BREAKING - Right-Wing Charlottesville (VA) Protest Rammed by Speeding Car
Charlottesville, Virginia (CNN)One person was killed and 19 were hurt when a speeding car slammed into a throng of counterprotesters in Charlottesville, where a "Unite the Right" rally of white nationalist and other right-wing groups had been scheduled take place, the city tweeted on its verified account.
Not sure if was the right or counter-protest side that was rammed. Right-wingers were there to protest the removal of a Confederate monument.

#1  Very last part of the CNN article at the link. Doesn't sound all that Hitlerite to me.

Jason Kessler, who organized Saturday's "Unite the Right" rally, said he doesn't consider himself to be a white nationalist. But, he said, "we're going to start standing up for our history."
"The statue itself is symbolic of a lot of larger issues. The primary three issues are preserving history against this censorship and revisionism -- this political correctness," he told CNN Friday.
"The second issue is being allowed to advocate for your interests as a white person, just like other groups are allowed to advocate for their interests politically. And finally, this is about free speech. We are simply trying to express ourselves and do a demonstration, and the local government has tried to shut us down."

3,551,760 More People Registered to Vote than Inhabitants
[DallasNews] My tabulation of Judicial Watch's state-by-state results yielded 462 counties where the registration rate exceeded 100 percent. There were 3,551,760 more people registered to vote than adult U.S. citizens who inhabit these counties.
What was Hilly's popular vote margin?
Among some 2,500 U.S. counties for which Judicial Watch had data, these 462 counties (18.5 percent of those studied) exhibit this ghost-voter problem. These range from 101 percent over-registration in Delaware's New Castle County to New Mexico's Harding County, where there are 62 percent more registered voters than living, breathing adult citizens.
Eleven states gave incomplete or inaccurate information.
Washington's Clark County is worrisome, given its 154 percent over-registration rate. This includes 166,811 ghost voters. Georgia's Fulton County seems less nettlesome at 108 percent over-registration, but for the 53,172 Atlantans who compose that figure.

But California's San Diego County earns the enchilada grande. Its 138 percent over-registration translates into 810,966 ghost voters. Los Angeles County's 112 percent rate equals 707,475 over-registrations. Beyond the official data that it received, Judicial Watch reports that L.A. County employees "informed us that the total number of registered voters now stands at a number that is a whopping 144 percent of the total number of resident citizens of voting age."
Ah...RESIDENTS! There's the rub!

Al Qaeda has drawn a bullseye on a new American target: Subway trains
[Wash Times] Al Qaeda is about to take on a new target -- America’s trains -- in an upcoming edition of its terror magazine, Inspire.

Issue No. 17 is headlined, "Train Derail Operations," and will spell out ways to create rail disasters in a transportation system that lacks the stiff security procedures of airline travel.

It’s competing Sunni extremists group, the Islamic State, for more than a year has advocated using vehicles to mow down innocents. Its murderous followers have weaponized vehicles in Nice, Berlin and London, creating hundred of deaths and injuries.

Adding trains to the terrorist’s priority list would put at risk virtually every mode of transportation and placed added pressure on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) put out a report on Friday saying al Qaeda has teased the Inspire articles with a trailer appearing on Telegram app channels operated by its fans.

"The trailer highlights that derailments are simple to design using easily available materials, that such a planned attack can be hard to detect, and that the outcome can substantially damage a country’s transportation sector and the Western economy in general," MEMRI said.

The Stench of Capital Hill
[Townhall] From Day One, Republicans coming into office said they would repeal and replace Obamacare. Obviously, they forgot that for the past seven years they had promised that very thing. They should have been prepared to present a viable plan.

Turns out they really had no idea what was in the plan they claimed they had. And it appears they had no need to understand what the plan was all about and how to debate its specifics because they knew it would never come to fruition. I can only conclude they lied to voters by giving the public the impression they were ready to repeal.

Because a repeal-and-replace didn’t happen on Day One or Day 50 or Day 200, Republicans proved to the American voter once again the depth of their lack of leadership. Frankly, Congress--Republicans in particular--has shown us just how dysfunctional they really are.

Pro-Hillary TV Personality Suggests Military Coup To Depose Trump
[Daily Caller] Chelsea Handler suggested on Friday that U.S. generals should carry out a military coup to replace President Trump, who she called "our idiot-in-chief."

"To all the generals surrounding our idiot-in-chief...the longer U wait to remove him, the longer UR name will appear negatively in history," the TV personality wrote on Twitter.

Handler’s comments come as the Trump administration, including the Defense Department, are on heightened alert over a rhetorical battle between President Trump and North Korea.

Handler, a Hillary Clinton supporter who cried when the Democrat lost in November, frequently makes controversial statements about Trump.

Earlier on Friday she posted a picture of herself at an airport with "Sorry about our president," written on it in English and 14 other languages.

Caribbean-Latin America
Why Was North Korea's Head of Intelligence and Cyber-Warfare Recently Welcomed in Cuba?
[Townhall] "Cuba is resolutely opposing the U.S. sanctions and pressure against North Korea and expressing full support for the just steps of North Korea in bolstering up defense capabilities including ICBM test-fires...we express our deep thanks to the Korean people who are sending solidarity to the Cuban people's just cause."

That was Ulises Rosales Del Toro, Stalinist Cuba’s "Vice President of the Council of Ministers" (i.e. eunuch apparatchik) conveying his master’s (Raul Castro’s) support to Kim Yong Nam, Stalinist North Korea's "President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly," (another eunuch apparatchik.)

The shout-out between these Stalinist eunuchs took place this week in Teheran during Iran’s "Presidential Inauguration ceremonies," (pow-wow among terrorists/murderers/burglars) which also included Zimbabwe’s "President" (witch-doctor/dictator) Robert Mugabe. The event was reported by Stalinist North Korea’s "press." (Propaganda ministry.)

"The Cuban party, government and people are always sided with the Workers’ Party of Korea, Korean government, and Korean people...Cuba and Korea are located far from one another, but are fighting in the same trench of continuing the joint struggle against imperialism," (Kim Jong Un, July, 5, 2016).

Women Can('t) Do Anything Men Can Do
[American Thinker] The phrase, "Women can do anything men can do," seems at first to be a rather harmless sentiment. As with all such, it has its uses, if not taken too far. If men can be surgeons, then so can women. If men can run a hardware store, then so can women. If men can be linebackers in the National Football League -- uh, too far.

Unfortunately, for leftist ideologues, there are no moderate positions on anything. You either agree with them in every detail, or else you are evil. Can we discuss our differences? No!

By now, you have surely read about the firing of James Damore, a software engineer at Google. He was fired for writing a thoughtful memo that questioned the wisdom of Google’s diversity policy. There is no need to repeat all the arguments, pro and con, of what he wrote, or whether it justified his firing. That has been done elsewhere.

The point of this commentary, is to remark on the insanity of it all. According to leftist ideology, there are no legitimate reasons, legal or social, to distinguish between men and women. Ever. Well, we can set quotas that favor women, but that’s only because women are treated so unfairly. Otherwise, we must pretend, as the late Betty Friedan claimed, that aside from external appearances (she called it, "packaging"), men and women are exactly the same in every relevant category. All of them.

The left seems never to ask why it is that women have, historically, been given roles that are viewed as subservient to men. If they would analyze the facts, then perhaps they could help fashion better policies for a society in which the roles and status of the sexes are being transformed. Jumping from medieval concepts of chivalry, to a sexless society, cannot be done in the one fell swoop of an Equal Rights Amendment -- if ever. To deny that is to deny reality, both biological and social.

Former Mueller deputy on Trump: 'Government is going to kill this guy'
[The Hill] CNN counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd warned that President Trump is agitating the government, saying during a Thursday afternoon interview with CNN anchor Jake Tapper that the U.S. government "is going to kill this guy."

Mudd, who served as deputy director to former FBI Director Robert Mueller, said Trump's defense of Russian President Vladimir Putin has compelled federal employees "at Langley, Foggy Bottom, CIA and State" to try to take Trump down.

"Let me give you one bottom line as a former government official. Government is going to kill this guy," Mudd, a staunch critic of Trump, said on "The Lead."

"He defends Vladimir Putin. There are State Department and CIA officers coming home, and at Langley and Foggy Bottom, CIA and State, they’re saying, 'This is how you defend us?' " he continued.

Manchin Rumored to Be Trump Pick for Energy Department to Free Up Senate Seat
[Free Beacon] Sen. Joe Manchin (D., W. Va.) has been rumored to be President Donald Trump's pick to lead the Department of Energy in order to free up his Senate seat.

Trump wants Manchin's seat open so it can be filled by Gov. Jim Justice, who recently changed party affiliations and became a Republican, so that a Republican can fill Manchin's seat in order to vote for a repeal of Obamacare, Bloomberg reports:

If Manchin were offered and accepted the position, that would allow West Virginia’s Governor Jim Justice -- a newly minted Republican -- to appoint a GOP successor and bring the party a vote closer in the Senate to being able to repeal Obamacare. The idea is in the early stages of consideration, and it’s unclear whether it has support within the administration, according to the people, who described the conversations under condition of anonymity.

America's strategic paralysis
h/t Gates of Vienna
On Thursday morning, for the second time in so many days, North Korea threatened to attack the US territory of Guam with nuclear weapons. Taken together with Pyongyang’s two intercontinental ballistic missile tests last month, and the US’s Defense Intelligence Agency’s acknowledgment this week that North Korea has the capacity to miniaturize nuclear bombs and so launch them as warheads on missiles, these threats propelled the US and the world into a nuclear crisis.

...Unfortunately, neither the State Department nor the US media seem to have noticed. Rather than consider the implications of North Korea’s threats and its nuclear capabilities, the major US media outlets and Donald Trump’s political opponents on both sides of the political aisle have opted instead to attack Trump.

...For his part, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told the media on Wednesday that Trump’s statement was not a threat to use force, per se. It was, rather, an attempt to speak to North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in a language he can understand, "since he doesn’t seem to understand diplomatic language."

Tillerson then said that the administration’s policy remains the policy of its predecessors. The US seeks to renew nuclear talks with North Korea if it will just step back from the brink. Last week Tillerson said that the US is not seeking to overthrow the Kim regime. This was an extraordinary unilateral concession to a regime that is developing the means to conduct nuclear strikes against US cities.

What Tillerson’s statement along with the response of the media and Trump’s political opponents all make clear is that at a moment when the US is in critical need of a serious strategic discussion about North Korea, no such discussion is taking place.

And North Korea is not the only threat that the foreign policy elite in Washington ‐ both in and out of government ‐ is failing to address realistically or responsibly.

The absence of serious strategic discourse in the US is just as striking in everything related to Trump’s handling of the Iranian threat.

Deputy National Security Adviser Rick Waddell, Senior Director for Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Gulf States Joel Rayburn, and Yll Bajraktari, a former special assistant to the deputy secretary of defense during the Obama administration, have been coordinating an extensive public relations campaign in support of embattled National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, according to multiple sources.

...However, sources claim the last week of public relations outreach did in fact heavily target conservative organizations that, while generally opposed to the JCPOA, may be willing to choose their distaste of Trump over McMaster’s actions that appear to spell out a more supportive stance on the deal.

Indeed, allies of McMaster reportedly reached out to Heritage, the Hudson Institute, and the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, perhaps among other right-leaning think-tanks. Sources say at least one of the above organizations had scheduled a private meeting with McMaster himself.

In short, McMaster appears to be banking on "NeverTrump" currents allowing him to retain his position ... in President Trump’s administration. Meanwhile, accomplished national security careerists whom McMaster has fired, all of them loyal to Trump’s campaign stance on the JCPOA, are watching their reputations destroyed as "conspiratorial," as "alt-right," or as leakers -- and with no means of rebuttal. Welcome to the swamp.

Schumer's Losing This One
[WeeklyStandard]. On November 12, 2015, officials in New York and New Jersey thought they had struck it rich. They had arranged a 50-50 deal with the federal government in which the feds would pay for half the cost of a new tunnel under the Hudson River, the renovation of Penn Station, and a lot more.

An announcement said the “new federal commitment” included creation of a “development corporation to leverage billions in federal grant and loan funding.” With the estimated cost of the project now at $29 billion, that would mean $14.5 billion coming from Washington. The government loans would come on top of that. The corporation is known as the Gateway Project.

A half-dozen ecstatic officials were quoted in the announcement. Anthony Foxx, then Transportation secretary in the Obama administration, declared himself “ready to roll up my sleeves and use all the tools at my disposal to move this critical project forward.”

But there was less to the announcement than met the eye. The agreement was not signed into law. It wasn’t binding. No contract obligating the parties was signed. The “commitment” to share costs evenly was merely an expression of intentions. The announcement itself was all that existed—a press release. Foxx never had to roll up his sleeves.

From the Trump administration, the agreement gets less respect. It’s beginning to be seen as a giveaway program to two of America’s wealthiest states. Neither President Trump nor Department of Transportation officials have endorsed the 50-50 arrangement, nor are they expected to. The officials scoured DoT files in search of documents that might spell out any obligations they have. No such documents have been found.

The New York and New Jersey crowd isn’t happy. They were alarmed when Transportation secretary Elaine Chao quit the Gateway board as a potential conflict of interest. Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer, New York governor Andrew Cuomo, and New Jersey senator Cory Booker have lobbied her. They got nowhere, but Cuomo at least got along well with the secretary (in contrast with Schumer). She told them they’d have to wait for Trump’s decision this fall on his heralded infrastructure initiative. That comes first.

Tiger Forces pour into east Hama as Syrian Army secures key territory
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), backed up by paramilitary allies, has achieved a noteworthy advance against ISIS in eastern Hama Governorate. The assault comes as massive reinforcements from the SAA’s elite Tiger Forces pour into the region.

Today the SAA, led by the veteran Qalamoun Shield Forces, advanced towards ISIS-held town of Salba located east of al-Mabujah, securing the important hills and points that overlook the settlement.

The advance was achieved after heavy festivities with ISIS that began early this morning and concluded in the afternoon.

According to military sources exclusive to al-Masdar News, at least 20 ISIS fighters were killed and injured during the pro-government assault. Furthermore, one ISIS vehicle-borne improvised bomb (VBIED) was destroyed by the SAA before it reached forward army positions.

Now the SAA has full fire control over the town of Salba and is expected to storm the settlement soon.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
Tiger Forces reinforcements keep pouring into eastern Hama as part of a wider effort to develop the offensive against ISIS in the region. According to reports, a total of three (3) Tiger Forces groups have arrived in eastern Hama and are awaiting their orders, yet to see combat.

Once the orders are given for the Tiger Forces to attack, and thus the main phase of the offensive started, the speed of pro-government advances in eastern Hama should accelerate. From this point on, top Tiger Forces commander Suheil al-Hassan will reportedly lead the offensive.

ISIS beheads 3 civilians accused of being Kurdish recruits
[ALMASDARNEWS] The ISIS terrorist group has carried out a photo documented execution of three Syrian men which it accused of joining the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The execution took place in the town of al-Sor, Hasakah Governorate.

According to sources, none of the men executed were actually ethnic Kurds ‐ all three of them were Arabs.

ISIS often carries out public executions ‐ which it either films or photographs ‐ of civilians in the territories that it occupies. Rationales offered by the terrorist group for such actions are known to range from accusations of secret collusion with rival factions to accusations of sorcery (as was the case earlier this year for an unfortunate elderly man from Daraa whom ISIS claimed was a wizard).

ISIS suicide bomber kills 25 Jaysh al-Islam fighters in Daraa
[ALMASDARNEWS] The ISIS terrorist group, for reasons unknown, has targeted holy warriors of Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful...
’s Daraa chapter.

Hours ago, twenty-five (25) fighters belonging to the Jaish al-Islam bad boy faction were killed and another 15 injured after an ISIS jacket wallah let 'er rip at one of the rebel group’s military camps.

The attack took place in the town of Nassib in the eastern countryside of Daraa Governoarate.

How the ISIS suicide bomber was able to infiltrate the Jaish al-Islam’s military complex still remains a mystery.

Galmudug Announces New Security Measures In Galkayo
[RADIOSHABELLE] An official in Somalia’s central semi-autonomous state of Galmudug

Speaking to Radio Shabelle, the mayor of Galkayo Hersi Yusuf Barre confirmed that Puntland

and Galmudug forces are prepared to carry out the joint operation aimed at beefing up the city’s overall peace and stability following festivities in the past.

Barre stressed the two Federal states have recently trained an integrated Police force tasked with the security of Galkayo.

Somali Police commissioner Abdihakim Dahir Sa’id, who is a working visit in the town, has attended the closing ceremony for the training course of the integrated soldiers, and urged them to strive hard to enforce security in the region.

India-Pakistan
Jinnah’s address
[DAWN] IT is the greatest leader’s greatest speech.

Seventy years ago today, Mohammad Ali Jinnah took to the floor of the Constituent Assembly as its first elected president and delivered the iconic lines, "You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this state of Pakistain. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the state."

He added: "We are starting in the days where there is no discrimination, no distinction between one community and another, no discrimination between one caste or creed and another. We are starting with this fundamental principle that we are all citizens and equal citizens of one state."

Seventy years later, Mr Jinnah’s founding vision and direction for the country have yet to be realised. Indeed, an argument can be made that this nation has drifted further than ever from the one that he had envisioned. The founding father had warned that the "first duty of a government is to maintain law and order, so that the life, property and religious beliefs of its subjects are fully protected by the state", but society itself has fallen prey to extremism and an infrastructure of hate.

Korean People Are Sure to Win Victory: Provincial Rallies
[KCNAWATCH.CO] Mass rallies were held in South and North Phyongan, South Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces of the DPRK on Friday to hail the DPRK government statement categorically rejecting the recent UN "sanctions resolution".

Present were officials of local party, power and economic organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities and working people and youth and students.

At the rallies, the statement of the DPRK government was read out before speeches by vice-chairmen of the provincial committees of the Workers' Party of Korea and representatives of workers, agricultural workers, intellectuals and youths.

The speakers expressed full support for the government statement which totally rejected the UNSC "sanctions resolution" 2371, cooked by the U.S. and its vassal forces, as an illegal criminal document.

The "sanctions resolution" is no more than the last-ditch efforts of those frightened by the might of the DPRK, they said, adding:

The U.S. and other hostile forces have framed up the UN "sanctions resolutions" several times so far while picking on every DPRK's exercise of legitimate rights, but neither sanctions nor pressure could frighten the DPRK and they hardened its faith for independence and increased the spirit of self-development.

They said that as they have respected Supreme Leader Kim Pudge Jong-un
...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished...
and the might of single-minded unity and self-development more powerful than nukes, the service personnel and people of the DPRK will firmly defend the security of the country and win the final victory of the cause of socialism, though all the formidable enemies in the earth may come in attack.

U.S., Nuclear War Fanatic
(KCNA) -- Trump is driving the situation on the Korean peninsula to the brink of a nuclear war, making such outcries as "the U.S. will not rule out a war against the DPRK".

From historical point of view, the U.S. criminal attempt to impose nuclear disaster upon the Korean nation is not of recent occurrence.

Even in the period of the 1950-1953 Korean war, the U.S. schemed to drop A-bomb on the Korean peninsula on at least 20 occasions.

After provoking the Korean war in 1950, the U.S. made desperate efforts to put into practice its plan for using A-bomb worked out before the war.

Whenever the war situation had gone against its will due to the powerful strike made by the Korean People's Army, the U.S. tried to use A-bomb in a bid to win the "honorable victory".

MacArthur, the then commander of the U.S. forces in the Far East, in secret telephone talks with the then U.S. President Truman claimed the use A-bomb in the Korean war.

He went the length of saying that according to his plan to drive the enemy into a tight corner, only an A-bomb was needed to destroy the one and only route from Manchuria of China and Vladivostok of Russia to Korea and it would take six months to restore it, as there were many tunnels and bridges along it.

And voices demanding the use of A-bomb in the war could be heard even from U.S. hard-line congressmen.

At that time, a British newspaper reported that B-29 and B-50 with the mark of atomic bomber in their tails frequented Yokoda air base in Japan.

In November 1950, Truman said in his statement that the U.S. would use A-bomb against north Korea. Timed to coincide with it, the U.S. imperialists deployed B-47 strategic bomber having A-bomb on board at its air base in Okinawa, Japan. And in December that year, they stored A-bombs on an aircraft carrier anchoring in the waters off Inchon, south Korea in top secrecy and kept its planes ready for action.

The U.S. imperialists dared not use A-bomb due to the strong protest of the international community, but such attempt was continued by those American warmongers like Eisenhower and Ridgway in the whole course of the Korean war.

All these facts go to prove that the U.S. is, indeed, the criminal mastermind of nuclear threat, the heinous nuclear war fanatic.

I don't recall that we "provoked" the Korean War. 75,000 North Koreans spilled across the 38th parallel and attacked to the south. We had a token force in Korea at the time--we were totally unprepared.

has imposed curfew in Tal Afar town, located west of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
for unknown reasons, a local source from Nineveh was quoted saying.

"IS imposed curfew in Tal Afar on Friday deploying its armed detachments in the town," the source, who preferred anonymity, told AlSumaria News.

The group, according to the source, "usually imposes curfew when it feels danger, which was repeated several times over the past few weeks."

On Thursday, powerful blasts reportedly occurred in the town amid heavy shelling by fighter jets. Smoke billows were seen coming out of the group’s so-called Islamic Police headquarters.

The international coalition, led by the U.S. launch air raids in and around the town in order to facilitate the battle for Iraqi troops, which announced earlier this week concluding arrangements ahead of the invasion.

The Iraqi army’s ninth armored division reportedly reached earlier this week to the boundaries of the town. An army official was quoted on Monday as saying that an army division was ordered to leave Mosul toward Tal Afar within preparations to retake the town, which has been set as the next target of operations after victory was declared in Mosul on July 10.

[Iran Press TV] Myanmar has deployed 500 soldiers to the Moslem-majority northern part of Rakhine state amid fears of another wave of crackdown on Rohingya Moslems.

Two military sources based in the northwestern state said the decision was taken after seven Buddhists were found dead in mountains near the town of Maungdaw last week.

One of the military sources said about 500 troops were sent to several towns, including Buthidaung and Maungdaw, near the border with Bangladesh on Thursday.

Residents claim the seven Buddhists were killed after they discovered a camp for Rohingya fighters.

The government blames the incident on "extremists," accusing the fighters of killing informants in the Moslem community.

Rakhine State police chief Colonel Sein Lwin said, "We have to increase security operations because the security situation has worsened, some Moslems and Buddhists have been killed by the myrmidons."

Trump won't rule out 'military option' in Venezuela
[Iran Press TV] US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
says he will not "rule out" military option in Venezuela to solve the ongoing crisis in the country.
Trump should just ignore it. No threat to us, just a shame.
"I’m not going to rule out a military option, we have many options for Venezuela," the president said on Friday at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, calling the current situation there "a mess."

Venezuela has been reeling from unrest for several months in a crisis caused by political disagreements -- including on the formation of the National Constituent Assembly -- and shortages of food and medicine and hyperinflation.

The opposition says the leftist government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is to blame for the crisis, but the government accuses foreign powers and "right-wing terrorists" for the unrest.

Maduro has reiterated that the assembly held supreme powers over all the three branches of the government.

Heroin seized from Jeddah-bound passenger at Islamabad airport
[DAWN] The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Thursday night seized at least a kilogramme of heroin from a passenger at the Benazir Bhutto
... 11th Prime Minister of Pakistain in two non-consecutive terms from 1988 until 1990 and 1993 until 1996. She was the daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, founder of the Pakistain People's Party, who was murdered at the instigation of General Ayub Khan. She was murdered in her turn by person or persons unknown while campaigning in late 2007. Suspects include, to note just a few, Baitullah Mehsud, General Pervez Musharraf, the ISI, al-Qaeda in Pakistain, and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, who shows remarkably little curiosity about who done her in...
International Airport, said officials.

Officials said that the passenger, Zabat ur Rehman, was due to travel on Pakistain International Airlines' (PIA) Jeddah-bound flight 741 when the drugs that were hidden in his clothes were discovered, officials said.

Rehman, a resident of Hangu, was then handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and transferred to ANF's office in Rawalpindi.

A First Information Report was later registered against him under the Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1997.

Child killed in Lalamusa by cars in Nawaz Sharif's motorcade

's 'homecoming' motorcade crushed a nine-year-old child to death in Lalamusa on Friday, DawnNews reported.

According to DawnNews, the child was among a crowd of supporters gathered to greet Nawaz Sharif as his motorcade passed through Lalamusa.

It seems that he strayed onto the road and was hit by one of the cars belonging to the Elite Force before multiple following cars ran over him without stopping.

According to eyewitnesses, the child departed this vale of tears while the vehicles passed over him. While a mobile health unit was accompanying the deposed prime minister's motorcade, bystanders said no car stopped to take stock of the child's condition.

The child's father lost consciousness, experiencing heart palpitations, after he saw his child's body on the road, DawnNews said.

Tando Adam man with intellectual disability killed on accusation of blasphemy
[DAWN] A man with an intellectual disability, who had earlier been sentenced under a blasphemy charge but later acquitted due to his condition, was killed in Tando Adam on Friday, police said.

The 32-year-old, Atta Mohammad Buriro, was rubbed out in the Kamal Buriro village near Tando Adam town.

Later in the evening, two attackers surrendered themselves to police and confessed to having killed Atta Mohammad "because he had committed blasphemy".

A police official confirmed the arrest of the two self-proclaimed killers, but told local news hounds that they were investigating the murder from different angles.

Sharing details of the incident, the official said that the victim, who had only recently been released from captivity, had been bathing at an irrigation watercourse when two pillion riders shot at him, killing him on the spot.

His body had been handed over to relatives after a postmortem examination.

Talking to media persons, SSP Dr Farrukh Lanjhar said the victim was under the trial of blasphemy charges and was released on a bail in the light of a medical report which declared him intellectual disable.

The provincial government media office in a statement said the Arclight airstrike was carried out late on Wednesday night.

At Least 19 Killed In Clashes Between Somali Militants
[RADIOSHABELLE] At least 19 bully boyz have been killed in daylong fighting in the western Somali region of Bakool.

The festivities Wednesday took place between al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
bully boyz and fighters loyal to former al-Shabaab leader Mukhtar Robow.

Officials said an al-Shabaab onslaught early in the morning forced Robow’s loyalists to retreat from Abal village. But they later returned to beat back their attackers in a midday counter offensive.

’A lot of people are dead’

Mohammed Hassan Fiqi, the acting president of Southwestern region, said, "They have repulsed al-Shabaab quite well; in the morning it appeared they were going to be overwhelmed but they counter attacked and defended their base."

Officials said 13 al-Shabaab fighters and six Robow loyalists were killed in the festivities. "A lot of people are dead," Fiqi told VOA Somali.

Security sources told VOA Somali that al-Shabaab spent months trying oust Robow. The former leader defected from the terrorist group in 2013. Since then the Islamist militia has been giving Robow ultimatums to leave the area and surrender.

Robow has also reportedly rejected offers from regional officials to leave the area and surrender to the Somali government.

$5 million bounty withdrawn

The U.S. and Somali government had offered a $5 million bounty for Robow since 2012. That reward was withdrawn in June after the U.S. removed him from the list of holy warriors after consultations with the Somali government.

Former Somali defense minister Abdihakim Mohamud Haji Fiqi, who welcomed Robow’s removal from the wanted list, said the Somali government must speed up talks with him.

"The government should take advantage of this split within al-Shabaab. It means a weakened strength," he said.

Haji Fiqi said it appears Robow left al-Shabaab after a disagreement with former leader Ahmed Abdi Godane, who was killed in a U.S. Arclight airstrike in September 2014.

[RADIOSHABELLE] On August 10, the Department of Defense conducted two kinetic strikes against al-Shabaab

bad boys. The operation occurred near the Banadiir region in southern Somalia.

Al-Shabaab has pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda and is dedicated to providing safe haven for terrorist attacks throughout the world. al-Shabaab has publicly committed to planning and conducting attacks against the US and our allies.

We continue to work in coordination with our Somali partners and allies to systematically dismantle al-Shabaab and help achieve stability and security throughout the region.

We will continue to assess the results of the operation and will provide additional information as appropriate. Specific details about the units involved and assets used will not be released in order to ensure operational security.

This strike was conducted within the parameters of the proposal approved by the President in March 2017, which allows the U.S. Department of Defense to conduct lethal action against al-Shabaab within a geographically-defined area of active hostilities in support of partner forces in Somalia.

US religion monitor welcomes release of Iranian Christian
[IsraelTimes] Maryam Naghash Zargaran, a Christian convert from Islam, was placed in durance vile ’simply due to her Christian faith,’ says US government watchdog

A US freedom-of-religion monitor has welcomed the release of an Iranian Christian who had worked with a once-imprisoned Iranian-American pastor freed in a January 2016 prisoner swap.

Maryam Naghash Zargaran, a Christian convert from Islam, was sentenced in 2013 to four years in prison on charges of acts against national security.
So she served her sentence, then was released. Being released is never a sure thing in such cases.
The US Commission on International Religious Freedom, a government watchdog, said Zargaran was imprisoned apparently in connection with her work at an orphanage alongside Iranian-American Christian pastor Saeed Abedini.

Zargaran, 39, was tossed in the calaboose
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
soon after Abedini was detained.

She "suffered unjustly in prison for more than four years simply due to her Christian faith," said USCIRF Commissioner Clifford May in a statement Thursday.

Zargaran was released from Evin prison in Tehran on August 1 "and was welcomed by friends and family," according to the Human Rights Activists news agency (HRANA), a US-based human rights
...which are usually open to widely divergent definitions...
organization monitoring events in Iran.

According to the HRANA, Zargaran went on hunger strike several times to protest her sentence and lack of medical care for her heart problems.

Abedini was released in January 2016 as part of a prisoner exchange that included The Washington Post’s Tehran correspondent Jason Rezaian, who were tossed into the calaboose in Iran for nearly 18 months, and former US Marine Amir Hekmati, all of whom have dual US-Iranian citizenship.

Writing Conference Canceled Because Of Too Many White People
[DAILYCALLER] A Minnesota writing conference was canceled Wednesday after people complained about the lack of diversity in the line-up of writers that were going to attend.

The organizers of the Loft Literary Center’s conference, aimed at teaching people how to write young adult novels, scrapped their plans when they learned that all the speakers but one were white, reports the Star Tribune.

"We have set a goal for ourselves to be inclusive and to work toward equity, and we didn’t think the conference would live up to that mission," Britt Udesen, executive director of the Loft, said Wednesday. "We made a mistake."

Twenty-two authors were set to speak at the event, but only one had an ethnic background. William Alexander, winner of a National Book Award, is a Cuban-American author. Udesen said the event was canceled in part because of the lack of diversity in the line-up, but also because not enough people were going to attend.

Udesen added that they invited more than 30 people of color to speak at the conference, but none accepted the invitation.

"It’s MEA [teachers’ conference] weekend, so a lot of local writers were unavailable, or a lot of them had just recently taught with us and they thought it would be repetitive," Udesen said.

One author criticized the children’s conference for not having enough diversity in the line up in general.

"The times I’ve been to that conference it has felt stiflingly white, definitely stiflingly older white woman, stiflingly suburban," young adult author Shannon Gibney said. "And because of that it hasn’t been a space where, as a newer writer of color, it is really useful for me."

#8  Ah yes - Shannon Gibney:

Shannon Gibney, an English faculty member at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, told MCTC student newspaper City College News in a video interview that three white students filed a complaint against her with the school after a discussion on structural racism in one of her communications classes.

In the interview, which was posted by the college newspaper to YouTube, Gibney says a white student interrupted her lesson to ask “Why do we have to talk about this in every class?” Another white male in the class then chimed in, Gibney told the student paper, saying he didn’t understand either. “It’s like people are trying to say that white men are always the villains, the bad guys. Why do we have to say this?” the student asked, according to Gibney.

Gibney said that when she told the students that they could file a complaint with the college’s legal affairs department if they were so unhappy with the discussion, they took her up on her offer. That led to an official reprimand from the school in early November, she claims.

UN rules out taking control of Sanaa airport
[Al Jazeera] The UN has indicated is not responsible for controlling Yemen's main airport, dismissing a call by a Saudi-led military coalition for the world body to do so.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
asked the UN on Thursday to take control of the airport in the capital Sanaa, which is in the territory controlled by the rival Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
fighters, Saudi state news agency SPA reported.

The coalition said it was ready to allow the reopening of the airport on the condition that the UN provided support for airport security.

It said the airport remained closed "due to concerns for the safety of civilian travel and commercial flights, as well as the smuggling of weapons by the Houthis".

On Friday, UN front man Stephane Dujarric called on the rival sides to allow humanitarian aid access, including through Sanaa airport which has been closed to all but limited UN flights for a year.

"[The airport] is not under UN control," Dujarric said on Friday.

"The parties to the conflict have the responsibility to ensure the protection of civilians and their access to humanitarian relief, including through the use of airspace and airport."

Economy
Inflation "Unexpectedly" Comes In Lower Than "Expected"
[Breitbart]. The cost of living in the United States rose by less than expected in July, a Labor Department report showed Friday.

The Labor Department’s consumer price index rose 0.1 percent compared to the previous month, less than the o.2 percent median forecast of economists. On an annual basis, prices rose 1.7 percent, below the forecast of 1.8 percent.

Core inflation, which excludes the more volatile food and energy components of the index, rose 0.1 percent. That was less than the 0.2 percent expected. Year-over-year, core prices were up 1.7 percent, in line with expectations.

The continued slowdown in inflation challenges the Fed’s view that lower-than-expected inflation would be "transitory." It could make it harder for the Fed to continue its plan to raise interest rates later this year.

The Fed targets 2 percent inflation but does not rely on the Labor Department numbers. It used a Commerce Department price index that will be updated at the end of August.

Venezuela's Maduro Sets Up "Truth Commission"
Venezuela's controversial constituent assembly has passed a law creating a "truth commission".

The head of the assembly said the law was a "powerful instrument to stifle violence, hatred and intolerance".

More than 120 people have been killed in the violence since anti-government protests began sweeping through the country on 1 April.

The government blames right-wing "terrorists" but the UN suggests dozens were killed by the security forces.

The law was passed unanimously by the constituent assembly, a body convened by President Nicolás Maduro.

#7  Spent a couple hundred dollars. Got a $100 bread machine and a $100 pasta making machine. Bread machine makes jams, too. 70% cheaper making the stuff than store prices.

After the home made bread sits on the shelf for three days I get a small allergic reaction vs store bought bread. Going to try to refrigerate from now on.

Pasta machine makes lots of different shapes and colored pasta. Good quality so far.

Bought a dehydrator too. Meets and vegetables dried over 24 hours last months reliably.

I am off the supermarket grid for long periods of time now.

In a statement, Federal Police Chief Lt. Gen. Shaker Jawdat, said "troops killed three IS bully boyz after besieging them in Hawi al-Kanisah district."

Moreover, "A workshop for manufacturing of katyusha rockets was found in Mesherfa region in northwest of Mosul."

In related news, the Nineveh police intelligence department announced seizing the biggest workshop used by IS to manufacture explosives in western Mosul.

"Troops confiscated the biggest workshop used by IS bully boyz to manufacture boom belts and rockets while searching for workshops, tunnels and prisons in the western flank of the city," Cap. Ahmed al-Obeidi told the Kurdish-owned BasNews on Friday, saying that the workshop was located in Sarjikhana region.

Hundreds of rockets and bombs were found inside, according to Obeidi.

On Thursday, Jawdat said 47 IS members have been killed and placed in durance vile

Cambodia PM gives ultimatum to Laos over 'invasion'
[Al Jazeera] The prime minister of Cambodia has issued a six-day ultimatum to Laos to pull back its troops who have allegedly trespassed into a border area or face a military response.

Hun Sen said on Friday that about 30 Laos soldiers crossed into Cambodian territory in April in northern Stung Treng province despite repeated requests by his government for them to leave the area.

He said he had been in touch with the government of Laos.

"I appeal to Laos Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith to withdraw troops from Cambodian territory without any conditions," Hun Sen said during a ceremony in the capital, Phnom Penh.

Military commanders have been ordered to deploy troops along with multiple rocket launchers to the border area, he said, giving Laos the "ultimatum" of pulling out by August 17.

Two Umm al-Fahm brothers indicted for supporting ISIS
[Ynet] Mahmoud and Naim Jabarin were enjugged by the Shin Bet and Israel Police in July after the two were discovered to be in contact with an ISIS recruiter--also from Umm al-Fahm--in Syria.

Two Israeli-Arab brothers from Umm al-Fahm have been locked away
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
and indicted for supporting ISIS, according to the Shin Bet, which cleared the information for publication Friday morning.

The two brothers--Mahmoud Jabarin, 25, and Naim Jabarin, 20--were arrested in July in a joint operation involving the Shin Bet and police.

During the course of a search at the brothers' residence, a Carlo submachine gun was also discovered hidden in the attic.

Authorities had received information that the elder Jabarin brother, Mahmoud, had intended to travel to Syria to join the organization. To that end, Jabarin was in contact with an ISIS recruiter in Syria who was also a former resident of Umm al-Fahm.

In addition to discovering numerous photographs, videos and other ISIS propaganda, the younger brother, Naim, is also alleged to have pledged loyalty to ISIS leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us...
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the Haifa District Court against the two brothers on Friday morning for contact with a foreign agent and illegal possession of a firearm.

The Shin Bet issued a statement on the arrests and indictments, saying, "The Shin Bet views Israelis who support the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
organization as a serious security threat, especially those who are in contact with organization operatives and desire to fight in its ranks.

"As such, the Shin Bet will continue to monitor suspects and take the necessary enforcement measures to prevent the dissemination of ISIS ideology in Israel and prevent Israelis from fighting with the organization."

ISIS is currently in widespread retreat and has been suffering a string of defeats on the battlefield. This reality stands in stark contrast to the image the organization is attempting to portray in an effort to recruit more potential combatants to its ranks.

UAE military chopper crashes in southern Yemen, kills 2
[Iran Press TV] A Black Hawk helicopter, belonging to the United Arab Emirate (UAE), has crashed in southern Yemen, killing two of its crew, a report says.

According to Yemen's official Saba news agency, the chopper crashed in the Amqeel area of Ar Rawdah district in the south-central Yemeni province of Shabwah on Friday afternoon, killing its pilot and co-pilot.

The report, citing an unnamed military official, added that four other crew members sustained injuries in the incident.

However,
the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach...
AFP quoted Colonel Turki al-Maliki, a front man for the Saudi-led military coalition engaged in a war in Yemen, as saying that no one was fatally injured in the crash as the pilot made an emergency landing in the area due to "a technical defect while returning from an operation in Yemen."

This Week in Guns, August 12th, 2017

By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com

The State's appetite for your personal property is insatiable:

Another failed Australian Gun "Buyback" You should read the text, as overseas guns smuggled in are to blame for the increasing number of firearms. No mention of the registration rate from the Gun Ban in 1996 being less than 20 percent.

Canada Free Press continues to assess the impact of forced entry by Canadian Mounties into homes to seize firearms in the wake of the High River flood of 2013. It seems the justification was not fully considered before Canadian law enforcement took action.

California Senator Kamala Harris this past week tried to rally her Kommie Troops by calling for a long overdue Assault Weapons Ban. The Australian Gun Ban, the River Incidents, and Harris show why you should never register your firearms. You should never buy firearms with anything other than cash, and never, ever buy firearms through the FFL system.

Ever.

Why? Because the Kommies are arming up. And they are like the state in their lust for the personal property of others.

Loads.

Rantburg's summary for arms and ammunition:

Pistol ammunition prices were mostly steady. Rifle ammunition prices were mostly steady.

Prices for used pistols were mixed. Prices for used rifles were mixed.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinians hurl stones at IDF soldiers in West Bank during night raids, one arrested
[IsraelTimes] Six said hurt in festivities; separately, security forces seize pistol, ammunition during raid in village of Katana

Dozens of Paleostinians hurled stones late Thursday night at IDF soldiers during a military operation in the West Bank village of Beit Rima.

The Israeli forces used riot control measures to disperse the rock throwers.

According to reports in Paleostinian media, six rioters were maimed in the festivities.

No Israelis were reported injured in the incident.

Also Thursday, security forces seized a pistol and ammunition during a raid in the Paleostinian village of Katana. A local resident suspected of owning the pistol was placed in durance vile
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
and taken to a nearby security facility for questioning.
This is why they are reduced to attacking up close with knives and cars.
Israel Demolishes Homes of Palestinian Attackers

[AnNahar] Israeli authorities have demolished three homes and sealed off a fourth of Paleostinians who carried out attacks that killed a soldier and a policewoman, the army said on Thursday.

Israel regularly carries out such demolitions, which it says act as a deterrent, but human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
groups and Paleostinians say they punish families for the actions of relatives.

Two houses were demolished in Deir Abu Mashaal, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and a third was sealed off, an army spokeswoman said. Village mayor Emad Zahran told AFP Israeli soldiers entered the area around 2:00 am (2300 GMT Wednesday) with bulldozers.

On June 16, three villagers carried out an attack outside Jerusalem's Old City that killed a policewoman. According to police, two of the assailants shot up a group of officers who returned fire, and a third stabbed the border policewoman a short distance away before being shot. All three attackers were killed.

A home in the West Bank town of Silwad was also demolished in response to an April 6 car-ramming attack near the Jewish settlement of Ofra that killed an Israeli soldier.

As Postulated Here Months Ago - WH Involved in Sky Harbor Clinton-Lynch meeting
[PJ] A lawsuit against the Justice Department has revealed documents that show there were email exchanges between the FBI and the DOJ -- and the DOJ and the Obama White House -- regarding the controversial tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton in June of 2016. Talking points were forwarded from the DOJ to the White House assistant press secretary, according to Jordan Sekulow, executive director of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).

Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request to the DOJ from the ACLJ, we now know that the FBI was not being truthful when it said that it had "no" documents about the secret meeting. We also know that the media was unenthusiastic about reporting on the scandal and even colluded with the Obama DOJ on ways to bury the story. Finally, we discovered that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch (AKA Elizabeth Carlisle) was using a secret email address to conduct official business.

Now the ACLJ is reporting that the White House was involved.

On the afternoon of June 29, 2016, two days after the Clinton-Lynch meeting, senior DOJ officials forwarded an email containing a transcript of AG Lynch’s press availability where she answered questions about the meeting directly to the Assistant Press Secretary and Spokeswoman at the Obama White House, Brandi Hoffine, that stated, "I’ve attached a document containing the transcript to this email, and I’ve included the text below. Please let me know if there is anything that needs to be corrected."
Nineteen minutes later, the same senior DOJ official, Melanie Newman ‐ the person who had taken point on the DOJ spin team ‐ emailed the FBI to "flag" the story about the meeting ‐ an email the Comey-led FBI told us last October didn’t exist. This email included the now redacted talking points ‐ key spin the Obama deep state still doesn’t want the public to see.

It was Comey himself who testified that the Clinton-Lynch meeting was the impetus for his now infamous public announcement exonerating Hillary Clinton. He testified before Congress, "[I]n an ultimately conclusive way, that was the thing that capped it for me, that I had to do something separately to protect the credibility of the investigation, which meant both the FBI and the Justice Department." We know that AG Lynch’s Deputy Chief of Staff contacted Comey’s Chief of Staff and Counselor, Jim Rybicki, with information that is still redacted on July 1st, just days before Comey’s public announcement.

We’ve also learned that within 2 minutes of the first press inquiry about the Clinton-Lynch meeting, senior DOJ officials had added Matthew Axelrod, the Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, into the conversation. Axelrod was the number two to Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and according to his bio, "took the lead in advising on crisis management within the DOJ, working closely with the White House, Congress, the FBI, and the media on DOJ’s most sensitive and high-profile matters."

So within 2 minutes of learning that the press had found out about the secret Clinton-Lynch meeting, senior DOJ officials knew they had a crisis on their hands.

But it gets even worse. We’ve also learned that Paige Herwig, Counselor to AG Lynch, was directly editing the still redacted talking points. Herwig is now the Deputy General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary for Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein ‐ the committee that is now investigating the Lynch matter. Before becoming Counselor to AG Lynch, Herwig was Special Assistant and Associate Counsel to President Obama.

The conflict of interest is astounding. Committee staff who are supposedly investigating this situation were the same people creating the talking points ‐ Obama loyalists investigating themselves.

The ACLJ is preparing direct legal action to get the unredacted documents, but it's frankly outrageous that the Sessions DOJ redacted them in the first place. The documents would reveal the talking points and spin that the DOJ concocted to manage the scandal.

#1  Sessions DOJ

Well, he's nominally the boss, but the Senate has been slow-rolling confirmations and Zero's holdovers are still running the clown show. ALL of these bastards should have been fired on day one.

#2  Trump needs to fire every Obama holdover and do recess appointments. Buys a year to clean out the agencies! Enough!!!

#3  It is the Perpetual State made up of Dems and Rinos for life, and the bureaucracy who have put impediments in Trump's path to keep him from doing the things he said he wanted to do during the campaign. The voters gave the Pubs the House, Senate and Presidency and still they are not reflecting the will of the people. What's next, a Constitutional Convention of States to bring about the needed change? Term limits, balanced budget, curbs on regulations, lobbying, and soft tyranny, government living by the rules they make, etc.

Islamic State used eBay to funnel money into U.S.: FBI
[NYDailyNews] ISIS used bogus eBay deals to funnel money to an operative in the U.S., according to a report Thursday.

Mohammed Elshinawy was locked away
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
in Maryland more than a year ago following a detailed FBI investigation, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing a 2016 indictment.

Elshinawy is accused of pretending to sell computer printers on eBay to get ISIS payments through PayPal.

The 30-something man, who pledged allegiance to the terror group, was part of a global network that operated from the UK to Bangladesh and was run by Siful Sujan -- a senior ISIS leader who was killed in a 2015 air strike, according to an FBI affidavit.

Elshinawy admitted to Sherlocks that he was told to use the funds for terror attacks in the U.S., although he never carried one out.

He pleaded guilty to supporting the jihadist group and is awaiting trial. Other alleged operatives were arrested in Britannia and Bangladesh, according to the affidavit.

Elshinawy allegedly took in $8,700 from ISIS. Elshinawy used the money to buy a laptop, a cell phone and a virtual private network to communicate with terrorists, the affidavit says.

An eBay front man told the Daily News that "eBay has zero tolerance for criminal activity on our marketplace and we worked with law enforcement to bring this individual to justice."

A PayPal spokeswoman told the Journal the company works "to prevent terrorist activity on our platform" and with law enforcement investigating suspicious activity.

Up To 50 Somali, Ethiopian Migrants Feared Dead
[RADIOSHABELLE] Up to 50 Somalis and Æthiopians are feared dead after a smuggler taking dozens of migrants colonists to Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
forced them back into the Arabian Sea off the nation’s coast, the UN migration agency said.

Survivors of the incident told the International Organization for Migration that the smuggler pushed them back into the water after he saw "authority types," according to Laurent de Boeck, the IOM Yemen Chief of Mission, in press statement posted to the group’s website.

"This is shocking and inhumane," de Boeck said. "The suffering of migrants colonists on this migration route is enormous. Too many young people pay smugglers with the false hope of a better future."

The migrants colonists had been hoping to reach the Gulf via Yemen to find better opportunities and escape the political instability and violence plaguing their nations.

The IOM estimates 55,000 migrants colonists left the Horn of Africa to come to Yemen since January. Smugglers work in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
