate concluded its impeachment trial of President Bill Clinton, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., expressed her concerns about how future generations would perceive what had happened.

Feinstein -- along with every other Senate Democrat and five Republicans -- voted on Feb. 12, 1999 that Clinton was "not guilty" of either of the two Articles of Impeachment the House brought against him.

"Clinton acquitted but tarnished forever by impeachment," said an Associated Press headline the next day.

"[T]he Senate, with Democrats solidly in his camp, acquitted him on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice," said the AP story.

But Feinstein had recruited 37 other senators, including some Republicans, to co-sponsor a resolution she hoped the Senate would pass to "censure" Clinton.

"[D]uring these trying days," Feinstein said, according to the Congressional Record, "the question has been asked of many of us: 'What will we tell our children about this sordid period in our Nation's history?'"

Home Front: WoT
Deadly small plane crash near Connecticut aerospace factory may have been was intentional
The pilot of a small plane that crashed near an aerospace factory in Connecticut, killing a passenger, reportedly confessed that the crash wasn’t an accident. The FBI is now investigating whether the Tuesday crash in East Hartford was intentional, law enforcement officials told The New York Times.
So not clear if it's WoT related, but something about this is strange.
Moved to P.1: WoT based on updated information posted below.
The Piper PA 34 crashed near a Pratt & Whitney around 3:40 p.m., on its final approach to Hartford-Brainard Airport. Officials said the small plane took off from the airport’s flight school. But officials said the passenger — 28-year-old Feras M. Freitekh, of Orland Hills, Ill. — was killed. Freitekh had been issued a private pilot license in May 2015 and was certified to fly single-engine planes. His relationship to the pilot is unknown.

The pilot reportedly confessed that the crash wasn't an accident.
Notice how we're halfway through the article and we still don't have the pilot's name. Is that because the FBI wouldn't release the name or because the MSM is protecting us from knowing things that we should know? As David Burge likes to say, "the MSM covers the news. With a pillow."
Two people who were in a minivan near the crash were treated for minor injuries.

Federal authorities started investigating the incident because the plane crashed near the Pratt & Whitney factory, which was deemed “critical infrastructure.” But company spokesman Ray Hernandez said that it did “not appear at this time that any Pratt & Whitney employees or contractors were involved” in the crash.

The FBI did not immediately comment on the investigation.

More from CBS News

One of the men on the plane, Feras M. Freitekh, is a Jordanian national who first entered the U.S. in 2012 on a temporary student M1 visa to fulfill a course of study for flight school, CBS News has learned. At some point his status changed to an F1 visa, and he went to a language school in Toledo, Ohio. It then went back to an M1 visa.
Additionally, from me: the area that Mr. Freitekh lives in, Orland Hills, is one of the more favorite areas for the Arab immigrant population in Chicago.

Oh, and from other news reports: the "M" in Mr. Freitekh's name is for "Mohammad".
Moved to P.1: WoT on the basis of this Daily Mail article at 4:50 pm ET. As usual, they've been updating the article as new information came in. Edited for what has not yet been covered.
Flight instructor's desperate struggle to survive as his Jordanian student pilot tried to crash their plane: School owner fought for controls before fireball killed trainee and injured three others

  • Student pilot Feras M. Freitekh, 28, was killed and his flight instructor Arian Prevalla was seriously injured when a plane crashed yesterday

  • The experienced pilot told police from his hospital bed that Freitekh had crashed into the Connecticut high street intentionally

  • Pair were were arguing shortly before the plane crash, officials said

  • Prevalla had fought for control after Freitekh began flying 'erratically'

  • Several friends and relatives of Freitekh posted on Facebook that they 'forgave' him after the crash

  • FBI and state counter-terrorism unit are now investigating the claims

  • No evidence of terrorist activities were found when police searched Freitekh's home in Connecticut

  • They did find three foreign nationals living with him - all also studying for their pilots' licenses - who were interviewed but released without charge

White House sending THAAD to South Korea as 'soon as feasible'
The US military is to deploy a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) counter missile battery to the Republic of Korea (RoK) as quick as possible, the White House said on 10 October in response to an official protest.

"The United States is working with the RoK to deploy this system as soon as feasible in order to more safely defend our RoK ally and US military personnel deployed to the region from the North Korea nuclear and ballistic missile threat," read the statement. A written petition decrying the deployment, created in July, garnered enough signatures (more than 100,000) to warrant a response.

The petition called the looming THAAD deployment "a controversial move that will likely … escalate tension in the region, by provoking North Korea, China, and Russia into a spiralling arms race in the region that is already heavily militarised".
That's pretty foolish. All THAAD does it make it more difficult for someone firing missiles at you to hit something. It's a defensive weapon. The protesters are reading right out of the old Soviet playbook of the late 1970s / early 1980s with the Pershing missile kerfuffle in Germany...
The White House said the move is necessary "to improve the missile defence posture of the US-RoK Alliance". After years of speculation and discussions, Washington and Seoul agreed in July to deploy THAAD, although details of the deployment are still being worked out. It is expected that a THAAD battery could deploy to South Korea sometime in 2017.

South Korean officials changed the initial plan to base the system at an artillery facility near the town of Seongju, but this met with significant opposition from locals and in late September a new location for the system was revealed to be Lotte Skyhill Country Club in Seongju County, North Gyeongsang Province, which is farther from densely populated areas and 680 m above sea level (300 m higher than the previously selected location).

Other details of the deployment are to be discussed during an RoK-US Security Consultative Meeting to be held on 20 October in Washington.

Woz thinks AI will not be as threatening as feared and will have far more benefits
[nextBIGfuture] At one point I had concerns about AI because if you replace brains and then all of a sudden companies with people lose money and the machines do everything for us and we have no jobs left, I thought that way and then I totally reversed myself for a lot of reasons. One being that Moore's law isn't going to make those machines smart enough to think really the way a human does.

Another is when machines can out think humans they can't be as intuitive and say what will I do next and what is an approach that might get me there. They can't figure out those sorts of things.

Wozniak thinks the biggest impact on humanity in the next couple of decades will come from areas that we can apply artificial intelligence. Wozniak is leaving out biotech and quantum computers because he is not close enough to those areas.

Virtual reality is another area that Wozniak thinks will be big.

He thinks machines might become independent thinkers. But if they do, they're going to be partners of humans.

#7  Why would we want to dumb them down?

To be fair, the harnessing of our illogical functions, creativity - innovation, is a strength if most of the time a failure.

Let me know when a robot can grab a roll of duct tape and a modified trash bag to re-direct a water leak into the sump pump.

But I did like the ST:TNG episode where, and I poorly remember, a colony was dying because they become so generationally dependent upon the AI that when it broke nobody could fix it, and LaForge was like, "Come'on, I was fixing things like this in kindergarten."

#8  The thing missing from AI, IMHO, is the sense of self/desire to improve ones environment.

The basic WHY of human creative activity isn't there. Of course I'm not sure I want robots asking these kinds of questions on their own.......

#10  we have no jobs left

I have been hearing this my entire life with every new technology. It's nonsense.

When the telephone was being rapidly adopted, extrapolating forward, in 50 years, everyone would need to become a telephone switchboard operator.

And of course, computers are called computers, because large numbers of mostly women worked at manually performing complex calculations and they were called computers.

New jobs will come along. Although there some jobs that would appear to have poor future prospects - long distance truck drivers in particular.

The Left Thinks There is a Need to Produce a Unaware and Compliant Citizenry

Well, we all thought the big problem for our US democracy was Citizens
United/Koch Brothers big money in politics. Silly us; turns out that money
isn't all that important if you can conflate entertainment with the
electoral process. Trump masters TV, TV so-called news picks up and repeats
and repeats to death this opinionated blowhard and his hairbrained ideas,
free-floating discontent attaches to a seeming strongman and we're off and
running. JFK, Jr would be delighted by all this as his "George" magazine saw
celebrity politics coming. The magazine struggled as it was ahead of its
time but now looks prescient. George, of course, played the development
pretty lightly, basically for charm and gossip, like People, but what we are
dealing with now is dead serious. How does this get handled in the general?
Secretary Clinton is not an entertainer, and not a celebrity in the Trump,
Kardashian mold; what can she do to offset this? I'm certain the
poll-directed insiders are sure things will default to policy as soon as the
conventions are over, but I think not. And as I've mentioned, we've all
been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire
to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains
strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands
some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven,
    demographically-inspired messaging.

Rubio's press conference yesterday AM was good and should be repeated in its
entirety, not just in nibbles. I will attend the Clinton fundraiser here
next week but as I can only afford the low level of participation may just
get to wave without a "hello."

I fear we are all now trying to navigate a set of forces that cannot be
simply explained or fully understood, so it is and will reamin interesting!

    Sent with a handshake,
There is a cultural war going on and the American people are the enemy.

A recent study by the International Monetary Fund found that skilled workers are exiting sub-Saharan Africa at an increasing rate, and that the number of sub-Saharan migrants living in developed countries could increase from about 7million in 2013 to about 34million by 2050.
There are two facts in that sentence. They are not necessarily about the same people --- and probably aren't.
One academic in the humanities faculty at the University of Cape Town, who asked not to be named, said he was looking for a position further afield and that other academics, not only at UCT, were doing the same.

"The gradual effect of the continued protests will be the eventual impoverishment of South African tertiary educational institutions," the source said. "The very best academics will look for, and easily secure, employment at more stable universities [elsewhere].

"Top researchers will choose to do their PhDs elsewhere.

"This will be disastrous, not only for South Africa but for Africa as a whole, since much of the research into challenges facing the continent emanates from the top South African institutions."
    Con't.

Clinton campaign used Benghazi as distraction from email scandal
Emails taken from the inbox of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton's campaign chair, and published this week by WikiLeaks shed light on the campaign's efforts to confuse voters by blurring the lines between separate controversies over Benghazi and her private email use.

For example, one Oct. 2015 email from Oren Shur, Clinton's director of paid media, showed the campaign used a focus group to test whether voters would believe their attempts to paint the two scandals as one and the same.

"I feel like we really need to understand whether voters will believe that we can credibly conflate Benghazi and emails," Shur wrote to a group of high-level campaign aides.

Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, expressed his optimism that the message could "cut through" the "crap they hear about her on the news" with the message Shur proposed for ads slated to run in Iowa and New Hampshire.

The conversations took place just weeks ahead of Clinton's highly-anticipated appearance before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, where she testified for 11 hours about her role in handling the 2012 terror attack.

Later, when pressed to explain her misstatements about the email controversy amid an expanding criminal investigation, Clinton consistently pointed to her Benghazi testimony as evidence that she had already answered for her emails.
    The two controversies are unrelated.

Shur's email, which was published by WikiLeaks on Tuesday, was not the only indication that the Clinton campaign tried to make the email scandal disappear inside the Benghazi probe.

In a conversation from March of last year, Podesta told aides to steer the media's attention back to the House Benghazi investigation, which the campaign had already framed as a Republican witch hunt.
Witch hunt? You be the judge. Cold, calculating and devious, conniving and dishonest. No doubt on that one. One could almost believe the left/Dems are the enemy of all Americans (sarc).

The Four Year Anniversary of September 11th Attack on Benghazi Libya…
[The Last Refuge] Excerpt - We know in March 2011 when Hillary Clinton (State Dept) and Leon Panetta (CIA) constructed "Operation Zero Footprint" that President Obama approved the covert action and then informed the Gang of Eight of the weapons transfer operation.

This is lengthy (and yet unconfirmed) but it is the most detailed treatment of events in Benghazi that I have read to date. Recent revelations and claims from (alleged) gun dealer Marc Turi appear to corroborate this story. Among many others, House Permanent Select Committee on Intel Chairman ‐ Mike Rogers (Rep) appears on the list of people 'read on' to Operation Zero Footprint.

The irony here is, it would appear Benghazi is actually HRC's ticket to the White House. Her illness will insulate her from attack. An eventual succumbing to the illness will provide much sympathy, a plausible scapegoat, as well as convenient closure to the 'operation.'

Manuscript undoubtedly in development. Stand by for info on Premium Memberships.

Tulsa: Black man shot by police was high on PCP drug
[SouthAfricaToday] An unarmed black man shot dead by a white police officer after his car broke down on a city street last month was high on the hallucinogenic drug PCP in when he died, according to toxicology tests released by a medical examiner Tuesday.

Terence Crutcher, 40, had “acute phencyclidine intoxication” when he died Sept. 16. Officer Betty Jo Shelby was charged with first-degree manslaughter after his death, with a prosecutor saying she reacted unreasonably when Crutcher disobeyed her commands.

Medical literature says PCP, also known as Angel Dust, can induce euphoria and feelings of omnipotence as well as agitation, mania and depression.

Dr. Matthew Lee, a physician and pharmacist who also works for the Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, said the 96 nanograms per milliliter of PCP found in Crutcher’s system is more than enough to cause someone to be uncoordinated, agitated and combative.

“It’s on the high side, relative to causing some sort of impairment or intoxication,” Lee said.

Videos from a police helicopter and a dashboard camera showed Crutcher walking away from Shelby on a North Tulsa street with his arms in the air, but the footage does not offer a clear view of when Shelby fired the single shot.

Tulsa police had said previously that they had found a vial of PCP in Crutcher’s SUV — and the police officer’s lawyer said she had completed drug-recognition training and believed Crutcher might have been under the influence of drugs.

Lawyers for Crutcher’s family released a statement saying the toxicology report “does not change the most pertinent facts of this tragedy” and that Shelby “should be held accountable for her unlawful actions.”

According to an eight-page report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City, Crutcher suffered a “penetrating gunshot wound of chest” and noted both of Crutcher’s lungs were pierced and that he had four broken ribs. In addition to saying Crutcher had PCP in his system, it said he was obese and had too much cholesterol in his gallbladder. The examiner recovered a bullet fragment from Crutcher’s left chest.

#2  I witnessed a police action against a man high on PCP some years ago. During a Mardi Gras parade the man was running down the street pushing stepladders over - with little kids in boxes on top. Cop tackled him right in front of me. The guy was flopping like a fish out of water, kicking, trying to bite, etc. Every time he did so the cop whacked him on the shin with his billy club. Some stereotypical little Jewish lawyer came up accusing the cop of brutality, whereupon the cop held the club out to him and said "OK, YOU hold him until the wagon gets here." The offer was declined. I gave my name and contact info to the cop and said I'd be happy to testify on his behalf if anything came of it - it didn't. Once the guy was handcuffed and in the van he started lungeing from side to side, slamming into the walls until it looked like the van would flip over. All the cop said to me was "He is feeling no pain now but he sure is going to hurt in the morning." Of course both perp and cop were white, so ....

Mali Suicide Bomber Dies in Failed Attack on Swedish Peacekeepers
[AnNahar] A jacket wallah was killed during an attempted attack on Swedish peacekeepers serving with the U.N.'s Mali mission in the central city of Timbuktu, Swedish and U.N. sources told AFP Tuesday.
Weapon in the foto: Kulsprutepistol m/45 (Kpist m/45), also known as the Carl Gustav M/45 and the 'Swedish K'
The U.N.'s MINUSMA mission was deployed to Mali in July 2013, with around 12,000 international police and military personnel attempting to secure lawless swathes of the vast Sahel nation.

"On Monday evening a Swedish patrol on assignment in Timbuktu city was attacked by a suicide bomber," a Swedish armed forces statement said.

"The soldiers were on a routine mission and were approached by an unidentified man who shortly thereafter detonated an explosive he was wearing on his body. The perpetrator died in connection with the attack," it added.

The interim head of the Swedish force in Timbuktu, Major Kristian Sandahl, confirmed no Swedes were maimed during the incident.

Conflicting reports issued earlier Tuesday suggested that Swedish forces had neutralized the attacker.

"A suicide kaboomer attempting to commit a terrorist act was neutralized," a source within the MINUSMA mission told AFP, requesting anonymity as the U.N. has yet to formally comment on the incident.

There are 209 Swedish military personnel and nine police serving with the Mali mission, according to the most recent U.N. figures from August.

    The Grand Turk
Turkey orders detention of 125 police officers - media
[AlAhram] A Turkish prosecutor on Tuesday ordered the detention of 125 coppers in the investigation of a religious movement the government blames for an unsuccessful military coup, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported. It was the second wave of arrests since Oct. 7 to target suspected coup plotters in the police force.

The ruling AK Party, founded by Erdogan, will not harbour members of the Gulen network that Ankara lists as a terrorist organization, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said in parliament. "AK Party will not shelter any traitor or terrorist," he said. "We are engaged in the same struggle (against Gulen's network) within the AK Party as we are in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
    , generally."

No high-ranking AKP members have faced charges in the post-coup crackdown, which has included the arrests of 32,000 people and purge of some 100,000 military officers, police, teachers, judges, prosecutors and others from state jobs.

Parliament on Tuesday will vote to extend the state of emergency, introduced in July for three months, until January. The vote is a formality as the AKP commands a large majority of parliamentary seats and the nationalist opposition has already pledged to back the move.

Yildirim acknowledged that a small number of mistakes might occur during the crackdown but said the government will not allow "unjust treatment" of citizens.

In Tuesday's operation, authorities conducted raids in Istanbul, and among the coppers being sought were 30 deputy police chiefs, Anadolu said. No one was immediately available at the prosecutor's office to comment on the warrants.

The Istanbul prosecutor said the officers were suspects because they allegedly used a little-known smartphone messaging app called ByLock, Dogan reported.

The state intelligence agency identified at least 56,000 operatives after it cracked ByLock, which Gulen's followers began using in 2014, officials said in August.

Gulen, 75, has led a decades-old religious movement whose members sought jobs in the security forces and civil service to expand his clout, authorities say. He fled Turkey in 1999 to avoid trial on suspicion of anti-secular comments.

Gulen's conservative network supported Erdogan, who has roots in an Islamist political movement, during the first half of his rule but the two men fell out over disagreements in foreign and domestic policy and revelations about a corruption investigation that targeted Erdogan's inner circle.

FETO Turkey's Daesh, says Deputy PM

[AA.TR] The Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), believed by the Turkish government to be behind July 15 defeated coup, is The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's ISIS, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said Tuesday.

"FETO is an organization which is no different from ISIS. We can even say that Turkey's ISIS is actually this organization," Kurtulmus told the 9th meeting of the Eurasian Islamic Council in Istanbul.

He went on to say that FETO not only abused the religious sensitivities of the Turkish nation for many years, but also proved that it could "ruthlessly use weapons" against the people.

"The whole world saw how FETO used fighter jets, tanks, rifles and bombs on the evening of July 15 to slaughter our people," he said.

The July 15 coup attempt martyred over 240 people and injured more than 2,100, leading to a nationwide probe to eliminate FETO sleeper cells which had infiltrated state institutions, including the judiciary and army.

Fetullah Gulen, who the Turkish government says heads FETO, has been living in Pennsylvania, U.S. since 1999.

Turkish Ruling Party Official Killed in Attack

...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
    's state-run news agency
...and if you can't believe the state-run news agency who can you believe?...
says a local official from the ruling party has been killed in an attack in a mainly Kurdish town in southeast Turkey.

Anadolu Agency said Tuesday authorities believe the attack against Deryan Aktert, the ruling party's top official in the town of Dicle, was the work of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK. There was no immediate responsibility claim.

It says assailants shot up a gas station owned by Aktert, abruptly ejecting him from the gene pool. It was unclear whether anyone else was hurt in the attack.

Fighting between the PKK and the state security forces resumed last year after the collapse of a fragile 2 ½-year cease-fire. Since then, more than 600 Turkish security personnel and thousands of PKK snuffies have been killed, according to Anadolu.

3 terrorist suspects detained in Kazakhstan
[Ynet] Kazakhstan's domestic security agency says that three people suspected of planning attacks against the country's security services have been incarcerated

    in the capital, Almaty.

Tuesday's statement from Kazakhstan's KNB state security service said law enforcement officers found homemade explosives, detonators and Death Eater literature when they made the arrests.

Kazakhstan has seen an uptick in deadly incidents this year attributed by the authorities to radical Islamists. Twenty people were killed in the city of Aktobe in June when gunnies attacked a military base and a gun shop. Three people, including two coppers, were shot by turbans in Almaty the following month.

Egypt closes Al-Hussein Mosque on Ashoura for fear of sectarian tension
[AlAhram] Egypt's Ministry of Religious Endowments decided on Tuesday to close al-Hussein Mosque in Old Cairo till Thursday hours ahead of the religious Ashoura celebrations to avoid any possible tensions between Shia and Salafists
...Salafists are ostentatiously devout Moslems who figure the ostentation of their piety gives them the right to tell others how to do it and to kill those who don't listen to them...
    .
If the Shia are not permitted to gather, they will not entice Sunnis to attack by being there. Uncovered meat, donchaknow.
"Sectarian religious practices will not be allowed on Ashoura or any other day," a statement by the ministry said on Tuesday, warning that sectarian rallies are banned under the law.
Moderation, Egyptian style. Had the Moslem Brotherhood still been in charge, they would have organized the attacking mobs.
Shia Moslems commemorate on Ashoura the martyrdom of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam al-Hussein, whose decapitated head is believed to be buried at the al-Hussein Mosque.

In the past few years, Egyptian authorities have closed al-Hussein Mosque on the day of Ashoura for fear of sectarian tensions.

There are no official figures conerning the number of Shia in Egypt.

Ashoura, the 10th day of the Islamic calendar, is a festival for the general Moslem community who celebrate a number of religious events that, although unrelated, coincide on the same day.

The Ministry of Religious Endowments runs mosques in Egypt in accordance with Sunni doctrine and does not recognise Shia mosques or rituals. Salafists, who are ultra-conservative Sunnis, reject the Shia denomination and consider it a heresy.
At least Coptic Christians are recognized...
In June 2013, four Egyptian Shias, including influential Sheikh Hassan Shehata, were killed by an angry mob in a Giza village following anti-Shia incitement by Salafist preachers.

    Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF seals off candy shop of terrorist’s family
[Ynet] The Israeli Army welded shut the entrance to the sweet shop, located in the village of al-Ram and below the family’s home; residents of the village confronted Israeli security forces in the process; in a separate operation, a house in Nablus purchased by the terrorist who supplied the weapons used in the attack that killed Na’ama and Eitam Henkin was demolished.

The IDF sealed off the entry to the candy shop belonging to the family of the terrorist who carried out Sunday’s attack in Jerusalem on Tuesday. The security forces welded iron rods to block the entry to the store, in which the terrorist filmed his “will” before heading out for the attack. In light of the attack, and in an effort to meet public dafety concerns, security in Jerusalem was put on high alert ahead of the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

The terrorist managed to kill two people—1st Sgt. Yossi Kirma and Levana Malihi—before being shot and killed himself by security forces.

The candy shop was closed by decree of Head of Central Command Maj. Gen. Roni Numa. The shop is set up on the first floor of the building, underneath the terrorist’s home. The welding roused members of the village to physically confront the security forces on the job, who contained the violence before it escalated further.

Following the attack, celebrations broke out in East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, and candy was handed out to passersby. Palestinian media reported that the candy was provided by the terrorist’s family. The terrorist’s daughter also put out a video after word of the attack broke out, praising her father and saying their relationship “was excellent.”

In addition, the IDF also destroyed a house of Amjad Elewi, who was responsible for supplying the terror cell with the weapons that were used to kill Na’ama and Eitam Henkin in 2015 in front of their four children. He was convicted and is now serving two life sentences. Elewi’s house was only now demolished due to a delay caused by petitions made to the High Court against the move, which based their arguments on the notion that while he did supplied the weapons, he did not carry out the attack.

In December 2015, the IDF destroyed a house in Nablus belonging to the head of the terror cell that killed the Eitams, had recruited people to his cell, guided them how to execute the attack and made sure to provide them with weapons

Shin Bet foils Hamas suicide bus bombing in Jerusalem
[IsraelTimes] Shuafat refugee camp resident was allegedly days away from carrying out attack, directed by Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", in Gazoo; said bombings "the way of God"

An East Jerusalem man was indicted Tuesday for planning to carry out a suicide kaboom on a bus in the capital, officials said.

On September 9, the Shin Bet security service jugged
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
alleged Hamas operative Muhammad Fuaz Ibrahim Julani, a resident of the Shuafat refugee camp, a few days before he planned to carry out his attack, the agency said.

Over the past few months, Julani, 22, had been planning to carry out a terror attack on behalf of Hamas, the Shin Bet said.

In September, he told an accomplice he planned to carry out the suicide kaboom as "this is the way of God," according to the indictment.

The Hamas terror group’s operatives in the Gazoo Strip had been in contact with Julani through the internet in order to plan the bombing and had also encouraged him to recruit other people to carry out attacks, according to the indictment filed against him Tuesday in the Jerusalem District Court.

"This investigation reiterates and highlights the unrelenting effort by Hamas operatives in the Gazoo Strip to instigate severe terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank," the Shin Bet said in a statement.

Though Julani ultimately decided to carry out a suicide bus bombing in the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood of Jerusalem, according to the Shin Bet, he said in his interrogation he had also considered a shooting attack with an AK-47 assault rifle near the Hizme checkpoint; bombing a store where he had worked in 2011; throwing an improvised bomb at the checkpoint in Shuafat; and pipe kabooms in high-traffic locations of Jerusalem, like the bus station and the Malha shopping mall.

Approximately a year ago, Julani had also considered carrying out a stabbing attack in Pisgat Ze’ev, going so far as to purchase a 6-inch (15-centimeter) knife and travel to the Jerusalem neighborhood, "but decided not to carry out the attack for fear that his parents’ home would be demolished," according to the indictment.

Instead, the East Jerusalem resident decided to carry out a suicide kaboom after the Moslem holiday of Eid al-Adha, which was celebrated from September 12 to 16. By carrying out his attack after the holiday, Julani hoped to prevent Israel from restricting Moslems’ access to the Temple Mount during the holiday, according to the Shin Bet.

The NIS 7,000 ($1,850) needed for the operation was allegedly provided by a resident of Hebron, identified in the indictment only as "Abu Muhammad," who also helped carry out some tests with the chemicals he purchased so that Julani could create his device.

When Julani was arrested on September 9, he had already purchased the materials necessary to create his bomb, including nails that he planned to pack into the device to maximize the damage.

It was his second time he purchased ingredients necessary for a bomb, since when Julani’s father discovered at some point over the summer that his son had been planning an attack, the 22-year-old "begged for forgiveness from his father and threw out the materials he had purchased," according to the indictment.

At some point in August, Julani again decided to carry out his attack and purchased the materials necessary for a second time, according to the Jerusalem district attorney.

Two members of Julani’s family, Mehmed and Iyad Julani, were also arrested for allegedly helping him hide his illegal weapons.

Julani was charged with planning to assist the enemy in wartime, contact with a foreign agent, being a member of a terrorist organization and illegal use of property for the purpose of terror.

REPORT: Phone cameras banned at debate to avoid ‘inspiring Hillary's seizure disorder'
New York City's WPIX aired a round up segment Monday morning on Sunday's presidential debate, and ended it with the reporter and the morning show anchors taking photos with disposable cameras.

The report made note that electronic cameras were banned from the event at Washington University in St. Louis.

"Whoa, gah," reporter Kirsten Cole said as the flash went off in her eyes. "This is why it was banned apparently. "The Secret Service did not trust people to disable the flashes on they’re cameras, and they were afraid it would sort of inspire Hillary’s seizure disorder."

    The female anchor looked stunned.

"Wow, I did not know," she said.

Debate attendees were ridiculed on Twitter for using the archaic technology.

I only meant that the left is enamored with electing a POTUS who is from one of their usually constituent groups which they deem politically correct. We got Obama in 2008 and 2012 because a great number of people thought that would be "cool." They want to elect a womyn because we have not yet had a woman and it is time for a woman. Next a gay POTUS but then I thought well, maybe we've already got one. Same with welfare recipient, Muslim, etc. In their minds, no white men are allowed anymore.

If Hillary wins, she will be crippled as the result of the run up to the election and all the criminal crap and incessant lying she has engaged in--she will be all-the-more dangerous to her enemies (here and abroad). We have already seen what is like weaponizing the government against citizens under an Obama regime. The IRS goes after enemies and the DOJ presents roadblocks to justice. Burqa clad VHP leader caught molesting women during Muharram majlis
[Dhaka Tribune] A Vishwa Hindu Gay Pareehad (VHP) leader, who was disguised in a burqa, was caught molesting Moslem women at a Muharram Majlis at an Imambara in Mani Umarpur village in Allahabad.

Abhishek Yadav, who is the district secretary of VHP and also husband of BJP zilla panchayat member Shipra Yadav, was beaten up by the crowd before they handed him over to the police on Sunday, reports Hindustan Times.

Later, he was admitted to a hospital. Reportedly, Yadav’s accomplice managed to flee from the scene.

The incident came to light after women suspected two burqa-clad persons and accused them of harassment after which they were forced to remove their veil.

The Times of India reports that the village elders pacified the furious mob and convinced them to call the police.

Yadav’s family, however, claimed that he was attacked and looted while on his way to the village.

Yadav has been booked under sections 296 and 354A. Police have filed an FIR against him for molestation and disturbing religious gathering.

U.N.-approved weapons imports resold in Somalia
Many guns imported by the Somali government with U.N. approval are being resold by arms dealers on the black market in the nation’s capital Mogadishu, two Western diplomats said.

Such sales violate a three-year-old deal which exempted government weapons imports from a U.N. arms embargo. The U.N. Security Council partially lifted it in 2013 to equip government forces fighting al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab militants. The United Nations imposed a blanket arms embargo on Somalia shortly after the nation plunged into civil war 25 years ago.

The two diplomats, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter, said through photographic evidence it was calculated between 35 to 40 percent of automatic rifles and other small arms on sale on the Mogadishu black market were imported by the government under the exemption.

    Arabia
US Should Stop Making Excuses for Saudi Violations in Yemen
Directly posted HRW news release, so salt, or better yet, booze it up
[Human Rights Watch] Despite rising outrage over the bloody civilian toll in Yemen’s war, the United States administration is showing no signs of breaking with – or attempting to check – the actions of its ally Saudi Arabia, the leader of the nine-nation coalition against Yemen, a report by Human Rights Watch said.

The report refers to an article in the Washington Post this week that suggested the US is willing to rationalize Saudi responsibility for laws-of-war violations in the 19-month campaign – as well as attempting to minimize its own role in the conflict.

“Does an ally have to give you a blank check for everything you’re doing in a war?” a senior State Department official is quoted as saying.

The HRW report stated highlighted that the US has supported the Saudi-led campaign with aerial refueling and targeting assistance without criticizing Saudi Arabia and its allies for repeatedly and unlawfully bombing civilians, committing apparent war crimes.

“The nature of this support makes the US a party to the armed conflict, and potentially culpable in unlawful strikes,” it said.

“The US also continues to sell arms to Saudi Arabia – more than $20-billion worth of military support and weapons in 2015 – despite increasing recognition that weapons may get unlawfully used,” it added.

The report underscored in the W. Post report that “US officials say that “errors of capability or competence, not of malice” led to repeated Saudi-led coalition strikes on civilian structures. But how do they know? There have been no serious investigations into allegedly unlawful attacks.”

“Moreover, whether Saudi targeteers were malicious or simply poorly trained does not absolve the government of responsibility. Indiscriminate attacks that fail to distinguish between civilians and military objectives as well as those that cause disproportionate loss of civilian life or property are also illegal under the laws of war,” HRW stressed.

Editor of the report, Priyanka Motaparthy , wrote that when she visited Washington this summer “to share Human Rights Watch’s findings on how the coalition has repeatedly hit civilian objects, administration officials said they believed the Saudis were just bad at targeting. This belief strains credulity. Coalition airstrikes have repeatedly struck, including with precision-guided weapons, civilian structures like medicine factories and food storage compounds, and clearly marked hospitals for which Medecins Sans Frontieres previously provided GPS coordinates. They have also repeatedly hit marketplaces during the day, when high numbers of civilians are known to be present. Lacking competence and showing insufficient regard for civilian lives or protected facilities are not mutually exclusive.”

The Washington Post article added that “military lawyers have reviewed Saudi actions and say no laws have been violated because, in their view, the civilian deaths appear to be unintentional.” But coalition pilots and operational commanders do not have to intentionally kill civilians to commit war crimes. Reckless attacks can be subject to war crimes prosecutions.

“As congressional concern with Washington’s role in Yemen increases, US officials will need to provide better answers for Saudi actions, rather than making excuses or stonewalling on the US role and how US weapons have been used. Helping a longtime ally does not let one off the hook for all responsibility in the deaths of more than 4,000 civilians, nor for shipping billions of dollars of arms that are likely to be used in the coming year’s abuses,” HRW ended up saying.

Yemeni sources confirmed that Houthi militias issued directives to quickly remove the debris and aftermath of the strikes that targeted a funeral hall in Sanaa on Saturday before the arrival of any investigative teams.

The news comes following the victims’ families and tribes releasing a statement calling the strike on the funeral a ’conspiracy’ and urged for calm and restrained pending further investigations.

Sources close to Al Arabiya News Channel say more than 80 people were killed in the strikes, among them Sanaa’s mayor Abdul-Qader Hilal and a senior figure in the ouster former president President-for-Life Ali Abdullah Saleh

Houthi senior figures were also confirmed killed during the attack, among them Mubarak al-Zaydi, a member of the Houthi militias’ political office.

    Denial
There was no Arab coalition air role in a strike in Sanaa on Saturday, sources in the Saudi-led coalition said.

"Absolutely no such operation took place at that target," one of the sources said, citing what he described as confirmation from the coalition air force command.

"The coalition is aware of such reports and is certain that it is possible that other causes of bombing are to be considered. The coalition has in the past avoided such gatherings and (they) never been a subject of targets."

No forgiveness for brother who killed Pakistani star: parents
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The father of murdered Pak social media star Qandeel Baloch has vowed no forgiveness for his son, who killed his daughter on the pretext of "honor", after her death cast a global spotlight on the practice.

Pakistain last week passed long-awaited legislation aimed at closing loopholes which allowed murderers like Baloch's brother Waseem to walk free, with hundreds of women killed in defense of the family "honor" in the conservative country each year.

Rights activists, who for years called for tougher laws to tackle violence against women, have praised the move as a step forward though lawyers criticized the amendments for not going far enough.

"There is no pardon from our side," Baloch's father Muhammad Azeem told AFP this weekend, calling for his son and the three men accused with him to be punished "at the earliest. They should get life imprisonment or death -- I will feel happy."

He and his wife, Baloch's mother Anwar Mai, said they had been unaware of the change in the law, which came three months after their daughter's death sparked revulsion in Pakistain and abroad.

Their son, Mai said, had not understood the repercussions the murder would have.

The death of Baloch, judged by many in the country as infamous for selfies and videos that by Western standards would appear tame, reignited polarizing calls for action after her brother admitted killing her.

"I am not embarrassed at all over what I did," he told media at a defiant presser in July, calling his sister's behavior "intolerable".

His mother said this weekend that he had thought his parents would become the only complainants in the case, which under previous legislation would have allowed him to escape punishment if his family had forgiven him.

Waseem thought he would be imprisoned for just "two to three months and then after he will be free, he was not aware that this would become a high-profile case," Mai told AFP.

Lawyers told AFP the wording of the legislation, aimed at mandating a life sentence for honor killings, still leaves too much up to a judge's discretion.

"There is a danger that it can be interpreted to mean that this only applies in cases when there is a disagreement over pardon of the offencer," said criminal law professor Abira Ashfaq.

"Unfortunately, the politicians have not made it an uncategorically uncompoundable offence. They have only made the penalties heavier."

"If the politicians wanted to make life imprisonment compulsory for honor killing, all they had to do was to state the same," said senior lawyer Anees Jillani.

In practice, Ashfaq added, most such cases are settled by police before they even reach court.

"We need to change the culture ... It would take a few high-profile prosecutions covered by media."

The language must also be changed, Ashfaq said.

"We should call it something negative -- patriarchal/misogynist crime, rather than 'honor' killing, which associates a positive value with this type of crime."

    Afghanistan
Dostum off to Faryab amid reports of Ghormach fall
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
    left Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
for the northern Faryab province this afternoon shortly after the Talibs seized control of Ghormach district.

A source close to the Vice President said Gen. Dostum left for Faryab on instructions of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
The source further added that Gen. Dostum is visiting Faryab to help repulse the growing attacks by the Taliban bully boyz in this province.

Ahead of his travel to Faryab, Gen. Dostum told news hounds that he has received the necessary instructions to eliminate the threats posed by the Taliban group.

This comes as a provincial council official earlier said the Talibs have taken control of Ghormach district after hours of clash with the security forces.

The Talibs have intensified attacks on key northern provinces during the recent months as the group attempts to expand its insurgency activities in northern parts of the country.

The Talibs launched a coordinated attack on the strategic Kunduz city last week and managed to infiltrate into some parts of the city, including the central Kunduz city square.

The Afghan forces managed to push the Talibs from the city although sporadic festivities still continue in parts of the city with the security officials saying the operations are slowly being as the group have taken positions inside the residential areas.

High-ranking ISIS commander found dead in east Lebanon
    [ALMASDARNEWS] The high-ranking Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) commander, Abu Bakr al-Raqqawi, was found dead at the village of Wadi 'Aata in the 'Arsal Barrens of Leb on Sunday.

According to a Lebanese Army communique, Abu Bakr al-Raqqawi's body was discovered on Sunday near the border-town of 'Arsal; his cause of death is still unknown.

Abu Bakr al-Raqqawi was a Syrian bad boy from the al-Raqqa Governorate that was leading the Lebanese faction of the Islamic State before his corpse was discovered on Sunday.

Taliban Face Setback in Dasht-e-Archi in Kunduz
[Tolo News] Amid ongoing battles in Kunduz province, the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) on Tuesday launched a massive operation against the Taliban ‐ targeting hideouts and safe havens in Dasht-e-Archi district ‐ in a bid to push the Lions of Islam out of the area.

Residents in Dasht-e-Archi meanwhile have called on the Afghan government to ensure their security so that the Taliban are no longer able to launch attacks on the district.

Security forces battling the Lions of Islam on the frontline have said that the Taliban has also built hideouts in Imam Saheb and Qala Zal districts.

Reports indicate that the Taliban fighting in Kunduz use Dasht-e-Archi as a base to plot attacks on other areas.

    Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, Jack stuck the cigar in his mouth, stepped onto the gantry, and asked Got a light, Mac?

Von Schtinken stopped short, lowering the dagger and trying to control his features.

If you light that thing, Herr Armschtröng, he pointed out, his voice tense, we all die!...

security forces stormed Taliban hideouts in Qarloq and Pul-e-Moman areas of the district from the ground and carried out air strikes.

The military campaign in Dasht-e-Archi has meanwhile forced the Taliban to flee the area, officials said.

The security forces managed to recapture the key and strategic locations from the holy warriors during the campaigns.

    The Grand Turk
Erdogan Bey tells Iraqi leader to ‘know his place’
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
can’t be excluded from a possible operation to recapture the Iraqi city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, Turkey’s president said Tuesday, telling Iraq’s leader to "know his place."

    Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
’s remarks were likely to add to tensions between the two neighbors, which are key US partners in the fight against the ISIS group.

In a speech delivered in Istanbul, Erdogan also said Turkish troops wouldn’t withdraw from a base near Mosul, saying the Turkish army wouldn’t take orders from Baghdad. Turkey is training anti-ISIS fighters to help retake Mosul from the murderous Moslem group.

Turkey-Iraq relations became strained after Ankara sent troops late last year to the region of Bashiqa, northeast of Mosul, to train anti-ISIS fighters there - a move Baghdad has since labeled a "blatant violation" of its illusory sovereignty. Iraq has demanded a Turkish withdrawal, but Ankara has repeatedly ignored the call.

Turkish officials say hundreds of their soldiers are based at Bashiqa, training more than 3,000 Turkmen, Kurdish or Sunni Arab fighters from Mosul.

Turkey says about 700 ISIS Death Eaters have been killed in retaliatory attacks against the Lions of Islam carried out from the base.

Turkish warnings about possible sectarian festivities in Mosul if the majority Sunni region were placed under Shiite militia control also have drawn Baghdad’s ire. Last week, both countries summoned each other’s ambassadors while Iraq requested an emergency session of the UN Security Council over the presence of unauthorized Turkish troops in northern Iraq.

Speaking to Moslem religious leaders from the Balkans and Central Asia, Erdogan said objections from Iraq wouldn’t stop Turkey from participating in any operation to free Mosul and proceeded to make vitriolic remarks against Iraq’s prime minister.

"You are not my interlocutor, you are not at my level, you are not my equivalent, you are not of the same quality as me," Erdogan said, addressing Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. "Your screaming and shouting in Iraq is of no importance to us. You should know that we will go our own way."

Erdogan also said Turkey wouldn’t withdraw its troops from the base in Bashiqa, adding that it was al-Abadi himself who had asked Ankara to train fighters there back in 2014.

"Turkey’s army hasn’t lost enough of its quality to take orders from you," Erdogan said in response to Iraqi calls for the troop’s withdrawal. "We would do whatever is necessary as we have done until today."

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, meanwhile, again warned that any operation to free Mosul shouldn’t lead to any demographic change. Turkish is worried that once Mosul is liberated from ISIS, Kurds or Shiite groups may take Mosul over and push out Sunni Arabs or ethnic Turkmens.

"We have explained to all of our friends that the operation planned for Mosul should be limited to removing ISIS," Yildirim said, using an Arabic acronym for ISIS.

"If you, after removing ISIS, attempt to change Mosul’s demographic structure, you will light the fire of a very big civil war, of a sectarian war. This is our warning," Yildirim said.

    India-Pakistan
Those who shelter terrorists can’t be spared: PM
[Daily Excelsior] Breaking from tradition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today attended the historic Ramlila celebrations here where he launched a veiled attack on Pakistain, saying those who help and provide shelter to forces of Evil cannot be spared, but made no reference to the surgical strikes.

Making terrorism the centrepoint of his over 20-minute speech, he said terror was the worst enemy of humanity and called upon the world community to speak in one voice against the menace to put an end to it.

"Terrorism does not have any boundaries. It is bound to destroy all...A need has arisen to root out those who spread terrorism. Those who help forces of Evil and provide shelter to them can no longer be spared," he said in an obvious reference to Pakistain without taking its name.

"Terrorism is against humanity. The entire world is being destroyed...If you think that we are insulated against terrorism, then we are wrong. It is a virus affecting our societies. All forces across the world have to talk in one voice and end it. It will not be possible to save humanity without eradicating terrorism," the Prime Minister said.

"The forces of humanism should unite globally to end the menace," he said.

Modi became the first Prime Minister to attend a Ramlila event outside Delhi and his participation at the Aishbagh celebrations assumes significance in the context of Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh early next year.

The theme of this year’s Dussehra here was ’destruction of terrorism’. In the run up to the event today, there have been many references to the surgical strikes by characters enacting Ramlila.

In significant gestures, Modi was presented a Sudarshan Chakra, bow and arrow and a mace at the event, symbolising valour.

At the Delhi event at Ramlila Maidan, as usual, President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Hamid Ansari, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi were present.

"No one should have this misunderstanding that they are safe from terrorism as terrorism has no boundary, no morality, it can go anywhere and it is bent upon crushing humanity...It is essential for all to come together against terrorism," Modi said.

"The entire world is being harmed. For the last two days we are seeing the picture of a little girl of Syria....And so today, when we are buring Ravana, all human forces as one will have to resolve to fight terrorism as humanity cannot be saved without bringing an end to it," he said.

Modi recalled his meeting with a top US official who had then not recognised terrorism as a problem and had instead termed it as a law and order issue. He said the world’s perspective towards terrorism changed after 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.

He also urged the people to remain vigilant against terrorists, saying their attempts to carry out attacks can be thwarted by alert citizens.

While celebrating Dussehra, which signifies victory of good over evil, the Prime Minister said Lord Rama represented humanity and its rich values and traditions.

He said the first person to fight terror was neither a soldier nor a politician, but the mythological bird Jatayu who fought against Ravana to protect a helpless Sita, whom he was trying to kidnap.

Noting that war at times becomes inevitable due to prevailing circumstances, he said India is a country which follows the principles of peace as taught by Lord Buddha.

"We balance between the Mohan of the Sudarshan Chakra, and the Mohan of the Charkha (Mahatma Gandhi)...We are the people who have seen yudhh (war) and Buddha. We can go from yudh to Buddha. Buddha’s path (of peace) should be our final path," he said.

Terming castiesm, communalism and nepotism as the forms of social evils present inside people, he said and there is a need to get rid of these ’Ravanas’.

Modi said on one side the country was celebrating Vijay Dashmi and on the other the world was observing the day of the girl child today and called upon people to end the menace of female infanticide and feoticide.

Two Saudis on trial for using fake passports to join Syrian war
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Two Saudis were tossed in the clink
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
after they attempted to flee the country to join the war in Syria, using fake passports.

    Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
’s Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution filed a lawsuit against the two on Tuesday.

The suspects are said to have contacted "smugglers" in and outside the kingdom to facilitate their travel.

They initially tried to escape to Bahrain using a fake Bahraini passport for the first suspect. But they were arrested by Saudi authorities.

Nevertheless, the suspects attempted to escape two days later but this time through Yemen. They were then arrested by Yemeni authorities and handed over to the Saudi authorities.

It was found that the first defendant had already been arrested as he tried to travel to Afghanistan. He was later released and resumed his studies.

He then decided to join the ongoing Syrian war and this is when he met the second defendant.

They both agreed they wanted to go to Syria, and were preparing to join the ranks of "Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. Saudi Arabia is trying to prevent young people from going to fight in Syria.

Many of the imported muscle flocking to Syria to join groups like the ISIS are Arabs from the Middle East and Africa, although gunnies have attracted fighters from across different countries ranging from Norway to Uzbekistan.

    India-Pakistan
Militants jump out of EDI building, one dead
[Daily Excelsior] At least one bad boy of Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT) was killed as two of them jumped out of window from the Jammu and Kashmire Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) building this evening as Army pounded rocket at the building for second consecutive day today.

Sources said that two bandidos gunnies jumped out of the building at around 5 p.m today and one of them was struck down in his prime and his body has been seen by the Army and police lying outside while other fell in bushes and it is not clear whether he is dead or alive. One source said that Army saw him rushing towards the building.

A senior officer said that prior to the jumping out of window, the two bandidos gunnies didn’t fire a single shot for 24 hours. He said that the security forces were thinking that the bandidos gunnies are dead but all of a sudden they jumped out of the window.

The operation was put on hold this evening and not a single gunshot was heard from bad boy side after the two bandidos gunnies jumped out of window. Security forces are planning to carry out search operation tomorrow morning.

The Army and police have tightened the cordon around the EDI complex so that the bad boys, if any one of them is alive, may not escape during the night.

Earlier, throughout the last night and in the day, Army fired rockets on the EDI building causing deafening kabooms. These kabooms were even heard in Srinagar.

Sources said that Abu Maaz and Abdullah, the two LeT bandidos gunnies were in the EDI complex and they came from Pulwama for carrying out the Fidayeen attack. They along with five others had infiltrated last year and come to Pulwama for carrying out an attack.

Three of their associates were killed in February this year when they attacked a CRPF convoy killing two jawans and then entered the EDI where they killed three Special Force personnel including two officers and one employee was also killed in the shootout that lasted for over 48 hours. Their another associate, Abu Ukasha, was killed in Wandkhpora in March this year.

It may be mentioned here that at least 3 bandidos gunnies of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were holed up in JKEDI complex at Pampore in the outskirts of Srinagar since yesterday morning.

Sources said that these bandidos gunnies came through river Jhelum in a boat. The security agencies, however, were on high alert after they received inputs for last few days that a group of 4-5 bandidos gunnies are making movements in a white colour Alto Car in South Kashmire to carry out a Fidayeen attack.

In the meantime, at least nine persons, including two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were maimed in a grenade attack on a CRPF patrol party in South Kashmire’s Shopian district.

Militants hurled a grenade at the CRPF personnel in Shopian town at around 11:40 a.m resulting in injuries to seven civilians and two security personnel.

The injured have been taken to Shopian district hospital even as security forces have launched a search operation to track down the bad boys.

A police front man said that some unknown bandidos gunnies hurled a grenade on police and security forces deployed at Bona Bazar area of Shopian, today.

Two security personnel and some civilians were maimed in this grenade blast. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where their condition is stated to be stable.

Boko Haram: Air Force storms Sambisa forest
[DAILYTRUST.NG] The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), fighter jets have bombarded Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
locations in Sambisa Forest, Air Force front man, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa said on Monday.

In a press statement, Famuyiwa said the (NAF), in the past one week, has successfully struck a number of Boko Haram locations, including their logistics bases, within the Sambisa Forest.

He added that the air interdiction missions were conducted day and night using a combination of combat platforms comprising F-7Ni fighter aircraft, Alpha Jets and Mi-24V helicopter gunship.
The F-7 is the export version of the Chinese J-7, in turn a copy of the MiG-21. The Alpha is a 1980s jet trainer / light attack aircraft from France.
He said the latest air strikes against the Boko Haram are fallouts of Operation Forest Storm launched by the NAF on 2 October 2016 to further degrade the capability of the Boko Haram elements within the Sambisa forest.

He added that the strikes are in order to create the enabling environment for ground forces to continue their operation.

He said from Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), it appears the forces of Evil are low on logistics as no vehicle was seen moving.

He Furthermore, Battle Damage Assessment showed that the entire operation was a success even as human intelligence confirmed that a number of the forces of Evil were killed.

Cholera outbreak spreading in Yemen: WHO
More cases of cholera have been registered in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, a World Health Organisation Organisation (WHO) official said on Tuesday. The United Nations first reported the cholera outbreak on Friday.

"The number of cases has increased from five to 11 people," WHO official Omar Saleh told a news conference in Sanaa.

Medics were working to curb the epidemic, which has yet to claim any deaths or spread beyond the capital, he said.

Thousands of families fleeing Yemen's war are living in camps outside Sanaa, where conditions could lead to the spread of cholera, including through contaminated food or water.

Saleh said that more than half of Yemen's health centers had ceased to operate since the start of the war after not receiving funds from the health ministry.

Kurd forces drive back ISIS attack near Hasakah
Hasakah – Kurdish fighters of the People’s Protection Units (YPG) repelled a renewed attack by Islamic State’s (ISIS) militants in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah governorate, military sources reported on Tuesday.

Clashes broke out in the vicinity of Shaddadi city in Hasakah’s southern countryside after ISIS militants attacked a security checkpoint for the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The clashes centred in the villages of Hut and Hamma in southwestern Shaddadi.

Local sources reported casualties on both sides. However, ARA News could not verify the exact number of casualties.

“After three hours of clashes, Daesh militants were forced to retreat towards their bases in Margada city near the administrative border of Deir ez-Zor Governorate,” a YPG officer told ARA News, using another acronym for ISIS.

Similar clashes took place on Sunday between SDF fighters and ISIS militants in the southern countryside of Hasakah after ISIS carried out a car bomb attack on an SDF security checkpoint near Shaddari city. The extremist group has also struck the SDF headquarters in Shaddadi with a number of mortar shells. At least five SDF fighters were killed and two others were seriously injured.

At the same time, ISIS jihadists tried to infiltrate into Azzawi town, which is also in northeastern Syria. Heavy clashes ensued between the SDF and ISIS.

“ISIS militants have been trying to infiltrate into Shaddadi and other areas in southern Hasakah,” an SDF spokesman told ARA News. “Our forces were able to repel the attack and forced ISIS to withdraw towards Deir ez-Zor.”

In mid-February 2016, People’s Protection Units (YPG) and allied SDF fighters concluded a protracted campaign by liberating Shaddadi city. Since the campaign concluded, ISIS has been trying to return to the area, launching mortar and car bomb attacks from bases in Deir ez-Zor Governorate.

8 ISIS Bad Guys have a Very Bad Day

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Nineveh Province revealed on Tuesday, that eight ISIS members were killed and the headquarters of Diwan al-Hisba was destroyed by a coalition air strike, in central Mosul.

The PUK spokesman in Mosul, Gayath Sourji, said in a press statement, “The international coalition aircraft carried out an air strike targeting the so-called ISIS Diwan al-Hisba in Hayy al-Tayaran area, in central Mosul.”

“The air strike destructed the headquarters completely, as well as killing eight members of ISIS,” Sourji added.

The ISIS took over the city of Mosul in 10 June 2014, before extending its terrorist activities to other areas in Iraq, and committing massacres, genocides and crimes against humanity.

Airstrikes destroy 8 kop shops in Ninevah

[ARA News] Erbil – The US-led coalition launched on Tuesday a new wave of airstrikes on ISIS positions in Iraq’s northern Mosul city, targeting headquarters of the al-Hisba police.

The coalition struck at least eight offices of the ISIS-led al-Hisba police in Mosul.

“Warplanes of the western coalition bombed al-Hisba centres in the neighbourhoods of Narkal, Sukkar, al-Sada, Baweza, Baath, Yarmouk, Sinaa and Fesaliyah in Mosul city,” local media activist Abdullah al-Malla told ARA News.

Dozens of ISIS militants were killed in Tuesday’s strikes, which also caused a massive destruction to the targeted areas.

“Today Mosul witnessed the fiercest airstrikes by the coalition,” al-Malla said.

Activists reported a state of alert in ISIS’ ranks subsequent to the airstrikes.

    Battle for Mosul
The US-led coalition said that the Islamic State (ISIS) has between 3,000 and 4,500 fighters in Mosul and that there are no signs that the group is leaving its de facto capital in Iraq. “We think anywhere from 3,000 to 4,500 [ISIS] fighters are in Mosul, somewhere in that ball park. It’s a mixture of Iraqi and foreign fighters,” Colonel Dorrian, a coalition spokesman said.

However, Abu Azzam al-Muhajir, an ISIS militant from Saudi Arabia, disagreed telling ARA News there are at least 7,000 militants “ready to defend Mosul.”

“Also, there are still 500,000 civilians living in Mosul, and they will not accept [their] return to the central government’s authority and rule by the Shia,” al-Muhajir told ARA News.

The US-led coalition said it will continue to attack ISIS in Mosul. “[ISIS] shows no sign of really trying to leave Mosul at this point. Really, what they’ve done is they’ve continued to dig in, build elaborate defenses and so we’re really ready for a tough fight there,” Col Dorrian said. “The Iraqi security forces have been well trained to do urban style warfare. That’s one of the things that we’ve done for refit. We are expecting [ISIS to have] a mixture of Iraqi and foreign fighters.”

An ISIS source told ARA News that group has cordoned all the roads to Nineveh Governorate and has completed almost 80 percent of their field works around Mosul.

Those field works include a row of trenches, which are reportedly filled with crude oil. The trenches can be set alight to obscure visibility. ISIS has also erected concrete barriers near neighborhood entrances and key road junctures.

The coalition’s Col Dorrian said that at least 8 brigades of the Iraqi Army will march on Mosul. “We also expect the Iraqi Police to be involved, because they’re going to be a part of the effort to maintain security once areas have been liberated. [The police need] to hold those areas so [ISIS] can’t re-infiltrate.”

“We think it’s going to be a very large battle. We do expect the [Kurdish] Peshmerga to be involved, although the details of their involvement are still being worked out,” Dorrian said. ”We also expect there to be tribal forces involved.”

Houthi Calls for More Killing in Taiz
I'm sure the Houthi rank and file already are doing everything they can in this regard.
[Asharq Al-Awsat] After Yemen’s ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh made an unrestrained speech in which he called for an intensification of the ongoing fighting, Houthi-Saleh militias attacked the city of Taiz yesterday with various types of weapons and fiercely and intensely bombed the city and its neighborhoods, villages and rural areas. The siege on all entrances to the city has also been intensified, except for Khat Al-Dhubab where legitimate forces managed to lift the partial siege there in late August with the help of coalition aircraft.

Popular Resistance Sources on the ground told Asharq Al-Awsat that Houthi militia violently bombed the neighbourhoods of Taiz with Katyusha rockets and the most violent raids were carried out on the northern and western neighborhoods. Fierce offensives were also launched on various fronts.

The same sources confirmed that “what these militias are doing is in retaliation for casualties amongst rebel leaders on various fronts in Taiz where the army and the Popular Resistance achieved great progress and recaptured several sites that were under the control of militias. In addition to the continuous shelling on residential neighborhoods in the city and the countryside and the displacement of residents of some villages and areas still under the control of the rebels, these militias also bombed residential houses”.

Ethiopia Troops Pull out of Somalia Towns
[AlManar] Hundreds of Ethiopian troops pulled out of a town in central Somalia Tuesday, at least the second location vacated by their forces in recent weeks, a Somali security official said.

Security official Abdirisak Moalim Ahmed said Ethiopian soldiers present in El-Ali, Hiran region, as part of an African Union mission withdrew on Tuesday morning after artillery fire targeted their base overnight.

“The Ethiopian troops pulled out of El-Ali town early this morning,” said Ahmed, adding the reason for the withdrawal was unclear.

“They have headed for Beledweyne and the town is already taken by Shabaab militants,” he said.

The troop movement comes just days after Ethiopia’s embattled government declared a state of emergency in a bid to bring an unprecedented wave of protests under control.

El-Ali is at least the second town Ethiopian troops have vacated in recent weeks, after abandoning nearby Moqokori. No explanation has been given by the Ethiopian military while the spokesman for the AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) did not respond to requests for comment.

“They continue creating vacuums and giving chances to the militants retake liberated towns,” said Ahmed.

The Al-Qaeda aligned Shabaab militants announced the takeover of El-Ali in a message distributed via the group’s Telegram account.

A resident said some townsfolk as well as Somali security forces had also abandoned the town.

“Most of the traders have fled the town after the Ethiopian troops pulled out this morning, we can see many people including the Somali security forces who have reached Beledweyne,” said Osman Adan.

'Terrorists killed over 100 of my Chiefs' - Borno monarch
[PULSE.NG] The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Umaru Ibn Garbai Elkanemi has disclosed that over 100 of his chiefs were killed by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
He said he lost the chiefs within the seven years of the terrorists' activities, adding that it will be a huge task for the Borno people to accept the repentant members of the group back in their communities.

The Shehu stated this in Maiduguri on Monday, October 11, when the delegation of African Region Centre For Humanitarian Dialogue ( CMD), led by its director, Ms Meridith Preston Mcghie paid a visit to his palace.

"How can you unite with people that destroyed your homes, killed and displaced you? We have suffered a lot. I lost more than 100 local chiefs under my kingdoms. I was attacked by jacket wallah, thousands of women became widows and children orphans. I think, to unite people with repentant snuffies is a big task," he told the delegation.

The monarch asked for the organization's help in uniting the people as it did with two inter-communal dialogue in Plateau and Kaduna states.

"We need your assistance to reunite our people again, we as well know what you did in Kaduna and Plateau to solve inter- communal crisis. We will give you all the support to succeed," he said.

In response, the director of the dialogue team, Ms Mcghie said the organization will do all it can to ensure things do not spiral out of control.

"The delegation will ensure proper communication so that things do not go out of control, emotions don’t get so high, the centre will adopt different channels of dialogue which will be a gradual process and usually takes longer period of time before peace is achieved in a crisis environment," she said.

Libyan forces continue advance in Sirte
TRIPOLI: Libyan pro-government forces are advancing into the last area controlled by Daesh in the coastal city of Sirte, surrounding the militants after a five-month campaign backed by US air strikes, military officials say.

At least eight pro-government fighters were killed over the weekend as their forces pushed into the 600 block, an area in central Sirte, with snipers and boobytraps posing the main obstacles to their advance, the officials said.

A Reuters reporter on the ground said forces advanced across two streets on Sunday, but were facing resistance and discovering explosive devices in many buildings.

Losing the city would be a major blow to the group, but officials believe some of its fighters and commanders escaped before Sirte was surrounded, and may continue to wage guerrilla-style attacks even after it falls.

The advance is being led by the Bonyan Marsous forces, mainly fighters from the city of Misrata, who are supporting a United Nations-backed unity government in Tripoli that is trying to bring together rival factions.

“The forces of Bonyan Marsous made some advances and completely trapped the 600 block area in Sirte,” Misrata forces media official Ali Almabrouk said.

Mohamed Ghasri, a spokesman for pro-government forces, said two radical females had escaped with their three children and surrendered. They told Misrata forces they did not want to be used in suicide attacks, Ghasri said.

...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
in Geneva, Ambassador Tehmina Janjua, said on Tuesday that India’s pursuit of hegemonic policies is creating instability at the regional and global level.

She added India’s efforts for military domination in the region are contributing to the same.

"The pursuit of hegemonic policies in South Asia by India and its efforts for military domination are creating instability both at the global and regional levels," said the permanent representative at the Conference on Disarmament, a 192 member UN Committee which addresses disarmament and international security matters.

Highlighting India’s recent display of irresponsible behaviour, Janjua elaborated that South Asia’s security environment has suffered due to India’s arms build-up and a refusal to engage in any meaningful dialogue on regional security.

Five children killed by rebel fire on Syria school
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] At least five children were killed by rebel fire on a school in the southern Syrian city of Daraa on Tuesday, state media said.

“Five children were killed and 15 wounded in terrorist shelling of a primary school in the Al-Sahary neighborhood of Daraa,” state news agency SANA reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitor, also reported the rocket fire on the school, saying at least six people had been killed, five of them children.

It said that at least 25 people were wounded in the attack, and that the death toll was likely to rise because a number of the wounded were in critical condition.

Rebel forces control most of Daraa province, but the provincial capital is largely controlled by the government.

Daraa is sometimes dubbed the “cradle” of the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad that began with protests in the province in March 2011.

Rohingyas kill 4 Myanmar soldiers in Muslim-majority region
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Four Myanmar soldiers were killed and one was injured on Tuesday when troops were attacked by suspected Muslim insurgents near the country’s border with Bangladesh, an official said.

The Myanmar army, known as the Tatmadaw, has been sent into northern Rakhine State to seek attackers who killed nine police officers guarding the border early on Sunday.

The majority of residents in the area are Muslims belonging to the stateless Rohingya ethnic group.

Around 2.30pm on Tuesday, soldiers came under attack close to Pyaung Pyit village in Maungdaw Township, said Ye Naing, a director at the Ministry of Information.

“One Tatmadaw soldier was injured and four were killed by the Muslim insurgents. One was dead on the enemy side,” Ye Naing told Reuters late on Tuesday.

“Two guns and two magazines of ammunition were found.”

Nine border police officers were killed and five were wounded in Sunday’s clashes, in which officials said scores of Rohingyas swarmed border guard posts and made off with guns and ammunition.

Soldiers and police have been scouring Maungdaw Township since Sunday, employing helicopters to search the rugged terrain close to the frontier, which has been closed.

In at least one instance, the hunt for suspects has led to soldiers killing residents who officials said ambushed them but who local Muslims said were trying to flee.

State media reported on Tuesday that four bodies were discovered after soldiers opened fire in Myothugyi village, also in Maungdaw Township.

Four suspected insurgents have been detained, said Ye Naing.

Police told Reuters earlier on Tuesday that two suspects had said during interrogation that Sunday’s attacks were coordinated by a single leader operating on both sides of the Myanmar-Bangladesh border.

The events marked a dramatic escalation in violence in Rakhine State, which has seen bouts of conflict between Muslims and ethnic Rakhine Buddhists but has not typically been the site of armed insurgency.

Vijay Nambiar, special adviser on Myanmar to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, called on civilians in “the area to exercise maximum restraint and not be provoked into any kind of response by targeting other communities or religious groups.”

Congo-Kinshasa: Civilians Killed As Rebels Clash With Army
[All Africa] At least eight civilians have been killed during a firefight between the army and rebels in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo
...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material...
    (DRC).

Gilbert Kambale, a civil society leader, told AFP news agency on Monday that rebels from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) attacked the town of Beni in North Kivu overnight, with eight civilians, a soldier, and an ADF fighter rubbed out.

Mak Hazukay, the DRC army's front man, said the non-combatants were killed in the crossfire between the army and the rebels.

"The armed forces of the DRC intercepted the ADF and in the exchanges of fire civilians and soldiers were killed," Hazukay said.

The ADF was founded in Uganda in 1995 with the aim of toppling President Yoweri Museveni . It later moved to the DRC where it is one among dozens of gangs seeking control over territory and mineral resources in the east of the country.

    Human rights violations

In the past, independent observers have blamed both ADF rebels and DRC forces for deadly attacks against civilians.

The Beni area in particular has seen numerous massacres since October 2014, which have left more than 700 civilians dead.

Chinook, Stinger 'arming switch', Marc Turi, and a Piotrowski theory
Moved to Opinion because it is a Facebook post.
[Mike Piotrowski-Facebook] Amb. Stevens was sent to Benghazi post haste in order to retrieve US made Stinger missiles supplied to Ansar al Sharia without Congressional oversight or permission. Hillary brokered the deal through Stevens and a private arms dealer named Marc Turi.

Then some of the shoulder fired missiles ended up in Afghanistan used against our own military. It was July 25th, 2012 when a Chinook helicopter was taken down by one of our own Stingers, but the idiot Taliban didn't arm the missile and the Chinook didn't explode, but had to land anyway.
Gratuitous WSJ Jalalabad Stinger 'Arming Switch' story from 2011
An ordnance team recovered the serial number off the missile which led back to a cache of Stingers being kept in Qatar by the CIA. Obama and Hillary were now in full panic mode and Stevens was sent in to retrieve the rest of the Stingers. This was a "do-or-die" mission, which explains the stand down orders given to multiple commando teams.

It was the State Dept, not the CIA that supplied them to our sworn enemies, because Petraeus wouldn't supply these deadly weapons due to their potential use on commercial aircraft. Then, Obama threw Gen. Petraeus under the bus after he refused to testify that he OK'd the BS talking points about a spontaneous uprising due to a Youtube video. Obama and Hillary committed treason...and THIS is what the investigation is all about, why she had a private server, (in order to delete the digital evidence), and why Obama, two weeks after the attack, told the UN that the attack was because of a Youtube video, even though everyone knew it was not.

Further...the Taliban knew that this administration aided and abetted the enemy without Congressional approval when Boehner created the Select Cmte, and the Taliban began pushing the Obama Administration for the release of 5 Taliban Generals. Bowe Bergdahl was just a pawn...everyone KNEW he was a traitor. So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised...and a woman that is a serial liar, perjured herself multiple times at the Hearing whom is running for POTUS. Only the Dems, with their hands out, palms up, will support her. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft was called in...because the administration knew our enemies had Stingers.
Most of this is old news/theory. The name Marc Turi caught my attention. He may possibly be someone to watch now that DoJ has dropped charges against him.

#1  FOX - Arms dealer Marc Turi says administration made him scapegoat on Libya operation to 'protect' Clinton

EXCLUSIVE: American arms dealer Marc Turi, in his first television interview since criminal charges against him were dropped, told Fox News that the Obama administration -- with the cooperation of Hillary Clinton’s State Department -- tried and failed to make him the scapegoat for a 2011 covert weapons program to arm Libyan rebels that spun out of control.

“I would say, 100 percent, I was victimized…to somehow discredit me, to throw me under the bus, to do whatever it took to protect their next presidential candidate,” he told Fox News chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge.

The 48-year-old Arizona resident has been at the epicenter of a failed federal investigation led by the Justice Department spanning five years and costing the government an estimated $10 million or more, Turi says.

    #2  Wikispooks link:

Turi admits to a criminal history. He told Fox Business that in the late 1980s, he stole a computer, his roommate's car, and wrote bad checks including one for $100,000 dollars. Through court records, Fox News verified he was arrested, convicted, and served time in an Arizona jail.

"In my youth, I made some very very bad mistakes...I was discharged from the United States Navy other under than honorable conditions...and I've been fighting ever since to get that honor back."

Marc Turi is quoted as stating: "I got involved in this business in the 1990s. I've been involved in all type of operations, regarding transportation, logistics, and liaising with those foreign governments."[2]

#3  If the Wikispooks piece is accurate, Turi is NOT someone the Intelligence Community would have anything to do with. A Turi association with Foggy Bottom is very likely another matter. Other Turi connections have yet to be revealed.

Not sure who pulled Turi into the Benghazi operation, but I suspect a simple background check terminated his involvement. A follow-up DoJ indictment help keep a thumb on him. Turi may want to keep a close eye on his 6.

Pakistani-American yoot pleads guilty of planning terror attack on local JCC
[IsraelTimes] Mahin Khan, 18, pleads guilty on terrorism charges in plea bargain

An Arizona teenager has pleaded guilty to plotting an attack on government buildings and the Tucson Jewish Community Center.

Mahin Khan, 18, pleaded guilty on Monday in Maricopa County Superior Court to charges of terrorism, conspiracy to commit terrorism and conspiracy to commit misconduct involving weapons, according to reports.

Khan reportedly struck a plea bargain with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office under which he will serve a prison term of at least five years and no more than 10 years and three months, as opposed to the life sentence that he could have received. He will be sentenced on Nov. 4.

Khan was tossed in the slammer
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
in his parents’ home on July 1 and has been held in prison without bail for fear he would flee to Syria or Pakistain. He pleaded not guilty
    "Wudn't me."
    at the time.

His parents have said that Khan is autistic and not capable of carrying out the terror attacks he had planned.
Being autistic does not necessarily mean he was not capable of it, just that he was more gullible to evil manipulations.
The FBI told the court that Khan had described himself in an email as an "American jihadist" who supports the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
. In contact with undercover FBI agents, Khan said he wanted to carry out "lone jihadist" attacks that would kill hundreds of people in Arizona.

In addition to targeting the Tucson JCC, a Motor Vehicles office in Mesa and an Air Force recruitment center in Tucson were in his sites. Khan revealed his desire to attack the JCC while speaking with an undercover FBI employee in 2015.

Khan lived with his family in a gated community in north Tucson. He had threatened to kill his parents if they discovered his scheme and tried to turn him in.

    Africa Subsaharan
Zakzaky: Face of Iran’s dangerous plan in Africa
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Just as Nigeria is winning the battle against the ISIS-aligned Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
terrorist organization, it faces an even greater threat from Iran.

The Iranian-financed and trained Shiite movement, the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), has pledged a "tragedy of monumental proportions" if the fanatic group’s tossed in the clink
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
leader, Sheikh Zakzaky, continues to remain in jug.

This week, the radical Shiite movement, estimated at over four million, intends to descend on Abuja to instigate a Khomeinist uprising. It claims it will be peaceful, but the Iranian-backed group resorts to violent confrontation with non-Shiite residents to assert control over the streets. Many fear bloody chaos as Shiite gunnies pledge to "storm" the capital.

Zakzaky has been held in jug since December 2015 following festivities between the army and IMN’s armed Shiite thugs, who blocked and attacked a convoy carrying an army chief. Sunnis living in IMN’s stronghold areas accuse the group of running a parallel government that uses extortion and terror.

A judicial commission of inquiry set up by the Kaduna state government to investigate the clash blamed Zakzaky for the incident which led to the loss of 348 Shiite lives. The inquiry reported that "The IMN is notorious for engaging in hate and dangerous speech that provoke other Moslems ... Members of the IMN owe absolute loyalty to Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky.

He therefore bears responsibility for all acts of lawlessness committed by the organization and should therefore be held responsible, fully investigated and prosecuted."

Rebel defenses collapsing as Syrian Army advances at strategic East Ghouta town
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is rolling through the East Ghouta region of rural Damascus today, capturing several imperative sites from the Salafist tough guys of Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful...
    (Army of Islam).

Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces renewed their offensive near al-Reyhan today after repelling the Jaish al-Islam counter-assault on Sunday morning.

Minutes ago, the 105th Brigade and their allies captured the Reyhan Cemetery amid Jaish al-Islam's collapsing defenses at the town's entrance.

Following the capture of the Reyhan Cemetery, the Syrian Armed Forces advanced to the local school and mosque inside the town, forcing Jaish al-Islam to fortify their last-line of defense in order to avoid being overrun.

If the Syrian Armed Forces capture the local school, the entire town will likely fall minutes shortly after.

In addition to this assault, the Syrian Armed Forces are also attacking al-Reyhan from the eastern flank, targeting the Ibn Sina'a Hospital (now rebel base) from the nearby Signal Base.

Making matters worse for Jaish al-Islam, the Syrian Armed Forces are also attacking the Industrial Area that is located in the vicinity of Tal Kurdi.

Jaish al-Islam is on their last leg in al-Reyhan; if they fail to hold this town, they will be forced to withdraw from nearby Tal Kurdi.

Uruguay hunger strike leaves ex-Gitmo inmate ‘critical’
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A former Guantanamo inmate resettled in Uruguay in 2014 is at death's door from a two-month-old hunger strike he launched to demand authorities transfer him to another country, an official said Monday.

Jihad Diyab, a 45-year-old Syrian, launched his protest in early August, demanding to be transferred to an Arab country and reunited with his family.

"He is in serious danger," said Uruguay’s rights ombudswoman, Mirtha Guianze, describing his condition as "very critical."

"His situation has us extremely worried from a humanitarian standpoint," she told state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
A Uruguayan court ruled last month that Diyab had the right to continue his hunger strike, after he briefly went into a coma, then refused to be fed through an IV.

Diyab is one of six former Guantanamo inmates resettled in Uruguay as refugees, part of a deal with the United States to help close the controversial prison set up in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

Accused of terrorist links, the men -- four Syrians, a Paleostinian and a Tunisian -- were never charged or tried. They had been cleared for release but could not be sent to their home countries because of unrest there.

Diyab is a veteran hunger striker, having staged prolonged hunger strikes during his 12 years at Guantanamo to protest his detention.

He began his latest hunger strike in August in a Venezuelan prison, where he was detained after leaving Uruguay undetected and showing up at the Uruguayan consulate in Caracas, demanding to be taken to his family in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
Venezuela deported him back to Uruguay.

Guianze said Diyab is demanding a letter from the Uruguayan government expressly allowing him to leave the country -- which officials have said he has the right to do -- and a copy of Uruguay’s agreement with the United States on his transfer.

Uruguay says it is working to arrange his resettlement, but has yet to find a country willing to take him.

    - was an expert forger;
    - was a member of Asbat Al Ansar;
    - wanted to attend the Khalden training camp, but attended the Khandahar airport camp instead;
    some senior al Qaida members resented his assumption that he could attend an al Qaida camp without being vetted;
    - some senior al Qaida members were suspicious of him because of his ties to takfiris;

CNN contributor Donna Brazile: 'Sometimes I get the questions in advance.'
[WAPO] It was not one of the 2016 primary's major moments.

At a CNN-TV One town hall event on March 13, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton went face to face with Ricky Jackson, a man who was wrongly convicted of murder in 1975. He was just a teenager then.

His exoneration came after spending 39 years in prison. His question for Clinton: "I came perilously close to my own execution, and in light of that, what I have just shared with you and in light of the fact that there are documented cases of innocent people who have been executed in our country, I would like to know, how can you still take your stance on the death penalty in light of what we know right now?"

Clinton responded at length, expressing a lack of confidence that the states could capably manage the ultimate penalty. However: "Where I end up is this, and maybe it is distinction that is hard to support, but at this point, given the challenges we face from terrorist activities primarily in our country that end up under federal jurisdiction for very limited purposes, I think that it can still be held in reserve for those," said the candidate.

On the campaign trail, candidates need to be ready for any sort of question -- and perhaps Clinton had a bit of extra preparation for this one. In a leaked trove of emails concerning Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta, there appears one with the heading, "From time to time I get the questions in advance." The email was written by Donna Brazile, who was then a CNN contributor and a reputable Democratic strategist. Here’s the text of the email, which was sent a day before the town hall:

#1  Its comical how we continue to pretend to discuss tiny elements of the big picture.

We either believe that there are (multiple) external enemies (and with it, internal supporters), or we don't.

If we believe that, one candidate seems to take that possibility more seriously than the other.

If we don't eliminate that possibility, then what good could ever come from having the backing of the Chamber of Commerce when we're all dead and buried?

BCL leader has ‘torture cell’ at Victoria College
    [Dhaka Tribune] A Chhatra League
... the student wing of the Bangla Awami League ...
leader at Comilla Victoria Government College has allegedly turned his dormitory room into a torture cell in a bid to teach lessons to his rivals and those who are not in tune with his decisions.

The accusation was raised against Bashir Ullah, convenor of Kobi Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall unit Chhatra League. Not only general students but also journalist, and Chhatra Dal and even BCL activists were tortured in his room.

Students who had been tortured alleged that Bashir had been staying in the dormitory although his studentship had expired.

They also said Bashir had caned them in his room. Sometimes, he used to beat students with broken legs of benches.

On Sunday, the students formally placed a complaint to the principal about the matter.

Mahfuzul Islam Zico, fourth-year student of Management department, said: "On October 3, a student named Saiful Islam was forcefully picked up to Room No-260 over a trivial matter. When I urged them to release him, Bashir and his accomplices, including BCL Joint convener Sabbir Ahmed Mojumder as well as activists Shahidul Islam Shahin, Beni Amin Suman, Towhid, Tanvir and Anwar, beat me up mercilessly."

Some days ago, third-year student of the same department Hiron was picked up during having his meal and he was caned in the room. He was finally freed in exchange for a penalty of Tk2,100.

Many sources confirmed that BCL Organising Secretary Jahirul Islam was beaten up with legs of bench in the room on June 7. Some other students, named Arif, Sowrav, Jahid, also went through the bitter experience.

On August 24, Bashir assaulted Journalists’ Union resident of the college Toibur Rahman Sohel in the room.

Several BCL leaders opined that Bashir was a joint convener of Chhatra Dal, student body of BNP, and he became reckless after joining the pro-ruling party student organization.

Bashir Ullah said: "The allegations raised against me are not true. I have punished Zico for misconduct. As a senior of the organization, I have the rights."

Victoria Government College unit BCL President Kazi Sayem said: "This is not a big incident. It is our internal matter. The hall committee has already been dissolved and Bashir has been kicked out off it."

Fresh Iraqi regiments arrive near Daesh-held Mosul city
[AA.TR] Fresh regiments of Iraqi forces have been deployed southeast of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
in preparation of a joint operation against ISIS in the city, an Iraqi military official said Tuesday.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Col. Abdul Sahib al-Daraji said: "The first and second regiments within [Iraqi army’s] brigade 76 of division 16 arrived in Makhmur district, 25 kilometers [15.5 miles] from the center of Mosul city.

"The regiments will move tomorrow Wednesday towards the eastern axis of Mosul and will be positioned near the Mosul Dam, which is the mobilization point of division 16, charged with carrying out military operations against ISIS from the axis of al-Khazir," al-Daraji said.

"This force is at a high level of military readiness and is supposed to have a significant role in penetrating the first line of defense of ISIS from the eastern axis of the city of Mosul," he added.

Iraqi armed forces along with the Peshmerga and other combat units were being mobilized on the outskirts of Mosul to regain the city after ISIS captured it in June 2014.

    Bomb attack
At least one person was killed and eight others were maimed in a kaboom near a market in Euphrates district, west of Baghdad, Daham al-Mahmoud, a captain in the Iraqi interior ministry, said.

Separately, Iraqi bomb-disposal units in Babil province defused an bomb at the al-Risalah Park, in the center of Jableh district, some 55 kilometers (34.1 miles) northwest of Hillah, al-Mahmoud added.

ISIS stepped up its attacks in Iraqi government-held areas in recent months in conjunction with the decline of their influence on the ground in the north and west of the country.

[AlAhram] Spanish police said Tuesday they seized nearly 20 tonnes of hashish in a boat heading to Libya, as part of a global operation targeting the financing of gangs in North Africa and the Middle East.

With the help of Europe's police agency Europol and air support from Italian police, Spanish forces intercepted the boat registered under the Panama flag off the coast of Almeria in Spain's southeast on September 23.

They said all crew members were detained -- 11 Ukrainians and one Uzbek.

The Guardia Civil police force said the boat was intercepted as part of an operation launched by Spanish, Moroccan, French, Italian and Greek authorities, with support from the US Drug Enforcement Agency.

A total of seven boats have been caught in the multi-country operation, two of them carrying weapons and five full of hashish.

They had all departed from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

Investigators believe the drugs would have been used to buy weapons.

He would not be drawn on which groups the drugs and weapons were benefiting, but said police were "convinced... that they also finance jihadist terrorism."
"This trafficking is being used to finance faceless myrmidons in existing conflicts in North Africa and the Middle East," Javier Rogero, lieutenant colonel at the Guardia Civil, told news hounds.

He would not be drawn on which groups the drugs and weapons were benefiting, but said police were "convinced... that they also finance jihadist terrorism."

Of the two boats intercepted with weapons on board, one of them was sailing under the Bolivian flag and the other was registered in Togo.

Altogether, they carried 11,400 long guns, more than a million cartridges and ten tonnes of ammonium nitrate, which can be used to make explosives.

The boat registered in Togo was heading to Misrata on Libya's northwestern coast.

The intended recipients are unclear but Misrata is home to powerful militias who were among the forces that seized the capital Tripoli

Since it started in 2013, the multi-country operation has resulted in the detention of 109 people of various nationalities, the majority of them Syrian, Moroccan and Spanish.

Syrian Army tightens noose around rebel-held Douma, captures new town
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Army managed today to fully recapture al-Reyhan town deep in the rebel stronghold of the Eastern Ghouta region after severe battles with the Islamist bad boys.

Having repelled a major attack by the Saudi-backed Jaush al-Islam forces of Evil on Sunday morning, the government troops launched a full-scale counteroffensive, which granted them full control of the Reyhan Cemetery, local school and mosque.

Today, the government forces continued their advance, overrunning the rebels' last defense lines in the western flanks of the town.

By capturing al-Reyhan, the Syrian Army is now positioned nearly 2 km from the rebel-bastion of Douma.
