The Annual NYT Column - How To Ruin Thanksgiving
Every year, it's the same thing - lecture your relatives from the left.
Here’s what we learned after the ugliest presidential campaign in modern times.

The voters you blame, whose ballots -- for Clinton or Trump -- so mystify and offend you, are not a distant, unfamiliar America. They are sitting across the dinner table, or the office cubicle, or the bed. They are your parents, your siblings, your friends.

Who wants to have that tough conversation, about why they voted as they did and about how it makes you feel? Just about nobody. So we avoid it. But like it or not, these people are in your life. The holidays are upon us. And deep down, you may actually want to have this talk. You may need to have this talk.

-War on Police-
Suspect in shooting of St. Louis police officer killed in shootout
A man being sought as a suspect in the shooting of a St. Louis police officer Sunday night was shot and killed in a shootout with police early Monday.

Undercover officers had found the suspect's car abandoned at a parking garage at Laclede's Landing, police said. A woman had picked him up there and officers tracked their vehicle to the intersection of Smiley and Leola avenues in St. Louis. The suspect, about 19 years old, apparently realized he was being followed, jumped out of the car and fired a shot at the officers, striking the windshield of their pickup truck.

The suspect ran and officers pursued. He was killed in front of a house about 100 yards up the street, police said, about 12:45 a.m. The suspect's identity was not immediately released. The woman was in custody.

He was being sought for questioning in the shooting of a St. Louis police sergeant about 7:30 p.m. Sunday near Hampton and Pernod avenues. A driver had pulled up next to the sergeant's SUV and opened fire.

“He was targeted because he was a police officer,” Mayor Francis Slay said at a press conference at Barnes Jewish Hospital. “He didn’t stop anybody. He didn’t point a gun at anybody."

Police said the sergeant, 46, had been shot twice in the face and was conscious. He was in critical but stable condition and expected to live. He is a 20-year veteran of the department.

The shooting in St. Louis comes on the same day that a police officer in San Antonio was shot to death while writing a ticket. Also, a police officer in Sanibel, Fla., was shot and wounded as he conducted a traffic stop Sunday evening. And late Sunday, a police officer and a suspect were shot during a traffic stop about 10:30 p.m. in the Kansas City suburb of Gladstone, Mo. That officer is expected to recover; no information on the shooter was available.

When police arrived at the shooting scene in St. Louis, the sergeant was sitting in his SUV, his seatbelt was fastened and his gun was holstered.

“He didn’t have time to react to this threat,” Police Chief Sam Dotson said.

A source told the Post-Dispatch that the sergeant said a car had pulled up beside his SUV and the officer thought the driver was going to ask him a question. Instead, the person in the car fired at the officer. The sergeant did not get a good look at the shooter, the source said.

“The officer says he saw the muzzle flashes and felt the glass breaking in his window as the shots came through and struck him in the head,” Dotson said.

The police sergeant has two bullets lodged in his face, one near his nose, the other in his cheek, a source told the Post-Dispatch. The officer has three children and works out of the Second District.

When other police arrived at the scene, the sergeant’s SUV was in the left lane on Hampton facing south. Shattered glass from the driver’s side window could be seen on the street.

Police thought the car involved in the shooting may have been connected to a car taken in a carjacking Saturday in the Affton area, a source said. Police said the suspect in the Affton case also was being sought for questioning in a homicide Saturday in St. Louis. In that case, firefighters responding to a car fire found a man who had been shot in the head in the 500 block of West Poepping Street. Dotson said it was too early in the investigation to say whether this shooting was related to the Affton case. The car in that case was tan; the police sergeant said the car that had pulled up next to him was silver.

Police were looking for a silver vehicle that may have gone east on Pernod. They also were scouring the area near Pernod for surveillance video, Dotson said.

“Fortunately, and for the blessing of God, the officer is going to survive tonight,” Dotson said. “But he was shot twice in the head, twice in the face.”

He, too, asked for the help from the public.

“It’s not [just] a threat to our police department, it’s a threat to our community, our city,” Dotson said. “This officer was driving down the road and was ambushed by an individual who pointed a gun at him from inside of his car and shot out the police officer’s window. This just shows the dangers of policing, not only here in St. Louis but around the country.”

All officers are now patrolling two officers to a car, he said.

The site of the shooting was by St. Joan of Arc School and a half block north of the St. Louis Police Officers Association Union Hall.

Yes, Trump Can Screen Visitors From Terror Hotbeds Immediately
[PJ] PJ Media's own J. Christian Adams was on Megyn Kelly's show to discuss the possibility of Trump immediately enhancing the screening of visitors arriving from hotbeds of terror.

Foreigners are not granted the same constitutional rights as American citizens -- an obvious point, as no nation on Earth grants foreigners all of the same protections as residents.

As Adams explains, the president-elect could easily sign enhanced screening of visitors from certain areas into law, and that it would be fully constitutional.

Megyn Kelly seemed horrified -- but Adams explains that this measure is one that can keep Americans safe.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Ernie's story
"There’s a process that every kid goes through. Crawl at nine months, walk at 12 months, and then start talking and so on. With our son Ben we began thinking: ’Why is he not crawling? Why is he not walking? Why is he not looking me in the eye?’ Things like that. We soon discovered he was quite profoundly impacted by Autism.

"One in 68 children is affected by Autism and that was perhaps the most shocking thing about all of this; the number of people it affects. It hits the whole family hard. For a long time you are trying to figure out ’What just happened to my life?’ You feel sorry for yourself and for your kid and for your family. And the tragedy is that even in this day and age, the kid who has Autism is often forgotten about. The feeling is that he’s almost a waste of time, which says a lot more about society than it does the child. It’s heartbreaking.

Ben’s condition was the main driving force behind our decision to relocate our base from Wentworth to Florida. The move has benefits for my golf, but more importantly we have been able to secure a more intensive form of therapy for Ben. And he’s doing great. He might act and say things a little differently from other kids, and he obviously has some difficulties, but he understands everything we say and is particularly in tune with our emotions; it’s almost like a sixth sense. And thank God he’s got such a nice nature. He’s a very friendly, very happy, very shy kid and the more loving attention he gets and the smiles that he sees, the better. Samantha, his older sister, is great with him.

"Liezl and I are private people, but we are also very much in the public eye and we recognize that this gives us a platform to help raise funds and awareness for the causes of Autism and its possible treatments. It is something that we both feel very passionate about. We established our Els for Autism Foundation in the spring of 2009. My first goal was to help create a Center of Excellence, based in Florida, a model for the world of what should be available to children on the autism spectrum. The Center broke ground in the spring of 2014 and we welcomed our first students in August 2015, which was a proud and exciting day for all of us. Please click here to read all about this incredible facility.

"Years from now people may remember me as a golfer and a major champion. But I’d like also to be remembered as somebody who took the issue of Autism and did something with it. The rest of my life, I’ll be fighting this thing...I hope you’ll join with me. Thank you." ‐ Ernie Els

23 ISIS militants killed in airstrikes west of Anbar

Anbar – (IraqiNews.com) US-led international coalition air forces killed 23 Islamic State fighters west of al-Anbar province, an Iraqi army official said on Sunday.

The airstrikes were targeting two ISIS havens at the towns of Anah and Rawa, according to Qassem al-Mohammadi, head of al-Jazeera Operations.

Security forces and popular militias have recently concluded preparations to liberate both towns from Islamic State militants.

Iraqi forces, assisted by popular militias and international air forces, have been engaged in a more decisive battle in Mosul, ISIS’s last bastion in Iraq.

Salahuddin officials deport a complete neighborhood for collusion with ISIS

Salahuddin – (IraqiNews.com) Officials at Salahuddin governorate decided Saturday to deport the residents of a whole district to another location for colluding with the Islamic State and hiding the dead bodies of its militants.

Security leaderships decided to deport the residents of al-Askari district under tight security measures for their collusion with the militant group, said Ali al-Dawdah, head of al-Sharqat precinct.

“There are ISIS accomplices in the neighborhood…the district’s residents are part of the group’s accommodators,” said Dawdah. “A group of ISIS militants had killed five members of al-Hashed al-Shaabi…security forces killed five of those, two of them in the Askari district, but people hid their dead bodies and we could not find them.”

Dawdah said the incident was the only security violation that took place on that day, adding that the whole region was under security control.

“Whoever cooperates with ISIS is one of them, and we will never accept that someone collaborates with that terrorist group,” Dawdah stated.

International politicians and human rights organizations fears have been increasing lately as for possible retaliatory actions against the people of towns liberated from ISIS by Iraqi government forces or popular militias. The Iraqi government and militias have, however, assured on civilians safety after the end of operations.

ISIS remains in control over the western coast of Sharqat, using that location as a launching point for attacks on government facilities.

Baghdad Bomb and Bullet Bulletin: 5 dead

5 killed, 15 wounded in central, south Baghdad blast

Baghdad – (iraqiNews.com) Five people were killed and 15 others were wounded when two IED explosions rocked market areas in central and south Baghdad.

A bomb exploded near a popular restaurant in Sheikh Omar neighborhood, Almasalah reported, quoting a government source, adding that three people were killed and six others were wounded.

Another bomb exploded near a popular marketplace at Youssefiya, south of Baghdad, killing 2 and wounding 9, the website reported.

Baghdad has recently witnessed a surge in deadly bombings, with observers commenting that the attacks were possibly carried out by Islamic State militants to divert security authorities attention from Mosul, where the extremist group has witnessed a month of consecutive defeats to Iraqi forces and popular militias struggling to liberate the city.

The United Nations has recently said that 58000 people were killed across Iraq since ISIS occupied wide parts of the country.

ISIS detains its members fleeing from Tel Afar in preparation for their execution

Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) The Islamic State extremist group (ISIS) prevented it members who fled the battles of Tel Afar Airport from returning to their families, Alsumaria News reported on Saturday.

Alsumaria News revealed that the Islamic State group (ISIS) prevented dozens of its members, especially Iraqis, from returning back to their families in Tel Afar district, and detained the majority of them in preparation for their mass executions.

“ISIS detained to prevent the total collapse of its internal structure, after inspiring that the battle of Tel Afar airport will be a long one, and al-Hashd al-Shaabi won’t be able to liberate it, but everything changed and the airport was liberated within few hours, despite the large number of car bombs and suicide bombers,” Alsumaria explained.

“Dozens of families who are called fair-skinned (Caucasian and Chechen members of ISIS) started to leave Tel Afar, while local members of the group are not allowed to leave the district,” Alsumaria added.

ISIS steals human organs from its members in Nineveh

Nineveh – (IraqiNews.com) The Islamic State group stole human organs from its members who lay in Nineveh hospitals and transfer them to Syria then to international gangs, Alsumaria News reported on Sunday.

Alsumaria News stated, “A medical unit belonging to the ISIS stole human organs, including kidneys and other organs, from 85 militants in Nineveh hospitals, and transferred them to other hospital in the outskirt of the city.”

“The group lost the majority of its funds, especially crude oil that provided 80% of the total income of the terrorist group, so it started to trade in human organs to revive its finances,” Alsumaria explained.

“Dozens of human organs were stolen from civilians and bodies that were transferred to the forensic medicine department, and then transferred through mediators to Syria then to human organs traders,” Alsumaria added.

MP unveils Baghdad-Ankara agreement limiting al-Hashed al-Shaabi combat role
Baghdad ‐ (IraqiNews.com) An Iraqi MP has disclosed an agreement between the governments in Baghdad and Ankara limiting the role of al-Hashed al-Shaabi paramilitary forces in the liberation of the Nineveh town of Tal Afar.

Nineveh MP Ahmed Madloul al-Jarba said Sunday that the US-sponsored agreement assigns the liberation of Tal Afar to the Iraqi army, limiting the role of al-Hashed al-Shaabi to retaking and besieging the town’s military airport.

"The issue of Tal Afar is possibly the most sensitive when it comes to the liberation of Nineveh," Jarba said, praising Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s ability to manage that issue "with wisdom and without stirring any problem".

Tal Afar has been a concern for The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
which had said it feared that Shia paramilitary forces engaged in combat could carry out retaliatory measures against Sunni Turkmen residents of the town. Turkey’s deployment of troops in Nineveh has also triggered diplomatic war of words with Iraq. While Ankara maintains its presence is merely to train locals on combating ISIS, Baghdad says the deployment and Ankara’s concerns over Tal Afar were a pretext for intervention into the country’s affairs.

On Saturday, al-Hashed al-Shaabi media said the militia successfully liberated the strategic military airport of Tal Afar, proceeding to chase fleeing ISIS bandidos turbans towards the town. al-Hashed said the recapture of the airport represented a major step since it cuts a major supply line for ISIS from Syria’s town of Raqqa, an ISIS stronghold.

On Sunday, Turkish presidency spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin urged the Iraqi government to honour pledges it had made through the United States to keep al-Hashed al-Shaabi away from the Tal Afar battles. Jarba said the statement was a clear reference to the agreement. "We expect that the liberation of Tal Afar will be entrusted to the Iraqi army alone, especially with federal police and anti-terrorism teams being busy with (battles) at the western and eastern sections".

News have been conflicting over al-Hashed al-Sha’bi’s future combat movements after the recapture of the airport. The militia’s media website said Sunday the troops began to set up barricades around the town preparing to storm it.

International-UN-NGOs
Less than a third of Muslim nations join coalition against Islamic State
A TOP British official has taken aim at some Muslim nations during a meeting at the United Nations this week, slamming them for not clamping down on extremism. It comes as it can be revealed just 18 out of 57 Muslim majority world states have signed up to a coalition against ISIS.

The UK’s permanent representative to the UN, Matthew Rycroft, delivered a strongly worded speech blasting what he called "evil groups" and saying not enough is being done.

The comments came as the UN general assembly supported a plan by the Islamic Development Bank to invest £7.2bn to tackle the cause of terror.

Britain is using its muscle at the UN to encourage more cooperation and has also pledged to invest £20m of taxpayers’ money to the Arab Women’s Enterprise Fund.

Mr Rycroft said: "One issue facing the OIC’s (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) members, indeed all members of the UN, is the growing threat of extremist ideologies and violent extremism.

"Sadly, as we in this Council know only too well, this threat affects Muslim majority states in a truly disproportionate way ‐ in Iraq, in Syria, in Libya, in so many places.

Worryingly, Mr Rycroft pointed out that just 18 of the 57 member states, with a collective population of over 1.6 billion ‐ that makes up the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation which was founded in 1969 ‐ are members of the Global Coalition against Da’esh.

#1  So, 2/3 of Muslim nations are neutral, at best, or supportive of ISIS.

Sounds like all those polls showing Muslims that are active supporters of terrorists vs. quiet supporters vs. against terrorists. Speaks to the rare "moderate Moslem".

#2  I think it might be appropriate to announce that the US will seek to establish an all moslem combat unit to fight against ISIS (later against Boko H or the Taliban or Al Shabab). First troops would be from existing US and British forces and these would train new volunteers.

It would be unrealistic to count on this reaching Division strength, but it should at least be enough to play a prominent role in the liberation of Raqqa.

Let's see if the various Imans in the West support it. If not, well it tells us something important and in a meaningful way.

Clinton Ally Kathleen Kane Sentenced to Jail
[WEEKLYSTANDARD] Former Pennsylvania attorney general and Hillary Clinton
... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, sometimes described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as a crook...
ally Kathleen Kane received 10 to 23 months of jail time on Monday, months after resigning her position upon being convicted of multiple criminal offenses, including two felony counts of perjury.

Kane was found guilty for leaking secret grand jury documents conducted under a Republican predecessor and later lying under oath about her activities. Prior to sentencing, she asked the court to consider her family in handing down its decision, and her defense argued that the loss of her job and the damage done to her career was sufficient. But the prosecution presented testimony that attested to the damage Kane did to the state government.

[Daily Excelsior] Four Army jawans were maimed as Pakistain army tonight again resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing with automatic weapons along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote and Tarkundi sectors of Poonch district and Manjakote sector in Rajouri.

A Northern Command statement posted on its official twitter account late tonight said four Army jawans were maimed in Pakistain shelling and firing in Rajouri sector.

"The Pakistain shelling is being responded to and will be responded appropriately," the official statement said.

Sources said four Army jawans were maimed in Pakistain shelling at Manjakote sector in Rajouri district. They have been evacuated from the firing site and admitted to hospital.

Reports said that Pakistain army fired mortars and resorted to firing with automatic weapons at Tarkundi and Balakote sectors of Poonch and Manjakote in Rajouri targeting forward posts of the Army and civilian locations.

Indian side retaliated effectively to silent the Pak guns.

Intermittent exchange of shelling and firing was going on when the reports last came in.

Pakistan ‘can and must’ do more against terror groups in its soil: White House
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The White House has said Pakistain ’can and must’ do more against the terrorist groups operating in its soil, it has been reported.

Emphasizing that no state should allow its soil to be used by any terror group to launch attacks on other countries, a senior White House official has said "Recognising the sacrifices of the people and the security forces of Pakistain in fighting some myrmidon and terrorist networks, a fight which we support, President Barack Obama

has emphasised that Pakistain ’can and must’ also take more effective action against terrorist groups operating from its soil."

The official further added "The president has made it very clear that no state should allow its territory to be used by turbans to launch attacks into another state, and we will continue to engage on this issue."

The official was responding to an online petition, ’We the People’, launched by Indians in the US that was signed by 665,769 people.

This comes as Pakistain has been accused of allowing certain myrmidon groups to use its soil for planning and coordinating attacks in its neighboring states.

The officials have long been criticizing Pakistain for allowing the Taliban and Haqqani terrorist networks to openly operate in Pakistain.

According to the Afghan officials, the two myrmidon groups are having leadership councils based in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar

They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) launched another powerful assault at the Deir Ezzor Airport on Sunday, targeting the southern gates of this strategic military installation.

ISIS began the assault by launching two different attacks from two different axes, striking the Syrian Arab Army's defenses at both the al-Jafra Farms and southern perimeter of the Deir Ezzor Military Airport.

According to a military source at the Deir Ezzor Airport, the Syrian Arab Army quickly repelled the assault at the al-Jafra Farms after destroying an armed bulldozer and BMP tank with their anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM).

The military source added that the Syrian Armed Forces engaged the Islamic State Death Eaters for nearly four hours at the southern perimeter of the airport, killing more than 20 snuffies during the battle.

This latest attack on Sunday was the terrorist group's 3rd attempt this week to breach the Syrian Arab Army's defenses at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport.

At least 120 killed as train derails in India
[DAWN] Emergency workers raced to find any more survivors in the mangled wreckage of an Indian train that derailed Sunday, killing at least 120 people, in the worst disaster to hit the country's ageing rail network in recent years.

Shocked passengers recalled being jolted out of their early morning slumber by a violent thud as 14 carriages leapt from the tracks in a remote area near Kanpur city in Uttar Pradesh state.

Survivors also told of their desperate search for loved-ones on the train, which was carrying at least one wedding party with the marriage season in India in full swing.

"My 12-year-old daughter is missing, I have been looking for her for hours," a survivor told AFP at the accident site, breaking into uncontrollable sobs. "My wife has received serious head injuries and I have lost all my belongings. I am feeling so helpless, my whole world has turned upside down."

Militias shoot it out over bank branch protection
[Libya Herald] Rival militias have fought each other in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
’s Hay Andalous in a dispute over who should be guarded the local branch of the National Commercial Bank. The frontages of the bank and neighbouring stores were damaged but there were no reports of any injuries.

It is understood that a militia calling itself "The Rapid Intervention Force" had for some time taken upon itself the protection of this NCB branch. Their control was challenged by a Misratan group who locals said is headed by two individuals known as "Muza" (Goat) and "Asfur" (Sparrow). It is unclear which of these gangs is now protecting the bank branch.

Earlier this month, a similar dispute in Seyahia, thought to be between the same groups, left five people dead outside a black market money changers which was torched.

Since the Revolution banks have become regular targets for gangs. In August the Central Bank said that beginning in 2012, there had been 56 attacks on banks. These ranged from armed robbery, murders, staff kidnapping, armed threats, destruction of bank property, armed blockades as well as attacks on vehicles moving money to and from branches.

Wife of Mokhtar Belmokhtar captured in Cyrenaica
[Libya Herald] The wife of Mokhtar Belmokhtar, the Algerian-born head of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), is reported to have been tracked down and locked away
Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please!
near the desert town of Mechili, some 100 kilometres south of Beida. She and another Tunisian woman, together with their driver, were caught heading towards Jufra, south of Sirte, according to the Libyan news agency LANA.

It quotes the front man of the Beida government’s anti-terrorism and subversion directorate, Sami al-Matrih, saying that the women were ambushed following a tip-off.

It is being suggested that they were on their way to meet Belmokhtar in southern Libya. There is no other confirmation of the report, however.

A number of reports claim that Belmokhtar was the prime target of the air raid on Gurdah al-Shatti six days ago in which a number of AQIM fighters were said to have been killed.

Although the anti-terrorism directorate has said that the one of the two Tunisian women arrested is Belmokhtar’s wife, it has not named her.

It was not previously recorded known that he had a Tunisian wife. He is known to have had four but they were supposedly all from Mali.

Belmokhtar has used southern Libya as a base on numerous occasions. His notorious attack on the January 2013 seizure of the In Amenas gas facility in Algeria in which 40 people died, almost all foreigners, is believed to have been organised from Libya.

Turkey’s Erdogan warns NATO on sheltering ‘terrorist’ plotters
[ALMASDARNEWS] Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
on Sunday warned NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
against sheltering "terrorist" soldiers after Turkish officers in the alliance’s command reportedly sought asylum after a failed putsch.

"How can a terrorist, a terrorist soldier, a soldier who has been involved in plotting a coup, be employed in NATO?" Erdogan told journalists on a plane from Uzbekistan, the Milliyet newspaper reported.

"They cannot do such a thing," he said.

On Friday, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said a number of Turkish officers serving in NATO command positions had requested asylum following the botched coup on July 15.

Neither Stoltenberg nor Erdogan provided a number, although Erdogan said it was not high.

Erdogan said his government demanded that soldiers who asked for asylum be extradited and warned the alliance against providing them with a haven.

"NATO cannot entertain accepting asylum requests of this kind. Those in question are accused of terror," he said.

Stoltenberg said the NATO countries concerned would make their own asylum decisions rather than the alliance headquarters in Brussels.

"We would be wrong if we started to go into that kind of legal issue; that’s for the judicial system" of the countries concerned, Stoltenberg said.

Queen to invite Trump to Britain for state visit
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Queen Elizabeth will invite US President-elect Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
for a state visit to Britannia next year to try to cement close ties between the two countries, The Sunday Times newspaper said.

Citing two ministers and a bigwig close to Downing Street, the Sunday Times reported that discussions between British officials and Trump's team would start soon to ensure that a date could be agreed for June or July next year.

Britannia is keen to reinforce its "special relationship" with the United States as the government of Prime Minister Theresa May prepares to leave the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, a divorce that will shape the country's standing in the world.

Trump invited May to visit him as soon as possible during their first telephone call since his election victory, the British prime minister's office has said. Aides for May have said as yet there is no date for the trip.

The Sunday Times said the British government hopes that an official state visit will be its "secret weapon" for cementing ties after Trump met leading Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage earlier this month - the first British politician to do so.

The newspaper also said the president-elect told May during their phone call last week that his late Scottish mother was a "big fan" of the Queen and asked the prime minister to pass on his best wishes to her.

Iraq
Nineveh governor sacks top security officials for recent ISIS infiltrations
[RUDAW.NET] The governor of Nineveh has sacked three top security and government officials in Qayyarah for failing to protect the town against a recent ISIS holy warrior infiltration weeks after its liberation by Iraqi troops.

An official told Rudaw that the governor sacked the Nineveh police chief, head of police intelligence and the mayor of Qayyarah because ISIS holy warriors had managed to infiltrate Imam Gharbi village near Shargat on Saturday where they had remained in control for several hours.

Qayyarah was liberated by Iraqi troops at the end of August. It is 60 KM southeast of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
The fired mayor Salim Jabouri defended his position, saying he has no power over security forces though he is legally in charge of the police.

"It is true that I am the head of the security committee, but I have no power over the security forces, because I am not a security commander and therefore cannot move around the security forces."

Ghazwan Dawudi, a member of the Nineveh Provincial Council confirmed the sackings by the governor.

Iraqi War Media office said in a statement on Saturday night: "The heroic federal police were able to reclaim the area and killed more than 40 terrorists...with the support of the international coalition."

Dawudi said the police chief, Wathiq al-Hamdani failed to protect the area when a group of ISIS holy warriors attacked Saturday.

Afghanistan accuses Iran of supporting Taliban
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Afghanistan security forces have formally complained of Iran logistically and militarily supporting the myrmidon activities of the Afghan Taliban group.

Television that Iran supports the myrmidon group by hosting training exercises inside the country.

A former foreign ministry official told German media outlet Deutsche Welle: "This is the first time that Iran has confessed to supporting the Taliban. In the past, they always blamed Pakistain for this."

Late in October, Al Arabiya English reported on how one Afghan Taliban leader revealed details of his group’s relations with Iran.

"The movement is trying to benefit from all legitimate means to reach a regional agreement as part of the war against the American invasion; therefore, the Imara holds ongoing networks with a large number of regional and neighboring states," he said at the time.

He said to the London-based Asharq al-Awsat in an email 19 months ago, that the movement had received drone planes from Iran, which help film suicidal operations.

Europe
Sweden paid ISIS fighter $600 a month in child benefits
A Swedish fighter for the terror group ISIS claimed over 50,000 Swedish kroner in benefits while living and working in its Raqqa stronghold. Michael Skråmo, who goes by the name of Abdul Samad al Swedi, took his wife and four small children to Syria in August 2014, settling in Raqqa. He has since appeared in a string of propaganda videos, sometimes with his children, posing with a Kalashnikov assault rifle.

According to Sweden’s Göteborgs Tidning (GT) newspaper, it took more than a year for Sweden’s welfare agency Försäkringskassan to sent a letter to Skråmo’s Gothenburg address informing him that his child and housing benefit had been discontinued.

"Försäkringskassan has stopped payments of child benefits and housing benefits for your children,” the letter, which has been passed to the newspaper, reads.

Magnus Ranstorp, a terrorism researcher at Sweden’s National Defence University, said he suspected that even the 5,814 kronor Skråmo and his wife received each month in child benefits would have been enough to support them in Raqqa, even without their payments for housing benefit.

“It exposes how weak the system seems to be in its control mechanisms,” he told GT. “Michael Skråmo has been one of the most well-known IS sympathisers for quite some time. Police should be able to somehow sound the alarm and inform all the authorities when someone has journeyed down there.”

According to the newspaper, Skråmo’s payments appeared to have been stopped eight months after he and his family left Sweden. He also owes 61,842 kronor in unpaid rent to his old landlord.

His wife sent an email in April to Gothenburg’s court, advising a debt collection agency to lay down the cases against her, as she was not planning to return to Sweden.

“To make it simple for you, you don’t need to send more papers to me,” she wrote in the email. “I am not in Sweden and am probably never in my life going to come back… so for your own sake, can you just drop it all ;).”

Dems Vote to Replace Elections Official Who Claimed Voter Fraud Rampant in NYC
[OBSERVER] The Manhattan Democratic Party convened an emergency meeting today to nominate a replacement for New York City Board of Elections Commissioner Alan Schulkin, who rocketed to prominence when a conservative nonprofit caught him on hidden camera alleging voter fraud is rampant in New York City’s minority neighborhoods.

Under the eye of Assemblyman Keith Wright, chairman of the New York County Democratic Committee, members voted unanimously to nominate Jeanine Johnson, his chief of staff and attorney--who received a drunk driving charge last year, according to the New York Post. Schulkin told the Observer before the meeting started that he made a decision not to seek a new four-year term on the board last August, well before Project Veritas published the undercover video this October in which he alleged organizations bus voters from poll site to poll site in nonwhite neighborhoods.

He said he chose to step down because he’s "getting a little bit older" and there’s "a lot of things I wanted to do in life" besides being the commissioner, which he said is "a lot of work."

"The county leader asked me to stay on through certification and we agreed. Our relationship is fantastic," he said. "He’s worked well with me over the last two years and he has no hard feelings and whoever you guys pick, I will fully support and help in any way possible."

This revelation is odd, since Schulkin pointedly refused to comply with Mayor Bill de Blasio’s calls he step down after the video surfaced. After the meeting, the outgoing commissioner disputed a question about why he resisted those calls for his resignation when he was planning to do so all along.

"Very simple: because I believe in the integrity of the Board of Elections and it was only one person calling for me to resign, and that was the mayor," Schulkin said, noting that the city BOE is under the control of the county party organizations and the City Council, not Gracie Mansion. province of Afghanistan.

The Afghan intelligence, National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS), said the Haqqani network commander, Syed Rahman also famous as Khyber was arrested from the vicinity of Zurmat district.

NDS further added that Syed Rahman was involved in major terrorist activities including kabooms, liquidation of government officials, murder of the tribal elders.

According to NDS, the network’s commander was leading a group of at least 20 bully boyz to conduct insurgency activities in this province.

The anti-government armed bully boy groups have not commented regarding the report so far.

This comes as a top commander of the Haqqani terrorist network was killed during an operation of the Afghan police forces in this province earlier this month.

The Haqqani terrorist network is accused of staging numerous deadly attacks in Afghanistan including a coordinated attack on VIP protection unity in Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
which left at least 74 people dead and over 300 others maimed.

Syrian govt rejects UN proposal on eastern Aleppo
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Syrian government refused the UN envoy’s latest proposal for a truce in Aleppo on Sunday, calling on Lions of Islam to withdraw and saying it would not grant autonomy to the rebel-held east in exchange for calm.

UN envoy Staffan de Mistura has proposed that the Syrian government grant eastern Aleppo autonomy in exchange for peace, and called on the estimated 900 al-Qaeda-linked bandidos Lions of Islam in the east to depart to other rebel-held territory.

But Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said restoring government rule was a matter of "national illusory sovereignty," and that Damascus would not allow the people of eastern Aleppo to be "hostages to 6,000 gunnies."

"We agreed on the need that forces of Evil should get out of east Aleppo to end the suffering of the civilians in the city," he said.

He spoke after meeting with de Mistura, who acknowledged a "major disagreement" with al-Moallem and said a "creative" if interim solution was required to halt the violence.

"We are only proposing that there should not be a radical dramatic change in the administration of Aleppo until there is a political solution," he said.

The envoy warned in a recent interview with the UK newspaper The Guardian that the government was chasing a "pyrrhic victory" in Aleppo if it does not reach a political settlement with the opposition.

He warned the military’s approach would drive more moderate rebels into the ranks of ISIS.

At least 172 civilians have been killed since the government renewed its assault on the besieged enclave six days ago, according to the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The UN estimates 275,000 people are trapped inside. By Saturday, the government had damaged or destroyed every hospital in the east, according to the Syrian American Medical Society, which supports hospitals in Syria.

The government denies striking hospitals, and de Mistura said there was a "difference of opinion" about the attacks. He said he had proposed sending an observer team to inspect all the hospitals in Aleppo, but that the idea was not discussed further.

The Grand Turk
Fed up with EU, Erdogan says Turkey could join Shanghai bloc
[CA.NEWS.YAHOO] President Tayyip Erdogan was quoted on Sunday as saying that The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
did not need to join the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
"at all costs" and could instead become part of a security bloc dominated by China, Russia and Central Asian nations.

NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis....
member Turkey's prospects of joining the EU look more remote than ever after 11 years of negotiations. European leaders have been critical of its record on democratic freedoms, while Ankara has grown increasingly exasperated by what it sees as Western condescension.

"Turkey must feel at ease. It mustn't say 'for me it's the European Union at all costs'. That's my view," Erdogan was quoted by the Hurriyet newspaper as telling news hounds on his plane on the way back from a visit to Pakistain and Uzbekistan.

"Why shouldn't Turkey be in the Shanghai Five? I said this to (Russian President) Mr Putin, to (Kazakh President) Nazarbayev, to those who are in the Shanghai Five now," he said.

"I hope that if there is a positive development there, I think if Turkey were to join the Shanghai Five, it will enable it to act with much greater ease."

China, Russia and four Central Asian nations -- Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan -- formed the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in 2001 as a regional security bloc to fight threats posed by radical Islam and drug trafficking from neighboring Afghanistan.

Fillon and Juppé knock out Sarkozy in French primary
Dark horse François Fillon and fellow former PM Alain Juppé won through to the second round of the French presidential primary on Sunday, knocking out Nicolas Sarkozy in the process. Results for France's right wing primary showed François Fillon as the victor in the first round of the primary for next year's French presidential election, with ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy suffering a crushing exit.

Initial results suggested it was going to be a bad night for Sarkozy with Fillon enjoying a strong lead and Juppé in second place. As the results drifted in throughout Sunday evening it became clear Sarkozy's attempted comeback had ended in a humiliating way in the first round primary.

He conceded defeat around 10pm.

"I did not manage to convince the voters," Sarkozy said in a speech to supporters, before announcing he would give his support to François Fillon.

"Those who voted for me are free to do what they choose," said Sarkozy.

When the results are confirmed after all the votes have been counted it will mean that Fillon has pulled off a remarkable come-from-behind victory in the first round after trailing Sarkozy and Juppe in all but the final days of the two-month campaign.

Fillon, described in France as a Thatcherite for the radical economic measures he proposes, had gathered 44 percent of the vote, with over three quarters of the polling stations having declared. Alain Juppé the pre-vote favourite had picked up 28.1 percent and Nicolas Sarkozy, the former president, gathered 21.1 percent.

Jewish, Arab fertility rates in Israel on par for first time
As it has been said, the times, they are a-changin'.
[IsraelTimes] Arab rate drops, Jewish rate rises, and women in both groups now give birth to an average of 3.13 children, highest in OECD.

The fertility rates of Jewish and Arab women were identical for the first time in Israeli history in 2015, according to figures released by the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday to mark International Child Day.

Jewish and Arab women had given birth to an average of 3.13 children as of last year, the report said.

In 2000, the fertility among the country’s Arab population stood at 4.3 children per woman, while the fertility rate of Jewish women was 2.6. Since then the gap has narrowed as the Arab rate dropped off and the Jewish fertility rates steadily increased.

At the end of 2015 there were 2.8 million children in Israel aged between 0-17, amounting to 33 percent of the population, of whom roughly two million (71.3%) were Jewish, 718,000 were Arab (25.7%) and 84,000 (3.0%) classified as others.

Israel’s fertility rate is the highest among the developed countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, according to data on the organization’s website. The youth population was the second highest in the OECD behind only Mexico in 2013, the most recent year with available data.

There were on average 2.4 children per household across the country. The city of Beit Shemesh had the highest average with 3.8 children per household, Bnei Brak next with 3.4 and in Jerusalem, the capital, there were three children per household. All three cities have large ultra-Orthodox populations who tend to have larger families than the national average.

The coastal city of Bat Yam had the lowest youth population with just 1.8 children per household.

The income of households with children was 1.3 times higher than homes without, NIS 17,658 ($4,595) a month compared to NIS 13,624 ($3,545), but the expenses were 1.4 times as high standing at NIS 14,677 ($3,819) compared to NIS 10,422 ($2,712).

Bolton warns Obama on Israel action at UN
[The Hill] Former United Nations Ambassador John Bolton warned Sunday that President Obama should not take any actions before leaving office that could hurt Israel at the U.N.

Bolton said during an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis that there is "a lot of speculation over in Turtle Bay at U.N. headquarters about resolutions that recognize a Palestinian state or that try and set a boundary for Israel based on the 1967 ceasefire lines."

"I think that’d be very inadvisable for the president to do that," he said.

Obama said during his final speech as president at the U.N. General Assembly that Israel would be in a better position if it did not "permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land" and Palestinians would be better off if they were to "reject incitement," according to the Jerusalem Post.

Bolton said Sunday that Trump's transition team is "doing an excellent job," noting that Trump has spoken with various world leaders who have congratulated him on winning the election.

"They’re obviously very, very interested in finding out more about him, more about what his administration’s priorities are going to be," Bolton said.

Bolton, who served as ambassador to the U.N. under George W. Bush, is reportedly among those being considered to be secretary of State under Trump.

"I think part of the uncertainty that people feel is that they know that America's foreign policy is going to change. That's what democracy does. You get new leaders and the country moves in a different direction," Bolton said.

Saudi intellectual: Arabs block civilization
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Al Arabiya: Professor Ibrahim Albleahy, what was the formation of your ideology and what were the pivotal moments which led you to explore the Arab-Muslim community’s dilemma through philosophy?

Albleahy: In my childhood, I recognized that there was a huge gap not only between us as Arabs and Muslims, but between all the nations on the one hand, and the West on the other.

The West, and no one else, is the architect of this eminent civilization that is qualitatively different from everything that humanity has known throughout history. The evolvement of the nations that tagged along was proportional to what they were inspired by from the West, hence, I yearned to explore the dynamics that facilitated the West’s advancement and kept other nations lagging behind.

'The Adults Are Back in the White House': Gorka Praises Trump's Admin Picks
President-elect Donald Trump continued to fill out his administration Friday, announcing he will nominate Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions for attorney general, Kansas Rep. Mike Pompeo as director of the Central Intelligence Agency and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as national security adviser.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka appeared on "Fox & Friends Weekend" this morning to share insight on what these picks tell us about the direction of our country, particularly when it comes to national security.

Gorka said that anyone who voted for Trump because they have concerns about terrorism, border security and radical Islam can "rest easy."

"The grownups are in charge," Gorka said. "The adults are back in the White House in the cabinet."

He explained that Flynn is an extremely experienced general and a true "soldier's soldier," Sessions is a leading proponent of tough immigration enforcement policies, and Pompeo has an amazing resume, graduating first in his class at West Point, editing the Harvard Law Review and serving on the House Intelligence Committee.

"This is an amazing start for America," Gorka said.

Kenya Police Kill Shaboobs at Somali Border
A Kenyan official says police officers killed four suspected extremists at the Somali border, a region hard-hit by recent attacks by the Somali extremist group al-Shabab.

North Eastern Regional Coordinator Mohamud Saleh said Sunday that police killed the men while ambushing a group of about 20 suspected members of a cell of al-Shabab militants on Saturday. Saleh says the group allegedly was planning an attack on a police station. He says police recovered four rifles and Somali army military jackets.

Al-Shabab, the al-Qaeda affiliate in East Africa, has vowed retribution on Kenya for its troop presence in Somalia.

French anti-terror judges charge French teen jihadist
Anti-terrorist judges have charged a French teenager over links to an ISIS extremist suspected of instigating several attacks in France, a judicial source said Satu

The 17-year-old boy was allegedly in touch with French-born jihadist Rachid Kassim,
...the 29 year old former child carer from a town north of Lyon who has 317 friends on his Telegram account, several of whom have already been arrested...
who is believed to have inspired an attack this year in which a senior French policeman and his partner were knifed to death and another in which an elderly priest's throat was cut. The teenager, born in Belgium, was arrested this week in the western city of Rennes, where his family moved recently.

His name has appeared in an investigation into a 16-year-old girl arrested in August on suspicion of seeking to commit an act of terror in the name of jihad, based on a messages on Telegram -- the encrypted messaging app popular among French radicals. The boy, who called himself Abou Omar in the exchanges, was also active on Telegram, in particular in the account run by Kassim.

Investigators suspect he may also have been planning an attack, sources close to the probe said. At least 15 people, some of them minors, have been arrested in France since last summer for threatening attacks inspired by calls issued on Telegram by Kassim, 29, from IS-controlled areas of Iraq or Syria.

More than 200 people have been killed in attacks in France since 2015, including 130 who died in the November, 2015 Islamic State attacks in Paris.

Shocker: In Wake of Hillary's Defeat, Donations to Clinton Foundation Dry Up
[PJ] Who could have seen this coming?

Donations to the Clinton Foundation plummeted amid Hillary Clinton's failed presidential run, it has been revealed. The non-profit organization's latest tax filings show contributions fell 37 per cent to $108million - down from $172million in 2014, according to the New York Post.

Donations fell as the former Secretary of State left the group in April last year shortly after announcing her run for the White House. Her departure also meant that revenue brought in from paid speeches plunged from $3.6 million in 2014 to just $357,500.

The foundation became an issue during the presidential campaign when Donald Trump pledged to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate it amid pay-to-play allegations. Trump called the foundation 'the most corrupt enterprise in political history' adding, 'It must be shut down immediately.'

The Clintons really did gamble everything on hoisting the Dowager Empress of Chappaqua into the White House, because the only alternative was the Big House.

Restored World War II PT boat leaves museum for trip to Lake Pontchartrain
[New Orleans Advocate] Just after 7 a.m. Saturday, a 78-foot-long wooden patrol torpedo boat from World War II rolled through the Warehouse District, starting at the National World War II Museum. After it passed around and behind the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to the Erato Street cruise ship terminal, a crane lifted the restored boat, PT-305, onto a Mississippi River barge that would take it to the Industrial Canal for sea trials and crew training. By April, museum officials hope to launch the boat on Lake Pontchartrain, where it will be housed in a custom-built boathouse and will be available for rides.

A Handy Guide For Liberals Who Are Suddenly Interested In Gun Ownership
[Monster Hunter Nation] That title isn't joking. This post is aimed at my liberal readers. I'm a libertarian leaning Republican and gun expert, who thinks you are wrong about a lot of stuff, but I'm not writing this to gloat about your loss. For the record, I disliked all the presidential candidates.
You're not alone there, Mr. Correia.
Judging by your social media over the last few days many liberals have been utterly terrified that your government might turn tyrannical or that evil people will now be emboldened to hurt you. I'm going to let you in on a little thing the other half of the country is familiar with to keep those unlikely, yet catastrophic, events from happening.

And that my lefty friends, is 2nd Amendment.

Having just gone through a war against a tyrannical government, the Founders understood that governments can go bad, so they made sure to note our God given right (or we'll say naturally occurring right, since a bunch of you are atheists)
(so are some on the right side of the aisle, Mr. Correia, and also some in the middle, but that is a quibble compared to your main point)
to keep and bear arms in order to defend ourselves. The 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting or "sporting purposes", it's about having weapons that you can fight with. As an added bonus, being able to protect yourself from a tyrannical government means that you're a lot better equipped to deal with any common criminal who decides to hurt you.

Before I get into the details about how to enjoy your newly discovered 2nd Amendment rights, let me just say that I get you're sad, angry, bitter, and fearful. But just like my people over the last few elections, you'll get over it. The really hyperbolic freak outs about Literally Hitler make you sound just like the Alex Jones crowd worried that Obama was going to herd Christians into FEMA camps last time. So take a deep breath and relax. Your friends and neighbors are the same as they were last week. The vast majority weren't voting because racism, they voted against the status quo and a really unlikable Democrat. And no, they aren't going to round you up into cattle cars.

But in the off chance they do, let's get you prepared!

Only works till the thugs start losing and then decide there are better things to pursue in life than being cannon fodder.

Plot to assassinate Egypt President Sisi uncovered: MENA
[AlAhram] Egypt's state security prosecution referred on Sunday 292 alleged members of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Lion of Islam group to a military court on charges of plotting to assassinate President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and launch terrorist attacks in the country, state news agency MENA said.

Judiciary sources told local media that the military prosecution will release detailed confessions from a number of the suspects.

According to year-long investigations carried out by the state security prosecution, the suspects plotted two liquidation attempts against President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, with the first in 2014 as he performed a pilgrimage in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, MENA said.

The alleged attempt, which also targeted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, involved members from terrorist cells in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The prosecution did not specify how the plot was foiled.

The second attempt was allegedly orchestrated by a terrorist cell consisting of seven members ‐ six former coppers and a dentist ‐ who planned to attack the president's convoy using explosive charges as it travelled in Cairo.

The suspects were also responsible for carrying out a number of high-profile attacks in North and South Sinai, including the bombing of a tourist bus in the resort town of Taba in February 2014 that killed two South Koreans and an Egyptian driver.

'Bearded coppers group'
The liquidation attempt on Sisi was part of a larger plan to overthrow the current regime that would also involve the liquidation of former interior minister Mohammed Ibrahim over the 2013 dispersal of Cairo sit-ins supporting ousted president Mohammed Morsi, according to the prosecution.

Authorities say the six former coppers involved in the plots were members of the "bearded coppers" group formed in 2012, whose members said they would grow their beards in accordance with their interpretation of Islamic doctrine. At the time, the interior ministry blocked this move, saying it violated police and military codes. The group members were then sent to the ministry's reserve forces. Authorities say these former security officials planned to use their expertise to target the president’s convoy as it moved through Cairo.

Investigators say all the members of the terrorist cells advocated the Jihadist ideology and believe that state officials and members of the army, police and the judiciary are "infidels."

In October, the prosecutor-general ordered the state security prosecution to open an investigation into terrorist groups' plans to execute wide scale terrorist operations in Greater Cairo. Earlier this month, Egyptian authorities detained five people who they say are leaders of the little-known terrorist groups Hasm and Liwaa al-Thawra.
Ynet adds:
The state prosecutor submitted indictments to a military tribunal against 292 people suspected of involvement in establishing 22 terror cells affiliated with the ISIS branch in Sinai. According to the Egyptian newspaper al-Ahram, they received instructions from senior figures in the terror group. The state prosecutor added that the liquidation plot in Mecca included the involvement of workers in the local Clock Tower Hotel.

The report states that that as part of the conspiracy to be implemented in Soddy Arabia, one of the indicted suspects suggested that his wife blow herself up with an boom belt in order to divert the attention of security officials away from liquidation al-Sissi to follow shortly thereafter.

The second plot is believed to have involved a cell of Egyptian coppers known as the "bearded officers," who were relieved earlier of their command positions.

It's not actually rape unless the female is too drunk to be in control of their choices

the implication though is certainly one of sexual predation and taking advantage of the free flowing alcohol

what is nasty about it is the implication of predation, of the women as just "colostomy bags for semen" as Gavin McInnes put it once. No intent to meet someone for a relationship, just use for sex.

Iraq
5 gunmen who wounded a Peshmerga in Halabjja killed, 1 on the run
[RUDAW.NET] Five gunnies who maimed a Peshmerga in Halabja and maimed him lightly, were killed on Sunday while one remains on the run.

Acting Halabja Governor Ali Othman told Rudaw that the identities of the gunnies, who attacked the Peshmerga on Saturday, still are no definitely known.

"Three of the gunnies were killed and another two blew themselves up. The search is on for a sixth man," Othman said.

A Peshmerga soldier who was on holiday and was spending some time off with three of his friends in the mountainous areas of the Giryana village, 20 km northeast of Halabja, was injured slightly by the gunnies on Saturday afternoon.

Mariwan Mohammad, the maimed Peshmerga, had said that he and his friends had seen five gunnies near a pond in Halabja and had called the security forces.

"Then, the gunnies saw us and fired on us and I was maimed," Amin earlier told Rudaw from his hospital bed.

The identity of gunnies remains unclear as of now. But one local official from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) said they belong to the so-called Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Halabja is a stronghold of the PUK, and the party maintains influence among the security forces.

"It has been sometime since we had received information that there are a number of ISIS forces of Evil in the area of Giryana village of Halabja," Ahmad Qadafari, the head of the PUK’s branch in Halabja told Rudaw earlier in the day, before the announcement from the Halabja governor.

The maimed Peshmerga said the attackers "were speaking in Kurdish and one of them had a long beard," indicating that they could have been Islamic murderous Moslems.

Qadafari said the attackers must be from Halabja.

He said that if not all of the gunnies come from the Halabja, "then certainly a number of them are, because the area has a difficult terrain, and if you are not familiar with it you cannot escape," he said, referring to the gunnies’s ability to flee after the shootings, before being tracked down.

In late August, Kurdish security forces rubbed out four gunnies identified as ISIS forces of Evil in the Azhdagh mountain in Sangaw in southern Sulaimani.

Kurdish Asayish besiege terrorist group in Halabja

Halabja – (IraqiNews.com) Kurdish Asayish forces announced on Sunday besieging a terrorist group in Halabja province.

Media organizations belonging to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reported, “Asayish forces are besieging a group of terrorists, southeast of Halabja province,” adding that, “Security authorities monitored the movements of this group and provided Asayish with the needed information to arrest it.”

Kurdish Asayish forces also assured the citizens that they will keep them safe and protect them against any attacks.

Asayish is the Kurdish security organization and primary intelligence agency operating in the Kurdistan region in Iraq since September 1993.

Kuwait: US arms deal include 28 F/A-18, worth $5 bln
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Kuwait’s Minister of Defense Sheikh Khalid al-Jarrah said his country’s arms deal with the United States includes only 28 F/A-18 fighter jets, worth $5 billion, local Al Rai newspaper reported him as saying on Sunday.

Jarrah, who is also Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minister, dismissed reports that the US Department has approved a possible $10.1 billion military sale of 40 F/A-18 aircrafts to his government.

Sources told Al Rai said the deal was not made "in a day as others believe," but bore its fruition after "a long process of negotiation."

Reports of Kuwait purchasing 40 fight jets from the US was a heated topic especially among hopefuls running for the upcoming parliamentary election scheduled to take place on Nov. 26.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] At least 9 Taliban Death Eaters were killed and 11 others were maimed in an Arclight airstrike in southern Uruzgan province of Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Arclight airstrike was carried out in Chora district of Uruzgan, targeting the bully boyz belonging to the Taliban bully boys.

The Talibs group has not commented regarding the report so far.

Uruzgan is among the relatively volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where the Taliban Death Eaters are actively operating in a number of its districts.

The bully boyz are often conducting insurgency activities by carrying roadside kaboomings, murders, and coordinated attacks on the government compounds.

The provincial police commandment said the top ISIS leader Mullah Bozorg was killed along with his 7 fighters in the dronezap.

The security officials further added that the Arclight airstrike was carried out late on Friday in Kot district, targeting the holy warriors in Lagharjoi area.

According to the officials, several weapons, ammunition, and explosives belonging to the loyalists of the terror group were also destroyed in the raid.

The loyalists o the terror group have not commented regarding the report so far.

Both the Afghan and US forces conducted regular strikes against the loyalists of the terror group in this province.

The increased raids, usually involving dronezaps, by the US forces followed a broader role granted by the B.O. regime earlier this year.

The broader role was granted amid concerns that the loyalists of the terror group are attempting to expand foothold in the country and turn the eastern Nangarhar province into a regional operational hub for its fighters.

The deputy house speaker in the Afghan parliament, Haji Zahir Qadir, earlier warned that the loyalists of the terror group will become successful in establishing the Khurasan Caliphate if they managed to take control of Tora Bora mountainous terrain located close to Pacher Agam district.

Director Of The NSA Goes ROGUE, Travels To Meet Trump Amid Calls For His Ousting
[Daily Caller] A top U.S. intelligence official is being considered to take over for the very man who recommended his removal from office for administrative failures.

Admiral Michael S. Rogers, director of the National Security Agency and head of U.S. Cyber Command, is expected to become the Director of National Intelligence under the next administration, the Wall Street Journal revealed. In an unprecedented move, Rogers met with President-elect Donald Trump Thursday at Trump Tower without first notifying his superiors, reports the Washington Post. Rogers’ actions reportedly agitated senior administration officials already displeased with his performance and leadership.

Current Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter recommended last month that the White House relieve Rogers of his duties as head of the NSA and Cyber Command, the Washington Post reported Saturday. Clapper and Carter have criticized Rogers’ performance in the past, citing serious security breaches as well as a failure to react to the online activities of the Islamic State (ISIS).

Rogers took control of the NSA and Cyber Command in 2014 in the wake of the Edward Snowden leaks, a glaring embarrassment to the agency that cost hundreds of millions of dollars and required major operational adjustments. Rogers was tasked with preventing follow-up incidents but was unsuccessful.

Palestinian leadership may choose Abbas’s successor, and tear itself apart
[IsraelTimes] An imminent Fatah congress in Ramallah will shape the future of the Paleostinian movement, laying bare its rivalries.
Lots of inside baseball for those interested. But I think the closing paragraphs are of more general interest:
As noted, a dark cloud looms over the upcoming congress and the elections -- the threat of a possible split the next day if Dahlan and his supporters should decide to form a competing movement. But Abbas and the PA have an even bigger problem than Dahlan or his emissaries in the West Bank, who have been trying to heat things up against the PA in many refugee camps.

A severe, unprecedented crisis has broken out between the Paleostinian Authority and the moderate Arab world. Abbas is close to cutting off relations with the Sunni Arab states, Egypt and Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
first among them. Cairo stands behind Dahlan and encourages his various activities. Saudi Arabia has suspended its financial aid to the PA. The United Arab Emirates is giving Dahlan official protection, and Jordan could not care less about what happens in Ramallah.

Together only with part of Fatah, Abbas, 82, stands alone, in near-isolation, against Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,, the State of Israel, the Arab countries, and his own enemy from within -- Mohammad Dahlan.

And yet there is no shortage of would-be successors.

Posted by: Shipman || 11/21/2016 7:14 Comments || Top||

#2  Dahlan has a long complicated history

He did serve time in Israeli prisons in the 80s when he was in his 20s (he was born in 1961)

He more or less ran Gaza as his own fiefdom for some years before the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza. Within Fatah, which is known for stealthy corruption, Dahlan was considered one of the most 'honest' thieves in that he admitted what he stole (which was considerable) and what he took in bribes.

His troops were quickly crushed by Hamas during the Fatah-Hamas conflict of 2007 and he eventually wound up in exile in the Gulf States. He and Abbas are former friends who became bitter enemies and, I think, are still enemies today.

-War on Police-
San Antonio Police Officer Executed Outside of Police Station
Authorities in Texas remain on high alert after a black man driving black car is suspected of murdering a San Antonio police officer in a targeted attack.

"It's always difficult, especially in this day and age when police officers are being targeted across the country," said San Antonio Police Chief William McMAnus during a interview streamed by the police department.

The murder took place on Sunday afternoon when one of the officers, described only as a 20-year-police veteran pulled over a vehicle just outside of the police station and was writing a traffic citation.

"A person pulled up behind the patrol car in a black vehicle, got out walked up to the passenger vehicle and fired one round into the vehicle shooting the officer in the head," McManus said during the interview. "He reached in and fired a second round shooting the officer a second time."

The officer died approximately 30 minutes later.

Authorities had not been able to determine a motive, but have been able to describe the suspect as a clean shaven black man between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet in height who was wearing a gray shirt and black pants.

"This is everyone's worse nightmare," McManus said. "It has happened here in the past ... it's been a few years ... but now like Dallas, Like Baton Rouge, it has happened here."

Texas House Speaker Joe Straus (R-San Antonio) tweeted a message of support to the police department and the officer's family. "Our community grieves today for the tragic loss of one of our brave San Antonio Police officers," Speaker Straus wrote.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott also tweeted a message of support. "Our condolences are with family of this slain San Antonio police officer," Governor Abbott tweeted. "Texas won't tolerate police targeting.

"Cecilia and I extend our deepest condolences to the victim's family and harshly condemn this horrific act of violence. We ask that all Texans join us in praying for the officer's loved ones as they deal with the aftermath of this unimaginable tragedy. Attacks against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated in Texas and must be met with swift justice, which is why I look forward to signing my Police Protection Act into law making targeted attacks against law enforcement a hate crime."

The San Antonio police officer is the 127th law enforcement officer to die this year in the line of duty, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. He is the 58th officer to be killed in hostile gunfire this year.
In Central America, etc., the communist revolutionaries went after the last line of defense which was the municipal police. Now the President of the United States, his cop hater friends such as Bill Ayers, the BLM supported by Valerie Jarrett, and Islamic terrorism will go on long after Trump becomes President if nothing is done regarding these criminals in power and in post power positions.

Iraq
Iraqi troops push into new Mosul neighborhoods under cover of air strikes
[RUDAW.NET] Clashes between advancing Iraqi forces and ISIS gunnies in djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
’s Intisar and Aden neighborhoods continued on Sunday as the troops carried out a house-to-house search for remaining gunnies and explosives in liberated quarters.

Iraqi Counterterrorism Forces (ICTF) had reached the edges of al-Qahira and al-Zuhur neighborhoods, northeastern Mosul by Sunday morning, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Wahab al-Saadi, a commander of the forces told Rudaw.

The quarters of al-Tahrir, al-Moualimeen, and Oulama were liberated Saturday after days of intense festivities.

Al-Saadi downplayed ISIS strength and described the confrontations as "light festivities".

He added that "coalition aircraft also carried out Arclight airstrikes and killed 15 ISIS turbans,"

Many civilians in liberated neighborhoods have remained in their homes instead of heading to some refugees camps built for them by aid agencies ahead of the Mosul operation.

Rudaw news hounds in Mosul have noticed long queues of men, women and kiddies lining up before Iraqi soldiers and UN agencies to receive food.

Iraqi defense ministry releases video of ISIS-held western Mosul

[RUDAW.NET] The Iraqi defence ministry released a video Sunday that it claims was taken in the ISIS-occupied part of western djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
, to show that its intelligence agents have infiltrated neighborhoods still held by the bully boys.

"The heroes of the directorate of military intelligence were able to infiltrate the ISIS (ISIS) Lions of Islam inside their defense lines and inside the heart of Mosul and the city center," said the Iraqi General Directorate of Intelligence in a statement posted on the Iraqi defence ministry.

The video shows some roads inside Mosul, with a voice saying the film is being shot by Iraqi intelligence agents.

At one stage the male voice says they have arrived at the fifth bridge on the Tigris River, or Jisir al-Khamis. It then shows footage of a mosque, believed to be the Great Mosque of Mosul, or the Nuree Mosque as it is also called, where ISIS leader Abu Bakir al-Baghdadi announced the foundation of his so-called Islamic caliphate in Iraq and Syria in July 2014.

The voice on the video says that Iraqi intelligence agents carry out surveillance, track down ISIS Lions of Islam and kill them.

It also threatens that those who have adhered to ISIS or have cooperated with it the group "will not survive," unless they start to cooperate with the Iraqi security forces.

Iraqi forces have liberated parts of Mosul’s east bank, where fighting continues as the military tries to push into more neighborhoods.

by Iraqi Counterterrorism Forces (ICTF) on Sunday, as troops conduced house-to-house searches in areas of the city they have liberated.

"The counterterrorism forces killed a wali (governor) of ISIS, the criminal Marwan Hamid Salih al-Hayali, and a number of murderous Moslems in the Aden neighborhood on the left bank" of Mosul, the Iraqi War Media reported.

Earlier in the day, Rudaw correspondents in Mosul reported festivities between advancing Iraqi forces and ISIS snuffies in the city’s Intisar and Aden neighborhoods, as the Iraqi troops carried out house-to-house search for remaining snuffies and explosives in liberated quarters.

The ICTF had reached the edges of the al-Qahira and al-Zuhur neighborhoods in northeastern Mosul by Sunday morning, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Wahab al-Saadi, a commander of the forces, told Rudaw.

He added that "coalition aircraft carried out Arclight airstrikes and killed 15 ISIS bully boys."

Iraqi forces have liberated several eastern districts of the city which lies on the left bank of the Tigris River that dissects Mosul but are facing stiff resistance as they try to push deeper inside.

Iraqi military reports progress on five fronts

[RUDAW.NET] The Iraqi military announced Sunday that forces involved in the djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
battle against ISIS were advancing on multiple fronts, clearing ISIS bombs and booby traps from roads and homes.

The offensive, called ’We Are Coming Nineveh," said that forces were operating on five fronts around Mosul.

In southwestern Mosul, where the Iraqi Federal Police is in charge, bomb disposal teams "have cleared the area of planted bombs and booby traps," the military said in a statement.

In southeastern Mosul, the army’s 9th Armored Division has "cleared the neighborhoods of Intisar, Jadida, Mufti, salam, Younis Sabaawi and Paleostine of bombs," it added.

On the third front in the eastern part of the city, the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Forces were cleaning the districts of Bakir, Zahabiya, Khazza Qadisiya1, Tahrir and Wala of bombs planted by the Lion of Islams.

"At the same, several other buildings and the Khaza complex apartments, together with its water project, have been cleaned," the statement read.

In the northern part of Mosul, the army’s’ 16th division defused bombs and booby traps left behind by retreating krazed killers.

On the final fifth front, where the forces of the Shiite Hashd al-Shaabi are in charge, "the Tal Afar airport is cleared" of ISIS krazed killers, the statement said.

neighborhoods retaken from ISIS as their advance toward the city center was slowed by sniper fire and suicide kabooms, as well as concern over the safety of civilians.

"The biggest hindrance to us is the civilians, whose presence is slowing us down," Maj. Gen. Sami al-Aridi of the special forces told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named. "We are soldiers who are not trained to carry out humanitarian tasks."

A few hundred civilians emerged from rubble-strewn front-line neighborhoods on Sunday. They included women and kiddies, some of them carrying bags, small suitcases or waving white flags. Mosul is still home to more than 1 million people.

The government sent half-dozen trucks loaded with food aid into the recently liberated areas. Chaos broke out in one neighborhood, where residents climbed on top of the trucks and began helping themselves. Women extended their hands in desperation, trying to get a share of the aid. Young boys chased the trucks and jostled and pleaded for food packages.

"It’s hunger that makes people behave like this," said Mohammed Farouq, a 27-year-old resident. "Some families took many boxes, while others did not take any. This is unfair."

Fethi Mahmud Abdulla, another resident, pleaded for people to keep the lines. "People are tired, so tired. Some of them take aid five or seven times," he said.

Counterterrorism units
Counterterrorism units entered into the left coast of Mosul in Iraq amid fierce festivities against members of ISIS.

The unit’s forces fighting in the eastern axis of the city managed to liberate the neighborhoods of al-Moharebeen, al-Moalmeen and al-Oalmaa.

According to a statement issued by the commanders of the "We are coming Nineveh" operation, forces fighting ISIS continue liberating the neighborhoods of al-Bakr, al-Zahabiya, al-Khadra, al-Qadisiya al-Oula, al-Tahrir and al-Walaa.

Meanwhile,
...back at the desert island, Irene was indignant at the thought of doing such a thing without benefit of clergy...
the army’s ninth division continues to progress south east of Mosul in the neighborhoods of the left coast and continues to liberate the neighborhoods which it stormed in the past few days.

#3  The trouble with funding cuts is that the affected cities would just raise taxes to make up the shortfall.

IANAL, but it seems to me that "sanctuary city" mayors and city councils could be indicted/prosecuted for conspiracy to violate Federal immigration law. That could end this nonsense in a hurry.

#6  They can only raise so much in taxes. Cut off all federal funding to a city, and they are fucked.

I would also be in favor of arresting the heads of the city for breaking federal laws and also charge them as accessories to the crimes illegals so.

#7  Considering funding cuts to sanctuary cities?

If taxes are raised to cover the Federal shortfall because, maybe people will think twice about who they elect for office. They might realize that elections have consequences. Trump might also consider bringing lawsuits against individuals who promote and maintain such nonsense--make them pay personally. Do these cities provide sanctuary for conservative-minded people or Trump voters? Did they provide sanctuary for Kate Steinle and others? I didn't think so.

#8  #5 Actually, this is reckless endangerment, in-voluntary manslaughter, and depraved in-difference.

Criminal negligence. Examples of criminally negligent crimes are criminally negligent homicide and negligent endangerment of a child. Usually the punishment for criminal negligence, criminal recklessness, criminal endangerment, willful blindness and other related crimes is imprisonment.

The shoe fits.

Europe
Spanish police arrest Moroccan ISIS 'recruiters'
Spanish police arrested two Moroccans suspected of forming part of the Islamic State (ISIS) group's propaganda and recruitment network. The two were detained in Madrid and Roda de Ter in the northeastern region of Catalonia, and the interior ministry said they had joined the group voluntarily "and acted as individual terrorist cells, decentralised and pre-activated for the commission of terrorist acts in Spain."

They were "focused on recruiting young Muslims with the ultimate aim of forming an 'army of followers' invisible to police control," it added. A police spokesman, however, was not able to say whether they had actually recruited anyone.

They also "did work of propaganda and extolling of Daesh's military victories and gains, all of which was presented in an attractive visual format to gain the largest possible amount of followers," the ministry said, using an Arabic acronym for IS.

According to police, they were quickly radicalised, to the point that "they offered themselves up to Daesh as 'martyrs', completely available to act at any time, place and in any situation."

Police in Spain have long focused on prevention -- including nipping propaganda in the bud -- in its strategy to fight jihadism, with the adoption in 2015 of a law allowing authorities to detain people who merely consult jihadist websites. According to the ministry, 163 alleged jihadists have been detained since 2015, when Spain increased its terror alert to four out of five.

But unlike France or Belgium, the country is less exposed to the return of nationals who went to fight abroad and plan to commit extremist acts on home soil. Only around 200 Spaniards are estimated to have gone abroad to fight, compared to thousands from nearby France and Belgium.

Turkey protesters rally against crackdown on Kurdish activists
[ALMASDARNEWS] Thousands of opposition protesters demonstrated in Istanbul on Sunday against a crackdown on MPs from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....

At least 5,000 people -- mainly supporters of the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and the secular Republican People’s Party (CHP) -- gathered on the Asian side of Istanbul.

"Shoulder to shoulder against fascism
...a political system developed in Italy symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of people who have no idea what they're talking about...
," the protesters shouted.

Ten MPs from the HDP, including co-leaders Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yukseksag, were enjugged
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
this month on charges of links to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

Several mayors in the predominantly southeast of Turkey were also detained following similar accusations of links to the PKK.

Turkey declared a state of emergency after a failed coup bid in July, with tens of thousands arrested in a massive crackdown which critics call a breach of human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
EU and US officials have expressed concern
...meaning the brow was mildly wrinkled, the eyebrows drawn slightly together, and a thoughtful expression assumed, not that anything was actually done or indeed that any thought was actually expended...
over the arrest of opposition politicians as fears grow over Turkey’s use of emergency laws.

The arrests come as Turkey wages a relentless battle to wipe out PKK rebels who have stepped up attacks since the collapse in 2015 of a fragile truce against Turkish security forces.

The government accuses the HDP of links to the PKK but the party denies any organic bond with the banned group.

College Stops Flying US Flag Entirely After Flag-Burning Incident
Hampshire College in Massachusetts has announced that it will no longer fly the U.S. flag at all in response to an incident where the flag was taken down and burned. The president of the college says that by getting rid of the flag the school will be able to focus on other issues like halting Islamophobia and promoting gay rights.
Not on teaching anybody anything worthwhile.
The mess for Hampshire College started a week and a half ago, after Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election. The school responded to Trump’s victory by keeping the U.S. flag at half-staff, as if in mourning, which upset some community members. Then, on the night before Veterans Day, somebody took the flag down and set it on fire. While the motive isn’t known, there have been many examples of students burning U.S. flags to protest Trump’s electoral victory.

#10  Things they are a changing since the Battle of New Market:

The VMI Corps of Cadets fought as a unit at the Battle of New Market, Virginia, on May 15, 1864. The cadets, numbering 257, were organized into a battalion of four companies of Infantry and one section of Artillery. Ten cadets were killed in battle or died later from the effects of their wounds; 45 were wounded. The youngest participating cadet was fifteen; the oldest twenty-five.

Summary:

On May 10, 1864, the VMI Corps of Cadets was ordered to join Gen. John C. Breckinridge's Confederate forces near Staunton, Virginia. After marching nearly 85 miles northward, the Corps arrived at New Market on Sunday morning May 15, 1864. Gen. Franz Sigel's Union troops, positioned atop Bushong's Hill, raked the Confederate line with cannon and musketry creating a gap in the line. Remarkably, the cadets helped close the gap, allowing the Confederate forces to regroup and push back the Union army. Breckenridge forced Sigel and his men to retreat, securing the battlefield for the Confederacy. Many cadets lost their footwear in the freshly plowed soil, turned to thick mud after several days of rain. That section of the battlefield became known as the “Field of Lost Shoes.”

Gold Star family of soldier killed by suicide bomber BOOED by American Airlines first class
Delayed flight on way to pick up their dead son's body

Army Sgt. John Perry, 30, was killed in Afghanistan on Saturday when he stopped a suicide bomber from reaching his target

His father, Stewart Perry, says he and his family traveled on American Airlines from Sacramento to Dover Air Force Base to meet his remains

When they landed at a layover in Phoenix, the captain asked passengers to remain seated to let the family get off so they could make connecting flight. Perry said first class passengers booed and complained as they exited the plane, despite the captain saying why they were allowed to leave first.

Perry said: 'To hear the reaction of the flight being delayed because of a Gold Star family, and the first class cabin booing that was really upsetting'

The decorated solider leaves behind his wife of eight years, Julianne, and two young children - five-year-old Lena and four-year-old Gavin. His wife says he will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors and they started a GoFundMe to raise money
Wish I could have been there...
