Dlibert on the Election (Scott Adams)
The Bully Party
I’ve been trying to figure out what common trait binds Clinton supporters together. As far as I can tell, the most unifying characteristic is a willingness to bully in all its forms.

If you have a Trump sign in your lawn, they will steal it.

If you have a Trump bumper sticker, they will deface your car.

if you speak of Trump at work you could get fired.

On social media, almost every message I get from a Clinton supporter is a bullying type of message. They insult. They try to shame. They label. And obviously they threaten my livelihood.

We know from Project Veritas that Clinton supporters tried to incite violence at Trump rallies. The media downplays it.

We also know Clinton’s side hired paid trolls to bully online. You don’t hear much about that.

Yesterday, by no coincidence, Huffington Post, Salon, and Daily Kos all published similar-sounding hit pieces on me, presumably to lower my influence. (That reason, plus jealousy, are the only reasons writers write about other writers.)

Joe Biden said he wanted to take Trump behind the bleachers and beat him up. No one on Clinton’s side disavowed that call to violence because, I assume, they consider it justified hyperbole.

Team Clinton has succeeded in perpetuating one of the greatest evils I have seen in my lifetime. Her side has branded Trump supporters (40%+ of voters) as Nazis, sexists, homophobes, racists, and a few other fighting words. Their argument is built on confirmation bias and persuasion. But facts don’t matter because facts never matter in politics. What matters is that Clinton’s framing of Trump provides moral cover for any bullying behavior online or in person. No one can be a bad person for opposing Hitler, right?

Some Trump supporters online have suggested that people who intend to vote for Trump should wear their Trump hats on election day. That is a dangerous idea, and I strongly discourage it. There would be riots in the streets because we already know the bullies would attack. But on election day, inviting those attacks is an extra-dangerous idea. Violence is bad on any day, but on election day, Republicans are far more likely to unholster in an effort to protect their voting rights. Things will get wet fast.

Yes, yes, I realize Trump supporters say bad things about Clinton supporters too. I don’t defend the bad apples on either side. I’ll just point out that Trump’s message is about uniting all Americans under one flag. The Clinton message is that some Americans are good people and the other 40% are some form of deplorables, deserving of shame, vandalism, punishing taxation, and violence. She has literally turned Americans on each other. It is hard for me to imagine a worse thing for a presidential candidate to do.

I’ll say that again.

As far as I can tell, the worst thing a presidential candidate can do is turn Americans against each other. Clinton is doing that, intentionally.

Intentionally.

As I often say, I don’t know who has the best policies. I don’t know the best way to fight ISIS and I don’t know how to fix healthcare or trade deals. I don’t know which tax policies are best to lift the economy. I don’t know the best way to handle any of that stuff. (And neither do you.) But I do have a bad reaction to bullies. And I’ve reached my limit.

I hope you have too. Therefore...

I endorse Donald Trump for President of the United States because I oppose bullying in all its forms.

I don’t defend Trump’s personal life. Neither Trump nor Clinton are role models for our children. Let’s call that a tie, at worst.

The bullies are welcome to drown in their own bile while those of us who want a better world do what we’ve been doing for hundreds of years: Work to make it better while others complain about how we’re doing it.

Today I put Trump’s odds of winning in a landslide back to 98%. Remember, I told you a few weeks ago that Trump couldn’t win unless "something changed."

Something just changed.

How the Elites Blew Up the World
By Laura Ingraham

[Lifezette] Armed with this false premise, U.S. foreign policymakers on both sides of the aisle made a serious of disastrous blunders.

"We should be more than worried. Neither America nor the world can afford a lurch into Trumpian isolationism," wrote Philip Stevens in the Financial Times on Sept. 21.

Everyone from The New York Times to Hillary Clinton herself touted the letter signed by 50 former GOP officials in August, stating their opposition to Donald Trump’s candidacy.

Among other things, the group contended that Trump has little knowledge regarding America’s "vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances and the democratic values" that should undergird our foreign policy.

There is no end to their handwringing and alarmism over the supposed damage a President Trump would do to the United States. The so-called "mainstream" press -- which WikiLeaks has revealed to be little more than a Hillary super PAC -- is full of stories about how Trump presents a threat to the "world order" that has purportedly governed foreign affairs since the end of World War II. But the truth is that the "world order" in question exists only in the minds of those pundits who aren’t paying attention to life on this planet.

The entire concept of a continuous, stable, and peaceful "world order" that goes back to 1945 would come as a shock to the many Americans who lost friends and loved ones on battlefields in Korea, Vietnam, and countless other places during that period. The reality of the situation is that between 1945 and 1990, the United States faced very severe challenges -- not only to any type of "world order," but to its very freedom. Some presidents -- like Reagan and Eisenhower -- dealt with those challenges successfully, helping Americans to enjoy brief periods of peace and prosperity. Others -- like Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter -- failed to meet the foreign policy challenges of their time, and left a more dangerous world to their successors. The whole notion that the world simply ran on autopilot, and that U.S. policymakers had few critical decisions to make, is simply wrong.

They believed that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) would promote better relations in North America, and reduce concerns over illegal immigration. They were wrong.

Instead, illegal immigration from Mexico to the United States surged, while relations between all three NAFTA countries have generally deteriorated. By 2008, even Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were calling for NAFTA to be re-negotiated -- but of course, that was just another empty promise.

They believed that the World Trade Organization (WTO) would serve as a bastion of support for market economies, and would encourage countries like Japan to give up their mercantilist practices. They were wrong.

They believed that the World Trade Organization (WTO) would serve as a bastion of support for market economies, and would encourage countries like Japan to give up their mercantilist practices. They were wrong.

They believed that a weakened Russia could do little to challenge the West. They were wrong.

They believed that spreading democracy in the Middle East would lead to more stable and peaceful governments in that part of the world. They were wrong.

They believed that cramming most of the historic nations of Europe into a single union with a shared currency would lead to peace and prosperity. They were wrong.

They believed that Angela Merkel, the chancellor of Germany, was a force of calm and stability within the Western alliance. They were wrong.

They believed that as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton -- a donor-controlled hack who may be the least persuasive person ever to hold high public office in this country -- could help resolve the significant foreign policy problems that were already becoming obvious by 2009. Instead, she failed at that job, and the world is now less stable and more dangerous than when she went to Foggy Bottom.

In short, by almost any measure, the United States is weaker than it was during the afterglow of the Cold War -- while China, our chief geopolitical adversary, has gotten much stronger. This decline was not inevitable -- certainly no major U.S. policymakers predicted it. Instead, it is the result of a series of foolish mistakes that have consistently undermined our position while making life easier for our enemies.

At this point, it should be obvious that the "world order" for which our elites pine has gone the way of the flip phone and other artifacts from the 1990s. For most Americans, the global economy has become a nightmare from which they are trying to escape.
Read the entire article by Laura Ingraham. Worth the read. A good summary of the globalists policy disasters that let the U.S. down the path to where we are today.

#1  How about the globalists who promoted China's integration into the world market. How has that stabilized relations in East Asia? Made them wealthy at the expense of the American working class (who you still call upon to give up their sons to die for your power) and created a strategic threat intent on 'Making China Great Again' with territorial ambitions.

P2K, Ingraham does "allude" to Washington granting China "most favored nation" status. We'd better watch out or we will get the TTP. The treaty does not seem to be available to read much like ObamaCare--you have to pass it to read it. It cannot be good for American industry and workers judging from past deals. IMO Trump is right about this.

#3  Trump should specify when he says "Make America Great again" me means to the point when the wall fell, before the Bush's, Clinton's, and Obama's fumbled the hard won victory and made the world worse and themselves super-wealthy.

He's hinted at that but not been specific enough so that the left has tried to paint America Great again is some idiotic return to slavery.

Early voting is breaking records in Texas' 10 biggest counties
In a related matter, based on poll data (which Mr. Podesta hopes his efforts have seriously skewed from reality) Texas has been reclassified from a red state to swing state status.

#3  Dont discount Trumps lies and deceitful comments against the favorite son candidate, Cruz. Trump never apolgised, and never made good - so those voters are probably going 3rd party, or else just staying away. There are long political memories in Texas, just ask George HW Bush about Ross Perot.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Texas elections official says ‘human error' likely behind ballot confusion
Get it on video and we'll have something to talk about.
Early voting has started in many states, and some conservative websites are already trafficking in conspiracy theories that the election is being decided unfairly.

On Tuesday, the Drudge Report promoted a story from conspiracy theorist Alex Jones' Info Wars website, which had posted a summary of Facebook posts written by two different women in Texas.

One woman, Lisa Houlette of Canyon, Texas, wrote on Facebook that she thought she had voted for Donald Trump, only to see on the summary page before she cast her ballot that Democrat Hillary Clinton’s name was checked. Houlette could not figure out how to change that vote, and so she requested help from an elections official to fix the mistake.

"I voted a straight Republican ticket and as I scrolled to submit my ballot I noticed that the Republican straight ticket was highlighted, however, the Clinton/Kaine box was also highlighted!" Houlette wrote. "I tried to go back and change and could not get it to work."

But a local elections official told Yahoo News that there was little reason to be alarmed. Shannon Lackey, the elections coordinator for Randall County, said the county’s Hart Voting System was 10 years old but is "working exactly as it was designed to do."

"It undergoes rigorous testing," she said. "It is state and federal certified."

"I believe 100 percent in our equipment. I have done this for 10 years. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t believe in it," Lackey said. "Every person that works in this office has had a background check. It is done in a room that does not have Internet ports."

Lackey said Houlette, the voter, likely hit a button she did not intend.

"I don’t believe there was any malicious intent on anyone’s part, the voter or ours. I think it was human error," Lackey said.

Lackey is an appointed official. She is appointed by an election commission comprised of a county judge, the county clerk, the county tax assessor, and the chairmen of the county Democratic and Republican Parties. She did not vote in a primary election this spring because she did not want to be accused of favoring one party over another, she said.

"With this election in particular there’s been talk about so-called rigging before it even happened. So everybody is on a heightened sense of alarm. Especially in the election world, perception becomes reality and anything that gets reported on Facebook has an ability to take on a life form of its own, and that’s what happened," Lackey said. "I truly believe this voter was trying to make sure her friends checked their vote."

Indeed, Houlette wrote on her Facebook page that anyone reading should "be careful and double check your selections before you cast your vote! Don’t hesitate to ask for help."

Yahoo News has asked Houlette for comment.

Republican nominee Donald Trump, trailing in the polls, has repeatedly attacked the U.S. election system as "rigged," while alleging widespread voter fraud -- and without providing any evidence for such a claim. No evidence of widespread fraud or voting-machine malfunction in modern elections has been found.

Far too easy for one person who understands the system to rig an electronic system, because there is no way of detecting insider fraud without a paper trail or other means of reconciliation.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Parrot reveals husband's affair with housemaid to wife by repeating smu++y chats
A parrot landed its owner in hot water after accidentally exposing a husband's affair with the housekeeper - in front of his wife.

The pesky bird began repeating the conversations the man was having with his lover, causing suspicion with his wife .

Realising that the parrot was picking up the flirty comments from inside the home, she put two and two together and exposed their love affair.

The couple live in Kuwait, where adultery is illegal, and so the wife marched to police with the parrot as evidence.
Hopefully the parrot had the sense to tell the police that if anything happened to him that it was probably the husband.
Luckily for her spouse, they rejected it on the basis that the bird could have overheard the sweet nothings on the TV or radio.
I think hubby owes everyone at the police station a lifetime supply of whatever passes for donuts in Kuwait.
The wife said she has suspected for some time that her husband was cheating on her, according to local newspaper Al Shahed Daily.

Adultery in Kuwait can result in a prison sentence or forced hard labour.
Unfortunately for hubby, parrots can live quite a while.

#3  1. A man always wanted a parrot and one day while walking buy a pet shop he sees one for sale... cheap.
So he goes in and buys it. The man takes it home and the parrot starts to cuss really bad. The man calles the pet store back and the shop keeps says "You get what you pay for".

So the man has this parrot sitting there and it is cussing up a storm. The man starts to yell at it and the parrot starts to cuss at the man and tell the man to leave it alone.
Finally the man in frustration gets up, takes the parrot and throws it into the freezer.
After a few minutes the parrot starts to bang on the door and pleads with the mad to let it out.
So the man feels sorry for the bird and takes it out of the freezer.

The parrot flys onto the man's sholder and apologizes up and down and makes the man promise him that he will never put it back into the freezer again. He tells the man he will not cuss anymore and the man is very suprised indeed.

After placing the parrot back in its cage, the parrot looks at the man and says "By the way, I just gotta ask you. What did the chicken do?"

2. One day a man went to an auction.
While there, he bid on an exotic parrot. He really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in the bidding. He kept on bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he bid higher and higher and higher.
Finally, after he bid way more than he intended, he won the bid - the fine bird was finally his!

As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the Auctioneer, "I sure hope this parrot can talk. I would hate to have paid this much for it, only to find out that he can't talk!"

"Don't worry", said the Auctioneer, "He can talk. Who do you think kept bidding against you?"

#5  This is one that Bobby Bowden told to great effect on the chicken circuit, it requires perfect timing.

A lady was walking past a pet store when a parrot said, ''Hey, lady! You're really ugly!" The lady was furious and continued on her way.

On the way home, she passed by the pet store again and the parrot once more said "Hey, lady! You're really ugly!" She was incredibly ticked now, so she went into the store and said that she would sue the store and kill the bird. The store manager apologized profusely and promised he would make sure the parrot didn't say it again.

The next day, she deliberately passed by the store to test the parrot. "Hey, lady!" it said.

"Yes?"

"You know."

#6  My brother used to have a parrot called Horton that was the most amazing mimic. It would copy everything it heard. Even a choral group that practiced in the house.

One day it flew off, he put up fliers around Berkley where he lived.

LOST GREEN PARROT CALLED HORTON

A couple of days later someone called, saying they had found a parrot, which when asked 'What's your name', replied 'Horton'.

Israel's next Gaza war will be 'last' one: Lieberman
Maybe I'll move to Israel where the leaders make sense.
[Yahoo] Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Monday that Israel's next war with Gaza militants would be their last "because we will completely destroy them," but added he remains committed to a two-state solution.

Lieberman, speaking in an interview with Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds, said however that he did not want another war in Gaza, which would be the fourth since 2008.

The outspoken former foreign minister urged Palestinians to pressure Hamas, the Islamist movement that runs the Gaza Strip, to "stop your crazy policies".

"As minister of defence, I would like to clarify that we have no intention of starting a new war against our neighbours in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, Lebanon or Syria," he told the Jerusalem-based newspaper.

- Criticising Abbas -
"But in Gaza, like the Iranians, they intend to eliminate the state of Israel... If they impose the next war on Israel, it will be their last. I would like to emphasise again: It will be their last confrontation because we will completely destroy them."

Lieberman is part of what is seen as the most right-wing government in Israeli history, with several prominent members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition openly opposing a Palestinian state.

But while he lives in a West Bank settlement and is known as a security-minded hardliner, Lieberman believes in a two-state solution to the conflict based on land swaps.

He reiterated that position in the interview, saying he sees the main settlement blocks in the occupied West Bank remaining part of Israel under a final peace deal.

He raised the possibility of trading Arab areas of Israel on the edge of the northern West Bank, such as the city of Umm al-Fahm, in exchange for settlements.

Land swaps have long been part of proposals to resolve the decades-old conflict, but the two sides remain far apart on issues such as the status of Jerusalem and the return of Palestinian refugees.

Peace efforts have been at a complete standstill since a US-led initiative collapsed in April 2014.

- 'Sermons and lies' -
"Today, I think the majority of our people do not believe it is possible to reach any agreement regarding the final status solution, and the same with the Palestinians," said Lieberman.

"The first step would be convincing the people it is possible by making serious improvements in the state of the economy and fighting unemployment, poverty and misery among the Palestinians. And for Israelis, provide security without terrorism or bloodshed for a while."

He spoke of a period of three years without violence and with economic improvement in the Palestinian territories as being capable of leading to progress.

Lieberman, who took office in May, also criticised Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, accusing him of failing to make compromises.

He predicted Abbas would lose if elections were held, with polls showing most Palestinians would like the 81-year-old to resign.

Such elections could lead to Hamas taking power in the West Bank, where Abbas's secular Fatah party dominates, but Lieberman said he believed a different outcome was possible.

"There are enough sensible people in the (Palestinian Authority) who understand the situation and know if there is a choice to make between Hamas and Israel, they think partnering with Israel will be better for them," said the leader of the hardline nationalist Yisrael Beiteinu (Israel Is Our Home) party.

Lieberman has recently spoken of trying to bypass Palestinian leaders and reach out directly to communities, and his interview appeared to be part of that effort.

Al-Quds, the top-selling paper in the Palestinian territories, was heavily criticised on social media by Palestinians who say it should not have agreed to the interview as it amounted to sanctioning "normalisation" with an occupying power.

The Palestinian foreign ministry accused Lieberman of "promoting a bunch of sermons and lies that contradict signed agreements and violate international law."

Before taking over as defence minister, Lieberman made a series of controversial statements, including one directed at Ismail Haniya, Hamas's Gaza leader.

Lieberman said he would give Haniya 48 hours to hand over two detained Israeli civilians and the bodies of soldiers killed in a 2014 war "or you're dead".

He has since backed off and said he is committed to "responsible, reasonable policy".

#1  If there is another war the Israeli's should relocate the Palestians in North Gaza down into South Gaza. Declare war, lose half your land. Declare war again... Even the dimwitted Palestinians would get the message.

On the cleared section the Israeli's should level everything and plant whatever crops can grow in that area or something but don't build.

Gingrich goes off on Megyn Kelly over Trump allegations (Video)
[The Hill] Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on Tuesday evening accused Fox News' Megyn Kelly of being "fascinated with sex" after she asked about the women who have accused Donald Trump of sexual assault.

In a contentious segment on Kelly's show, Gingrich, a top Trump adviser and surrogate, batted down questions about Trump's accusers and about a tape that showed the GOP nominee bragging about kissing and grabbing women without their consent.

"I am sick and tired of people like you using that language. That is inflammatory, that is not true," Gingrich said, pointing his finger at the camera after Kelly used the term "sexual predator" to describe the allegations.

"When you use those words, you take a position, and it is very unfair of you to do that, Megyn," Gingrich said.

Kelly shot back: "I think your defensiveness on this may speak volumes, sir."

She continued: "Let me make my point ... If Mr. Trump is a sexual predator, then it is a big story. And what we saw on that tape was Trump saying himself he likes to grab women by their genitals and kiss them against their will. That's what we saw. And then we saw 10 women come forward after he denied actually doing it."

Gingrich continued to argue that the media focuses too much on the recent Trump scandal while largely ignoring WikiLeaks' release of emails from the Clinton campaign.

"You are fascinated with sex and you don't care about public policy," Gingrich said.

"Me, really?" Kelly asked.

"That's what I get out of watching you tonight," Gingrich said.

She retorted: "You know what, Mr. Speaker? I am not fascinated by sex, but I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we're getting in the Oval Office."

#7  Sexual misconduct allegations against one of the candidates in a presidential election is a legitimate news story. That's not to say the recent revelations of the Clinton corruption isn't. Gingrich was correct that news coverage overall shows both laziness and bias but he totally went into deflection mode. Not surprising really, Newt has always been a phony fuck. The only difference is now he's reeaallly hoping for a cabinat position.

Except these "allegations" are transparently false. It's not like Trump has been a recluse with no assets up until this moment -- he'd have been a gold mine for these women at any moment. The timing, and the choice of venues, speaks volumes to their credibility. They have none.

#17  All journalists are fascinated by sex. It sells more newspapers than anything else. It raises ratings more than anything else. That being said, responsible journalists should avoid bias and smut. Further, I think of a sexual predator as a rapist and/or child molester who may even be capable of murder or kidnapping to facilitate or hide the crime and who is unable under any circumstances to control himself and belongs in jail, kinda like that Arab in Austria who claimed he had a "sexual emergency". (BTW, I never heard where that Arab-colonist-sexual-emergency-boy-rapist-child-molester received any coverage by any of the major news networks most likely because of his protected status as a Muslim immigrantcolonist.) The term sexual predator is far more inflammatory than Trump deserves based on any of the accusations we've heard. It is indicative of bias, pandering to prurient interests and yellow journalism of the worst kind. Together with her opening attack on Trump in the first of the primary debates it puts Megyn Kelly in the same category as the yellow journalists who work for ABCNBCCBSCNN. She has compromised her integrity and her credibility.

Gingrich did a great job of calling her on it.

Kelly's attack question was;

Looking back, her question was almost...prescient. Except for the fact it was so obvious that if Trump got the nomination his past comments would be used against him. Had he answered with even the tiniest slice of humility instead of cocking off like a Brooklyn wise guy he might have been better off for the predictable October slime.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Why HRC plans for no-fly zones in Syria could provoke US-Russia conflict
[Guardian] Retired senior US military pilots are increasingly alarmed that Hillary Clinton's proposal for "no-fly zones" in Syria could lead to a military confrontation with Russia that could escalate to levels that were previously unthinkable in the post-cold war world.

The former strategists spoke to the Guardian as Clinton’s Republican rival Donald Trump warned that Clinton’s proposal to establish "safe zones" to protect beleaguered Syrian civilians would "lead to world war three".

The proposal of no-fly zones has been fiercely debated in Washington for the past five years, but has never attracted significant enthusiasm from the military because of the risk to pilots from Syrian air defenses and the presence of Russian warplanes.

Many in US national security circles consider the risk of an aerial confrontation with the Russians to be severe.

3. Humiliating negotiations until we get the pilot back.

#7  Yeah not could, already was floated and pulled back because it will.

There are a couple other players in this game, too, one of which already shot down a Russian plane.

The air-defense assets Russia pumped into Syria were there, rather quickly, to prevent a strike on Assad himself. Syria is going to want to have its own no-fly zone at whatever distance they feel protects Assad/vital targets. These two NFZs will overlap.

Remember, we were going to war, maybe without a vote from Congress, until Kerry's butthole fell out of his mouth with the 'If Syria removes all of its chemical weapons' mistake = our salvation.

And having a safe zone, if you will, next to a country you are trying to overthrow is classic insurgency wins condition - really think Team Assad is going to like that?

Forget about speculation on other events, Hillary promised de facto War on Russia on national television as a campaign goal. This is not loose cannon potential conflict theory, campaign promise.

Obama steers clear as North Dakota pipeline protests veer out of control
[Wash Times] Having lent support to the North Dakota pipeline protesters, the Obama administration is stiff-arming requests for more federal assistance as the situation on the ground at the massive encampment grows increasingly volatile.

Six states sent law enforcement support to the Dakota Access pipeline site after several law enforcement officers were hurt in last weekend’s clashes that saw 127 arrests, the shooting of a drone that buzzed a helicopter and the use of pepper spray against protesters who charged a police line.

Even so, the Justice Department said it has no plans to provide more resources. So far the agency has provided mediators to "facilitate communication, defuse tensions, support peaceful protests and maintain public safety," said spokesman Wyn Hornbuckle.

"The department has also offered technical assistance and community policing resources to local law enforcement in support of these goals," said Mr. Hornbuckle in a statement, adding that the agency is "taking the situation in North Dakota seriously."

He also reiterated the Obama administration’s request for Energy Transfer Partners to stop work voluntarily on the pipeline project, which the company has declined to do, in order for the Army Corps of Engineers to review issues raised by the Standing Rock Sioux tribe.

Colin Powell to vote for greedy candidate whose husband is still probably "d*cking bimbos"
(CNN) Former Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell said Tuesday he'll vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, a high-profile snub of his party's standard-bearer, Donald Trump.
His party? As I recall, he voted for Barack Obama twice.
Powell, who also served in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, backed President Barack Obama in both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns.
Ask, and ye shall be answered. ;-)
He announced his plan to a Long Island group during a luncheon. The announcement was confirmed by Powell's chief of staff, Peggy Cifrino.
He's retired, I thought. Why on earth does he need a staff with a chief to boss it?
Aides informed Clinton of Powell's support after her early voting rally Tuesday afternoon in Florida. She is grateful for his support, one aide said.

Later, Clinton's campaign tweeted, "Proud to have the endorsement of General Powell, a decorated soldier and distinguished statesman," signed with an "H" indicating her personal approval.
I'll believe it when WikiLeaks releases it.

Science & Technology
Here's the Wing-Body Tanker That Could Refuel the F-35
I hadn't really given this much thought, but it makes sense that you don't want the weak link in the system to be refueling a stealth jet with a flying barn.
To refuel the F-22 and F-35 deep in enemy territory, the Air Force is going to need something a little less obvious on a radar screen.

The U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command recently announced the "KC-Z" program intended to develop a next-generation tanker aircraft--one that could fly into dangerous airspace to support strike fighters like the F-22 and F-35--by 2035. Lockheed Martin was the first to answer the call for ideas, and that company recently released design information about a hybrid wing-body aircraft with short take-off and landing capabilities, according to Aviation Week.

Although the new tanker wouldn't have a high level of stealth, the low profile of a blended wing-body airframe would naturally produce a smaller radar cross-section than current tankers. (The KC-10 Extender and KC-135 Stratotanker, and even the KC-36 Pegasus that is currently under development, all have large-body designs similar to commercial airliners.) Lockheed is also considering embedding the engines within the airframe to keep the KC-Z as stealthy as possible to avoid radar detection, surface-to-air missiles, and other anti-aircraft weapons.

Lockheed has already begun wind-tunnel testing on a four percent scale model of a new Hybrid Wing Body (HWB) airlifter designed for maximized aerodynamic efficiency. As Lockheed's aerospace engineers conduct flight tests on the 45-pound HWB model, they could use the data not only to develop the HWB but also to jumpstart a tanker program with a similar blended wing-body design.

The new tanker would have a few necessary design changes compared to the airlifter, though. The airlifter is designed with a "T" tail to accommodate airdrops, for example, while the tanker is more likely to have an "H" tail to keep the aircraft's radar profile low while adding stability and enhanced flight control. The external overwing nacelles on the airlifter that support large, fuel-efficient high-bypass engines might be replaced with either two or four embedded engines on the tanker for improved stealth, as Kenneth Martin, Lockheed Martin's principal engineer for advanced mobility, told Aviation Week.

Martin suggested the KC-Z could include both offensive and defensive countermeasures, such as stealth coating or even lasers defenses. He also says that automating the refueling process would reduce the amount of time needed to top off other aircraft, thereby improving survivability, since the act of refueling leaves aircraft vulnerable to detection by radar or even direct attack. Martin said to Aviation Week:

"If we believe Google and others that we'll all be operating self-driving cars, it seems to us the technology is being matured across the entire [science and technology] community to allow significantly more automation. We're committing very hard to perhaps not totally eliminating the boom operator but recreating the operator's job to be a systems monitor; it could even be a copilot who is basically monitoring the process."

The Air Force's official study on the next-generation tanker is expected to begin in the next six months. It is unclear at this point which aerospace companies other than Lockheed will submit design proposals for the KC-Z program, but with the HWB scale model prepped for flight, a tanker model could be entering Lockheed's wind tunnels sooner rather than later.

Perhaps the Ascot Corps could designate a few B-2s as Lightning tankers......

HRC Campaign Chair Had Multiple Dinners With Top DOJ Official During HRC Email Investigation
[Daily Caller] The day after Hillary Clinton testified in front of the House Select Committee on Benghazi last October, John Podesta, the Democrat’s campaign chairman, met for dinner with a small group of well-connected friends, including Peter Kadzik, a top official at the Justice Department.

The dinner arrangement, revealed in hacked Podesta emails released by Wikileaks, is just the latest example of an apparent conflict of interest between the Clinton campaign and the federal agency charged with investigating the former secretary of state’s email practices.

Podesta and Kadzik, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, were in frequent contact, other emails show. In one email from January, Kadzik and Podesta, who were classmates at Georgetown Law School in the 1970s, discussed plans to celebrate Podesta’s birthday. And in another sent last May, Kadzik’s son emailed Podesta asking for a job on the Clinton campaign.

The post-Benghazi dinner was attended by Podesta, Kadzik, super lobbyist Vincent Roberti and other well-placed Beltway fixtures.

The exchanges are another example of the Clinton campaign’s "cozy relationship" with the Obama Justice Department, one former U.S. Attorney tells The Daily Caller.

Italy police bust Nigerian smuggling and prostitution ring

[Ynet] Police in Italy have arrested 11 Nigerians for allegedly trafficking young women and girls from Nigeria to exploit them as sex slaves. The victims, all under age 25 and some as young as 16, traveled through Libya before crossing the Mediterranean by boat with thousands of other migrants.

Police Officer Antonio Salvago in the southern Italian city of Catania said Monday that the victims underwent a voodoo rite to bind them to their debts after they promised to pay up to 40,000 euros ($43,000) for a journey they thought would bring them to a better life in Europe. Salvago says the rite made them obey their smugglers and pimps.

An editor of Austria’s largest paper, Kronen Zeitung, is to be tried in an Austrian court for hate speech over a commentary he wrote about the migrant crisis last year.

EU to extend by three months border checks in Schengen zone
[Iran Press TV] The European Commission, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
’s executive arm, has moved to extend by three more months regulations requiring border controls in its visa-free travel area of Schengen.

The commission said on Tuesday that it was not yet on the position to restore full functioning with no border controls across the Schengen, recommending continued checks at the borders of Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and non-EU Norway for three months starting in November.

The European Commission was expected to allow the removal of the controls in Schengen, an area which includes 22 EU countries as well as Norway, Iceland, Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
and Liechtenstein, but it said a continued influx of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa into Europe was the main reason for missing the target.

European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans said in a statement that the border controls were needed to prevent secondary movements of "a significant number" of irregular refugees that still remained in Greece and in other member states.

Gunmen kill 2 Soddy kops in Dammam
[al-Manar] Unidentified gunmen killed two Saudi policemen in the eastern city of Dammam early on Tuesday, authorities in the region said.

The officers came under “heavy fire from an unknown source” as they parked their vehicle in a commercial area, the Saudi Press Agency quoted a police spokesman as saying.

The spokesman did not say who police suspected had carried out the shooting, the latest in a series of attacks on officers in the oil-rich east of the kingdom.

Two policemen were killed in a similar attack in Dammam last month.

Kazakh court hands terrorist 12 year sentence
[RFE/RL] A court in Kazakhstan's northwestern city of Aqtobe has sentenced a man to 12 years in prison after convicting him on terror charges.

The court on October 25 found Nurlan Omirbekov guilty of fomenting terrorism and religious extremism, kidnapping, robbery, extortion, and inciting hatred. It sentenced him the same day. Two co-defendants were convicted of assisting Omirbekov in kidnapping and were sentenced to eight years in jail each.

Investigators say Omirbekov planned to join Daesh in Syria.

In June, 25 Islamic militants carried out a series of attacks in Aqtobe that left five civilians and three members of Kazakhstan's security forces dead. Security forces killed 18 gunmen and arrested several others.

In 2011, a resident of Aqtobe carried out what was described as the first-ever suicide bombing in Kazakhstan.

Bangladesh
Eight militants of Kallyanpur den still out of reach
[Dhaka Tribune] Eight mid-level leaders of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
-styled turban outfit New JMB who frequently visited their Kallyanpur flat could not be nabbed
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
though three months have passed since the law enforcers busted the den and killed nine members on July 26.

Counter-terrorism officials termed it a big success in combating extremism since the deadly group’s Holey Artisan Bakery attack on July 1 when 24 people, mostly foreigners, were shot and hacked. But as of now, two of the eight have fled to India dodging the police.

There were 11 trained snuffies staying in the fifth-floor flat of Jahazbari at Kallyanpur when police’s Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit and Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) teams carried out "Operation Storm 26" to end a 12-hour stand-off.

One of the two others, identified as Iqbal, managed to flee the scene.
... as though they had never been...
but the other, Raqibul Hasan Rigan, was arrested and later treated at a hospital as he sustained injuries. Rigan also gave confessional statement in a court.

Based on his information, the law enforcers learnt that at least nine mid-level leaders of the outfit used to visit the flat to provide them with logistics. One of them was New JMB’s military and operations commander Tamim Ahmed Chowdhury, who was later killed along with two other associates in Narayanganj on August 27.

Eight of the nine snuffies killed on July 26 were identified as Md Abdullah of Dinajpur; Abu Hakim Nayeem of Patuakhali; Taj-ul-Haque Rashiq of Dhanmondi, Dhaka; Akifuzzaman Khan of Gulshan; Sehzad Rauf Arko of Bashundhara Residential Area; Motiur Rahman of Satkhira; Jubayer Hossain of Noakhali; and Rayhan Kabir of Rangpur.

In the FIR filed over the Kallyanpur incident, police named eight other snuffies of New JMB ‐ Iqbal, Ripon, Khalid, Mamun, Manik, Junayed Hasan Khan, Badal and Azadul Kabiraj.

When contacted, CTTC chief Monirul Islam admitted that Khalid and Ripon had already crossed the border, and that they were conducting drives to arrest the others.

The Operation Storm 26 was launched based on information that some snuffies were staying in a flat of Jahazbari on Road 5 of Kallyanpur on July 25. Mirpur police and local people accompanied the special forces during the drive.

The snuffies used bullets and grenades when the police knocked the door, prompting them to back off. The operation was carried out around 6am for one hour. According to Rigan, six of the dead snuffies were suicide squad members.

In the flat, the law enforcers also recovered some documents about the New JMB and a flag of the IS group. Before the operation, the snuffies took photos wearing IS-style dresses and holding guns and knives.

Monirul said that the families of the dead snuffies had not contacted them for the bodies. So the police handed those over to Anjuman Mufidul Islam for burial. He added that the families could take the bodies upon permission of the court.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Kinnison began his slow infiltration of the sewer system...
the Jahazbari building has been left vacant since the raid. Five police constables are guarding the main gate of the six-storey house. They said that police highups asked them to prevent anyone from entering the building.

Mahbub Hossain Bhuiyan, OC of Mirpur police, told the Dhaka Tribune yesterday that they had cordoned off the building to protect the scene of the crime. "We will open the building once the CTTC unit gives the green signal," he added.

Ex-wanted Saudi was Qaeda commander, returned from Iran
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Wanted Saudi man Osama Ali Abdullah Damjan -- who surrendered himself to police in early October--was reportedly a senior al-Qaeda commander who likely fled to Iran.

Damjan left Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
to Afghanistan in 2001 before the September 11 terrorist attacks against the United States, sources speaking to Alarabiya.net revealed.

The sources claimed that Damjan was admitted to al-Qaeda’s Al Farooq training camp near Kandahar, one of the late Osama bin Laden
... who doesn't live anywhere anymore...
's key bases.

Damjan had been training at the camp during bin Laden’s presence. Bin Laden's successor Ayman al-Zawahiri
... Formerly second in command of al-Qaeda, now the head cheese, occasionally described as the real brains of the outfit. Formerly the Mister Big of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Bumped off Abdullah Azzam with a car boom in the course of one of their little disputes. Is thought to have composed bin Laden's fatwa entitled World Islamic Front Against Jews and Crusaders. Currently residing in the North Wazoo area assuming he's not dead like Mullah Omar. He lost major face when he ordered the nascent Islamic State to cease and desist and merge with the orthodx al-Qaeda spring, al-Nusra...
and Abu Musab al Zarqawi -- the founder of al-Qaeda in Iraq -- also received training in the same place.

After the United States waged war on al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan, Damjan joined the terrorist group’s commanders who fled to Iran.

In 2003, Damjan -- who was also known under the Islamist alias "Abu Jawahir" -- appeared in Iraq fighting along Al Zarqawi, and was later appointed as the emir of the Iraqi city of Qaem.

Conflicting reports on websites affiliated with al-Qaeda reported that Damjan was killed in 2010 in Wazoo, Pakistain.

Other websites said he died inside a prison in the ISIS-stronghold Syrian city of Raqqa, which could reflect that the al-Qaeda commander was not on good terms with ISIS.

However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
Damjan was still alive and surrendered himself to police in early October, the Saudi Interior Ministry stated Tuesday.

The ministry said he "had contacted the security authorities in the Kingdom and expressed his wish to return and surrender himself to security authorities," according to a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency.

Damjan arrived in Saudi Arabia on October 4, 2016.

A couple of questions if I may - you know, the kind an actual journalist might ask. Why was the treatment denied? "Chemotherapy " is often a vague discription was it an "experimental " drug. What Insurance company was involved? Did the author even bother to ask for a comment from said company? Does this company actually cover treatment that intentionally results in suicide? Or are these so-called life ending drugs actually just pain medication that might be taken by the fistful with a tall glass of bourbon? What, exactly in the new CA law allows insurance companies to deny coverage they previously approved? And last one. Who buys into these bullshit propaganda stories anyway?

Syrian rebels begin operation isolating Raqqa
[ARA News] Damascus – The US-led coalition has launched a new military operation in northern Syria aimed at isolating the ISIS-held city of Raqqa. The coalition started “laying the groundwork” for the operation, US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said on Tuesday.

“We have already begun laying the groundwork for our partners to commence the isolation of Raqqa,” Carter said, in reference to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and other allied groups.

This comes as the Kurdish Peshmerga forces and Iraqi Army troops, backed by the US-led coalition, continued military operations against ISIS in Mosul, in northwestern Iraq, for the second week.

Raqqa is ISIS’ de facto capital in Syria, while Mosul is the group’s de facto capital in Iraq. As the joint Iraqi-Kurdish assault on Mosul has intensified, ISIS started to fortify its headquarters in Raqqa.

“Today we resolved to follow through with that same sense of urgency and focus on enveloping and collapsing ISIS’ control of Raqqa,” Carter said.

Carter and ministers from 12 other countries attended talks in Paris on Tuesday.

“There will be some simultaneity to these two operations [in Mosul and Raqqa],” the US Defense Chief said earlier on Sunday.

In the meantime, ISIS has started to tighten its security measures in the city of Raqqa since last Wednesday. According to eyewitnesses and activists, the extremist group has imposed a curfew in the city centre, installed new checkpoints and erected concrete road blocks. There has also been a two-week-long state of alert amongst ISIS jihadists.

“ISIS erected barriers between major districts of Raqqa city,” media activist Abdulkarim al-Yousef told ARA News in Raqqa. “New security checkpoints have been installed across the city, including near the al-Naeem Roundabout, al-Muhafaza Square, Saad Bin Muaz Mosque and al-Zedan Square.”

SURVEY: Two-thirds of doctors see Hillary ‘abnormal eye movements'
Concerns about Hillary Clinton's health have been subdued after her three debate performances. She presented her ability to survive 4-and-a-half hours on a stage with Donald Trump as proof of sufficient stamina to serve as commander-in-chief.

"She evidently intended this as a joke, although I suspect our combat veterans would not be amused," states AAPS executive director Jane Orient, M.D.

Videos are, however, circulating on the internet, from her rather brief and rare appearances in public, which are purported to show pathological eye movements.

"These are quick, episodic, and inconsistent," states Dr. Orient, who is an internist. "So we decided to ask doctors on our email list to have a look at one of the videos. A helpful tool is to paste the URL into RowVid.com and watch it at half or quarter speed."

Nearly two-thirds of respondents said they saw abnormal movements. Only 15% did not, and 21% were unsure. There are long segments in which the eye movements appear normal.

About 60% of those who saw abnormal movements thought "the cause could be a potentially disabling neurological condition," and none of them were willing to say that it isn't.

Such movements signify an abnormality in portions of the brain that coordinate the eye muscles. There is a long differential diagnosis.

Possibilities the respondents suggested include increased intracranial pressure (she is at risk for that because of her history of head trauma and a transverse sinus clot); a drug effect; or a chronic degenerative neurological condition.

#2  Possibilities the respondents suggested include increased intracranial pressure

"Increased intracranial pressure (ICP) is a rise in pressure around your brain. It may be due to an increase in the amount of fluid surrounding your brain. For example, there may be an increased amount of the cerebrospinal fluid that naturally cushions your brain or an increase in blood in the brain due to an injury or a ruptured tumor.

Increased ICP can also mean that your brain tissue itself is swelling, either from injury or from an illness such as meningitis. Increased ICP can be the result of a brain injury. Alternately, it can cause a brain injury.

Increased ICP is a life-threatening condition. A person showing symptoms of increased ICP must get emergency medical help right away."

Insurgents Confiscated Half Budget for School Books
Skool's out!
Aden – Yemeni Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas announced that insurgents confiscated half the amount allocated for printing school books of the state school. He also indicated that the books published had been altered to their own benefit which prompted the ministry to cancel the Arabic Language books of ninth grade and grade one.

The minister added that the insurgents canceled the reading curriculum of 2014 in an attempt to change historic facts agreed on by both Shi’ites and Sunnis.

According to the minister, the militias destroyed in one year everything built by the minister over the course of 15 years. He revealed that the country lost 80 million dollars allocated for education. He also added that this amount was given to Yemen due to international partnership and cooperation between the World Bank and many other parties.

The minister said the results of the exams in liberated districts will be announced tomorrow during a press conference in the temporary capital Aden and will be available at the ministry’s website.

Lamlas added that the results can’t be sent to Sana’a out of fear of tampering. He also pointed out that Telecommunication Company is under insurgency’s control which prompted the ministry to establish a website to post results.

The minister explained that due to the war, many civilians were displaced from Taiz, Bayda, and other districts which caused an increase in number of students in classes. He also pointed that in some areas some schools contained 170 students in a single class.

As for the cholera outburst, the ministry decided to close schools and educational institutions in areas that were infected until medical sources confirm the disease is contained and under control.

The minister concluded that having over two million students in the liberated districts requires support and funding for supplies and school books.

According to Tunisian security officials speaking on Tuesday, the two suspects, allegedly brothers of 29 and 32 years of age, were from the US state of Michigan and were apprehended over possession of videos and pictures praising the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group (ISIS), Rooters reported.

A report by the Tunisian TV Channel Nessma TV said the two possessed plans to blow up a number of institutions, as well as calls to join the Takfiri group.

A front man for Tunisia’s Ministry of Interior confirmed the report, saying that the two brothers claimed to have been studying computer science at a university in Jendouba, north-western Tunisia.

He added that the two had rented a house in Jendouba and one of them had married a Tunisian woman who had traveled to Syria.

After local residents became suspicious of the pair and contacted authorities, ISIS-related content was discovered on their personal laptops.

Police sources said both suspects were "heavily bearded, unwashed and living in poor conditions", adding that they had United Arab Emirates stamps in their passports.

Obamacare Architect: Obamacare Premium Increases Are ‘Going to Be Severe' For ‘A Million People'
[Breitbart] On Tuesday's broadcast of CNN's "The Lead," Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the architects of Obamacare, stated that "There's a million people" for whom Obamacare premium increases are "going to be severe -- or uncomfortable."

Emanuel said that "most" Americans are not seeing 25% premium increases, because they get subsidies. He added, "[T]here are some relatively simple fixes. One is better social marketing to get young people in. Another is these risk corridors for the insurance companies, so that they can keep premiums lower. Another is to change...how much older people pay versus younger people, to decrease the cost for younger people overall. And the real ultimate test, Jake, is, can we keep healthcare costs low, and then insurance premiums don't have to go up. And, so far, the ACA has been doing a pretty good job keeping insurance premiums low, and we have to redouble those efforts."
When you hit the reef, go full power...I guess.
This is the utilitarian ethicist who admitted to lying to the public about this thing because it's important, and who continues to lie about it each time he opens his mouth. They must be getting worried.

Shabaab Suicide Bomber Strikes AU base in Somalia
[AnNahar] A Shabaab jacket wallah rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into an African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
military base in central Somalia on Tuesday, a security official said.

The kaboom was followed by heavy gunfire at the Djiboutian base in the city of Beledweyne.

Witness Ismail Mahad described seeing "clouds of smoke caused by the heavy blast" followed by "exchange of gunfire at the Djiboutian camp".

"There was a suicide kaboom targeting the Djiboutian military base in western Beledweyne," said Abdullah Ibrahim, a local security official who added the number of casualties was not yet known.

The al-Qaeda-linked Shabaab myrmidon group said, via its Radio Andalus media organization, that it was responsible for the attack, claiming "the death and injury of many soldiers".

The Shabaab, which is fighting to overthrow the internationally-backed government in Mogadishu, regularly attacks AU Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) bases as well as government and civilian targets.

In recent weeks Æthiopian troops deployed in the nearby area have withdrawn from some of their positions, with no explanation given for the movement of troops back towards Beledweyne, the bustling provincial capital.

Each time Shabaab fighters immediately reoccupied the abandoned towns.

Another hostage: Iranian-American held in Iran gets 18-year sentence — report
[IsraelTimes] An Iranian-American held in Tehran has reportedly been sentenced to 18 years in prison for "collaboration with a hostile government," becoming yet another dual national convicted in a secret trial since Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers.

The sentence handed down to Robin Shahini, a 46-year-old graduate student who lives in San Diego, is the harshest yet for those detained in what analysts believe is hard-liner plan to use them as bargaining chips in future negotiations.

Shahini tells Vice News in an interview aired late on Monday that he "just laughed" after hearing his sentence. He acknowledges supporting the protests that followed Iran’s disputed 2009 presidential election, but denies being involved in any sort of spying.

"Whatever information they had is all the pictures I posted in Facebook, in my web blog, and they use all those evidence to accuse me," Shahini says in a telephone call from prison.

Iranian judiciary officials do not respond to request for comment from The News Agency that Dare Not be Named, nor does Iran’s mission to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
In a statement, the US State Department says it is troubled by reports of Shahini’s sentence.

"We reaffirm our calls on Iran to respect and protect human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
and fundamental freedoms, cease arbitrary and politically motivated detentions and ensure fair and transparent judicial proceedings," it says.

Israel postpones choosing new ambassador to Turkey
[IsraelTimes] Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday postponed a meeting to nominate a new ambassador to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
The meeting, scheduled for October 27, has been pushed off and no new date has been set, according to Channel 2.

A Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed to The Times of Israel that the meeting had been delayed, but did not offer an explanation.

The recent reconciliation deal hit a bump last week, however, when a Turkish court refused to dismiss a case against members of the Israeli military, a key condition of the agreement. Dismissing the legal charges against IDF officers connected to a 2010 naval raid on a Turkish flotilla trying to breach Israel’s blockade of the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,-controlled Gazoo Strip was a central Israeli condition for the June agreement.

Appointing a new ambassador is a key component of the agreement. Earlier this month, Turkish media reported that Kemal Okem, a close associate of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
, had been selected as Turkey’s ambassador to Israel.

Diyala Devastations
2 ISIS operatives detained in Baqubah

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – Diyala Police Command announced on Tuesday arresting two senior leaders of the Islamic State in central Baqubah, and pointed out that the two leaders fled from the city of Mosul.

Spokesman for Diyala Police Command, Colonel Ghalib Attiya, said in a press statement, “Forces from Diyala emergency regiments and the Ministry of Interior’s intelligence managed, this morning, to arrest two senior leaders of ISIS during a security operation in al-Tahrir area, in central Baqubah.”

“The two leaders escaped from the city of Mosul after the security forces started the military battles to liberate Nineveh Province,” Attiya explained. “The operation was carried out based on accurate intelligence information,” Attiya added.

The ISIS and other armed group imposed their control over the province of Diyala, after capturing the cities of Mosul and Tikrit, but the security forces and al-Hashd al-Shaabi managed to liberate some of these areas.

Iraqi kops stop suicide bombing in Baqubah

(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – Diyala Police Command announced on Tuesday foiling a suicide attack on the eastern checkpoint, northeast of Baqubah, and pointed out that the suicide bomber was holding a false identity.

Diyala Police Chief, Major General Jassim al-Saadi, said in a press statement, “Security forces managed, this morning, to monitor a suicide bomber while taking a taxi and moving toward the eastern checkpoint in Qura Tabba area, northeast of Baqubah,” pointing out that, “The forces from the checkpoint shot the suicide bomber who tried to flee, killing him on the spot.”

“The suicide bomber was holding a false identity issued from Rusafa Civil Status Directorate,” Saadi explained. “The vigilance of our forces prevented the terrorist from achieving his goal and detonating himself near security forces and civilians,” Saadi added.

The ISIS and other armed group, such as Army of the Men of the Naqshbandi Order, imposed their control over the province of Diyala, after capturing the cities of Mosul and Tikrit, but the security forces and al-Hashd al-Shaabi managed to liberate some of these areas.

15-year-old Arab-Israeli killed on Egyptian border
Sometimes bad things happen to good people.
[Ynet] Victim, shot while carrying out reinforcement work on the security fence between Israel and Egypt, succumbs to wounds sustained after an Egyptian border policeman allegedly opened fire in an apparent misunderstanding; Israeli investigation rules out potential terror attack and border smuggling as cause of gunshots; victim's father holds IDF responsible.

A 15-year-old contractor working for the defense ministry was killed Tuesday afternoon after sustaining at least one gunshot wound while carrying out reinforcement work on the fence on the Israel-Egypt border.

The fire appears to have emanated from Egyptian territory, and hit in the Mt. Harif area of the Israeli Negev. A joint investigation carried out by IDF officers and their counterparts in Egypt revealed that the victim, later identified as Nimer Bassem Abu Amar from the Bedouin town of Lakiya, had been accidentally shot for reasons which remain unclear.

Police officer killed as polio team targeted in Peshawar IED blast
A police officer was killed and a Bomb Defusal Squad personnel injured in two separate Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasts targeting a polio team in Peshawar's Daudzai area Tuesday morning, police said.

A polio team was hit when the first IED was detonated, police said.

A second blast occurred when the BDS attempted to defuse another IED found during a search operation in the area, they added. A BDS personnel was injured in the blast.

Polio vaccination drives are underway across Pakistan, one of only two polio endemic countries left in the world.

Last year, the number of polio cases recorded in Pakistan soared to 306, the highest in 14 years. Pakistan has, however, witnessed a 62 per cent drop in polio cases in 2016, according to the Ministry of National Health Services (NHS).

Attempts to eradicate polio have been badly hit by militant attacks on immunisation teams due to claims propagated by the Taliban that the vaccination drive is a front for espionage or a conspiracy to sterilise Muslims.

These rumours have also made inhabitants of lesser-developed parts of the country more wary of allowing immunisation.

The Taliban stepped up attacks targeting polio immunisation teams after Pakistani doctor Shakeel Afridi was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency to set up a hepatitis immunisation drive as part of efforts to track down Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden.

Battle for Mosul: ISIS mines bridges over Tigris
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] ISIS faceless myrmidons have placed several mines over bridges and main roads in the eastern part of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and have called for reinforcements from Raqqa, several media reports have suggested.

US-backed Iraqi forces fought their way inside two villages on Monday as they crept closer to Mosul a week into an offensive to retake the ISIS-held city, but they also faced questions over a suspected Arclight airstrike on a mosque that killed 13 people.

Until now, most of the fighting has been in largely uninhabited towns and villages, but Iraqi special forces found more than 70 civilians sheltering in Tob Zawa.

They will encounter many more civilians as they get closer to Mosul, still home to more than one million people.

ISIS has suffered a series of setbacks in the past year, and Mosul is its last major urban bastion in Iraq.

Kurds capture village near Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Kurdish Peshmerga forces managed to liberate a village in the area of Nuran, northeast of Mosul, after days of siege, Al Mada Press reported on Tuesday.

The Iraqi media outlet stated, “This morning, Kurdish Peshmerga forces managed to liberate Khorsabad village in Nuran area, northeast of Mosul, from the ISIS control.”

“The security forces besieged the village for several days before storming into it,” Al Mada added. “The military engineering brigades started to dismantle the improvised explosive devices left by the ISIS in the village,” Al Mada explained.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced in 17 October 2016, launching the battle to liberate the city of Mosul from the control of ISIS. The ISIS imposed its control on the city of Mosul in June 2014, and then extended its terrorist activities to other areas of Iraq.

Votes Switched From Trump To Hillary In Texas
[INFOWARS] Residents of at least two cities in Texas are complaining that they voted for Donald Trump only to see the voting machine switch their ballot to Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as Deplorable, Irredeemable and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edward Stettinius, Jr. ...
Early voting for the 2016 presidential election started yesterday for people in some areas who have been given the opportunity to avoid the long lines on November 8.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
in Amarillo, a woman was shocked to see her ballot flip from Republican to Democrat.

"Gary and I went to early vote today," wrote Lisa Houlette on Facebook. "I voted a straight Republican ticket and as I scrolled to submit my ballot I noticed that the Republican straight ticket was highlighted, however, the Clinton/Kaine box was also highlighted!"

"I tried to go back and change and could not get it to work. I asked for help from one of the workers and she couldn’t get it to go back either. It took a second election person to get the machine to where I could correct the vote to a straight ticket," she added.

Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, the congregants were being herded into the paddy wagon...
in Arlington, Texas, another voter reported a similar experience.

"I had a family member that voted this morning and she voted straight Republican," wrote Shandy Clark. "She checked before she submitted and the vote had changed to Clinton! She reported it and made sure her vote was changed back. They commented that It had been happening."

Social media forums are also ablaze with concerns about votes being switched.

"Multiple reports on my Facebook, Periscope, Snapchat, and Twitter from my friends in Texas, and all of them had their vote switched to Clinton automatically," one post on The Donald Reddit is headlined.

[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] A number of Saudi soldiers were killed and three military vehicles were bombed in unique operation carried out by the (Saleh) Yemeni army and popular forces in al- Kers military sites of Jaizn region on Tuesday, a military official told Saba.

The official said that the operation resulted in the killing of dozens of Saudi troops and maimed scores of others, spreading a panic among the enemies, the official added.

Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to runaway ex-president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...

Afghan border police suffer casualties in attack on Torkham posts
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Afghan border police forces have suffered casualties in an attack on security posts located along Torkham near Pakistain, the local officials in Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
said Tuesday.

The provincial governor’s front man in Nangarhar Ataullah Khogyani confirmed the incident took place late on Monday night but he did not disclose further information regarding the casualties of the security forces.

However,
nothing needs reforming like other people's bad habits...
another official in Torkham said at least 8 personnel of the border protection police forces bit the dust in the attack.

The official speaking on the condition of anonymity said some security posts were also briefly captured by the faceless myrmidons but the Afghan forces managed to retake it after a shootout with the Death Eaters.

The anti-government armed Death Eater groups including the Taliban Death Eaters have not commented regarding the incident so far.

Nangarhar is among the relatively peaceful provinces in eastern Afghanistan but the anti-government armed Death Eater groups are actively operating in a number of its remote districts.

The Taliban Death Eaters and faceless myrmidons loyal to the Islamic Stat of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group are active in a number of the restive districts of Nangarhar.

12 Killed in Shabaab Bomb Attack in Kenya
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] A kaboom at a guesthouse in northeast Kenya killed at least 12 people on Tuesday, in an attack claimed by Shabaab hard boyz who last hit the area earlier this month.

"We have found 12 bodies so far after we managed to access the building," a police brass hat told AFP.

"We are still combing the area with the help of anti-terrorism police and sniffer dogs in the ongoing search and rescue."

Eleven men and one woman were killed in the 3:30 am (0030 GMT) blast at the Bisharo lodge, a police source told AFP. The toll was confirmed in a government statement that said part of the building was collapsed by the blast.

Kenyan media reported that some of the dead were members of a theatre group due to perform for school children in Mandera.

The al-Qaeda-linked Shabaab bad boy group claimed the attack in a message broadcast by its Radio Andalus media organization, claiming 15 were killed.

"This attack is part of a series of attacks in which the Mujahideen are hunting down infidels" in northeast Kenya, the group said.

It is the second Shabaab strike in Mandera in three weeks. The previous one on October 6 killed six people at a gated residential building that mainly housed non-Moslems, less than a kilometer from the volatile Somalia border town of Beled Hawa.

Also on Tuesday, a Shabaab jacket wallah attacked an African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
military base housing Djiboutian soldiers in the central Somali city of Beledweyne.

It is not known how many were killed in that attack which comes as Somalia is in the process of selecting parliamentarians, and a new president, due by the end of November.

Texas County Switches to Paper Ballots after Software Glitch
[BREITBART] Chambers County election officials have executed an emergency protocol to remove all electronic voting machines available during early voting until a software update can be completed to correct problems experienced by straight-ticket voters.

Chambers County Clerk Heather Hawthorne told Breitbart Texas Tuesday morning that all electronic voting was temporarily halted until her office completes a "software update" on ES&S machines that otherwise "omit one race" when a straight ticket option is selected for either major party. The Texas 14th Court of Appeals race was reported to be the contest in which voters commonly experienced the glitch.

Hawthorne explained that she expects the technical difficulties to be completely addressed by end of business Tuesday. In the interim, regular paper ballots will be used. The county clerk told Breitbart Texas that before the machines were pulled, poll workers were instructed to alert voters to the glitch and double-check their selections.

Chambers County sits east of Texas’ largest county, Harris, and serves roughly 26,000 registered voters. Hawthorne noted that since polls opened on Monday, only one voter did not have proper photo identification and was required to complete an affidavit to cast a regular ballot. Breitbart Texas recently reported a similar trend in neighboring Harris County where less than 10 out of more than 67,000 ballots cast lacked ID.

Malaysian terrorist captured in Basilan
[PhilStar] The Philippine military has confirmed that a Malaysian terrorist aiding the Abu Sayyaf was arrested recently. Col. Cirilo Donato said the Malaysian militant was captured early this month at the port of Maluso town while trying to sneak back into Malaysia.

Donato did not name the suspect, who is in the custody of military intelligence. He said the suspect was tracked down with tips from civilians who saw him in a former Abu Sayyaf camp in Barangay Baguindan, Tipo-Tipo that the military captured in August. He was reportedly armed and bearing Daesh's ‘shahada’ flag.

Donato said, "When he was arrested, it seemed he was about to leave the country because he was seen in the area where there were motorboats plying the southern backdoor in Maluso."

He said the military is checking if the suspect may have been training the Abu Sayyaf in bomb-making because he was caught with materials for improvised explosive devices.

The military is attempting to verify the reported presence of two Saudi nationals believed to be hiding with the Abu Sayyaf in Basilan. Donato said there are persistent reports about the two but no solid evidence.

Meanwhile, military officials believe senior Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon is running out of hiding places in Basilan after 32 Abu Sayyaf militants surrendered to authorities. Hapilon, who is the remaining leader of the four most notorious Abu Sayyaf chiefs wanted by the U.S. government for kidnapping and killing of American citizens, has remained elusive since 2000.

10 hurt in bombing attack on Antalya
[al-Manar] At least 10 people were hurt in a blast Tuesday at a car park in an office building in the southern Turkish city of Antalya, local media reported.

City mayor Menderes Turel told the broadcaster NTV that “10 to 12 people were slightly injured by flying glass” in the explosion at the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry building. The blast occurred at 8.50am (0550 GMT).

Turel told CNN Turk channel the blast was being investigated and it was “too early” to make assumptions as to the cause.

“The blast may not be a terror attack… we must wait for official information,” Turel said.

Over the past year, Turkey has suffered a series of attacks blamed on the ISIL Takfiri group and Kurdish militants.

TV images showed a wrecked, burned-out car and smashed glass nearby. At least four cars nearby were also damaged, Dogan news agency said.

The incident occurred 11 days after three rockets hit a roadside fishmonger in the popular tourist region, but without causing casualties.

Tripoli’s violent crime spree averages almost six armed assaults every day
[Libya Herald] In the last 15 days in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, six drivers have been killed by carjackers in the course of the theft of 37 vehicles at gun point.

The extent of the collapse in security in the capital is made clear by figures just released from Tripoli Security Room, part of the interior ministry.

It shows that as part of this violent crime spree, there were also 19 kidnappings, during which four people, including two females, were shot. The extent of their injuries was not made clear.

In addition there were 29 reported armed robberies. Gunmen variously held up shopkeepers, taxis where they robbed drivers and passengers and trucks, from which goods were taken.

These 85 gun crimes work out at almost six a day.

It is very likely that there have been more violent crimes which have gone unreported to the police. In the case of kidnappings, relatives fear that involving the authorities will only make matters worse.

One Tripoli merchant, who had been robbed twice by young gunnies last year told the Libya Herald that he saw no point in reporting the crimes to the police. "Unless they catch these guys red-handed, there is nothing that they can do".

The clown, who was brandishing a hammer, was attempting to scare a group of friends when he appeared in front of them in Berlin.

However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
the prank backfired when a 14-year-old stabbed the character with a knife.

It was only when he pulled the clown’s mask off that he discovered it was an acquaintance.

The 14-year-old then performed first aid until paramedics arrived. He was later picked up by his parents.

Saddams cuz detained for helping ISIS
(IraqiNews.com) Kirkuk – The Kirkuk Police Directorate announced on Tuesday that the cousin of the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been arrested, south of Kirkuk, for participating in the recent attack launched by the Islamic State on the province.

Kirkuk Police Chief, Brigadier General Sarhad Qadir, said in a press statement “Police forces carried out extensive raid and search operations in Daquq district (35 km south of Kirkuk), and managed to arrest Nizar Mahmud Abdul Ghani, cousin of former president Saddam Hussein, along with one of the ISIS members who attacked the province recently.”

“The detainee confessed during the preliminary investigation that he is a cousin of the former President Saddam Hussein and participated in the latest attack launched by the ISIS on Kirkuk,” Qadir added.

“Abdul Ghani is a former officer in the private security service, while his brothers are working with the ISIS southwest of Kirkuk,” Qadir explained. “The security operation also resulted in the confiscation of four Kalashnikov weapons and quantities of ammunition,” Qadir said.

Last Friday, ISIS militants attacked important security headquarters in the province of Kirkuk, as well as attacking Dibs power station, while the security forces killed the attackers and regained control over the situation in the province.

#2  It's more than a legal document. It is literally a contract between the People and their governing body.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Means what it reads as. It's just that SCOTUS has willfully chosen to ignore it as the concentration of powers continues. Who needs a Article V amending process when you have Princes, Duke, Barons, Marquess (all who sit for life and are unaccountable) to tell you what it says.

b) If Hillary wins, expect the constitution to be round filed pretty quick.

Turkish border guards fires on civilians near Syrian border
[ARA News] Qamishli – Turkey’s border police on Tuesday opened fire on a number of Syrian civilians near the town of Amude, who were trying to escape the ongoing war in Syria, activists and eyewitnesses reported.

At least one civilian was killed and two more injured when the Turkish border guards opened fire on them on the border with Syria’s Kurdish region, in a bid to prevent them from crossing the border into Turkey.

The Kurdish security forces of the Asayish said that Ali Ibrahim Tamme, 23, was killed on Tuesday by Turkish fire near the village of Mearik in Amude suburb.

“Also, two civilians were wounded. They were transferred to Amude Hospital for treatment,” local media activist Shiyar Hassan told ARA News.

“Turkish border guards have violated humanitarian and moral principles and passed all international laws and norms, by killing innocent Syrian civilians, including children,” the Asayish said in a statement.

Turkey has closed all its border gates with Syria’s Kurdish region of Rojava, which forced civilians to seek alternative routes in order to cross the border looking for a safe haven. Dozens have been killed by the Turkish border guards over the past two years, mostly Syrian Kurds.

Last May, Human Rights Watch (HRW) called on Turkey to open its borders in order to allow civilians to flee the Syrian Civil War, but so far Turkey has not changed its policies.

Gerry Simpson, senior refugee researcher at Human Rights Watch, said: “[Turkish] border guards have killed Syrian asylum seekers and pushed others back into the world’s worst war zone.”

“Governments and UN agencies should end their deafening silence on Turkey’s abuse of Syrian asylum seekers and press Turkey to reopen its border to civilians fleeing the horrors in Syria,” Simpson added.

ISIS claims killing 60 Pakistani police cadets in Quetta attack
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group grabbed credit for a deadly attack on a police academy in Quetta city of Pakistain that left at least 60 dead.

The group released a statement following the attack and released the photographs of the three assailants who carried out the attack late on Monday.

The Arabic statement was released by Amaq news agency which normally covers the stories of the terrorist group in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world where they operate.

The statement further added that 60 police cadets were killed and around 120 others were maimed in the attack on Police College in Saryab road.

The Pak officials earlier said the attack was likely carried out by al-Alimi faction of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi

bully boy group which is affiliated with the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain.

This comes as the top US commander in Afghanistan General John Nicholson earlier said the ISIS terrorist group is attempting to establish a caliphate in Afghanistan with the help of the former Pak Taliban members.

The attack on police academy on Monday was the largest during the current year which came as the Mighty Pak Army is engaged in one of the major counter-terrorism operations in tribal regions of the country.

The Afghan officials condemned the attack and said the state-sponsored terrorism, use of proxy force, and distinction between good and bad bandidos snuffies always leads to destruction as they called to say not terror.

Next stage in Mosul operations: Iraqi PM
[Iran Press TV] Russia says US-led coalition Arclight airstrikes in djinn-infested Mosul

have killed over 60 civilians and maimed over 200 more over the past few days.

Lieutenant General Sergei Rudskoi, chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces made the announcement on Tuesday.

"During the past three days more than 60 civilians, including children, became victims of these air strikes. More than 200 people were maimed," he said.

He added that Russia is closely monitoring the situation in Mosul and has so far seen no major success in the coalition’s operations to liberate the city, he added.

"At the same time there are numerous facts of the US-led coalition’s air strikes against residential quarters, schools and other civil infrastructure buildings both in Mosul and in other settlements in the Iraq’s Nineveh governorate," he added.

"A United States Air Force plane delivered an Arclight airstrike on the a-Hajj Yunus school for girls in southern Mosul on October 21. On the following day, air strikes hit living quarters in the settlements of Qaraqosh 20 kilometers east of Mosul and Hazna 15 kilometers east of Mosul," he added.

He also stressed that ISIS forces of Evil are continuing to flee Iraq and enter Syria, adding that so far 300 Takfiri

forces of Evil have entered Syria’s Dayr al-Zawr.

to provide safe routes for the groupings of Takfiri terrorists, who are fleeing the offensive against the city and entering Syria, which has been dealing with a foreign-backed conflict since March 2011 -- a crisis that reportedly has claimed the lives of 400,000 people.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio had his hands full of angry bleached blonde...
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced during a presser that Iraqi forces have reached an advanced stage in the battle for Mosul.

"We reached an advanced stage in the battle to liberate the city of Mosul, and our plan is not to evacuate the families from the cities during the liberation operations," he added.

He added that Iraqi forces have proved their capability to defend Iraqi towns and cities against the Takfiri forces of Evil surprise attacks.

"The international coalition is surprised by the performance of the Iraqi army in the war on ISIS, and we must continue training the security forces and restructuring them away from sectarianism," he added.

Since the beginning of the operations, the Iraqi army, backed by volunteer forces, has been engaged in a large military offensive to cleanse Mosul of ISIS terrorists. The city fell in 2014 when the terror group started ravaging the country, naming Mosul as its so-called headquarters in Iraq.

Hillary Clinton Tops 2015-16 Islamist Money List
"PHILADELPHIA ‐ Oct. 20, 2016 ‐ The Middle East Forum's "Islamist Money in Politics" (IMIP) project has revealed the top ten recipients of 2015-16 campaign contributions from individuals who subscribe to the same Islamic supremacism as Khomeini, Bin Laden, and ISIS.

Hillary Clinton tops the list, raking in $41,165 from prominent Islamists. This includes $19,249 from senior officials of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), declared a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates on November 15, 2014.

For example, Mrs. Clinton has accepted $3,900 from former CAIR vice-chairman Ahmad Al-Akhras, who has defended numerous Islamists in Ohio indicted ‐ and later convicted ‐ on terrorism charges.

Among other current presidential candidates, Jill Stein has accepted $250. Donald Trump and Gary Johnson have not received any Islamist money."

Government
Obama Regime Charges Sheriff Arpaio with Criminal Contempt
Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been officially charged with criminal contempt-of-court over claims he ignored a judge's order in a racial profiling case. The move by the federal government comes just two weeks before Arpaio stands before the voters of Maricopa County for re-election to his seventh term.

Breitbart Texas Lana Shadwick reported on October 11, that prosecutors for the Department of Justice were preparing charges for his allegedly violations of a court order on racial profiling. At that time, Judge Susan Bolton asked the prosecutors to write a "show cause order" for her to sign.

Arpaio claimed the charges by the Obama Justice Department are politically motivated in an ad last week, Fox News reported on Tuesday evening. Arpaio's lawyer, Mel McDonald told Fox News he believes "that when the final chapter is written, he (Arpaio) will be vindicated."

Arpaio was sued by the ACLU, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and a law firm that Eric H. Holder, Jr. works for. Holder was a partner at the firm for six years prior to his appointment as U.S. Attorney General, and Holder returned to the firm after he left his post as Attorney General. The law firm has been reported as "a key player in the opposition to Arizona's anti-illegal immigration law."
Arpaio has criticized Holder for among other things, how he handled Operation Fast and Furious, and for not being a supporter of peace officers. Holder was held in contempt of Congress in June 2012 over the ATF's Fast and Furious gun-running scandal. There were 255 House members who voted to hold the sitting Attorney General in contempt, including 17 Democrats. Holder and the DOJ would not comply with an October 2011 subpoena to turn over thousands of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious. Breitbart Texas has reported extensively about Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was slain in Arizona while on patrol. Two of the guns involved in the ambush were eventually tied to the Fast and Furious operation. After two officers were shot execution-style in New York, Arpaio criticized New York Mayor Bill De Blasio and Attorney General Eric Holder.

Arpaio has long been a critic and nemesis of President Obama. In June 2014, Breitbart TV reported that Arpaio told NewsMax TV that he believes Obama intentionally caused the current crisis of thousands of unaccompanied minors flooding across the U.S.-Mexico border to force "Congress to do something" or "shove some more executive orders down our throat."

AZCentral previously reported, "Arpaio's charge stems from a December 2011 federal court order that barred his agency from enforcing federal immigration law. It is alleged that his deputies continued to do so, however, for at least 18 months thereafter."

Arpaio had previously acknowledged violating District Judge Murray Snow's previous order on the county enforcing federal immigration law but said he did so unintentionally, Fox News stated. The judge disagreed and said he did so to help his re-election chances.

The charge is a misdemeanor that could land the 84-year-old sheriff in jail for up to six months if he is convicted. The misdemeanor would not stop the seven-term sheriff from continuing to serve as Maricopa County’s sheriff.
More regime attacks on Law Enforcement officers who enforce the law.

Azerbaijan jails youth opposition activist for 10 years
[Iran Press TV] An Azerbaijani court has sentenced a youth activist to 10 years in prison as the government has come under fire over its pervasive crackdown on dissent in the Caucasus country.

On Tuesday, a court in the Azeri capital city of Baku found 21-year-old Giyas Ibrahimov guilty of drug trafficking.

Ibrahimov is a member of NIDA Civic Movement, a youth opposition movement that is highly critical of the Azeri government.

Elchin Sadykhov, a lawyer representing Ibrahimov, said rights advocates dismissed the charges brought against his client as politically motivated.

Ibrahimov was detained in May along with fellow activist Bayram Mammadov for painting anti-government graffiti on a monument in Baku to late Azeri president, Heydar Aliyev, the father of current President Ilham Aliyev. The campaigners were later accused of drug possession.

Human Rights Watch
... During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011, HRW received a pledge from the Foundation to Promote Open Society, of which George Soros is Chairman, for general support totaling $100,000,000. The grant is being paid in installments of $10,000,000 over ten years.Through June 30, 2013, HRW had received $30,000,000 towards the fulfillment of the pledge....
(HRW), however, accused Azeri authorities of using spurious drug charges to pursue long prison sentences against the pair. The rights group also called on the officials to immediately free the activists and investigate the credible allegations that they were ill-treated in police custody.

"Azerbaijan has a sad history of fabricating drug charges against youth activists to intimidate them and deter others from following suit," said Giorgi Gloria, the South Caucasus director at HRW.

Ad buy of $510,000 targets young Hispanics, African-American, Haitian-American voters in Fla.
[POLITICO] The Service Employees International Union Florida and an array of community groups announced Tuesday they plan to spend more than $500,000 and radio and online ads targeting Latino millennials, African-American and Haitian-American voters in Florida.

The ads are designed to encourage these groups -- some 4 million people -- to get out and vote in the nation's biggest battleground state. SEIU Florida and the other groups have spent months going door-to-door contacting minority voters all over the state.

"Our campaign intends to educate the voter that their votes are directly related to how the policies and practices are crafted at local and federal level," said Alphonso Mayfield, SEIU’s State Director for the 2016 Election Campaign.

He said the major campaigns are too "focused on parties and candidates," instead "of the real issues that impact our communities." Among the issues: a minimum wage increase, access to affordable healthcare and education, and immigration reform.

The $510,000 ad buy is timed with the kickoff of early in-person voting in Florida, which began Monday in most of the state. The ads will begin running today and will air in the following counties: Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Orange, Osceola, Pensacola, Leon and Duval counties. The digital ads will appear on the music website Pandora.

As of Tuesday morning, more than 1.6 million Floridians had already cast pre-Election Day ballots. About 665,000, or 42 percent, were made by Florida Republicans and 658,000, or 41 percent were made by Democrats. The rest were either third-party voters or No Party Affiliation voters.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
In apparent rift with Ramallah, Saudi Arabia halts PA funding
The dominoes are falling.
[IsraelTimes] Senior Paleostinian officials say around $120 million of financial aid withheld over last 6 months without explanation

Without providing prior warning or an explanation to Ramallah, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
has been holding back financial aid earmarked for the Paleostinian Authority for over six months, senior PA officials say.

Saudi Arabia had been paying $20 million a month to the PA as aid to the cash-strapped Paleostinian government in the West Bank when it suddenly shut the tap.

While there has been no official announcement from either Riyadh or Ramallah, The Times of Israel has learned that the payments stopped over half a year ago with no clear reason given for the cessation.

Paleostinian sources said that several emissaries from the Paleostinian Authority have attempted to find out the reasons for the funding freeze but were not given full answers by the Saudi government.

The Paleostinian Authority is working on the assumption that the freeze is due to an across-the-board cut in Saudi Arabia’s funding of foreign countries based on its own budgetary strains, but some sources assess that Riyadh may be unhappy with PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
In recent weeks, Abbas has locked horns with a number of Arab leaders who have been pressuring him to patch up differences within Fatah and make peace with former Gazoo strongman Mohammad Dahlan, considered a main rival.

Those leaders have included King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Cutodian of the Two Holy Mosquesand Lord of Most of the Arabians....
of Saudi Arabia, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi, Jordan’s King Abdullah and United Arab Emirates President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Abbas’s fierce opposition to Dahlan’s return is both personal and political.

Dahlan is regarded as close to the UAE’s ruler and the Egyptian president, and his name is mentioned -- mainly by Israeli commentators -- as a contender to replace Abbas when the time comes.

Abbas fell out with Dahlan after the latter made thinly veiled corruption allegations against the PA president’s two businessman sons in 2010. Earlier this year, Abbas countered that Arab leaders should stop meddling in internal Paleostinian affairs -- rare public criticism of Arab allies by a leader whose people depend on Arab financial and diplomatic support.

With around $120 million of Saudi aid having been withheld so far, the freeze in funds threatens to cause serious budgetary problems for the Paleostinian Authority.

Earlier this month the PA lost another key source of funding with a UK government decision to cut a third of its aid to Ramallah because of its payment of stipends to the families convicted terrorist serving time in Israeli prison. The UK Department for International Development ordered a review of the PA’s role in funding salaries to terrorists, effectively freezing some £25 million (roughly $30 million) in the current fiscal year, or about one-third of the UK’s total aid to the PA, according to a report in the Sun daily.

The two developments could spell financial disaster for the PA, which relies heavily on foreign aid. In 2012 Saudi Arabia helped prevent a financial crisis by transferring $100 million to the PA, days after then-prime minister Salam Fayyad
...Fayyad's political agenda holds that neither violence nor peaceful negotiations have brought the Paleostinians any closer to an independent state. The alternative to both, violent negotiations, doesn't seem to be working too well, either...
warned of a imminent catastrophe.

Two imams arrested in Ibiza over suspected links to ISIS

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) terrorist group.

The men, both Moroccan nationals, were based at the island’s Masllid al Fath mosque, where they radicalized and recruited people to the jihadist cause with children among their prime targets, according to a statement from Spain’s Interior Ministry.

One of the men had already been arrested in 2010 for beating students with a cane during a class on Arabic culture at the mosque, the local daily Diario de Ibiza reports. The courts went on to ban the use of canes or other similar objects during such classes at the place of worship.

The two suspects have been detained for alleged glorification of terrorism and indoctrination of potential recruits. Investigators say the men had publicly and repeatedly expressed their support for ISIS on social media platforms.

One of the men had used his Facebook account to spread ISIS propaganda, including videos and links to radical publications, the Interior Ministry said.

The men, who live in the Ibiza municipality of Sant Antoni de Portmany, began to increase their online presence in 2012 during the series of revolts across the Middle East known as the Arab Spring, according to the ministry. That online activity coincided with a massive rise in the number of foreign combatants travelling to Syria and Iraq to join the ranks of ISIS.

Their arrest brings up to 156 the number of suspected jihadists detained in Spain since 2015.

Investigators in an operation carried out by Spain’s Civil Guard under the direction of the High Court are now focusing on the analysis of data retrieved from electronic devices belonging to both men.

Spain’s Interior Ministry noted that the assistance of Moroccan secret services had been a "key" factor in the arrests, which come after two other operations targeting jihadists in early October.

Two earlier raids
In one of those operations, Spanish police working in partnership with Morocco’s security forces arrested four Moroccans, two in Spain and two in the North African country. All four were allegedly members of radical cells working in conjunction with each other under ISIS coordination.

Will mushroom clouds turn Ohio voters away from Donald Trump?
A new TV ad evoking one of the most famous political ads in U.S. history is painting Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as too dangerous to be commander-in-chief. And it's not subtle about it.

The spot from the Fifty Second Street Fund, a newly formed super PAC targeting Ohio voters, features footage of an atomic bomb detonating.
Reminiscent of the once-broadcast "Daisy" ad.

I recall another time (1964) when the specter of nuclear war was brought up during the Lyndon Johnson (D) campaign. Johnson's campaign showed a nuclear explosion mushroom cloud and linked Barry Goldwater's (R) name and campaign with the threat of nuclear war. Goldwater was painted as a loose cannon. Turns out that Johnson pushed the Vietnam War based on the false narrative of the Gulf of Tonkin attack by Vietnam. IMO that the most likely candidate to take us into a very serious war is Hillary Clinton, the "We came, We saw, He Died [referring to Libya's Qaddafi]" former SoS and POTUS candidate.

ISIS trying to establish a caliphate inside Afghanistan: US General
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group is attempting to establish a caliphate inside Afghanistan, the top US commander in Afghanistan has said.

General John Nicholson who is also in command of the NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A collection of multinational and multilingual and multicultural armed forces, all of differing capabilities, working toward a common goal by pulling in different directions...
-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) in Afghanistan has said the majority of the ISIS fighters in Afghanistan are foreigners.

"Right now we see them very focused on trying to establish their caliphate, the Khorasan caliphate, inside Afghanistan," General Nicholson told NBC News.

He said the push is "principally a non-Afghan movement", adding that the U.S. has seen imported muscle, particularly Uzbeks from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, joining the Islamic State Khorasan, or IS-K.

Gen. Nicholson further addded that the U.S. also sees many Pak Pashtun from the Pak Taliban who joined IS-K moving into Afghanistan to fight.

According to Gen. Nicholson, the IS-K is "completely rejected by the Afghan people," and explained that the broader ISIS philosophy is "the antithesis of Afghan culture."

"With our Afghan partners, we’ve been able to reduce that territory significantly and inflict heavy casualties on them to include killing their leaders," he said.

Both the Afghan forces and the US forces in Afghanistan are conducting regular raids against the Taliban snuffies and ISIS loyalist in the districts where they are conducting insurgency activities.

The US forces increased Arclight airstrikes against the Taliban snuffies and ISIS loyalists earlier this year after the B.O. regime granted a broader role to the American forces.

Dostum accuses Ghani of nepotism, slams Abdullah for being incapable
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
accused President Ghani of nepotism and slammed Chief Executive Abdullah for being an incapable leader.

The latest remarks by Gen. Dostum unveils the persistent rift among the leaders of the government of national unity amid tense security situation in the country.

Speaking to a gathering in northern Jawzjan province following a military operation led by him, Gen. Dostum said President Ghani prefers those speaking Pashto and individuals belonging to his province are even more important to him.

Gen. Dostum further added the Chief Executive Abdullah is an incapable leader and has lost his fame among the Tajiks of the country despite he ethnically a Tajik.

The First Vice President appears to have adopted a similar stance the Chief Executive Abdullah adopted earlier in August.

Abdullah President Ghani as unfit for the office, during a gathering in Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
as he was addressing a group of young people in his office garden.

The Chief Executive said he had struggled to achieve much progress with President Ghani during the two years of their government on the issue of electoral reform.

He said President Ghani is not having time for him even in months so that he can have one-on-one meeting with him.

Abdullah insisted that "if someone does not have the patience for discussion, then they are not fit for the presidency, either."

The Presidential Palace issued a statement and expressed regrets regarding Abdullah’s remarks, saying such remarks are not in line with the standards and spirit of governance, insisting that principles and legal criteria forms the basis of governance based on which the executive steps are taken.

Europe
German police carry out 13 anti-terrorism raids across 5 federal states
[RT] German police forces conducted several raids across five federal states in response to an "imminent terror threat," according to local media.

Operatives of elite police anti-terrorism units, the SEK, were scrambled across five German states, including Thuringia, Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony and Bavaria, according to Spiegel magazine, which cites police in Thuringia.

Bild magazine cited "an imminent terror threat" as a trigger for the operation.

During the simultaneous raids, 12 apartments and a communal accommodation center were searched, but with no arrests made, according to Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

The large-scale operation reportedly targeted "Islamist-linked terror suspects," local broadcaster MDR reported.

A 28-year-old suspect, said to be a "Russian national of Chechen descent" with links to Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. (IS, previously ISIS/ISIS) is wanted by police, Spiegel reported. According to Bild, the suspect may be plotting "a serious act of violence."

The other suspects include 10 men and three women, convicted of terrorism financing, Bild reported. All the suspects have alleged Islamist backgrounds.

All the suspects are reported to be asylum seekers with unknown residence status. They had been under police surveillance since summer 2015.

Police forces deployed sniffer dogs to detect potential explosives.

At least one suspect is reported to have been placed under arrest in the central Thuringia city of Suhl, where "white powder" of unknown origin was found.

Later, Thuringia criminal police said there is no threat of a terror attack, adding that preliminary outcomes of the operation would be released "in a matter of days."

Unlike neighboring La Belle France and Belgium, Germany had seen no large-scale terrorist attacks until the summer of this year.

In late July, however, it suffered a suicide kaboom attempt and three lone-wolf assaults in the space of a week. In all cases, the perpetrators either had direct links to IS or were inspired by radicalism.

One of the most recent terrorist plots was foiled in early October in the eastern city of Chemnitz, when a 22-year-old Syrian national was captured after a two-day manhunt. Although a special operation had been launched by the authorities, the man was only detained when three fellow Syrians tied him up and alerted police.

The suspect, identified as Jaber al-Bakr, was on the run after German police discovered "highly sensitive explosives" in his flat. al-Bakr did away with himself while in jug. The authorities said later he had considered a "big airport in Berlin" as a "better target" than trains.
The Daily Mail adds:
Police said all were people of Chechen ethnicity with Russian citizenship seeking asylum in Germany, and whose status has not yet been decided".

Transgenders Now Excluded From Air Force Physical Fitness Test
In their ongoing effort to accommodate "transgender" military personnel, the Pentagon has announced that transgenders will be excused from the Air Force fitness test if they're in the middle of their "transition."

That' right, airmen (air-women? Air-people? Air-humans?) who are "transitioning" from female to male or vice-versa will be exempt from their physical fitness tests if they're in the middle of their hormone treatment. Officially, the order reads they can skip the test "during their period of transition, prior to a gender marker change in the MilPDS," if they have already failed a test.

In a 43-page report published on Tuesday, the New York-based rights group said that a "climate of fear" prevails in Turkey since the failed putsch.

"By removing safeguards against torture, the Turkish government effectively wrote a blank check to law enforcement agencies to torture and mistreat detainees as they like," said Hugh Williamson, HRW's Europe and Central Asia director.
The watchdog cited 13 cases of alleged abuse, including torture, sleep deprivation, severe beatings, sexual abuse and rape threats among people arrested in the post-coup crackdown.

It further detailed examples of detainees with bruises on their body and said that some lawyers were too scared to record evidence that their clients had been subjected to torture.

"There was not a part of (a detainee's) body that was not covered in bruises," an unnamed forensic specialist told HRW.

An unidentified Istanbul-based lawyer also said that her client had confirmed that officers "threatened to rape them and their wives."

The report also quoted a police officer telling a detainee, "Because of the state of emergency, nobody will care if I kill you. I will just say I shot you while you tried to run away."

"If (Gulen) is not extradited or the process is dragged out, this will have a negative impact on relations between America and Turkey.

"What we want now is for relations not to come to a negative point because of a terrorist. That is our wish, "Bozdag told news hounds at Ankara airport, quoted by the official Anadolu news agency.

Gulen strongly denies the accusations.

Bozdag added that "everything Bin Laden represents to the United States, Fethullah Gulen represents for the Turkish state."

He was speaking ahead of flying to the US where he will meet with Attorney General Loretta Lynch to discuss Gulen and the aftermath of the attempted putsch.

For Gulen’s extradition, the US insists legal provisions must be met.

"They fired from pistols and threw three (Molotov) cocktails at coppers when they challenged them at 3:45 am. We fired back and two people were hit. Later we learnt their identities," media outlets quoted Ali Sheikh as saying.

A senior Jamaat official has vehemently denied that the two party figures were killed in shootouts, saying both had been picked up by plainclothesmen early last month.

The source added that scores of foreign-backed holy warriors were killed in the offensives. A cannon, three mortar rounds and a considerable amount of kabooms were confiscated as well.

The Takifiri Sham Legion terrorist outfit also announced that one of its military commanders, identified only as Shirikhan, had been killed in a confrontation with government forces in the same Syrian province.

The Beatings Will Continue: Iraqi Edition

ISIS immolates 9 for desertion

(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Iraqi media outlets announced on Tuesday, that the Islamic State executed nine of its members by burning for fleeing the battles in central Mosul.

Al Sumaria News stated, “ISIS terrorist gangs executed nine of its members for fleeing the battle against the security forces in Mosul, by throwing them in trenches containing a burning oil, after tying their hands and legs.”

“ISIS used the burning oil trenches to impede the visibility of the Iraqi Air Force and international coalition air force,” Al Sumaria added.

ISIS is using the most heinous methods to murder its rebellious members to discourage them from fleeing battles against the Iraqi government’s security forces.

ISIS lights up sulphur plant
Pining for that odor in their afterlife in Hell
(IraqiNews.com) Nineveh – Hundreds of persons in Mosul suffered from suffocation due to emission of poisonous gasses, after the members of the Islamic State set fire to the Mishraq Sulphur plant on Thursday last week, before fleeing the city of Mosul, media outlets reported.

The Telegraph stated that the emitted gasses formed a toxic cloud, which includes deadly Sulphur dioxide and hydrogen sulphide, combined with residue from burning oil wells, which is a fatal cocktail for those caught in the open or without gas masks.

Deputy Manager of Nineveh Health Directorate, Layth Hababa, said in a press statement, “The health center in Qayyarah area received more than 100 persons suffering from suffocation due to the emission of poisonous gasses,” pointing out that, “The casualties include pregnant women and children, but no deaths were recorded.”

Last week, security forces managed to recapture Mishraq Sulphur plant, but the ISIS members set it ablaze before withdrawing from the area, as the latest step to defend the Caliphate headquarters, Mosul city.

ISIS using civilians as human shields
Slow news day at Turtle Bay
[ARA News ] Geneva – As the US-backed Kurdish Peshmerga forces and Iraqi Army troops close in on Mosul, the Islamic State (ISIS) radical group has committed grave violations against civilians. The group has recently executed dozens of people and used many civilians as human shields, the United Nations reported on Tuesday.

“We continue to receive information that reinforces the belief that ISIS militants are deliberately using civilians as human shields – forcing them to move to sites where ISIS fighters are based, or preventing them from leaving other places for strategic reasons,” said Rupert Colville, Spokesperson for the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) at a news briefing at the United Nations Office in Geneva.

ISIS has reportedly killed 15 civilians on Monday in Safina, a village around 45 kilometres south of Mosul, and threw their bodies in the river, apparently in an attempt to spread terror among the other residents.

“On the afternoon of 19 October, in the same village, ISIS reportedly tied six civilians to a vehicle by their hands and dragged them around the village, apparently simply because they were related to a particular tribal leader fighting against ISIS alongside Iraqi Government forces,” Coalville said, adding that the six men were also allegedly beaten with sticks and gun butts. “It is not clear what happened to them subsequently,” he said.

On 20 October, Iraqi security forces reportedly discovered the bodies of 70 civilians inside houses in Tuloul Naser Village which is located in the same sub-district, some 35 kilometres south of Mosul City. “The bodies had bullet wounds, but it is not known for sure at this point who was responsible for the killings,” according to the UN Human Rights Office.

On 22 October, ISIS militants shot dead three women and three young girls, and wounded a further four children from Rufeila, a village in the al-Qayyarah sub-district south of Mosul.

“The victims were allegedly shot because they were trailing some 100 meters behind a group of other people from the same village who were being forced by ISIL to relocate to another sub-district,” the OHCHR spokesperson said. “The victims were lagging behind because one of the children had a disability,” and, “she was apparently amongst those shot and killed.”

On Sunday, ISIS reportedly killed 50 former Iraqi Police Officers that they had been holding outside of Mosul City.

“We very much fear that these will not be the last such reports we receive of such barbaric acts by ISIS,” Coalville said. “We repeat our call on Government forces and their allies to ensure their fighters do not take revenge on any of the civilians who escape from areas under ISIS control, and treat all suspected ISIS fighters they capture in accordance with international humanitarian law.”

This comes as the Kurdish Peshmerga forces and Iraqi Army troops, backed by the US-led coalition, continued military operations against ISIS in Mosul, in northwestern Iraq, for the second week.

Anbar Antics: 40 die

Iraqi forces impose control of Rutba

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – The media officials with the Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday, that Anbar Operations Command imposed its full control over the district of Rutba.

The officials said in a press statement, “The joint security forces imposed their full control over the district of Rutba, after eliminating the ISIS presence in the areas of al-Mithaq, al-Hara and al-Zaitoun,” adding that, “The security troops secured the civilian houses and governmental buildings in the district.”

“The security forces raised the Iraqi flag over the mayor’ office in Rutba,” the statement added. “Army and police forces searched all buildings in the area and started to remove the remnants left by the ISIS,” the statement explained.

Yesterday, ISIS launched a violent attack on Rutba district from several directions, while the Mayor of the district Imad al-Dulaimi called Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to send military reinforcements to the district.

40 ISIS Turbans bite the dust in Rutba

(IraqiNews.com) Anbar – Commander of Anbar Operations, Major General Ismail Mahlawi, announced on Tuesday killing 40 ISIS militants in Rutba district, and evacuating the families in order to search the district after being fully liberated.

Mahlawi said in a press statement, “The strikes of international coalition air force, Iraqi Air Force and army troops killed 40 ISIS militants, as well as destroying 14 vehicles belong to the ISIS in Rutba district,” adding that, “Rutba district is fully liberated, and now controlled by the army’s 1st and 8th regiments, backed by tribes, al-Hashed al-Shaabi and emergency police of Rutba.”

“Security forces began to evacuate the families from Rutba and transfer them to an IDP camp, in order to search for any ISIS cells in the city,” Mahalawi explained.

Earlier today, media officials with the Ministry of Defense announced, that Anbar Operations Command imposed its full control over Rutba district.

More on Rutba fighting from Arab News
BAGHDAD: Iraqi forces backed by US-led coalition airstrikes battled Daesh militants for a third day on Tuesday in a remote western town, hundreds of kilometers to the south of the operation to retake the northern city of Mosul, US and Iraqi officials said.

The clashes underway in Rutba, in Iraq’s western Anbar province, are apparently part of the extremist group’s tactics to divert attention — as well as Iraqi and coalition resources — from the battle to retake Mosul from Daesh militants.

“Fighting is ongoing in Rutba, which is still contested,” said Col. John Dorrian, a spokesman for the US-led coalition.

“The coalition continues conducting strikes to support the Iraqi security forces’ response efforts, including one against a Daesh convoy that was attempting to flee the area,” he added.

Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasool, an Iraqi military spokesman, said the situation was under control and there were no Daesh fighters in the town. But Rajeh Barakat, an Anbar provincial councilman who sits on the security committee, said Daesh fighters were still clashing with security forces in two southern neighborhoods of Rutba.

“The clashes are still ongoing,” he said. “We have reports saying the militants killed some civilians and members of the security forces, but we don’t know how many.”

"To be honest, our life (under IS) was good,” said Shaheen, a 55-year old with white beard. “There was justice. There were clear principles — such as don’t shave your beard and pray in the mosque...etc— if you don’t violate them no one will (bother) you,” he added.
Daesh launched a complex attack on Rutba on Sunday, almost a week into the operation in Mosul, where US-backed Iraqi forces are waging a wide-scale offensive to drive the militants from Iraq’s second-largest city.

Last week IS launched a similar assault in and around the northern city of Kirkuk, some 170 kilometers (100 miles) southeast of Mosul. The wide-ranging assault ignited gunbattles that lasted two days, killing at least 80 people.

Near Mosul, the fighting was still underway on Tuesday in a belt of villages and towns to the north, east and south of the city. Maj. Gen. Haider Fadhil said the Iraqi special forces had reached a village located 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the eastern edge of Mosul.

Also Tuesday, around 335 civilians were evacuated to a refugee camp from the village of Tob Zawa, about 9 kilometers (5½ miles) from Mosul, which was retaken by special forces on Monday, Fadhil added. He said the civilians were evacuated to protect them from possible Daesh shelling.

Among them was Ezzat Shaheen, who drove his car along with his wife and some of his 10 children. Others were left behind to take care of their land and cattle.

“To be honest, our life (under IS) was good,” said Shaheen, a 55-year old with white beard. “There was justice. There were clear principles — such as don’t shave your beard and pray in the mosque...etc— if you don’t violate them no one will (bother) you,” he added.

Shaheen said he was able to sell his cattle and crops in the village or in Mosul without any problems, and that in return, he paid Daesh Zakat, an obligatory annual payment made by Muslims under Islamic law on certain kinds of property.

“Government-run schools were closed, but (IS-run) religious ones were open, and we had no clinic in the village, but we could go to Mosul for treatment,” he said, adding when Daesh overran the village more than two years ago, they only registered their weapons and allowed them to keep, but Iraqi troops seized them.

The US-led coalition said it carried out several airstrikes in support of the Mosul operation, including five on Monday that destroyed 22 fighting positions, eight tunnels and nine vehicles, one of which was rigged with explosives.

The US is also providing ground support for the Mosul operation, with more than 100 American soldiers embedded with Iraqi units and hundreds more working in staging bases. A US soldier was killed by a roadside bomb last week.

Arabia
Soddys deny blockade
All lies!
DUBAI: The Saudi-led coalition denied on Tuesday it had imposed a “blockade” on Yemen, saying instead that it was only controlling access to the country to prevent pro-Iran rebels from obtaining arms.

“No, there is no blockade,” coalition spokesman Major General Ahmed Assiri told AFP.

“There is control based on international law... Control is different from blockade, which means that nobody can enter or leave” the country, he said.

Assiri also spoke of “restriction” and “controlled freedom of movement.”

“If a boat leaves from Djibouti, before reaching Hodeida (port in western Yemen), our forces board the vessel to ensure the cargo is legal and complies with Resolution 2216,” adopted by the UN Security Council in April 2015 and prohibiting the delivery of arms to the rebels in Yemen, he said.

The coalition, which began its bombing campaign against rebels in Yemen in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognized government, accuses Iran of arming the Houthi insurgents and their allies.

The United States has made similar accusations, but Tehran denies the charges.

Saying that Yemen has been under blockade since March 2015 “gives the wrong impression,” Assiri said.

Ships carrying food and medical aid as well as people and goods have reached “all ports, including those controlled by the Houthis” such as Hodeida, he said.

But he acknowledged that only “aircraft from humanitarian organizations and the United Nations” can land or take off from rebel-controlled capital Sanaa.

“They are the only aircraft that do not undergo inspection,” he said.

Asked why commercial aircraft from national carrier Yemenia can no longer operate in Sanaa, stranding thousands of civilians, Assiri said this was to ensure passenger safety and that the airline was not used by the rebels to transfer arms.

He said that planes can use the airport in second city Aden which pro-government forces recaptured with the help of the coalition in July 2015.

If the road between Sanaa and Aden is too risky for civilian use, “it’s because of the Houthis,” he said.

“We are not angels,” he said. “But this is an exceptional period that requires exceptional measures.”

“We understand the difficulties facing the population in Yemen, but the situation has changed” because of the war.

On humanitarian aid, Assiri said the “problem is not that it is not coming to Yemen, but who controls it” once it enters.

He accused the rebels of blocking aid outside the government-held city of Taiz, which the insurgents have besieged for months, or at Hodeida.

They “sell it for prices three to 10 times higher, or use it to feed their troops or pressure tribes that do not work with them,” he charged.

Nearly 6,900 people have been killed in the Yemen conflict, more than half of them civilians, an additional three million have been displaced and millions more need food aid.

Hillary routinely bullied her bodyguards
[NATIONALREVIEW] Hillary Clinton
... sometimes described as America's Blond Eminence and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Timothy Pickering ...
’s "treatment of DS [Department of State] agents on her protective detail was so contemptuous that many of them sought reassignment or employment elsewhere," according to a just-released summary of an FBI interview with a former State Department official.

“Prior to CLINTON’s tenure, being an agent on the Secretary of State’s protective detail was seen as an honor and privilege reserved for senior agents. However, by the end of CLINTON’s tenure, it was staffed largely with new agents because it was difficult to find senior agents willing to work for her.”

Clinton’s State Department agents are hardly the first to complain about her bullying.

“She derives pleasure from lording over other people who cannot do anything about it and who are less powerful than she is,” author Ronald Kessler told Newsmax TV’s J. D. Hayworth. In fact, Clinton’s well-documented history of profane, unhinged outbursts against those who work for her spans decades."
My wife used to work with a retired Secret Service agent in the late '90's, while Bill was still prez. He described her the same way then.

#1  What amazes me is that this woman eats with that same mouth. Hillary, Obama, Biden, Ksine, and Moochel are parading around accusing Trump of using foul language. Why, they even tell us we have to hide the children so they don't hear this kind of language. As I recall Biden was caught saying to Obama the following when the "Affordable" care act was shoved down our throats: "the vice president turned to the president and said, as he embraced Obama, "This is a big fucking deal." Moreover, Obama and Michelle recently invited to the White House some of the most thuggish, violent, foul-mouthed rappers/hip hopper artists(?) who preach misogymy and violence against the police. C'mon gimme a break from these phony, hypocritical bullshit artists who try to sell us their faux outraged indignation.

Is it not far worse that Hillary was FLOTUS/co-POTUS when the government of the Clintons and another corrupted attorney general (Janet Reno) killed the Branch Davidians (a splinter group of the 7th-Day Adventists) during the Waco Massacre after a 51-day siege where a total of 82 civilians, mostly women, children and the elderly–half of them people of color were murdered? Recall that a year earlier, the mother and child who were shot and killed at Ruby Ridge by FBI snipers? Another Clinton administration will not be the friend of American any more than it was during the first Clinton administration. The millennials and women (the I'm With Her crowd) who are likely to vote for Hillary probably do not know about these events. Do you think you would be treated any differently than the Branch Davidians or Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge (Randy Weaver, a former Iowa factory worker and U.S. Army combat engineer, moved with his family to northern Idaho during the 1980s in order to "home-school his children and escape what he and his wife Vicki saw as a corrupted world." if it suited a Hillary administration? Do you feel lucky or special?

#3  You know, it only takes a second or two to look away when something nasty comes your way and the problem is settled.

Screwing with the Praetorian Guard doesn't have a good record of consequences for other rulers in history.

Then again 'good old' Marxist view of history seems stuck in the old industrial revolution period.

#5  A few emperors were stupid enough to really fuck the guard over. Most of the later ones that fell to the guard didn't pay them as much as the guy who wanted the throne.

#6  I have a friend who recently retired from the Secret Service. I asked him if he had ever had to work with Hillary. He got a disgusted look on his face and said "I can deal with tough cookies. That woman is a tough bitch."
