‘The DNC staffer was alive and well after surgery, before a group of LEOs showed up to the ICU'

D.C. surgeon who operated on Seth Rich: ’The DNC staffer was alive and well after surgery, before a group of LEOs showed up to the ICU’
DNC staffer's plug pulled in ICU?

A 4-year resident surgeon at Washington Hospital Center claims that Seth Rich was alive and recovering well in facility’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being treated for a total of 3 routine gunshot wounds -- that is until a number of law enforcement officers arrived eight hours later kicking most everyone out of the ICU and physically barring doctors and others from attending to Rich.

The surgeon who witnessed this bizarre behavior decided to come forth with the information despite the fact that he or she may be easy to identify.

Posted on May 17, to 4chan under the anonymous ID: "rhotYJAg," the surgeon wrote:

4th year surgery resident here who rotated at WHC (Washington Hospital Center) last year, it won’t be hard to identify me but I feel that I shouldn’t stay silent.

Seth Rich was shot twice, with 3 total gunshot wounds (entry and exit, and entry). He was taken to the OR emergently where we performed an exlap and found a small injury to segment 3 of the liver which was packed and several small bowel injuries (pretty common for gunshots to the back exiting the abdomen) which we resected ~12cm of bowel and left him in discontinuity (didn’t hook everything back up) with the intent of performing a washout in the morning. He did not have any major vascular injuries otherwise. I’ve seen dozens of worse cases than this which survived and nothing about his injuries suggested to me that he’d sustained a fatal wound.

In the meantime he was transferred to the ICU and transfused 2 units of blood when his post-surgery crit came back ~20. He was stable and not on any pressors, and it seemed pretty routine. About 8 hours after he arrived we were swarmed by LEOs and pretty much everyone except the attending and a few nurses was kicked out of the ICU (disallowing visiting hours -normally every odd hour, eg 1am, 3am, etc- is not something we do routinely). It was weird as hell. At turnover that morning we were instructed not to round on the VIP that came in last night (that’s exactly what the attending said, and no one except for me and another resident had any idea who he was talking about).

No one here was allowed to see Seth except for my attending when he died. No code was called. I rounded on patients literally next door but was physically blocked from checking in on him. I’ve never seen anything like it before, and while I can’t say 100% that he was allowed to die, I don’t understand why he was treated like that. Take it how you may, /pol/, I’m just one low level doc. Something’s fishy though, that’s for sure.

#9  There is a great deal that is "strange" about this story. I'd like to know the who, what, where, when, why, how of the story pinned down. This would mean further investigation which is fine with me. Was Seth Rich the source of the DNC WikiLeaks? The DNC didn't show much interest in wanting an investigation into Rich's death. Why didn't the FBI obtain the DNC servers as a part of the "Russia hacking" investigation (probably because the Russia hacking was a fake story)? What happened to Seth Rich's laptop? Seth Rich's death certificate said he died about 2 hours after he was shot. This 4th year resident claims Rich was O.K. after surgery until 8 hours later when LEOs showed up? It seems like there were many leads that were not pinned down. Just inconsistencies such as this make me question things.

#13  If the Seth Rich/Wiki story is true, and he was murdered for it and had in his possession something like a thumbdrive that he was planning to take to the FBI, then it is the bombshell of the 21st century. If it is true, the people behind it will pull out all the stops to prevent it from coming to light. One of those will be to muddy the new media/social media will inaccurate and inflammatory stories, with enough truth to be suspicious, but each inevitably shown to be false, thus doing to the story what they did to the Whitewater and Ft Marc Park stories....cloudy with no clear view of events since it becomes a miasma of conflicting and untrustworthy sources mcovinering the truth....

Europe
Merkel: The US is no longer a reliable ally and Europe's destiny is 'in our own hands'
"The times in which [Germany] could fully rely on others are partly over. I have experienced this in the last few days," Merkel said during the event. "We Europeans really have to take our destiny into our own hands," she said.
Hahahaha! Nice hiss fit, Merkel. But I think it's falling on deaf ears because Trump had done this before. And just why do you consider our relationship to be broken? Because everyone is laughing in your face and behind your back about your failed immigration and globalization policies?
Though she did not mention them by name, Merkel was most likely referring to the fractured relationship Germany now shares with the US, as well as with the UK post-Brexit.

Merkel's comments came on the heels of what she called a "difficult" and "unsatisfactory" G7 summit. The summit included leaders of the US, UK, Germany, Japan, France, Canada, and Italy, and Merkel characterized the discussions as "six against one."

Trump backed a pledge to fight protectionism at the end of the G7 summit on Saturday, but refused to endorse the climate pact, saying he needed more time to decide.

However, Axios reported that Trump had already made his decision. Trump reportedly told multiple people, including Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt, that he would be pulling out of the deal, according to three sources with knowledge of the conversations.

Despite his pledge to fight protectionism, Trump has favored a more protectionist stance on trade, while other G7 members favor free trade. In April, Trump was said to be considering an executive order which would pull the US out of NAFTA. After a phone call with Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican president Peña Nieto, Trump changed his mind and said that he would be open to renegotiating the terms of NAFTA.

Trump also ran on a platform of cracking down on immigration into the US, both through legal and illegal channels, and including refugee admission. Shortly after taking office, he signed an executive order imposing a travel ban on people coming from 7 Muslim-majority countries.

After that ban was repeatedly struck down by the courts, Trump signed a second executive order targeting travelers from 6 Muslim-majority countries and relaxing some stipulations of the first travel ban. The second executive order was struck down by a number of courts as well and is currently being weighed by the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals.

Merkel, in a decision that was slammed by nationalists like Trump and France's Marine Le Pen, allowed hundreds of thousands of refugees to enter Germany. Trudeau has also signaled that he will open Canada's borders to those fleeing war and terrorism in their own countries.

Trump also criticized key NATO allies at a summit on Thursday and said they were not spending enough on defense. He also warned of more attacks similar to the Manchester bombing unless the alliance did more to stop militants.

Merkel's differences with Trump stand in stark contrast to the close relationship she shared with former president Barack Obama. Merkel has repeatedly characterized Obama as a friend and a strong German ally, and Obama called Merkel "one of my favorite partners throughout my presidency" during a visit to Germany's Brandenburg Gate on Thursday. Obama and Merkel met on the same day Merkel was set to meet with Trump during the NATO summit in Brussels.

During her campaign event on Sunday, Merkel emphasized a close Franco-German alliance. She wished Macron success in his presidency and said, "Where Germany can help, Germany will help, because Germany can only do well if Europe is doing well."

Her comments mark a potentially radical shift in US-German relations, as well as the US' relationship with Western Europe as a whole.

But EU Council President Donald Tusk said on Sunday he was more optimistic now than after the US election last November after EU leaders held talks with Trump in Brussels.

"What I am absolutely sure after this meeting is that despite some extraordinary ... expressions, behaviors, etc, etc, our partners in the G7 are much more responsible than the first impression after the election in the United States," Tusk said in the Slovak capital.

#3  But while six of the seven renewed their commitment to the 2015 Paris accord on climate change, Trump said he needed more time to decide.

During his election campaign, Trump frequently questioned the value of the EU, welcomed Britain’s vote to leave the bloc and spoke positively of anti-EU politicians such as the French far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

Merkel said the result of the talks, which she described as “six against one”, was “very difficult, if not to say very unsatisfactory”. Trump was more positive on Twitter, saying: “Just returned from Europe. Trip was a great success for America. Hard work but big results!”

Outrage after General de Gaulle's tomb damaged by vandals
[BBC]. Two suspects are being sought after vandals damaged the tomb of former French leader General Charles de Gaulle, sparking outrage.

The authorities said a man stepped onto the grave and toppled a one-and-a-half metre cross at its head, which broke.

The incident happened on Saturday, when the French Resistance against Nazi Germany was being commemorated.

Thousands of people visit the site each year to pay their respects to a towering figure in 20th Century France.

General de Gaulle led the French Resistance during World War Two, founded the Fifth Republic in the 1950s and led the country for a decade until 1969.

He died in 1970 and is buried in the village of Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises in the northern département of Haute-Marne.

#1  Actually he was not the main leader of the resistance, Leclerc was more outspoken early on, what DeGaulle was was a superb opportunist and pushy pain in the ass who whined and cajoled his way into prominence and with Eisenhower's determination to hold the alliance together, acted like they had liberated Paris and most of France. That was his springboard, and the thanks the allies got, he pulled France out of NATO.....

The Islamization of Kashmir's separatist movement
[DW] Reports about a separatist leader joining al Qaeda have raised fears the Kashmiri movement is being "hijacked" by Islamists. Expert Agnieszka Kuszewska tells DW that Indian policies are partly to blame for this trend.

DW: Recently, Zakir Musa, an influential Kashmiri leader, distanced himself from the separatist movement and aligned himself with al Qaeda. Some experts fear that the decades-old anti-India movement is increasingly moving toward Islamization. Do you agree with this analysis?

Agnieszka Kuszewska: Zakir Musa is no longer associated with the Hizb-ul-Mujahedin separatist group. The organization admitted that Musa's statement about "chopping off the heads of Hurriyat leaders" is unacceptable and reflects his personal views.

German federal govt spent €20 billion on refugees in 2016: report
24 May
[TheLocal.de] The combined amount spent on the refugee crisis by the federal government totalled over €20 billion in 2016. Over half of the money was spent abroad aiming to stop the flow of migrants making the journey to Europe. The total spend was about 0.6 percent of its GDP, according to a government report seen by the Rheinische Post

"The number of new arrivals coming from Turkey to Greece has drastically sunk in the last year,” said Peter Altmaier, Angela Merkel's chief of staff and coordinator of Germany's response to the migrant crisis, in an interview with the Rheinische Post.

“It also seems as though the rate of the influx of migrants on the Libya-to-Italy route is falling rather than going up,” he continued. “It looks like our commitment to improving the situation in Libya, Mali, and Niger is paying off.”

In 2016, German troops were based in Mali and Turkey, among other places, to fight Islamic extremism, and to break apart the networks of human traffickers.

'It's about survival': Why young male refugees are turning to prostitution
22 May
[TheLocal.de] They fled to Germany with the hope of finding a better life. Now some young, male refugees say that drugs and prostitution are their only means of getting by.

Farid, 21, left Afghanistan when he was ten years old. From there he went by foot to Iran. Two years ago, he left to come to Germany. His asylum application is still being processed. He does not know whether his family is still alive. He now earns money in Tiergarten near the Victory Column through prostitution. This, he says, is his only way to make a living.

According to Moabit hilft, part of what drives refugees to prostitution is that during the asylum application process, they have no access to language or integration classes.

“Underage refugees travelling alone are looked after. But as soon as they are adults, they are not cared for,” says Henniges.
They get a room in a refugee hostel, and a stipend for food so long as they are in the asylum process, and even afterward. And they are supposed to get language classes, though the disciplined and intense German approach to teaching and learning will come as a bit of a shock to those who can't read and write.
Many send a portion of the money they earn back home to their families, while others like Farid develop drug problems, or become addicted to gambling.
So it isn't about survival, but about earning money. A very different cincern altogether.
In total in Frankfurt, Fink estimates there to be around 600 to 800 male prostitutes, without counting those hired online, or “callboys”. These include teenagers to 40-year-old men.

Twenty-five years ago, three-quarters of male prostitutes were German nationals. By now, immigrants make up about 90 percent of this population, many of whom come from eastern Europe.
Doing the jobs Germans were willing to do until significantly underpriced by deliberately imported competition.

Dutch MPs Oppose Headscarf Proposal for Amsterdam Police
19 May
[AnNahar] Dutch lawmakers have voiced opposition to a proposal by Amsterdam's top police official to consider allowing female Muslim agents to wear headscarves, Dutch media reported Friday. At least six major political parties are against plans from Commissioner Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg to introduce Islamic headscarves to women's uniforms as part of a recruitment drive to diversify law enforcement in the Dutch capital.

Aalbersberg on Thursday said he wanted to boost multiculturalism among Amsterdam's police, saying he wanted at least half of all new recruits in the tourist hotspot to come from a non-Dutch background. His proposal also included allowing police officers to wear religious symbols such as crosses, Jewish yarmulkes or Islamic headscarves.

Aalbersberg said 52 percent of Amsterdam's residents were from a non-Dutch background, but that was not reflected in the composition of the city's police force, in which only 18 percent of officers have more diverse roots.

The propaganda is mostly spread through Russian social media site Odnoklassniki, where the anonymous intermediary has added Akilov as a friend, meaning he could receive the propaganda which is mostly aimed at migrant workers from Central Asia.

Among the profiles in the network are several people saying they come from or live in Sweden.

Abu Saloh is the leader of an Uzbek Islamist group which is fighting in Syria and has links to Al Qaeda.
Saloh is the leader of an Uzbek Islamist group which is fighting in Syria and has links to Al Qaeda. He is suspected of planning terror attacks in the past, and is wanted by Interpol for terror crimes and financing terror. The digital trail also leads to an Uzbek myrmidon training site, according to Sveriges Radio, where there are instruction videos on how to use different weapons.

It is not clear whether Akilov himself communicated with the turbans in the network however.

Akilov, 39, has confessed to driving the truck in the April attack in Stockholm in which five people were killed. He admitted to committing a "terrorist crime" during a remand hearing at Stockholm District Court last month.

Getting Serious About Terrorism
h/t Instapundit
This has been a bad week for, well, anyone who wants to go about their daily business -- say by watching an Ariana Grande concert -- without getting shot or stabbed or run over or blown up. You all know what I'm talking about, I'm not going to go over the list again -- and besides, by the time this is published, the list might well be out of date.

Now, what I would hope is that the combination of President Trump's meeting with 50-odd Sunni nations in Saudi Arabia, and their possibly-even-real commitment to act against Radical Islamist Terrorism (RIT for short), and the Manchester bombing's attack against grade school girls, would finally serve to focus some minds throughout the West that have so far been pretty fuzzy.
The problem, IMO, is that to deal with Islamic terrorism seriously, western societies will have to change their cherished world views.
(a) Islam is not a religion as the concept understood in the West. It is an ideology (like Nazism or Communism) seeking world dominance. And appealing to people's worst instincts: "take the property of unbelievers" etc...
(b) There may be (I'm pretty sure but nobody investigated it yet) real differences in genes determining emotional phenotype between Muslims and that we consider normal. In practical terms, there are bound to be a lot of similarities between a psychological profile of an average Muslim and an average sociopath.
(c) Western ruling/intellectual classes created a world view/ economic system package (richly rewarding: both psychologically and economically for themselves) in which, "Muslim victimhood" is an integral part. Moreover, in their eyes, giving up a part of the package is tantamount to giving up all of it. And, most of them realize, but will never admit, it's only the package what enables them to hold positions orders of magnitude above their actual abilities. Thus, the "elites" will defend their world view to the death - ours preferably.

Study: Physically Weak Men More Likely To Be Socialists
h/t Instapundit
An academic study from researchers at Brunel University London assessed 171 men, looking at their height, weight, overall physical strength and bicep circumference, along with their views on redistribution of wealth and income inequality. The study, published in the Evolution and Human Behavior journal, found that weaker men were more likely to favor socialist policies than stronger men.

The Grand Turk
Galatasaray becomes first team to remove word ‘Arena’ from its stadium name after Erdogan’s instruction
[Hurriyet Daily News] Galatasaray has become the first team to remove the word “arena” from the name of its stadium after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s latest instruction to the sports minister to order the removal of the word from the names of all stadiums across the country.

The decision to rename Türk Telekom Arena was taken at the club’s board meeting on May 27.

Alper Narman, a board member responsible for the stadium, told daily Hürriyet that the stadium will be renamed Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Türk Telekom Stadium as of May 29.
A name that trips off the tongue in moments of excitement...
Erdoğan said on May 26 that he had instructed the sports minister to order the removal of the word “arena” from the names of all sports stadiums across Turkey.
“I am against ‘arenas.’ You know what they do in arenas, don’t you? People were dismembered there (by animals) I have given the instruction to the minister and we will remove the name ‘arena’ from stadiums.
You know what they do in stadiums? If they are the Taliban, among others, they conduct their beheadings and stonings in stadiums. Congratulations on moving from ancient Roman atrocities to modern Moslem ones, Erdogan Bey.
There is no such thing in our language. Look at the definition, there cannot be such a thing,” he said.

The president had previously signaled his unhappiness with the term “arena,” heralding the latest order.

Meanwhile, Türk Telekom CEO Paul Doany stated that the company supported the president's call and reached consensus with Galatasaray to rename the stadium.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Norway demands PA return funds for women’s center named after terrorist
It turns out even the Norwegians can be embarrassed, at least temporarily.
[IsraelTimes] Oslo also calls for removal of country’s logo from facility honoring Dalal Mughrabi, says it won’t back future projects under current conditions.

Norway’s foreign minister on Friday condemned the Paleostinian Authority for naming a women’s center in the West Bank, funded in part by the Scandinavian country, after a female terrorist.

"The glorification of terrorist attacks is completely unacceptable, and I deplore this decision in the strongest possible terms. Norway will not allow itself to be associated with institutions that take the names of turbans in this way. We will not accept the use of Norwegian aid funding for such purposes," Norwegian Foreign Minister Borge Brende said in a statement.

Brende’s comments were made in reference to a new women’s center opened earlier this month in the West Bank town of Burqa. The center was named after Dalal Mughrabi, who took part in the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre. Mughrabi and several other Fatah turbans landed on a beach near Tel Aviv, hijacked a bus on Israel’s Coastal Road and killed 38 civilians, 13 of them children, and maimed over 70.

Brende said that Norway had been unaware of the decision to name the center after Mughrabi. He demanded that the country’s name be removed from the center and that the funds it gave for construction be returned.

"We have asked for the logo of the Norwegian representation office to be removed from the building immediately, and for the funding that has been allocated to the center to be repaid," he said.

He also said that Norway would no longer participate in similar projects until the country receives assurances "that nothing of this nature happens again."

"We will not enter into any new agreements with either the Paleostinian Election Commission or UN Women in Paleostinian areas until satisfactory procedures are in place to ensure that nothing of this nature happens again," he said.

Israel commended Oslo’s action, with Foreign Ministry front man Emmanuel Nahshon saying "Norway took the right step -- a tough line against memorializing turbans is an integral part of the international effort to eliminate terror. We recommend that the international community take thorough steps to check where the money it invests in the PA is going."

Norway’s rebuke of the PA came after the Norwegian branch of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem brought the matter to the country’s attention on Friday, the organization said in a statement, while thanking Brende for his "swift and clear" response.

"The Paleostinian Authority undermines the quest for peace in this region, and violates all standards of human decency, when it decides to glorify and perpetuate the despicable legacies of turbans like Dalal Mughrabi," ICEJ President Jurgen Buhler said. "The Norwegian government acted properly when it condemned this immoral action by the Paleostinian Authority."

Paleostinian Media Watch, which first brought attention to the naming of the women’s center, quoted a local village leader saying that "the center will focus especially on the history of the struggle of Martyr Dalal Mughrabi and on presenting it to the youth groups, and...constitutes the beginning of the launch of enrichment activities regarding the history of the Paleostinian struggle.

Britain
How 'closed communities' provide a breeding ground for radical Islam
Key bits from the interview.
[DW] Dr. Elham Manea spent four years studying sharia councils in Britannia. Talking to DW in the aftermath of the Manchester attack, she reveals how parallel societies give rise to radicalization and how to prevent it.

How large are these communities?
It depends. Quite often you see them like clusters in certain cities. The problem has more to do with the fact that in places like Birmingham or Bradford, you see certain areas where more than 40 percent of the population are of the Islamic faith.

There is nothing wrong with having groups from different backgrounds or a certain faith. The problem is the clustering of certain ethnic groups with certain religious backgrounds in certain areas can lead to social problems - specifically with the spread of certain fundamentalist interpretations of Islam within these communities.

The nonviolent forms of Islamization are even more important. Because those who are willing to blow themselves up are at the last stage of a radicalization process.
How important is it for the more radicalized ones to stay separate from main society because they don't want to have anything to do with the "infidels"?
There are systematic structures that make sure that the youth are separated from their outside environment ideologically. In Koran schools that follow the Deobandi strand of Islam and in their mosques, they tell children not to emulate the unbelievers, not to behave like them, not to love them, not to associate with them. So we can pour as much money as we want into combating violent extremism, but at the same time we seem to ignore that the nonviolent forms of Islamization are even more important. Because those who are willing to blow themselves up are at the last stage of a radicalization process. And we don't seem to want to look at what is happening before, because it would push us to raise serious questions about the type of integration, structures or policies that we have - or the lack of them.

A lot of politicians do not have the courage to look at the public interest. In Britannia - in other countries as well, but I am talking right now specifically about Britannia - if we don't act in a way that tackles the roots of the problems, Britannia will continue to be on high-alert when it comes to terrorism. And it is not coming from outside. It is coming from within.

What should the politicians do in the public interest?
They should insist on certain kinds of policy measures. I just mentioned Koran schools for instance. From my perspective, any self-respecting politician should insist that Koran schools be supervised by a state authority like any kindergarten. You would not allow a kindergarten that teaches hate speech. But the moment we say this about a Koran school, everybody will say this is a no-go zone.

It is about time that we see which types of lessons are being taught at Koran schools, ending this ghettoization, making sure that we have some kind of infrastructure of nonviolent Islamists.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
At Least Three Anti-Trump Leakers Identified, Referred to Proper Authorities, Expected to Be Fired Soon
Good, though it's ironic that this information, too, was leaked. Perhaps the secret is that it's more than three.

"CBS News has confirmed from two sources that three leakers of classified information at the White House have been identified and are expected to be fired," CBS News reported this week, adding, "Officials within the Trump White House believe leaks of Mr. Trump’s conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are a ’deliberate attempt’ by officials who are holdovers from President B.O.’s administration and are trying to damage the Trump presidency."

In addition, this week, chief One America News Network (OANN) White House correspondent Trey Yingst also reported that three White House leakers have been identified and referred to the proper authorities.

Yingst wrote on Twitter that the three leakers have been carelessly leaking classified information to hurt President Trump politically and that Trump is expected to fire "multiple people" connected with the network of leakers upon his return to the White House:

Freeze his assets under RICO? Declare him persona non grata and put him on a no fly list? Help Hungary prosecute him? Invalidate his non-profit status? Dig up some dirt on him about his Nazi years and prosecute him for his years as a prison guard?

Renewed Tripoli clashes
Tunis, 27 May 2017:

For a second day running, there have been clashes in Tripoli between anti- and nominally pro-Presidency Council (PC) forces. Explosions occure in the southern district of Swani and there were reports of fresh clashes on the Airport Road and in Abu Sleem.

After yesterday’s failure by the anti-PC alliance to take over the area around Abu Sleem plus its loss of the Hadba prison and the Salahedeen area to Haithem Tajouri’s Tripoli Revolutionaries’ Brigade together with the fact that Ramadan started today, it was thought that it would accept defeat for the moment and take a pause, if only to reconsider tactics. Indeed, there were reports that the alliance’s principal commander, one-time member of the former General National Congress Salah Badi, had gone back to his home city of Misrata. However, reports today indicated he was still in the capital attempting to re-establish his position.

Earlier, Hashem Bishr, one of the four commanders of the forces ostensibly supporting the PC, announced that 52 of their fighters had died by 2.00am Saturday morning putting down the offensive launched by Badi’s Fakhr Libya (Pride of Libya) alliance. He added that ‘dozens’ had been injured.

The health ministry, though, put the figure at 47 dead and 183 injured.

On the other side, sources in Misrata say that 14 men from the city were killed. However, other Fakhr Libya casualties remain unknown.

In addition to Misratan fighters directly under Badi’s command and those in the Salah Al-Burki Brigade, the Fakhr Libya operation includes the Kani Brigade from Tarhouna, part of the Abu Obeida forces from Zawia and a unit from Gharyan.

Despite the loss of Salahadeen and the Hadba prison, Fakhr Libya remains in control of the southern Tripoli suburbs near Tripoli International Airport, including Gasr Ben Ghashir and Wadi Rabie.

Meanwhile, Tripoli’s central hospital launched an emergency appeal for medical staff to immediately come and help. Nurses were in particular demand.

In a statement about the fighting in Tripoli, the UN Security Council has deplored it, saying that the Libyan crisis could not be resolved “militarily”.

ISIS, al-Nusra fighting in Arsal
Takfiri insurgents were fighting each others on Saturday in Arsal barrens, where heavy losses were inflicted upon the two sides.

The clashes took place at dawn on Saturday when ISIL terrorists attacked Nusra Front’s posts in Arsal barrens- on the Lebanese border with Syria- from three fronts, Hezbollah Military Media Center reported.

Several militants from the two sides were killed and injured, the Military Media Center said.

Latter on Saturday, the clashes expanded to reach Flita barrens in Western Qalamoun in Syria’s Damascus countryside.

Gruesome jihadi infighting kills scores along Syria-Lebanon borders

Scores of jihadi rebels have been killed and injured as the self-proclaimed Islamic State blitzed positions for the rival jihadi group Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in Juroud Arsal along the Syrian-Lebanese borders.

The assault, which began last night and lasted till early morning, was eventually repelled but proved costly for both terror organizations. At least 30 ISIS jihadists were killed in the process including 5 field commanders who led the offensive from three axes.

As for the al-Qaeda offshoot in Syria, 5 HTS militants have been killed along with 6 jihadi rebels from its allied Saraya Ahl al-Sham; an ultraconservative pro-Qaeda faction mainly active in the Qalamoun region.

Following the clashes, the HTS asked the Lebanese Army to transfer 8 of its wounded fighters through the Red Cross to receive medical treatment in government hospitals.

This comes as the notorious jihadi group was involved in negotiation talks with the Lebanese Hezbollah to be evacuated to the northwestern province of Idlib; now entirely under jihadists’ control.

New $80M Anti-Trump Network Spearheaded by Soros-Funded Org With Former ACORN Employees
[FREEBEACON] A new $80 million anti-Trump network is being led by an organization whose top funder is liberal billionaire George Soros
...the secretive Hungarian born Ernst Stavro Blofeld-like billionaire who seems to fund every horrible progressive organization you can think of...
and which employs former members of the controversial and now-defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

The Center for Popular Democracy Action Fund, the 501(c)(4) sister organization of the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD), a New York-based nonprofit that receives the bulk of its funding from George Soros, announced at their spring gala Tuesday that they will be heading up the new $80 million anti-Trump network that will span 32 states and have 48 local partners, CNN reported.

The network will seek to mobilize new voters and fight voter identification laws. It will also focus on gerrymandering and automatic voter registration programs with an eye on the 2018 and 2020 election cycles.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.), the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee, backed the new effort.

"This national network, led by working class people of color and immigrants colonists, will supply the power and the fight we need to resist the Trump administration's all-out assault on American values," Ellison told CNN. "I look forward to standing with CPD Action's leaders in the streets and in Congress to win real progressive change."

Looks Like The Media Spread Another False Story About Trump
[DAILYCALLER] A BBC news hound kicked off an international firestorm Saturday morning when he claimed that Trump chose not to listen to a translation as Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni was speaking at the G7 summit.

BBC diplomatic correspondent James Landale tweeted a "short clip that sums up" the summit, attaching a video he claimed showed Trump had "chosen not to hear a translation of his Italian host’s speech." From the clip Landale tweeted, Trump appeared to be the only world leader not listening to a translation through headphones.

Journalists around the world quickly ran with the story that Trump was snubbing his foreign counterparts, using the one tweet as evidence. Landale’s tweet, meanwhile, was quickly shared thousands of times across Twitter.

"Trump obviously speaks fluent Italian so there is no need for headphones for translation," Huffington Post politics editor Sam Stein snarked.

UK newspaper The Mirror ran a story titled "Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’caught pretending to listen’ at G7 summit ‐ after crucial mistake ’gives him away'" that was based entirely off of Landale’s tweet.

German newspaper Der Spiegal ran a similar story, claiming Trump was disinterested in what Gentiloni had to say. The evidence for that story, too, consisted of Landale’s one tweet.

There’s just one problem: Trump was listening to the speech through an earpiece in his right ear, according to press secretary Sean Spicer. "As usual [President Trump] wears a single ear piece for translation in his right ear," Spicer said on Twitter.

It is the first time that Iran has announced the death of a senior commander during the operations launched in October to drive the Islamist snuffies out of Mosul.

"Commander Shaaban Nassiri was martyred in operations to free the area west of Mosul," the Tasnim news agency quoted the Revolutionary Guards as saying.

The IRGC is the main backer of the Iraqi Shia paramilitary force known as Popular Mobilisation, fighting IS men west of Mosul.

Nassiri was killed near Baaj, one of the last cities which remain under IS control, near the Syrian border, according to Mashregh, an Iranian news website.

The IS chief is believed to be hiding in the region, according to US and Iraqi officials.

Nassiri fought in the Iran-Iran war of 1980-1988 and has been involved in the six-year war in Syria, backing Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

A general from the Revolutionary Guards assumed the post of Iran’s ambassador to Iraq in April, in a sign of the key role the military force is playing in its neighbouring country.

Europe
Poland Bravely Bucks the EU, Says No to Refugees [VIDEO]
[VictoryGirlsBlog] Europe is having a bit of a problem with terrorism these days. From the recent attack in Manchester, to Paris, Stockholm, Berlin, and Brussels, Europeans are reeling.

Now the European Union wants to spread some of the fear around. They want to disperse about 160,000 refugees to Poland and Hungary, and those nations are giving a big thumbs down to that idea. Poland in particular is digging in its heels.

Okay, said EU hardliners to the Poles. Wanna play that way? We’ll cut off EU funds. But Konrad Symański, the Polish Europe Minister, told the EU that plans to disperse that number of refugees is "not implementable." Furthermore, that EU money is self-serving for Germans, Italian, and French investors, anyway.

In addition to that tough stand by Symański, Polish Prime Minister Beata Syzdło addressed her nation’s parliament about the refugee issue. Calling it "Brussels elites’ folly," she blasted the EU. And she minced no words, either.

Poland, of course, is no stranger to terror and fear. Germany invaded Poland in 1939, setting off World War II. And why did Germany invade? Why, Hitler wanted Lebensraum -- "living space" -- for the German people. Does this sound vaguely familiar to Islamism today? Caliphate, anyone?

Nevertheless, brave Poles tried to throw off Nazi oppression in the Warsaw Uprising of 1944. Ultimately, the uprising failed, and it led to a Russian takeover of Poland. Poor Poland was then run under the thumb of communism until 1989. For decades Poles lived in this Workers’ Paradise:
...
So can anyone blame the Poles for saying "Nie!" -- No! to the threat of Islamism? Nie! to terror attacks and sharia law causing havoc in their land? On the contrary, the Poles are acting like a normal nation -- looking out for their own security, despite the EU’s attempt to bring them into their cultural suicide pact.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
6 wounded in ISIS attack of Lebanese Army patrol
Beirut – Six members of the military were wounded on Friday when an ISIS militant blew himself against a Lebanese army patrol while trying to evade capture.

Bilal Ibrahim Breidy blew himself in the northeastern border town of Arsal, lightly wounding some of the military intelligence members, said an army statement.

Breidy was one of the suspects linked to the twin bombings that targeted the Christian majority town of Ras Baalbek in the Bekaa near the Syrian border two days ago.

The Army Command had announced that “less than 24 hours after the Ras Baalbek bombing and the dismantling of a third explosive, the intelligence directorate managed to arrest ISIS member Hussein al-Hassan, who hails from Arsal and who confessed to taking part in the attack.”

Lebanon’s Higher Defense Council meanwhile imposed a number of measures aimed at bolstering security and stability during the holy month of Ramadan and throughout the summer season. These measures will encompass the Rafik Hariri International Airport, mosques and places of worship, They will also cover certain “security hot spots” in the country.

The Council deemed these measures as “preemptive security” that are aimed at averting any breach and keeping the country safe from regional unrest.

The Council made its decisions after a meeting it held at the presidential palace on Friday afternoon. It was chaired by President Michel Aoun and attended by Prime Minister Saad Hariri, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil, Defense Minister Yaacoub al-Sarraf, Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil, Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq, Justice Minister Salim Jreissati, Public Works and Transportation Minister Youssef Finianos and Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian. General Prosecutor Judge Samir Hammoud, State Commissioner to the Military Court Jude Saqr Saqr, Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, Internal Security Forces chief Imad Othman, General Security chief Abbas Ibrahim, State Security chief Antoine Saliba, Higher Council of Customs chief Asaad Tufaili and a number of officers and security officials were also present.

Aoun hailed at the beginning of the meeting “the security agencies’ performance in carrying out preemptive military and security operations to counter terrorism in all of its forms.”

The decisions of the Council remained secret, but sources from the gatherers revealed to Asharq Al-Awsat that “there are reasons that called for holding this meeting at the beginning of Ramadan and the tourism season.”

They noted that this was first time the Higher Defense Council convenes since the appointment of Army Commander Joseph Aoun and a number of heads of security agencies to their posts.

“It was necessary for the exchange of information between all security agencies, especially in wake of the army operations against terrorist groups along the eastern border. The agencies succeeded in arresting members of security cells that are active in the country,” they explained.

Strict security measures have been imposed at all tourism areas in Lebanon, most notably after the arrest of a terrorist cell that confessed to plotting to bomb Casino du Liban and a number of nightclubs.

These measures will be heightened in the summer.

A security source that was present at the Higher Defense Council meeting told Asharq Al-Awsat: “The meeting was not based on worrying security information.”

It instead said that the security situation in Lebanon was calm.

Slain Virginia Officer Was Former Marine, Father Of 3
[HOSTED.AP.ORG] A Virginia State Police special agent fatally shot by a convicted felon in a Richmond public housing complex was a father of three and former Marine who founded a youth wrestling club and mentored disadvantaged kids, authorities said.

Special Agent Michael T. Walter, 45, died early Saturday after being shot Friday evening by Travis Ball in a neighborhood in Virginia's capital city that has been plagued by gun violence, police said.

Walter, who was white, was an 18-year veteran of Virginia State Police who previously served in the Marine Corps, State Police Superintendent Col. Steven Flaherty said.

The Philadelphia native was promoted to special agent in 2010 and was working in drug enforcement in the state police's Bureau of Criminal Investigation's Richmond field office.

Walter is survived by a wife and two sons- ages 14 and 9- and a 6-year-old daughter, Flaherty said. He was well-known in the suburban Richmond community where he lived and started a nonprofit wrestling organization for kids, police said.

"It was all about making a difference to disadvantaged youth: mentoring them and fostering their talents through physical fitness and sportsmanship," Flaherty told news hounds Saturday in Mosby Court near the spot where Walter was shot.

The shooting rattled residents of the public housing community, which has seen six homicides and 19 people injured in shootings this year.

"I just shook my head and said 'not again'," said Darlene Crutchfield, who saw Walter's body lying on the ground near where her 34-year-old son was killed in Mosby Court in 2015.

Walter was shot Friday night while on patrol with a City of Richmond police officer, police said. The officers observed a Chevrolet Cobalt pull up to a curb on Redd Street and then pulled in behind the car.

The Richmond officer went to speak to the driver. Walter approached the passenger side of the car when a single shot rang out, police said. Ball then took off after the shooting, sparking an overnight manhunt by eight local, state, federal law enforcement agencies.

Ball, who's black, was jugged

Saturday in Virginia's Northern Neck about an hour after Walter's death.

The 27-year-old is being held without bond on charges that include malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Additional charges are pending.

Ball has a lengthy criminal record, including convictions for assault and battery and cruelty to animals, court records show. He was convicted of a felony in 2014 for unauthorized use of a vehicle and was charged last year with violating his probation, according to online court records.

Bangladesh
Is it because she is a woman?
[Dhaka Tribune] Sometime between my birth and my realisation that the world is quite a long way from right, I must have missed the lesson where it is explained to me that culture is something which is static.

Perhaps, it is a defect of my bourgeois middle-class English-medium education, and I was under the wrong impression that culture, by definition, is anything but static.

Friday was a great and terrible day. Lady Justice is no more. Islamists all over the country are celebrating this as a great blow towards the spectre of Western influence that she represents.

Perhaps, in some obscure verse by some obscure scholar, reading whose work would get me on some watchlist somewhere, it has been written that the problems of Bangladesh can all be traced to that poignant symbol known throughout the world.

Let us ignore the heavy-handed symbolism. In a country where so many major crimes remain unsolved, where the headlines consist of the faceless dead, where murder, rape, and arson are par for the course — the forcible removal of the symbol of justice due to capitulation to the religious right is so absurd that it defies belief.

It’s like a bad joke, and as the forces of “good” become more emboldened by this show of cowardice by the government, the deaths that will follow will be the punchline.

Islam forbids the worship of idols, and we can all agree that justice is something which is not exactly revered in Bangladesh.

How about Justice Man, then?

A couple of points — does anyone in their day to day lives really care what is in front of the Supreme Court? I’ve driven past the Supreme Court numerous times, and I can quite frankly admit that I’ve never been seized by an ineffable rage at the usurpation of our country’s culture.

Be honest — have you? Why Lady Justice though? Is it because she is a woman and that goes against the deeply conservative and patriarchal country that we are? Would Justice Man — heroic purveyor of justice have been more acceptable, Qur’an in one hand, machete in another have sufficed?

It goes without saying that Justice Man would wear no blindfold, because, in Bangladesh, it is all about who you know.

The crux of the argument then comes from the fact that she is a foreign symbol, implanted as a cipher by the godless imperialistic Western hegemony — the faux new world order turning the fickle minded youth away from their culture and towards destruction.

I forget, which Western democracy did Nibras Islam kill for again?

If that is the case and the act of preserving culture is the act of preserving the past, what becomes the cut-off point? What past is the one that must be preserved? If the symbol of justice is a foreign symbol and we must keep the Bengali cultural heritage pure, why not the automobile?

Why not the air-conditioner or the Coca Cola can or the ever popular tool for murderers nowadays, the machete?

What exactly separates the symbols of a foreign culture from the culture of our country? When is the standard against which all advances are measured against? Is it before 1971, when our country was known as East Pakistan? Is it before 1947? 1757? 1526?

Why statues?

The question then becomes how long does an idea take to become appropriated? None of the religions present in our country, aside from maybe Hinduism, is exactly endemic to the region. Why haven’t those been rejected as anathema?

What about cell-phones, the computer, the iPad, Nike (named after a roman goddess as well), the laws of physics, and so many other things?

Reject one idea as foreign and you must reject them all.

This writer ponders why, with all of the horrific problems that are present in our economy, where the headlines are as much written in blood as in ink, do people believe that the cancer that infests us will be excised by yelling about statues?

What this move will do is nothing, except tell the murderers present in our society that it is their society. Things will regress further and further, and if the government continues to capitulate to the demands of madmen, the country will become one where it is dangerous to even speak.

After UK, Egypt attacks, Libya seen as jihadist haven
[IsraelTimes] Attacks in Manchester and Egypt highlight threat posed by Islamist groups that have thrived in chaotic North African nation.

The Libya connection in the May 22 Manchester concert suicide kaboom and Friday’s attack on Christians in Egypt has shone a light on the threat posed by hard boy Islamic groups that have taken advantage of lawlessness in the troubled North African nation to put down roots, recruit fighters and export jihadists to cause death and carnage elsewhere.

Libya has been embroiled in violence since a 2011 uprising toppled and killed Muammar Qadaffy

15 ISIS Bad Guys lynched in Nangarhar province
At least 15 Daesh militants were killed in a clash with civilians on Friday in Nangarhar province, local officials said Saturday.

The clash occurred in Wach Kot village of Kot district on Friday evening, after Daesh militants tried to capture a local resident who the group claimed had been syping on them, said Attaullah Khogyani, the provincial governor’s spokesman.

The residents resisted Daesh’s move and a gunfight ensued. However, six civilians, including a woman were killed in the incident, Khogyani said.

Fifteen Daesh militants were also killed in the clash, Khogyani added.

Daesh has been particularly active in Nangarhar province in the past few months – especially in Achin, Kot, Nazyan and Charparhar districts of the province.

Islamic State claims deadly attack on Egyptian Christians
[IsraelTimes] Authorities raise official corpse count from bus shooting to 29.

The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
jihadist group on Saturday grabbed credit for an attack on a bus in central Egypt that killed dozens of Christians, its propaganda arm said.

"A security detachment from the Islamic State carried out an attack yesterday in Minya, targeting a bus carrying Copts and taking the lives of 32 of them," Amaq reported.

Earlier on Saturday, Egyptian authorities increased the official corpse count from the attack in Minya province to 29.

The Egyptian Cabinet said in a news release that 13 victims of Friday’s attack remained hospitalized in Cairo and the southern province of Minya where the attack took place. Authorities had previously said 28 were killed.

Senior Egyptian officials said fighter jets targeted bases in eastern Libya of the Shura Council, an Islamist militia known to be linked to al-Qaeda, not the Islamic State group. There was no immediate word on damage.
Ynet adds:
Egyptian fighter jets carried out strikes on Friday directed at camps in Libya which Cairo says have been training holy warriors who killed dozens of Christians earlier in the day.

Egyptian military sources said six strikes took place near Derna in eastern Libya at around sundown; hours after masked gunnies attacked a group of Coptic Christians traveling to a monastery in southern Egypt, killing 29 and wounding 24

East Libyan forces said they participated in the air strikes, which had targeted forces linked to al-Qaeda at a number of sites, and would be followed by a ground operation.
Al Qaeda in North Africa training ISIS cadres who were seconded some time ago from the Moslem Brotherhood? Sounds like the end of the saying "...and all Moslems against the unbelievers." Brothers fighting together against cousins can take place later.
A resident in Derna heard four powerful kabooms, and told Rooters that the strikes had targeted camps used by fighters belonging to the Majlis al-Shura murderous Moslem group.

Majlis al-Shura front man Mohammed al-Mansouri said in a video posted online that the Egyptian air strikes did not hit any of the group's camps, but instead hit civilian areas.

Gunmen did not shoot randomly
Eyewitnesses said masked men opened fire after stopping the Christians, who were in a bus and other vehicles on a desert road. Local TV channels showed a bus apparently raked by gunfire and smeared with blood.

Eyewitnesses said three vehicles were attacked. First to be hit was a vehicle taking children to the monastery as part of a church-organized trip, and another vehicle taking families there.

The gunnies boarded the vehicles and shot all the men and took all the women's gold jewelry. They then shot women and kiddies in the legs.

When one of the gunnies's vehicles got a flat tire they stopped a truck carrying Christian workers, shot them, and took the truck.

One of the gunnies recorded the attack on the Copts with a video camera, eyewitnesses said.

The attack took place on a road leading to the monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor in Minya province.

Security forces launched a hunt for the attackers, setting up dozens of checkpoints and patrols on the desert road. Police armed with assault rifles formed a security perimeter around the attack site while officials from the public prosecutor's office gathered evidence. Heavily armed special forces arrived later wearing face masks and body armor.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
82-Year-Old Shoots Home Invader in Butt Ending Father-Son Crime Spree
[FREEBEACON] An elderly homeowner shot a home invader earlier this month ending a father-son crime spree.

The altercation happened on the day that Vladimir Sanchez was released from prison. His 16-year-old son allegedly stole his mother's car and took it to pick up his father from prison. Miami Police later spotted Sanchez driving the stolen car and pulled it over.

As they began to arrest Sanchez, his son jumped out of the passenger seat and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace. As police searched the area, the teen allegedly stole some clothes from a home's washing machine in order to change his appearance. At some point, the teen allegedly entered the home of the elderly man.

That's when the 82-year-old was startled by a noise in his basement. When he went to investigate, police said, the teen confronted him and shoved him. That's when the 82-year-old shot the teen in the buttocks.

"Shots were fired within the home," Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat told CBS Miami. "We know, from the homeowner, that he was forced to fire after he confronted a man inside the basement of his house."

Neighbors said they were terrified by the incident.

"I have a newborn," Conny Quitialla, a neighbor, told the news station. "Our first instinct was to lock ourselves down and keep low, in case any shooting happened."

Sanchez was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. His teen son was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They are both being charged with multiple crimes in relation to the crime spree.

Idlib as a jihadist paradise: Syrian Al-Qaeda tries its hand at agriculture
[ALMASDARNEWS] The infamous term "Jihadist paradise", as Syrian Idlib province is often jokingly referred to, might stick to this islamist-held region in northwestern Syria for a longer period of time than one could think.

Photos emerged in the Internet show that Syrian al-Qaeda branch, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), decided to try its hand at non-military activities, namely in agriculture.

As it can be seen on the pictures below, jihadists have established artificial fish breeding farms in al-Ghab Plains in southwestern Idlib countryside, near the administrative border with Hama province:

Idlib is one of the four so-called de-escalation zones defined by the agreement brokered by Russia, Iran and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
. With the agreement currently in action and HTS taking control of agriculture in the region, these activities may indicate that jihadists are planning to settle in Idlib for rather long time.

Likewise, Idlib already became a home for lots of foreign murderous Moslems. Thus, Jisr al-Shoughour city in southwestern Idlib countryside can be legally called a "predominately Uighur city" as thousands of Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) jihadists and their family members have settled in the city since 2015, while many native citizens fled.
That will make the American coalition bombing runs ever so much easier. Thanks for the tip, O Al Masdar reporter. Of course Iran's people won't be forgotten, but y'all will be dealt with on our timing, not yours.

Lady Justice statue re-erected on Supreme Court premises
[Dhaka Tribune] Just a day after being removed from in front of the Supreme Court, the statue of Lady Justice was reinstalled before the annex building of the apex court late Saturday night.

Mrinal Haque, the sculptor of the blindfolded and sari-clad figure of a woman, confirmed the news to Bangla Tribune.

After the statue was displaced on the early hours of Friday morning, the incident garnered much criticism with many demanding immediate reinstalment.

Holding a sword in one hand and a scale in the other, the statue is considered a symbol of justice.

The work of re-erection on the Supreme Court premises started around 8pm.

Around 11:15pm Mrinal said: "I received the Supreme Court’s order to reinstall it this morning. Hence, the statue is being reinstated from 8pm. The complete task to reinstall the statue will end in an hour."

He said: "Erecting the statue in front of the annex building after removing it from the Supreme Court is not the same thing. Being on focus and being inside are separate things."

Some 30 people were working to reinstall the statue, he said.

When contacted, an official of an intelligence agency around 11pm said a decision was taken to reinstate the statue.

had targeted the statue since its erection in December, saying it did not reflect the Islamic culture of the Moslems in Bangladesh.

Even hours before the removal, Bangladesh Khilafat Andolan on Thursday morning placed the same demand. Earlier, Islami Oikya Jote

The local police force campaign members fall under the U.S-Forces.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident and said it had been a suicide car bombing at a bus terminal in Khost city.

The incident occurred at about 08:30 am local time.

In addition to the 18 killed, six were wounded including at least two children, the MoI said.

The provincial governor's spokesman Mubariz Zadran said the explosion took place in the Mujahid square area in Khost.

Home Front: Culture Wars
The Myth of White Terrorism
[TakiMag] Islam isn’t just preying on the weak. They’re preying on the weak-minded. On Monday night, Salman Abedi murdered 29 young Britons and their parents with a nail bomb. As is always the case, the response has been flowers and apologies and calls to coexist. On Sky News I hate-watched some ponce tell an SAS soldier he "understands his rage" but we can’t punish Muslims because it will create a backlash. This is a country where they ignore child rapists and regularly imprison white men for offending Islam. These men are attacked once inside and one just died.

Another common refrain regarding Islamic terror is groups like the SPLC reminding us that "In America, the face of terrorism is white." This was made perfectly clear in a viral video circulated by AJ+ that featured lots of American skinheads Sieg Heiling next to images of dead babies and quotes such as "White supremacists are more responsible for terror attacks than people acting in the name of Islam." WHAT?!

The statistical gymnastics to get to these numbers are more than just mathematically negligent. They are traitorous. AJ+ is owned by Al Jazeera, which is owned by the House of Thani. They are the oldest oil family in Qatar and they use taqiya to spread half-assed propaganda across the world. What’s truly amazing about this bullshit is how eager the left is to eat it up. Simply sitting in an armchair for five minutes and remembering the news is all you need to do to realize the number of white-supremacist deaths isn’t even in the same universe as deaths from Islamic terrorism. The numbers I get are five vs. 3,099.

Trial opens over 2015 Tunisia beach attack
[DW] A Tunisian court on Friday held its first public hearing in a trial over a jihadi attack at a resort beach in 2015 in which 38 holidaymakers died, 30 of them Britons. Two German nationals were also among the dead.

The trial, which opened under heavy security, was quickly adjourned after lawyers for both sides sought more time to prepare their cases. The next hearing was set for October 3, a judiciary front man told AFP news agency.

Most of the 26 defendants face charges including homicide and forming a terrorist group in connecton with the attack in Sousse, in which a student armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and grenades went on a rampage in a resort before being rubbed out by police.

Six of the defendants are, however, coppers accused of failing to help people in danger.

The trial hearing in Tunis was attended by British diplomatic officials.

The gunman in the attack, Seifeddine Rezgui, had been "mainly" radicalized on the internet before receiving weapons training in neighboring Libya, Tunisian authorities say.
'Shambolic response'
A British inquiry in February found that Tunisian security had delayed their arrival on the scene, thus failing to protect the victims of the attack. The judge in charge of the inquest, Nicholas Loraine-Smith, said that the police response had been "at best shambolic, at worst cowardly."

If convicted, the accused could face the death penalty under a 2015 anti-terror law, even though Tunisia has had a moratorium on capital punishment since 1991.

Lawyers representing some defendants asked for their clients to be released from prison as they were not materially implicated in the attack, saying also that they had been subjected to torture while detained.

The attack in Sousse was the second of two deadly attacks on foreigners in 2015 claimed by the "Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. " (IS) jihadi group. The massacre devastated Tunisia's important tourism sector, with British authorities still advising citizens against undertaking non-essential travel to the country even two years later.

The gunman in the attack, Seifeddine Rezgui, had been "mainly" radicalized on the internet before receiving weapons training in neighboring Libya, Tunisian authorities say.

Protests hit held Kashmir after killing of militant leader
[DAWN] In scenes reminiscent of what transpired in the aftermath of popular myrmidon leader Burhan Wani’s killing, a civilian lost his life and dozens of others were maimed on Saturday after massive anti-India protests and festivities erupted in India-held Kashmire following the death of a top myrmidon commander and his associate in a shootout with Indian troops.

Militant commander Sabzar Ahmed Bhat and one of his comrades were killed after troops cordoned off the southern Tral area overnight following a tip that snuffies were hiding there, police said.

The shootout ended on Saturday and soldiers recovered the bodies of two myrmidons. However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
they were searching the area for at least one more body, police said.

The two were not the only snuffies to be slain on Saturday. At least six other snuffies were also killed in the disputed Himalayan region.

Two others had been slain on Friday, taking the total number of snuffies killed in held Kashmire on Friday and Saturday to at least 10.

As the shootout raged in southern Tral area between Indian troops on the one hand and Bhat and his comrade on the other, hundreds of angry residents chanting anti-India slogans mounted a march in an attempt to help the trapped pair escape, according to sources.

Clashes between rock-throwing protesters and government forces erupted in different places in the area, with police and paramilitary soldiers firing shotgun pellets and tear gas to stop the protests.

Witnesses said a young man was killed and several other people were maimed after Indian forces fired on the protesters near the site of the shootout. Police chief of the disputed region S.P. Vaid claimed the man was killed in a crossfire.

As the news of the myrmidon leader’s killing spread in the region, thousands of people, including students, erupted into the streets shouting "Go India, go back" and "We want freedom".

Traders shuttered shops and businesses across the Kashmire Valley, including Srinagar. Officials said festivities were reported in more than four dozen places in the disputed region.

Dozens of civilians were reportedly injured in the festivities. Police claimed at least 25 coppers and paramilitary soldiers were also injured.

In an effort to quell the protests, authorities declared an indefinite security lockdown in parts of Srinagar and other major cities and towns across the valley starting on Sunday, which marks the beginning of Ramazan.

They also suspended most internet services in the region a day after they had lifted a month-long ban on 22 social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter.

Kashmiri leaders who challenge India’s illusory sovereignty over Kashmire called for a general strike on Sunday and Monday.

Other myrmidons
Earlier on Saturday, soldiers killed six snuffies near the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army claimed.

A shootout erupted after the group of heavily armed snuffies crossed over from Azad Kashmire to the western Rampur sector of held Kashmire, said army front man Col Rajesh Kalia.

On Friday, the army said soldiers had killed two suspected snuffies in the same area.

There was no independent confirmation of the incidents, however.

Pakistain’s reaction

...Adviser to Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Security and Foreign Affairs, who believes in good jihadis and bad jihadis as a matter of national policy...
condemned the killing of 12 Kashmiri youths by Indian forces since Friday and said three of them had been slain "extra-judicially".

Highlighting the gravity of the situation in the disputed region, he urged the international community -- particularly the United Nations

Iraq
Mosul Offensive News

Iraqi forces tell civilians to evacuate old Mosul

(Reuters) The Iraqi air force dropped leaflets on Friday urging residents in the Islamic State-held Old City center of Mosul to flee, raising fears among humanitarian groups for the safety of desperate civilians there.

The leaflet drop, announced in an Iraqi military statement, signaled that the decisive offensive to dislodge the militants from their remaining enclave in the northern Iraqi city was imminent.

The U.S.-backed offensive on Mosul, now in its eighth month, has taken longer than planned as the militants are dug in among civilians, fighting back with booby traps, suicide cars and motor-bikes, snipers and mortar fire.

Civilians trapped behind Islamic State lines face a harrowing situation with little food and water, no electricity and limited access to hospitals.

“Iraqi air force planes dropped hundreds of thousands of leaflets a short while ago on the non-liberated areas … urging citizens to exit through safe corridors,” an Iraqi military statement said.

A resident in Farouq, an Old City neighborhood, sounded desperate in a telephone interview. “We’re waiting for death at any moment, either by bombing or starving,” he said, asking not to be identified for his safety. “Adults eat one meal a day, either flour or lentil soup.”

The humanitarian group Oxfam said the leaflets suggested that the Iraqi forces’ move on the Old City in Mosul “is imminent … This could involve an official announcement from the military in the coming days”.

“Save the Children is deeply concerned that any calls to leave west Mosul will mean that civilians, particularly children, are in significant danger of being caught in the crossfire,” another aid organization said in a statement.

The militants have laid sheets of corrugated metal over pebbles in the alleys as an early warning system, residents said. The grinding noise produced by treading on it would alert them to any troop movements or civilians trying to escape.

The United Nations last week said up to 200,000 more people could flee Mosul as fighting moves to the Old City.

Residents said millet, usually used as bird feed, is being baked like rice as food prices increased by ten folds. People were seen collecting wild mallow plants in abandoned lots and also eating mulberry leaves and other types of plants.

About 700,000, about a third of the pre-war city’s population, have already fled, seeking refuge either with friends and relatives or in camps.

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi had initially hoped Mosul would be retaken by the end of 2016.

The fall of Mosul would mark the end of Iraqi half of the “caliphate” declared nearly three years ago by Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, which also covers parts of Syria.

Iraqi military commanders had expressed hope of taking control of the Old City’s Grand al-Nuri mosque, from which Baghdadi declared the caliphate, before the fasting month of Ramadan, which starts on Saturday or Sunday in Iraq.

The insurgency is expected to continue in the sparsely populated desert region along the Syrian border even if Mosul is fully captured.

Iranian-backed Shi’ite paramilitary forces are fighting Islamic State in that part of the country where Baghdadi is believed to be hiding, according to U.S. and Iraqi officials.

The Iraqi Shi’ite paramilitary force, known as Popular Mobilisation, is theoretically under Abadi’s command.

On Friday, it announced it had captured the Sinjar military base, cutting the road between two cities that remain under Islamic State control west of Mosul, Tal Afar and Baaj, and getting closer to the Syrian border.

Iraq’s Shi’ite-led government is aiming to control the border in coordination with the Iranian-backed army of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Linking up the two sides would give Assad a significant advantage in fighting the six-year rebellion against his rule.

Iraqi forces move into ISIS held districts

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi government forces invaded Islamic State’s last bastion in western Mosul’s Old City Saturday through three districts as operation near the elimination of the extremist group from its proclaimed capital.

The Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell, quoting the Joint Operations Command, said joint forces invaded “the remaining non-liberated districts in western Mosul, invading al-Shefa, al-Jamhouri Hospital, Zanjili and al-Sihha al-Oula.

Federal Police chief, Lt. Gen. Shaker Jawdat, said his forces passed the third of Mosul’s five main bridges linking the western side with the east above the Tigris River towards the Old City.

Jawdat said he was confident his forces were able to win the battle as IS starts to lose control over areas near the Hadbaa (leaning) Minaret, referring to the mosque where IS supreme leader declared in 2014 the establishment of the group’s “caliphate” in Iraq.

Federal Police said Thursday they opened safe exits for civilians from the ancient area.

Iranian commander dies in western Mosul

Baaj (IraqiNews.com) A commander with the Iranian elite Revolutionary Guards Corps was killed in operations by Iran-backed, Iraqi paramilitary forces against the Islamic State, an agency reported late Friday.

Haj Shaban Nasiri was killed during operations by al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units) in Baaj, a desert area near the borders with Syria still witnessing an Islamic State presence, according to online Iranian newspaper Mashregh News.

The website said Nasiri had co-founded Badr Organization which fought the Saddam Hussein regime in the 1980s. Badr Organization is part of the PMU force, an alliance of more than 60 mainly Shia paramilitary groups fighting the Islamic State since 2014.

The website pointed to what it described as Nasiri’s “effective presence” in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

Iran is an ardent political and military supporter of Shia governments and militias in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. IRGC fighters are actively engaged in fighting alongside President Bashar al-Assad’s forces against IS and rebel fighters in Syria.

PMUs enjoy Iraqi government recognition since November. They launched an offensive earlier this month to recapture areas near the Syrian borders from Islamic State militants, running simultaneously with government forces battles to retake Mosul, Islamic State’s largest stronghold in Iraq.

On field, al-Hashd al-Shaabi media said Saturday its troops recaptured Rambous village north of Baaj region. It has been taking over villages in neighboring Qairawan over the past few weeks.

29 ISIS Bad Guys die in western Mosul

Mosul/ Baaj (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi warplanes killed 29 Islamic State militants and set free 24 civilians from the group’s captivity on Saturday as operations to recapture the city approach their end.

The Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell said the airstrikes targeted IS locations in Baaj and Qairawan, west of Mosul and near the Syrian borders. Besides the deaths among militants, the strikes destroyed six vehicles, a fuel container and two motorbikes belonging to the group, according to the statement.

Pro-government paramilitary forces, al-Hashd al-Shaabi, have been sweeping through IS havens in the two areas since May 12th. The offensive ran coincidently with government troops battles against IS in western Mosul, where IS strongholds had shrunk to less than 10 percent of territories.

In western Mosul’s Old City, the last remaining IS haven, Cap. Ali Haider, from the Federal Police, was quoted saying that forces had set free 24 civilians, including women, and killed one IS sniper upon invading a prison run by the militant group at a big salt factory in al-Shefa.

The United Nations says at least 400.000 stranded in IS captivity in the Old City, and 200.000 could flee in coming period as the battle nears its end. The conflict displaced more than 670.000 since October.

14 ISIS Bad Guys in western Mosul

Mosul (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi Federal Police forces say they killed 14 Islamic State fighters while invading the group’s last bastion in western Mosul; the Old city, while the army mourned two of its officers who died during battles at the city.

The police command said the militants were killed during an incursion in Zanjili district, north of the Old City, where forces advanced over 250 meters backed by drones.

Dozens of snipers and other troops were deployed south of the Old City to strengthen control on the area’s narrow alleyways, the statement added.

The Joint Operations Command also said a lieutenant colonel and a colonel from the army’s 16th division were killed in combat in Mosul, but did not name a specific location.

Earlier on Saturday, the Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell, quoting the Joint Operations Command, said joint forces invaded “the remaining non-liberated districts in western Mosul, invading al-Shefa, al-Jamhouri Hospital, Zanjili and al-Sihha al-Oula.

Federal Police chief, Lt. Gen. Shaker Jawdat, said his forces passed the third of Mosul’s five main bridges linking the western side with the east above the Tigris River towards the Old City.

Syrian Army, Allied Forces Gain Ground against ISIL
Syrian troops and allied forces have pushed back ISIL militants and US-backed opposition fighters, gaining control of a large swath of territory in the country’s strategic southern desert, Syria media said Saturday.

With the new advances, the government and allied troops secured an area nearly half the size of neighboring Lebanon. The strategic juncture in the Syrian desert also restores government control over mineral and oil resources. The gains aid government plans to go after ISIL in Deir al-Zor, one of the terrorists’ last major stronghold in Syria. The oil-rich province straddles the border with Iraq and is the group’s last gate to the outside world.

The government and its allies have now secured the phosphate mines in Khneifes, once controlled by ISIL. The Syrian Central Military media said the new advances widen the government’s control south of Palmyra in Homs province and secure the highway linking the ancient city to the capital Damascus. The new advances, it said, secured over 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles) in the desert area.

40 Congressmen Write Letter Advocating for Turkish Personnel Involved in Attack on Protesters to be Expelled
[FREEBEACON] A group of 40 representatives wrote a letter to the Justice Department and State Department on Thursday urging them to immediately expel any Turkish personnel involved in a violent attack on protesters in Washington, D.C., earlier this month.

"This may be how they deal with dissenters in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
, but here in America that's against the law," Rep. Randy Hultgren (R., Ill.) said in a statement about the letter. "Our country is founded on the rights of free speech and freedom of peaceful assembly. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan's security team's brazen, physical assault on American citizens and legal residents peacefully protesting his policies is outrageous and follows a disturbing pattern. Foreign leaders, diplomats, and staff are invited guests of our nation, and they should act as such. All of those involved--at all levels--must be held accountable."

The attack on protesters came on May 16 during Turkish president Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him...
's visit to the United States. A few minutes after Erdogan arrived at the Turkish ambassador's residence in Washington, D.C., a number of his bodyguards and supporters rushed a group of protesters and began beating them. D.C. Police eventually separated the attackers from the protesters but not before a number received injuries requiring hospitalization.

Erdogan's government responded to the incident by blaming the protesters for instigating the attack despite video evidence that contradicts their claims. "The demonstrators began aggressively provoking Turkish-American citizens who had peacefully assembled to greet the President," the Turkish embassy said in a statement on the incident. "The Turkish-Americans responded in self-defense and one of them was maimed. The violence and injuries were the result of this unpermitted, provocative demonstration."

The Turkish government, which recently cracked down on free press in Turkey, has yet to respond to questions from the Washington Free Beacon.

The investigation into the attack is still ongoing and currently includes resources from the State Department, Secret Service, and D.C. Police. "The investigation remains active and is being conducted jointly by the Department of State's Diplomatic Security Service, U.S. Secret Service, and MPD," D.C. Police spokesperson Rachel Reid told the Free Beacon. "All three law enforcement agencies are actively sharing information and will remain in contact as the investigation proceeds."

Bomb disposal man dies in Salahuddin
Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) An Islamic State bomb whiz died while planting an explosive device east of Salahuddin, according to a local source who spoke Saturday.

The source told Alsumaria News that the militant, nicknamed al-Aaraj (lame), an Iraqi national, died planting the bomb on the side of a country road in Sebeyat, on the borders with Diyala.

Incidents of IS bomb makers dying while implanting explosives targeting security troops have been recurrent.

The village of Sebeyat had been empty of residents since IS fighters invaded it three years earlier, the source explained. Though the group was driven out of the village, a few months earlier, no permanent security presence was ensured, which encouraged the militants to return, he added.

IS, currently struggling to defend its last few havens in Mosul, its proclaimed capital since 2014, is still present at a few regions in Salahuddin, Anbar, Diyala and Kirkuk. The Iraqi government, at present giving full attention to the Mosul battle, is expected to aim at IS havens at other provinces after that campaign.

On Thursday, Udai al-Khadran, mayor of al-Khales town, north of Baqubah, Diyala, told Alsumaria News that IS redeployed its fighters at the villages near the borders with Salahuddin which had been empty of residents and lacking security presence for three years

Russian airstrikes smoke 120 ISIS Bad Guys in Raqqa
Russian airstrikes have killed as many as 120 ISIL terrorists who were trying to flee the Takfiri outfit’s last stronghold of Raqqah in northern Syria for the ancient city of Palmyra in the central part of the Arab country, a Russian Defense Ministry source says.

On Saturday, Russia’s Sputnik news agency cited a source with the country’s Defense Ministry as saying that the development had taken place two days earlier.

“As a result of these strikes, 32 pick-up trucks were destroyed and some 120 terrorists were killed,” the source said.

ISIL seized Raqqah in 2014, the same year when it started its campaign of terror in Syria. It then proceeded to capture large swathes of Syrian territory.

Russia has been lending aerial support to the Syrian counterterrorism operations since last September. The combined push is also being reinforced by Lebanese resistance fighters and Iranian military advisors.

The terrorists’ turf has now dwindled to just Raqqah.

Egyptian warbirds hit Jufra
[Libya Herald] Jufra airbase came under attack twice today – early in the morning and then this evening – by planes believed to belong to the Egyptian airforce. As well as the base itself, held by Misratan forces plus members of the Benghazi Defence Brigades (BDB), a nearby headquarters of a separate Misratan unit is also said to have been hit. At one point the explosions were reported being very loud, suggesting that an ammunitions depot had been hit.

So far there is no news of casualties.

The attacks follow those by the Egyptian air force on Derna yesterday.

There were six airstrikes on the Islamist-controlled town, supposedly in retaliation for the latest massacre of Egyptian Christians earlier in the day. The slaughter of 28 Coptic Christians in Minya province has been claimed by the so-called Islamic State, although Derna is controlled by pro-Al-Qaeda Mujahedeen Shoura Council which fought against IS and managed to expel it from the town in mid-2015.

The Egyptian authorities, however, have claimed that Al-Qaeda was behind the Minya massacre and that there were links between the killers and militants in Derna. In fact, a number of Egyptian mujahideen are reportedly based in Derna.

In contrast to the House of Representatives’ support for the Egyptian action, the airstrikes were today condemned by the Presidency Council (PC) as a violation of Libya’s sovereignty. In a statement, it said the attacks had been done “without coordination with the legitimate authorities” of the UN-backed government.

It added that while it was keen to cooperate with countries in the war on terror, it said the Egyptian strikes had had “no justification” whatsoever.

The PC did, however, denounce the Minya attack, but added that it looked forward to future cooperation with international partners who targeted “the forces of evil,” while still respecting Libya’s national sovereignty.
