The number of Salafists living in Berlin rises to 950
[SPIEGEL ONLINE] [Google Translate]
According to the protection of the constitution, there are currently 950 Salafists living in Berlin - around twice as many as in 2011. Among them, according to the information, there are only a few refugees.

The Islamist-Salafist scene in Berlin according to findings of the protection of the Constitution currently 950 people, more than twice as many as in 2011. The proportion of violence-oriented among them grew even stronger, reported the "Tagesspiegel" , citing a situation analysis of Berlin Constitutional protection. Six years ago, it had been about a hundred people; To date, the number has more than quadrupled.

For the booklet entitled "Background to the members of the Salafist spectrum", the data for 748 Salafists were evaluated according to the report. In the overall picture, the impression arises that "the members of the Salafist spectrum in Berlin are above average".

Accordingly, men dominate with almost 90 percent. On average, they are 33.9 years old, one year older than women. Half of the scene members are Germans, of whom just under a third have a dual nationality. According to the report, the passports of Arab countries and Turkey dominate. "Conspicuous" according to the constitution protection, that among the purely foreign Salafists Russian nationals formed the largest group. Most of them are people from the North Caucasus - Chechens, Ingush, Dagestan and Ossetians.

The number of refugees in the Berlin Salafistenszene is low. The protection of the Constitution speaks of currently 27 people who arrived in Germany from 2014 and arrived in Berlin. They came mainly from Syria , Iraq , Afghanistan and Russia .

The Salafists are an Islamist movement that is strictly based on the early days of Islam . They demonize the customs of unbelievers and impious Muslims. Very different groups today call themselves Salafist.

Fusion GPS Founder: Not Sure If Steele Paid Sources for Trump Hoax Dossier
[Breitbart IS] TEL AVIV — In testimony released publicly last week, the founder of the controversial opposition research firm Fusion GPS claimed that he did not know whether the former British spy who compiled the infamous, largely discredited 35-page dossier on President Donald Trump paid any of his purported sources.

QUESTION: To the best of your knowledge, did Mr. Steele pay any of his sources or sub sources in the memoranda for information?

SIMPSON: I don’t know. I think there’s been a little bit of confusion I would like to clear up. Some people were saying that he was paying people for information. I don’t know whether he does or not, but that’s not basically how I understand field operations to work. You commission people to gather information for you rather than sort of paying someone for a document or to sit for an interview or something like that. That’s not how I understand it works.

#1  I don’t know.......but that’s not basically how I understand field operations to work.

Quite the opposite is actually true. There's no free petrol at the neighborhood BP either.

Why re-invent the wheel? Simply use existing MI6 sources and payment regimes. It's a one off, no one will be discovered..... or turn up dead, right ?

#3  I believe the count is growing on the Russian side as Vlad exacts his revenge. Safe to assume, if they worked for Steele on this one, they've worked for Steele on other projects as well. Not a great leap actually, and culling potential competition is a favorite Russian pastime.

Trump dossier probes now include possible State Department involvement
[Washington Examiner] Congressional investigations into the Trump dossier have so far been focused on the FBI and Justice Department. They still are, but now investigators are also looking into a possible Obama State Department role in the collection and dissemination of sensational and still-unverified allegations against candidate Donald Trump gathered by a former British spy working for the Hillary Clinton campaign.

In addition to having contacts in the Obama Justice Department and FBI, that former spy, Christopher Steele, was also well-connected with the Obama State Department. A book published in November by a correspondent at the Guardian, "Collusion: Secret meetings, dirty money, and how Russia helped Donald Trump win," noted that Steele's 2010 work on the World Cup soccer corruption investigation won him the trust not only of the FBI, but the State Department as well. From author Luke Harding:
The [soccer] episode burnished Steele's reputation inside the U.S. intelligence community and the FBI. Here was a pro, a well-connected Brit, who understood Russian espionage and its subterranean tricks. Steele was regarded as credible. Between 2014 and 2016, Steele authored more than a hundred reports on Russia and Ukraine. These were written for a private client but shared widely within the State Department and sent up to Secretary of State John Kerry and to Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, who was in charge of the U.S. response to the Ukraine crisis. Many of Steele's secret sources were the same sources who would supply information on Trump. One former State Department envoy during the Obama administration said he read dozens of Steele's reports on Russia. The envoy said that on Russia, Steele was "as good as the CIA or anyone." Steele's professional reputation inside U.S. agencies would prove important the next time he discovered alarming material, and lit the fuse again.
That fuse, of course, was the Trump dossier.
"Discovered" alarming material ?
It is hard for an outsider to discern clearly what is going on inside the dossier investigations on Capitol Hill. But it appears some investigators are looking beyond the 35 pages of reports done by Steele for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm working for the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee, that were published in January 2017 by BuzzFeed. They're looking into whether Steele did other reports about Trump, perhaps similar but not identical to what was in the dossier published by BuzzFeed. And they are looking into whether those reports made their way to the State Department. They're also seeking to learn what individual State Department officials did in relation to Steele, and whether there were any contacts between the State Department and the FBI or Justice Department concerning the anti-Trump material.

Skipping down a bit:

Simpson testified that Steele proposed telling the FBI, but investigators now believe Steele ultimately ended up in contact with the State Department, too.

Reporter Asks How Trump Can Be Healthy On McDonald's Diet - Trump's Doctor Has Stunning Three-Word Answer
[Daily Caller] Presidential physician Dr. Ronny Jackson told the press that he is in "excellent health" despite not exercising because he has "incredibly good genes."

Jackson answered a battery of questions Tuesday about the president’s health after examining him Friday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl asked Jackson, "Can you explain to me how a guy who eats McDonald’s and fried chicken and all the Diet Cokes and who never exercises is in as good of shape as you say he’s in?"

The doctor’s blunt answer to the question stunned the reporters in the room: "It’s called genetics. Some people have great genes."

Illegal Alien On His Police Killings: ‘I Wish I Had Killed More Of The ****kers'
[Townhall] A California judge has to clear the courtroom when a defendant refused to keep quiet during the trial proceedings. It’s been over three years since Luis Bracamontes, an illegal alien who had been arrested and deported multiple times in Arizona, went on a crime spree in Sacramento that ended with two police officers killed. Bracamontes is on trial for the murders and faces the death penalty, his wife, Janelle Monroy, could spend the rest of her life in prison.

The Sacramento Bee reported that Bracamontes showed no remorse, said he would escape and kill more people, and said one cop that he killed was a "coward." His lawyer has questioned his sanity and admitted to the jury that his client was responsible for the deaths of the two police officers, but hopes to save his life with additional evidence that could mitigate the circumstances; Bracamontes was high of methamphetamine when he committed the murders (via SacBee) [emphasis mine]:

Trump's judges threaten reproductive rights for generations to come
[Guardian] I was 19 years old when I first visited a Planned Parenthood health center. It was 1973, the same year the supreme court recognized a constitutional right to abortion in the landmark Roe v Wade decision. Decades later, who possibly could have thought that my daughter’s generation would still be fighting for the legal right for women to control our own bodies?

Anti-choice activists and lawmakers have been systematically chipping away at reproductive freedom at all levels of government, and too often doing so under the radar so that few will notice. In my travels I have met educated, successful women who have no idea of the restrictions being enacted in their own states. I’ll never forget a woman I met in Houston who, after I mentioned that Texas had passed a mandatory waiting period for abortions, responded: "No, I would know that." But we don’t always know ‐ and that’s part of the success of the anti-choice movement.

After years of this type of erosion, the Trump administration is now taking big and permanent swings at reproductive rights by nominating extreme anti-choice figures to serve as judges in lifetime positions.

The first attack came in the form of supreme court justice Neil Gorsuch, who has a disturbing record of ruling against women’s rights, but it goes far beyond the high court. For all levels of the federal judiciary, Republicans are pushing through Trump’s staunchly anti-abortion judges at a rapid clip and putting reproductive rights in jeopardy for generations to come.

These men (yes, his nominees are mostly men and overwhelmingly white) are the textbook definition of extreme. Consider Mark Norris, who Trump nominated for a lifetime position on a district court in Tennessee. Norris is an anti-choice Republican state senator who believes that a woman’s right to access abortion should be "very limited".

Trump's Not a Racist; He's a 'Scorch'
[PJMedia] I have news for Cory Booker -- now dubbed Cryin' Cory on Twitter, evidently because he got a little bent over some recent remarks of our president. Donald Trump's not a racist. He's a "scorch."

Wazzat, you ask?

As a rough contemporary of the president, hailing from the same metropolis, he from Queens and me from somewhat more tony Manhattan, parts of it anyway, I remember a certain type of schoolyard personality being called a "scorch." At least it went that way at Senator Robert F. Wagner Senior Junior High School, aka JHS 167, back in the fifties.

A scorch was the kind of kid who, when someone muffed an easy fly in stickball, would scream out, seemingly totally incensed, "You [f-word]ing [derogatory word for Puerto Rican], how could you [f-word]ing drop that [f-word]ing ball, you dumb [f-word]ing [derogatory word for Puerto Rican] idiot?!"

Of course, no one paid that much attention because it was just one of our scorches -- there were more than one, of all races and creeds -- mouthing off and, soon enough, he and the Puerto Rican kid were heading off to the local candy store together -- known, in my case, as Jesse's Jip Joint -- to share a cup of hot French Fries with way too much ketchup, as if they were best buddies. Indeed, often, they were.

Now we have a "scorch" as president. Some say this is a bad thing. I -- you may guess -- say no. A president who is a scorch is just what America needs after decades of escalating political correctness that, of late, has reached ultra-nauseating levels, particularly on our college campuses and among the mega-hypocritical (someone has to come out with a neologism that goes beyond mere hypocrisy) media, almost all of whom say scorch-like things when they don't think anyone's listening. It's human life.

Ah, you're saying, but he's monsieur le président. He must be diplomatique.

Oh, really? Like the foreign minister of Norway or some such?

How about someone who creates real change and actually makes things better for the people he helps govern in a democratic state, but on occasion says ugly things that might make you wince (or not)?
As past republican presidencies show, he'll going to attacked and compared to both a monkey and H*tler (but never to Stalin or Mao) regardless of what he says or does - so, what the hell? This one constantly distracts the "elites" attack bulls with his twitting muleta, making them miss the sword entirely

Swiss town denies passport to Dutch vegan because she is ‘too annoying'
h/t Instapundit
A Dutch vegan who applied for a Swiss passport has had her application rejected because the locals found her too annoying.

Nancy Holten, 42, moved to Switzerland from the Netherlands when she was eight years old and now has children who are Swiss nationals.

However, when she tried to get a Swiss passport for herself, residents of Gipf-Oberfrick in the canton of Aargau rejected her application.

Ms Holten, a vegan and animal rights activist, has campaigned against the use of cowbells in the village and her actions have annoyed the locals.

The resident’s committee argued that if she does not accept Swiss traditions and the Swiss way of life, she should not be able to become an official national.

Sarah Hoyt: If the Sh*thole Epithet Fits, Wear It
h/t Instapundit
Let’s forget for a moment whether Trump ever called any countries at all sh*tholes. It seems as though the only report we have of this is Dick Durbin’s and Dick Durbin is known to be a fabulist.

However, let’s for a moment contemplate the reactions of the world to this word that might or might not have been said.

Let’s, in particular, contemplate the reactions of the countries that thought themselves insulted.

Take Haiti for instance. Anderson Cooper took offense on behalf of Haiti.

...But, Mr. Cooper, the fact that the people of Haiti have survived enormous adversity doesn’t make the place where they live not a sh*thole. On the contrary. It makes it a sh*thole that takes an enormous amount of strength and endurance to survive, but it is still a sh*thole.

And that’s why their people try to come here by the droves. But the fact that it’s a sh*thole or that its people are suffering doesn’t obligate us to take immigrants from Haiti. Because we are not a sort of charity shelter that takes in the deserving. We’re a country that takes in people who might become productive citizens. In those terms, Haitians should be judged as everyone else: "What do you bring to America, and what can you do for America?"
Just to put it in proper perspective: Sarah came to USA from Portugal. And since then published a whole bunch of highly regarded SF/fantasy/history books, which I heartily recommend

Study: Dreamer-age immigrants more likely to commit violent crimes.
h/t Instapundit
[Powerline] Daniel Horowitz reports on a new study by criminologist John Lott. It finds that illegal aliens commit crimes at a disproportionate rate relative to their share of the population.

Lott’s study is based on data from the state of Arizona. His team examined data on all prisoners who entered the Arizona state prison from January 1985 through June 2017.

Of particular interest, given the current debate over DACA, is this finding:

While undocumented immigrants from 15 to 35 years of age make up slightly over 2 percent of the Arizona population, they make up almost 8 percent of the prison population. Even after adjusting for the fact that young people commit crime at higher rates, young undocumented immigrants commit crime at twice the rate of young U.S. citizens. These undocumented immigrants also tend to commit more serious crimes.

Thus, Lott observes:

Unfortunately, if the goal of DACA is to give citizenship to a particularly law-abiding group of undocumented immigrants, it is accomplishing the opposite of what was intended. DACA age eligible undocumented immigrants are 250% more likely to be convicted of crimes than their share of the population. Those too old for DACA status are convicted at a relatively low rate (45.7% more than their share of the Arizona population.

American rapper draws parallels between Black, Palestinian experiences
[Jpost] Grammy award-winning rapper Vic Mensa drew parallels between the black American experience and the Palestinian experience in an essay written for Time magazine.

In the essay published in Time on Friday, ahead of Martin Luther King Day, Mensa said he traveled last summer to "Palestine" with a group of African-American artists, scholars and activists organized by the Florida-based organization Dream Defenders.
Funny, I agree with him - IMO, BLM models itself on PLO

Trump cuts UNRWA funding amid Abbas assault
[Jpost] The Trump administration informed the UN Relief and Works Agency on Tuesday that it was cutting tens of millions of dollars in aid to the organization, amid an escalating diplomatic crisis between Washington and Ramallah, a US official told The Jerusalem Post.

President Donald Trump heeded the advice of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster ‐ in addition to that of the Israeli government ‐ and agreed to transfer $60 million to the UN body for now, as opposed to cutting all funding outright. But the remaining pledge of $65m. has been withheld "for future consideration," according to a letter sent to the agency.

While the policy decision came out of the State Department, which faced a UN dues payment this week, the question of how to proceed became an interagency debate among Trump’s top foreign policy staff and involved the president himself. Only one of those figures ‐ Nikki Haley, Trump’s ambassador to the UN ‐ advocated for a full and immediate aid cut.

UNRWA is a unique international body originally set up to assist hundreds of thousands of refugees displaced by the Arab war against the establishment of the State of Israel. Now, 70 years later, the organization offers aid the descendants of those refugees, numbering in the millions.

Informing UNRWA of its decision, the Trump administration called for a "fundamental reexamination" of the agency.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed alarm at the consequences of such a move. "I’m very concerned," he told reporters on Tuesday.
Hope you'll have many more reasons to be concerned in the future, Tony

Iraqi militia dies in Babylon
Babylon (Iraqinews.com) – A senior leader with al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) was killed on Tuesday in a shooting incident near his house in Babylon governorate, a security source was quoted as saying.

In an exclusive interview with Baghdad Today, the source said, “Unidentified gunmen killed Amjad al-Jabouri, a senior leader with the Shiite Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq group, after opening fire at him near his house at al-Haswa area in Babylon.”

“One of Jabouri’s companions was injured in the shooting,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said.

“The assassins fled the scene immediately after the attack,” the source added, noting that security forces carried the dead body to the forensic medicine department, while the injured was moved to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Popular Mobilization Forces, an alliance of volunteer Shiite paramilitary forces, have actively backed the Iraqi government’s military campaign against IS since 2014, when they were formed upon a top Shiite clergy edict to counter the Sunni Jihadist group.

Obama’s ICE Didn’t Follow Procedure For Checking Illegal Immigrants’ Ties to Terrorism
[FREEBEACON] During the B.O. regime, Immigration and Customs Enforcement was not following proper procedures when checking if illegal aliens were known terrorists, jeopardizing national security, according to an audit.

The office of inspector general found that between 2013 and 2015, ICE was not screening illegal immigrants colonists who had been released for terrorist ties. Every single case of a suspected terrorist reviewed by the inspector general included errors, where ICE officials were not in compliance with security standards.

"ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) faces challenges in implementing the Known or Suspected Terrorist Encounter Protocol (KSTEP) screening process, which is used to identify aliens who may be known or suspected terrorists," the inspector general said. "Although ERO uses KSTEP to screen all aliens who are in ICE custody, ERO policy does not require continued screening of the approximately 2.37 million aliens when released and under ICE supervision."

Between 2013 and 2015 there were 142 cases of illegal immigrants colonists who were detained and identified as "known or suspected terrorists." The inspector general reviewed 40 of those cases.

"All 40 files had at least one instance of noncompliance with KSTEP policy, generating greater concerns regarding the population of aliens screened and determined to have no connections to terrorism," the inspector general said.

In addition to not following security protocols, the majority of ICE field offices do not have access to the Department of Homeland Security's classified networks, which enables them to "communicate about derogatory information related to known or suspected terrorists."

"As a result, ERO may be missing opportunities to identify, take into custody, communicate status of, and make decisions on those aliens who pose the highest risk to national security and public safety," the inspector general said.

Of the 40 cases reviewed under the audit, nearly half were missing required background checks while the illegal alien was detained.

"ERO is to conduct separate biographic and biometric queries on every alien taken into custody and/or released," the inspector general said. "However,
there's no worse danger than telling a mother her baby is ugly...
in these instances, at least one of the required queries was either run by non-ERO personnel, was not performed while the subject was in ICE custody, or was not applied."

The president's vital signs
[AXIOS] Trump requested a cognitive exam during the session. Trump scored 30/30 on a test of his cognitive ability — "The Montreal Cognitive Assessment" which screened for Alzheimer's and dementia, among other illnesses. "I have no concerns about his cognitive ability," Jackson said.

Trump is 6'3" and weighs 239 pounds. Jackson added that he discussed a diet plan with the president that would include a smaller amount of carbohydrates and fats. A reasonable goal is for Trump to lose 10–15 pounds in the next year, he said. "The president has acknowledged that he'd be healthier if he lost a few pounds."

The president's blood pressure is 122/74, a normal level, and he has a resting heart rate of 68 beats per minute.

Trump's medications: Crestor, Aspirin, Propecia — to prevent male pattern hair loss — and a multivitamin.

"His cardiac health is excellent

Trump's physical exam lasted over 4 hours and involved 12 medical consultants.

The president told Press Secretary Sarah Sanders to let Jackson answer all questions about Trump's health and not to usher him off the stage.

The First Lady will work with Trump's doctor to develop an aerobic exercise routine for the president. ""Being on the golf course, there is a certain amount of exercise involved in that," Jackson added.

White House Press has mental illness

[FoxNews] White House doctor peppered with questions as reporters hunt for evidence of a Trump illness

White House physician Ronny Jackson was slammed with an onslaught of questions regarding President Trump's health in a bizarre press briefing on Tuesday that raised eyebrows as the press fished for maladies.

Jackson said Trump was in "excellent health" after conducting the president's physical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Friday, but the positive results weren't enough for the reporters in attendance.

Jackson answered questions for more than 50 minutes, running the gamut from the odd to the conspiratorial. White House correspondents asked about everything from whether Trump wears dentures to how to gauge his mental health.

President Trump is berated on a regular basis for his alleged eating and sleeping habits, and many reporters seemed decidedly disappointed or confused by the conclusion that he'd been given a clean bill of health.

The Washington Free Beacon'a managing editor, David Rutz, sarcastically impersonated a White House correspondent on Twitter, joking, "But the president will eventually die, correct?"

Jackson mentioned that he was told by Trump directly to answer as many questions as possible, and the reporters on hand took full advantage. One reporter even asked if the president was addicted to drugs. That elicited a smirk from Jackson, who said Trump isn't addicted to anything.

Erdogan vows to fight US-backed forces with rebels in Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey...
announced that Syrian opposition fighters will support The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
’s planned military operation against Kurdish militia forces in Syria’s Afrin region, speaking from Ottoman Turkish Parliament in Ankara on Tuesday.

His audience of AK party members cheered and chanted as Erdogan announced Turkey’s plan to "demolish terror nests one by one, starting from Afrin and Mumbij".

Speaking on the US administration, Erdogan said, "Those who stabbed us in the back and appear to be our allies and terror-supporting politician lookalikes cannot prevent it."

The Ottoman Turkish leader has repeatedly talked about impending military operations in Syria’s Afrin and Manbij regions. His warnings follow the US-led coalition’s decision to build a 30,000-strong border force with the help of the Kurdish YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Guardian adds:
Ottoman Turkish troops and tanks near the Syrian border are making final plans to attack the US military’s Kurdish partners inside northern Syria as tensions between Ankara and Washington near unprecedented levels.

The area most likely to be invaded by Ottoman Turkish forces is a 60 mile-stretch lying between the towns of Afrin and Manbij, one of the most bitterly contested pockets of territory during the Syrian conflict. The US-raised force is proposed for north-east Syria, which Ankara is not thought to be targeting for a ground attack.

The move seems aimed to strike a symbolic wedge between the north-east and a smaller Kurdish presence along Syria’s north-west border. It would also stake a new marker for relations between Erdogan and the Trump administration, which have steadily deteriorated over the Kurdish issue.

Erdogan said he had not consulted Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
on any planned operations.

"Last time we spoke, he said he would get back to me. He still didn’t. So I’m not planning to call him," Erdogan said, and urged NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....

And start economic sanctions - let the Turks learn that their electing this bozo is going to cost them, personally. NO aide, no spares, no free trade. If they want to be their own sultanate, then they get to do it without us. If the Russians are stupid enough to think they will not eventually get backstabbed, then they dont know the Turks.

Take that money and throw it into Kurdistan, bases in Crete (Brit airbase areas) and Crete.

Then I would want to know about the effort required to produce a plateful of buggy nutriment versus hitting a cow over the head and slitting its throat. Because if the effort is great for a wonderful result, then like the price tags at the grocrey store that show the price per ounce, it may be too high for any society that can afford to grow great herds of steak and roast chicken.

Bomb planted at West Bank holy site, is detonated safely
[IsraelTimes] After controlled blast, some 1,000 Jewish worshipers visit Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, as residents riot and stone their buses

Army sappers detonated a cellphone-operated bomb that was apparently planted by Paleostinians at the entrance to the Joseph’s Tomb holy site in the city of Nablus early Tuesday morning, ahead of a visit by approximately 1,000 Jewish worshipers, the army said.

There were no injuries or significant damage caused by the controlled blast, and the pilgrimage to the shrine continued as planned, an Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said.

The 1,000 or so worshipers were escorted to Joseph’s Tomb ‐ believed to be the burial site of the biblical patriarch ‐ by IDF soldiers, border guards and Israel Police officers, the army said.

According to the military, as the group was leaving the area, local residents began to throw rocks at the troops and the buses, causing no injuries, but some light damage to the vehicles.

One of the rioters was nabbed
Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up!
, the army said.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, IDF troops arrested 10 Paleostinian suspects in predawn raids. Two illegally owned guns were confiscated by Israeli soldiers in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.

Pilgrimages by Israeli or foreign civilians to the Joseph’s Tomb holy site are frequent catalysts for violence. In the past, Nablus residents have attacked the groups visiting the site with rocks, Molotov cocktails and rifle fire. As a result, those interested in visiting the site require a military escort.

The left-wing B’Tselem rights group has condemned the routine practice, saying that "Israel has preferred the interest of Jewish worshipers over the rights of the Paleostinian residents, their security, their safety and their daily routine."

In August, two Paleostinians were shot and maimed by Israeli troops who were providing protection to Jewish worshipers visiting Joseph’s Tomb.

In October 2015, Paleostinian rioters set fire to the holy site. It was restored and reopened a few weeks later.

#1  Zero outrage.

Home Front: Politix
Victor Davis Hansen: President Nobama
[VDH Private Papers] Trump is commonsensically undoing, piece by piece, the main components of Obama’s legacy.

Donald Trump continues to baffle. Never Trump Republicans still struggle to square the circle of quietly agreeing so far with most of his policies, as they loudly insist that his record is already nullified by its supposedly odious author. Or surely it soon will be discredited by the next Trumpian outrage. Or his successes belong to congressional and Cabinet members, while his failures are all his own. Rarely do they seriously reflect on what otherwise over the last year might have been the trajectory of a Clinton administration.

Contrary to popular supposition, the Left loathes Trump not just for what he has done. (It is often too consumed with fury to calibrate carefully the particulars of the Trump agenda.) Rather, it despises him mostly for what he superficially represents.

To many progressives and indeed elites of all persuasions, Trump is also the Prince of Anti-culture: mindlessly naïve American boosterism; conspicuous, 1950s-style unapologetic consumption; repetitive and limited vocabulary; fast-food culinary tastes; Queens accent; herky-jerky mannerisms; ostentatious dress; bulging appearance; poorly disguised facial expressions; embracing rather than sneering at middle-class appetites; a lack of subtlety, nuance, and ambiguity.

In short Trump’s very essence wars with everything that long ago was proven to be noble, just, and correct by Vanity Fair, NPR, The New Yorker, Google, the Upper West Side, and The Daily Show. There is not even a smidgeon of a concession that some of Trump’s policies might offer tens of thousands of forgotten inner-city youth good jobs or revitalize a dead and written-off town in the Midwest, or make the petroleum of the war-torn Persian Gulf strategically irrelevant to an oil-rich United States.

Yet one way of understanding Trump ‐ particularly the momentum of his first year ‐ is through recollection of the last eight years of the Obama administration. In reductionist terms, Trump is the un-Obama. Surprisingly, that is saying quite a lot more than simple reductive negativism. Republicans have not seriously attempted to roll back the administrative state since Reagan. On key issues of climate change, entitlements, illegal immigration, government spending, and globalization, it was sometimes hard to distinguish a Bush initiative from a Clinton policy or a McCain bill from a Biden proposal. There was often a reluctant acceptance of the seemingly inevitable march to the European-style socialist administrative state.

Raids across Germany target suspected Iranian spies
[DW] Germany-wide police raids have been carried out on suspected Iranian spies, thought to be members of the al-Quds Brigade. Iran has been linked in the past to spying, assassinating dissidents and targeting Israelis.

German authorities on Tuesday conducted searches of homes and businesses belonging to 10 suspected Iranian spies. The Federal Prosecutors Office ordered the searches after receiving a tip from Germany's domestic intelligence agency.

The suspects are believed to have spied on persons and institutions "on behalf of an intelligence entity associated with Iran," the prosecutor's office said.

No arrests were made during the raids, which were carried out in Baden-Wurttemberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Bavaria and Berlin.

The German magazine Focus, which first reported on the searches, said that the 10 individuals were suspected members of the al-Quds Brigade, the external operations arm of the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC).

Iranian agents are believed to regularly spy on Israelis, Jewish institutions, Iranian dissidents and other targets abroad. Focus reported that the 10 persons are suspected of spying on Israeli and Jewish targets. Germany authorities have not confirmed the report.

Long history of Iranian espionage
Earlier this month, Germany summoned Iran's ambassador in Berlin after a 31-year-old Pak student was convicted of spying for Iran on Social Democratic Party (SPD) politician Reinhold Robbe. Robbe was the former head of the German-Israel Friendship Society.

The Islamic Theocratic Republic and its Lebanese Shiite ally, Hezbollah, have long been accused of carrying out multiple deadly attacks on Jewish and Israeli targets abroad.

Last April, federal prosecutors filed charges against two men suspected of spying on the opposition People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK) on behalf of Iranian intelligence. The Gay Paree-based MEK seeks to overthrow Iran's theocratic government and is widely disliked inside the country, where it is labeled a terrorist organization. The Iranian government blamed the group for stirring up unrest earlier this month. Formerly listed as a terrorist organization by the EU and United States, the MEK has also been accused of carrying out covert operations on behalf of Israel and the United States.

Iran has been linked to the liquidation of multiple dissidents, mostly Kurds and MEK members, throughout Europe. In 1992, four Iranian-Kurdish opposition leaders were assassinated in a Berlin restaurant by Iranian agents. The liquidation in Berlin, and another three years earlier against Kurdish dissidents in Austria, occurred at a time when the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan was leading a low-level insurgency in Iran.
The Times of Israel adds:
Israel’s Ambassador to Germany, Jeremy Issacharoff, said Israel had "bolstered security" at the embassy and that Israelis were "warned" about the incident.

A Quds Force-affiliated agent pleaded guilty in 2012 to plotting to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, DC.

In 1992 three Iranian-Kurdish opposition leaders and their translator were rubbed out at a Greek restaurant in Berlin. The shooting was believed to have been ordered and carried out by Iran. Two Iranian men and a Lebanese citizens were found guilty of the crime and sentenced to life in prison. Two of them were later released from prison in 2007.

The same year a series of kabooms in Bankgok, Thailand, injured five people in what Thai authorities said was a failed attempt
Curses! Foiled again!
to target Israeli diplomats. Two Iranians were locked away
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
and convicted over the bombings, including one who lost his legs when a grenade he threw at pursuing police bounced back at him. Arrest warrants were issued for several other Iranian nationals, some of whom were believed to have escaped to Iran.
A subsequent Times of Israel article has more:
The Mossad intelligence service provided critical information that led to raids on the homes of suspected Iranian spies throughout Germany, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reported on Tuesday.

According to the Kan report, the al-Quds Force had tried to recruit non-Iranian Shiites ‐ primarily those with European citizenship ‐ to establish a terror cell to carry out attacks throughout the continent.

Israel’s Ambassador to Germany, Jeremy Issacharoff, told Kan that "the affair should raise a red flag not only in Germany, but in all of Europe."

"The time has come for the Germans and the Europeans to understand what is hidden behind the Iranian smile of recent months," the ambassador added.

Ex-C.I.A. Officer Suspected of Compromising Chinese Informants Is Arrested
[NYT] WASHINGTON ‐ A former C.I.A. officer suspected by investigators of helping China dismantle United States spying operations and identify informants has been arrested, the Justice Department said on Tuesday. The collapse of the spy network was one of the American government’s worst intelligence failures in recent years.

The arrest of the former officer, Jerry Chun Shing Lee, 53, capped an intense F.B.I. inquiry that began around 2012, two years after the C.I.A. began losing its informants in China. Investigators confronted an enduring mystery: How did the names of so many C.I.A. sources, among the agency’s most dearly held secrets, end up in Chinese hands?

Some intelligence officials believed that a mole inside the C.I.A. was exposing its roster of informants. Others thought that the Chinese government had hacked the C.I.A.’s covert communications used to talk to foreign sources of information.

Skipping down a bit:

Mr. Lee, who left the C.I.A. in 2007, has been living in Hong Kong and working for a well-known auction house.
"Left the C.I.A. in 2007...? Yes of course.

The report said U.S. officials have also had concerns about a counterintelligence assessment that Murdoch was lobbying for a “high-profile construction project” funded by the Chinese government in Washington, D.C.

The project was first approved under the Bush administration in 2003. Then-Vice President Joe Biden and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton presented then-Chinese President Jiang Zemin with a model of the project in January 2011. Following an agreement by then-President Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping, there was a groundbreaking ceremony in October 2016.

However, since then, the project has been deemed a national security risk because it inclded a 70-foot-tall white tower that could potentially be used for surveillance, according to the report. The report did not say when the project was deemed a national security risk.

DHS preparing to arrest leaders of sanctuary cities
[WashingtonTimes] Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts.

"The Department of Justice is reviewing what avenues may be available," Ms. Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Her confirmation came after California’s new sanctuary law went into effect Jan. 1, severely restricting cooperation the state or any of its localities could offer.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Tom Homan says those policies put his officers and local communities at more risk because they have to arrest illegal immigrants out in the community.

Mr. Homan told The Washington Times last July that he wanted to see local officials charged as complicit in human smuggling if they shielded illegal immigrants through sanctuary policies.

Mr. Homan repeated that demand in an interview with Fox News earlier this year, setting off a firestorm of criticism.

NFL’s kneeling comes to abrupt halt: Protesters miss playoffs
[WASHINGTONTIMES] NBC plans to televise any players who refuse to stand for "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl, but there may be nothing to show.

It appears that NFL players are no longer taking a knee during the national anthem, namely because none of the teams with still-active protesters has qualified for the postseason.

By the end of the regular season, only five teams featured at least one player regularly sitting or kneeling on the sidelines for the anthem: the Seattle Seahawks, the the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
49ers, the Miami Dolphins, the New York Giants and the Oakland Raiders.

None of those franchises made the playoffs, even though four of the five did so in the previous season, leading to speculation about whether the take-a-knee protests wound up dragging down team performance along with TV ratings.

"By their actions, the kneelers brought controversy into the locker rooms, and this kind of distraction is always going to be detrimental to team cohesiveness," said Robert Kuykendall, a front man for the conservative corporate watchdog 2ndVote.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A key Pak politician and the leader of Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam

Fazal Maulana Fazlur Rehman
Deobandi holy man, known as Mullah Diesel during the war against the Soviets, his sympathies for the Taliban have never been tempered by honesty ...
has slammed the policymakers of the country regarding the growing role of India in Afghanistan.

Maulana Fazl reportedly made the remarks during his speech in the National Assembly of Pakistain on Monday.

"The United States do not trust us and that is why instead of Pakistain, there is presence of India in Afghanistan," he was quoted as saying in a report by The News.

Referring to the policy statement of Pakistain’s defense minister Khurram Dastgir, Maulana Fazl said that the policymakers of Pakistain believe that the meaning of isolation was that the United States and the western world was not with the country.

"But isolation means that we are not in good relations with neighbouring countries," he added.

This comes as the Pak officials have long been criticizing regarding the growing role of India in Afghanistan and in some stances have accused the security institutions of India and Afghanistan for plotting and destructive activities in Pakistain.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
the Afghan officials reject the allegations and insist that New Delhi has played a key role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
regime.

On the other hand, the US officials have also hailed the constructive role of India in Afghanistan and insist on further key role and contribution of India as well as Pakistain for the implementation of the new US strategy.

Al-Suwaidi said two Qatari warplanes twice flew dangerously close to the UAE airliners as they descended toward Bahrain International Airport in separate incidents on Monday, and could be seen by the pilots and passengers.

"It’s a very obvious violation," he said by phone.

Al-Suwaidi said the UAE aircraft had been intercepted in airspace managed by Bahrain. He refused to say whether their flight paths had taken them across Qatar, the most common route from the UAE to Bahrain.

The UAE has banned Qatari aircraft from using its airspace as part of the restrictions imposed since June. Qatar has not reciprocated.

Houthis threaten to execute prisoners
The Yemeni pro-Iranian group has threatened to execute military detainees, who are loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, on charges of participating in the uprising the latter has called for last month and ended with his death and abuse of his relatives and hundreds of members of his party, according to security sources opposed to Houthi militias in Sanaa.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the Houthi group continued mobilizing people for the fighting front at the level of the provinces and the directorates that fall under its control, in an attempt to assign their ranks on various fronts while the National Army, which is supported by Saudi-led coalition forces continue their progress.

The sources said that the leader of the group, who is appointed deputy coup minister of interior Abu al-Karar al-Khaiwani, gathered Sunday about 600 of the military detainees loyal to the former president in the central prison in Sanaa and threatened to execute them.

The Houthi leader asked the detainees to write down their confessions on the roles they played during the confrontations between the militias and the former president's guard in several political districts in December, the sources added. He told them to include in their confessions the names of the leaders from whom they were receiving direct instructions.

According to the sources, who spoke to Asharq Al-Awsat and requested to remain anonymous for security reasons, the Houthi official gave orders to subject Houthis to torture and extract confessions from them by force.

Leader of the Houthi so-called Supreme Political Council Saleh al-Samad issued what he called a "general amnesty" for the civilian participants in the uprising of the former president, whom the group described as "sedition of treacherous militias," exempting soldiers, most of whom were among the escorts of the houses of Saleh and his relatives and headquarters for his party, General Peoples Congress (GPC).

The Houthi group has released during the past two weeks some civilian detainees and pro-Saleh tribal leaders while activists from the GPC say that about 2,000 members of the GPC are still being held by Houthi militias in secret prisons in Sanaa and cities controlled by them.

San Francisco Is A Literal S***hole, Public Defecation Map Reveals
[DalyCaller] There is an ongoing debate currently going on in the country about what locations can be classified as shitholes. The debate sprung from a report that Donald Trump referred to some third world countries as "shitholes" in a meeting with lawmakers last week.

While the debate might rage on as to what constitutes a "shithole" of a country, one thing is not up for debate: the American city of San Francisco is a shithole.

We know this thanks to an interactive map created in 2014 called Human Wasteland.

The map charts all of the locations for human excrement "incidents" reported to the San Francisco police during a given month. The interactive map shows precise locations of the incidents by marking them with poop emojis:

The project shows that the heatmap for poo is most heavily concentrated directly in downtown San Francisco.

According to the SF Weekly, San Francisco has a major shithole problem:

St. George Alley can harbor up to 30 piles of poop per week, Department of Public Works employee Steve Mahoney told SFist. That’s exceptional. But it also illustrates a seemingly intractable problem in a city with limited public restrooms, constricted homeless services, and a line of filthy JCDecaux bunker toilets that often sit unused.

So if you live in San Francisco and are offended by Trump’s comments, just watch where you’re stepping.

New California Declares Independence From Rest Of State
[SACRAMENTO.CBSLOCAL] With the reading of their own version of a Declaration of Independence, founders of the state of New Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, took the first steps to what they hope will eventually lead to statehood.

To be clear, they don’t want to leave the United States, just California.

"Well, it’s been ungovernable for a long time. High taxes, education, you name it, and we’re rated around 48th or 50th from a business climate and standpoint in California," said founder Robert Paul Preston.

The state of New California would incorporate most of the state’s rural counties, leaving the urban coastal counties to the current state of California.

"There’s something wrong when you have a rural county such as this one, and you go down to Orange County which is mostly urban, and it has the same set of problems, and it happens because of how the state is being governed and taxed," Preston said.

#5  Will never happen without bloodshed. The cities have to have the resources of the rest of California to survive. Without the water being pulled from the north, LA and San Diego would be abandoned in a year and returned to the desert fully in two.
There is no electricity generation and no food producing areas. Without the rest of California, the cities would die.

Ironically the cities are becoming what the Western Roman empire was before the full collapse. More and more resources were being pulled from the East to prop up the West and when the final barbarian pushes came, the East cut them lose as they couldn't afford to keep them.

The US is starting to be in that situation with the large blue cities. The drain on the coffers is becoming more than bearable and cutting them lose to die on their own is becoming more and more realistic for the rest of the US.

#8  * The coastal elite part of California might want to separate because the part that wants to split is poor and to be honest probably sucks up more money from the public coffers (lots of roads that need to be paved, etc).
* The coastal elites would not want to give up control of environmental stuff. They've screwed southern California over the Smelt before, I find it hard to imagine environmentalists would willingly give up that control.
* The coastal elites would lose their border with Mexico, so they could virtue signal about Sanctuary cities all they want as the problem slowly goes away in their area.
* Central Coast tends to be conservative outside of SLO. They might have to be given concessions to join up with the coastal elites in order to keep Blue California a single uninterrupted state.
* Such a split could possibly hasten the exit of Blue California from the USA.

Without it, the southern cities are done. Quite simply they can't survive without sucking up all the water from the northern sites. There isn't enough reservoirs in the south (thanks to environmentalists) and the extra water from the Tahoe area is being pumped into the swamps to "save the spelt".

Google refers to Republican senator David Perdue as 'lying, unscrupulous politician'
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Google referred to Sen. David Perdue on Tuesday as a "lying, unscrupulous politician" when the Republican senator’s name was searched.

The "knowledge graph" on the right side of the search page said "David Alfred Perdue Jr. is an American businessman and lying, unscrupulous politician. He is a junior United States Senator from Georgia, having been elected in 2014 to the seat previously held by Saxby Chambliss, who retired."

Wikipedia was cited as the source, but the senator’s Wikipedia page did not use such wording as of Tuesday morning.

"Information that appears in the Knowledge Graph comes from a variety of sources from across the web, and we typically require factual validation from multiple sources. Occasionally, we can get this wrong, and in this case, our system was able to address the issue quickly," a Google spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.

Gender Studies Coordinator’s Checklist Determines Your Level of Support for White Supremacy
[LEGALINSURRECTION] “dismantling the master narratives of white supremacy within our colleges and universities”
I think I've decided I'm a White Supremacist. Being white, I know that the white violent crime rate is considerably less than half the black crime rate. Nationwide, black students graduated high school at a rate of 69 percent; Hispanics graduated at 73 percent; whites graduated at a rate of 86 percent. I know that whites have 60 percent of science and tech degrees; ten percent are Hispanic, and 8.5 percent are black.

That's not to say that white culture doesn't produce any underachievers, only that black and (some, not all) Hispanic cultures are more likely to. In my opinion, which is dismissable because I'm an old crank, it's the logical outgrowth of a culture where being considered dangerous is regarded as something to be proud of.

Being a White Supremacist seems to involve not being armed and dangerous, but being courteous and cooperative with others, and eschewing the Seven Deadly Sins.

SSP Rao Anwar escapes suspected suicide attack in Karachi
[GEO.TV] Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar has escaped a suspected suicide kaboom on his vehicle in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, police officials told Geo News on Tuesday.

Speaking to Geo News, Anwar confirmed that he remained unhurt in the attack in the city's Malir Cantonment area on Tuesday evening. He said the kaboom took place when attackers hit his armoured personnel carrier (APC).

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has taken notice of the attack and ordered police officials to submit a report on the incident.

This is not the first time Anwar has been the target of an liquidation attempt.

In May 2015, assailants targeted his police convoy in a gun-and-grenade attack. The police personnel escaped unhurt, while five attackers were killed in retaliatory gunfire in that incident.

His convoy was again attacked near his residence in the Malir Cantt area in June 2015. The coppers remained unhurt while all attackers were again killed in retaliatory fire.

Hillary Guest-Edits December Issue of Teen Vogue Magazine
I was minding my own business in the haircut place, when I spotted a magazine with Hillary on the cover. Not surprising. However, I had not heard of the magazine Teen Vogue, but Hillary was running the show for Issue IV.
[TruthRevolt] Hillary Clinton, with little else to do besides promote her self-serving election postmortem titled What Happened?, recently passed the time by guest-editing an issue of the radically political Teen Vogue. Thirty-six of the 97 pages of the mag were devoted to - what else? - Hillary herself.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Hillary commissioned several articles about herself. Teen Vogue writer Lauren Duca, infamous for having her butt handed to her by Tucker Carlson in an appearance on his show a year ago, declares in one article that "zooming out on Hillary’s 2016 loss reveals the broader contours of women’s oppression," despite the fact that women in America are not oppressed.

"An IS bully boy died after being infected with bird flu," the source told AlSumaria News, marking it as "the first case recorded in Mosul hospitals."

The medical staff, according to the source, who preferred anonymity, "evacuated al-Shifaa hospital and vaccinated the patients at the hospital."

Earlier on the day, medical sources were quoted saying that al-Salam Educational Hospital in eastern Mosul recorded three deaths with the disease, while the fourth case was recorded at al-Shifa Hospital in the western region of the city. Medical workers raised alert in the city, especially with drugs needed to counter the disease short of demand. He warned that the situation makes more deaths possible.

Jaysh Al-Islam claims they recaptured all lost territory in East Ghouta town
[ALMASDARNEWS] Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful...
claimed this week that their forces were able to recover all of the territory they lost to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) inside the East Ghouta town of al-Nashabiyah.

According to Jaish al-Islam activists, their forces launched a swift counter-assault against the Syrian Army on Sunday night, striking the latter’s positions at the key hilltop of Tal Firzat near al-Nashabiyah.

Once they cleared the Tal Firzat area, Jaish al-Islam reportedly pushed back the government forces from al-Nashabiyah and restored the points they previously lost.

While the front-lines are unclear at the moment, it appears that the fighting has all but dissipated at al-Nashabiyah, as both sides have halted their attacks.

It's Simple Math: #DACA Would Create a Democratic ‘One Party State' From 2020 Onward
[TrevorLouden] If President Trump compromises on DACA, you can kiss America goodbye.

It’s very simple math, people. We can safely assume that the vast majority of DACA beneficiaries will vote Democrat, if allowed to stay in the country. So will their families. That will be almost 5 million new Democrat voters, many of them concentrated in swing states, or potential swing states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Florida.

The left understands that DACA is "a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success" ‐ permanently.

Charles Benninghoff of Pray For US has done the math. It makes horrifying and sobering reading.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Is there a day when Abbas and his ‘people’ are not OUTRAGED
[ISRAELNATIONALNEWS] Somebody needs to tell the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
that the jig is up, the game is over. Wait. My mistake. President Trump did that already but Abbas still fails to get the message.

Ditto the Democrats who can’t get it through their thick skulls that they lost, Trump won.

He won even as Liberals try every Dirty Trick to unseat him from one false charge to another; last month’s Russia collusion, last week’s mental unfitness, and today’s accusation that he’s a racist. Trump is no racist, quite the opposite if the Mar-a-Lago story ever gets told...which we’ll do in a moment.

Nor can Liberals, from their politicians to their media be taken at their word about anything, as covered in this factual thriller, "The Bathsheba Deadline."

On Abbas, read Mordechai Kedar’s brilliant assessment to better understand how that "Paleostinian" warlord Abbas cooked himself and his "people."

People, who, as I noted earlier, arrived on the scene after The Beatles.

Yes, those "Paleostinians," who became an ANCIENT CIVILIZATION June 2, 1964 owing to the PLO’s being dubiously legitimized by the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
then and not before.

We appear to be living in an age of Sore Losers. There has never been anything like it, far back as I can remember. Losers just won’t quit, even after the Fat Lady Sings.

Is there a day when Abbas and his "people" are not OUTRAGED? Is there a moment when Democrats stop bewailing Trump?

Why do I think of "Paleostinians" and American Liberals in the same breath? I don’t know. You tell me.

So now Abbas is taking his show on the road again. It works best for him Off-Broadway. Broadway, meaning Israel, already knows all the jokes.

There he goes with his claims (once again) to the UN and the EU, where they always greet him elaborately with kisses and wild applause ‐ only this time it may be the sound of one hand clapping. They’ll give him the usual ceremonies, but they’ve grown tired of him, too, like the dinner-guest who stayed too long.

Meantime, Abbas has become totally irrelevant and incoherent...starting with his curse against the United States as a country and Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
as a person.

To teach Trump a "lesson" for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, Abbas babbled the following rant: "May your house be destroyed."

Terror Networks
The Hunt For ISIS Leader al-Baghdadi
[Grauniad] Day and night for the past three years, an unprecedented number of the world’s spies have zeroed in on a patch of Iraq and Syria to hunt for one man. Their target, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State terrorist group, has eluded them all. But only just.

The most wanted man on the planet has been traced to a specific place at least three times in the past 18 months alone. And despite the protection of a devoted network, there have been other sightings of the reclusive leader, reported by Isis members shortly afterwards and confirmed later by intelligence officers. Being a fugitive in the digital age, or in a losing cause, clearly has its shortfalls.

One 45-second mistake on 3 November 2016 almost cost Baghdadi his “caliphate” before its collapse last year. As Iraqi and Kurdish forces advanced on Mosul, Baghdadi took up a handheld radio in a village between the west of the city and the town of Tal Afar. Spies based in a listening post further north were stunned as his distinctive voice exhorted followers to stand their ground. That rare moment of ill discipline allowed the network of spies chasing Baghdadi to trace him in real time. But then, as on at least two other occasions, there was no time to act. Baghdadi’s entourage knew his cover had probably been blown and whisked him away.

Late last year, he was also traced to a village south of Baaj, again through the brief and careless use of a communications device. The connection was picked up by a signals intelligence network that has penetrated web and phone use in Isis areas. However, it was too fleeting to deploy fighter jets circling above on permanent hunt for targets, and there was no confirmation of exactly where he was hiding.

The morsels of chatter have helped fill in a picture of Baghdadi’s movements – and temperament; the cast-iron discipline of his immediate circle has weak spots after all. His senior leaders, however, have had far more trouble with communications discipline, and slip-ups have often led to their demise.

Three intelligence agencies have confirmed that Baghdadi was seriously wounded in an airstrike near Shirkat in early 2015. Separate sources have confirmed to the Guardian that he spent several months recovering in Baaj. Even now, his movements remain limited by his injuries.

According to witnesses who saw him in Abu Kamal after the end of the Muslim festival of Ramadan, he was looking tired and drawn, a shadow of the confident, black-robed figure who ascended a pulpit in Mosul’s Great Mosque of al-Nuri in mid-2014 to proclaim the “caliphate’s establishment”.

Hashimi said: “Isis has resorted to being a shadow government. They still control small parts of Anbar and Euphrates river but they are sleeper cells. There is no leadership structure, it has dissolved. They do not hold meetings any more – and if they do it is never in the same place twice. They don’t even pass oral messages to each other any more. They use Signal and Telegram [encrypted apps] to communicate.

“They’ve cut back the men by 50%. The main budget cannot be touched any more. Leadership no longer matters.

“I’ve met with [foreign fighter] Abu Hamza al-Belgiki, who feels betrayed, as do all of them. They had been instructed to fight for Mosul till their deaths. When the battles intensified in the city the senior leaders and those close to Baghdadi all fled, leaving these fighters behind. They feel fooled. They have been fooled.”

Saudi Arabia intercepts ballistic missile launched by Houthi militia from Yemen
[ARABNEWS] Saudi air defense forces announced on Tuesday that they intercepted a ballistic missile, launched by Yemen’s Houthi
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ...
militias, over Jazan at around 8:20 p.m.

It comes after Saudi forces intercepted another ballistic missile fired by the Houthis over the southern province of Najran, bordering Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
last week.

Meanwhile,
...back at the cheese factory, there was only one thought in the mouse's mind: I can do this! I can do this! Then the trap sprung...
Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said Tuesday that Iran was the biggest source of danger in the region because of its role in Leb, Yemen and Syria.

Iran supplied the Houthi militias with missiles that targeted Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, he told the media alongside his Belgian counterpart Didier Renders at a presser in the Belgian capital, Brussels.

"The nuclear deal with Iran needs improvement to prevent Tehran from enriching uranium," al-Jubeir added.

Commenting on al-Jubeir’s statement, Renders said: "the nuclear agreement with Iran is still optimal and its implementation is important," adding that "we will discuss with Iran the issue of ballistic missiles and wars in the region."

6 LNA soldiers die in Jaghboub Oasis
Tunis, 16 January 2018:

Sudanese rebels killed six Libyan National Army (LNA) soldiers and captured another yesterday near to the Jaghboub Oasis, close to the Egyptian border.

Initially it was thought the so-called Islamic State was the attacker, but now it is understood the Sudanese Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) were culpable.

The seven soldiers were part of the LNA’s 106 and 501 desert patrol brigades, and effectively border guards. The six bodies were found rotting in the desert and the other LNA fighter is missing, presumed abducted.

They were named as Ibrahim Al-Barasi and Salah Al-Barasi from Beida, Muftah Al-Barasi from Marawa, Nasser Al-Qut’ani and Saqur Al-Qut’ani from Um Al-Rizim. The identity of the final dead LNA soldier is unconfirmed and Hisham Al-Barasi from Beida is the missing member.

In late October 2016, 13 members of JEM were killed near Jaghboub in clashes with a Kufra-based Salafist brigade supportive of the LNA.

On 23 September 2016, six Libyans were kidnapped south of Jaghboub by JEM while they were on a bird-hunting tour. Initially, JEM demanded LD 2 million but this was negotiated down to half a million LD.

JEM are typically described as mercenaries, willing to work with anyone who will pay them and let their group move freely. However, pictures have emerged of JEM fighters with notable figures in the Islamist-led Benghazi Defence Brigades including a senior commander nicknamed Al Nahla or ‘the bee”. Others are seen as supportive of the LNA.

It has also been rumoured that JEM were in the Wershefana area alongside pro-Qaddafi fighters.

The UN Libya Experts Panel final report presented to the Security Council in June 2017 revealed an immense presence of foreign groups who contributed to an escalation of violence in the country. This included JEM and the Sudan Liberation Army. Also noted were Chadian groups such as the Front pour l’alternance et la concorde au Tchad (FACT), Conseil de Commandement Militaire Pour le Salut de la Republique (CCMSR) and Rassemblement des forces democratiques (RFC).

#1  Check a map. The fact that Sudanese JEM rebels and Chadians could be making trouble that far north in Libya defies logic. Jaghboub is the home of the Sanussi brotherhood, an important Sufi movement that has followers across north Africa. It was also the stomping grounds of King Idris I, who was ousted by Qadafi. This report really needs further explanation and analysis.

Egypt WoT moves to the Desert Oases
[Jamestown Foundation] The spread of the Islamist insurgency in the Sinai Peninsula to the heavily populated Nile Delta and Nile Valley regions of Egypt has been facilitated by the importation of arms from Muammar Gaddafi’s looted Libyan armories. Prior to Libya’s 2011 revolution, arms and explosives were difficult to obtain. Since then, the growth of new Egyptian militant groups such as Liwaa al-Thawra (Revolution Brigade) and Harikat Souad Masr (Hasm – Arms of Egypt Movement)
...the NeverSisi militant arms of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. They sprang into existence, fully formed, in October 2016, probably inheriting personnel from previous MB armed factions, and apparently organized by Mohammed Kamel, who was responsible for MB special cells until he was killed by security forces in a hail of gunfire about the time the two groups appeared...
have been enabled by the availability of arms smuggled over 370 miles through the vast wastes of Egypt’s Western Desert, the 263,000 square miles of which account for two-thirds of Egypt’s land mass. With the Libyan-Egyptian border stretching for more than 650 miles, uncontrolled entry points to Egypt are plentiful, allowing militants and smugglers to move back and forth.

The Oases
The only centers of population in the Western Desert are the ancient oases of Siwa, Dakhla, Farafra, Bahariya and Kharga. Over time, the oases have been occupied by Ancient Egyptians, Romans, Mamluks and Ottomans. Modern influences only began to enter the oases with the construction of a road connecting them to the Nile valley in the 1970s. The mostly Muslim peoples of the oases are a mix of their original ancient inhabitants, Berbers, Arab Bedouin from Libya and migrants from the Nile Valley.

China-Japan-Koreas
North Korea SHOCK warning: Trump will CRUSH Kim's regime in MATTER of days
[Express] DONALD TRUMP would destroy North Korea in a "matter of days" if it provoked a war on America, former US army officer Jack Keane has said.

North Korea and America have been involved in a war of words in recent months, with Kim Jong-un threatening to attack the US with his nuclear programme.

Kim Jong-un’s regime would be "crushed" if it sparked a war with the US, military analyst Jack Keane has said.

Speaking on Fox News, Mr Keane said: "King Jong-un, once he makes a decision to react to what he believes is a provocation by the United States, and start a shooting war on the peninsula - that’s the end of his regime.

"And he knows that. All the people around him know that.

"We would crush that regime in a matter of days and he knows that."

Mr Keane said the US should prepare for war and get ammunition ready. He said: "If we are going to go to war, and there’s a possibility we are, director Pompeo of the CIA said we are just months away from the showdown.

"If that’s the case, as we are in Iraq and Afghanistan, we are an ocean away, which means we have to prepare theatre level logistics. We have to put in place ammunition. We have to start moving some forces that are going to be able to accommodate the reality of that."

Mr Keane also said Donald Trump should be making plans to bring the American population home.

He argued China and North Korea will not take the threats of military action seriously if the US continues to send families to South Korea with their military spouses.

He said: "I actually think we should do more on the military side to strengthen the policy change that we made dealing with North Korea and that is that the military option is back on the table."

In regard to North Korea’s recent diplomatic talks with South Korea, Mr Keane said Kim Jong-un is using the talks to drive a wedge between the US and South Korea.

Earlier this week US President Donald Trump deployed nuclear supercarrier USS Carl Vinson and three-nuclear capable B-2 bombers to Korean peninsula sea and Guam to monitor North Korea during the Winter Olympics taking place in Pyeongchang in February.

A medium-range missile was launched from the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kauai, Hawaii, during a flight test on August 29.

The target was successfully blasted out of the sky by SM-6 missiles, which were fired from the USS John Paul Jones, one of the US Navy’s top destroyers.

#3  Moving ammo is simple. It can be moved, and it can be moved back. Meantime, it sits in inert piles bothering nobody and remaining potent, wherever it is.
Moving dependents is another matter. That's serious. Upsets schools for the kids, residence for the families when they get home, perhaps jobs on the economy for the spouses.
in addition to sending a message, if Kim doesn't get the message, that's one big worry not to worry about.

The System is Actively Working To Defend Itself…
[ConservativeTreehouse] People often attempt to describe the larger umbrella of control with terms like "Deep State", the "Administrative State", the "Establishment", the "industrial media", and other descriptive word assemblies. The inherent goal is trying to describe various alignments and connections of institutional government with private sector social and financial interdependency.

It is, in essence, what we generally describe as "The System".

The presidency of Donald John Trump is an existential threat to that system. A John Galt per se’. President Trump represents an uncontrollable, unaligned independent, free-thinking change-agent; a disruptor who exists entirely outside of the systems’ ability to influence favorable action.

#1  To fathom the disruptive nature of the inherent conflict it helps to remember that roughly half of the U.S. demographic has been institutionally led to a point where their sense of being -amid the matrix of life- is defined by their acceptance of the systems’ inherent disposition of collectivism.

Perfect.

They'd let government thugs kill their neighbor' children to keep their magic paychecks, and that is 90%+ of our problem in America today.

Trump Receives Kazakstan President Nazarbayev
President Trump met with President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan today in the White House. They discussed the North Korea nuclear issue, among other things. Unlike the US, Kazakhstan has diplomatic relations with North Korea, and has offered to assist in negotiating the nuclear issue. As a former (Islamic) state of the USSR, Kazakstan once had a large nuclear aresenal but has relinquished it. Nazarbayev congratulated Trump on being in office for a year and for signing a package of tax cuts. Kazakstan, on the north and east side of the Caspian Sea, has very large oil reserves and is a major player in the world oil export market. They are an important - with regard to Russia, Islam and energy - but little-noticed country. I cannot recall when their leadership has previously been received in the White House.
I cannot find a source other than that organization which cannot be named so have rewritten it myself.

US withholds $65 million from UN agency for Palestinians
Gaza, Palestinian “refugee camps”in the Arab world hardest hit.
[IsraelTimes] Making reduced payment of $60 million, State Department official says Washington is undertaking 'a fundamental re-examination' of UNRWA's operations and funding

The United States sent $60 million to keep the UN relief agency for Paleostinians (UNRWA) in operation but withheld a further $65 million while it urged others to pay more, a State Department official said Tuesday.

"There is a need to undertake a fundamental re-examination of UNRWA, both in the way it operates and the way it is funded," the official said.

The official told AFP the decision to withhold some funds was meant to encourage more "burden-sharing" by other members.

"The United States has been UNRWA’s single largest donor for decades. In years past, we contributed some 30 percent of UNRWA’s total income," he said.

"Without the funds we are providing today, UNRWA operations were at risk of running out of funds and closing down.

"The funds provided by the United States will prevent that from happening for the immediate future."

US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
earlier this month threatened to cut US aid to the Paleostinians, saying on Twitter that Washington gets "no appreciation or respect" from the Paleostinians.

"We pay the Paleostinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect," Trump tweeted on January 3.

"With the Paleostinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?"

Although Trump referred to all US assistance to the Paleostinians, the contribution to the refugee agency would be the first to be affected.

Israel has often criticized UNRWA, accusing it of sheltering holy warriors and allowing Paleostinians to remain refugees even after settling in a new city or country for many generations, thus complicating a possible resolution to the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.

The State Department announcement was hailed by Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Danny Danon on Tuesday.

"UNRWA has proven time and again to be an agency that misuses the humanitarian aid of the international community and instead supports anti-Israel propaganda, perpetuates the plight of Paleostinian refugees and encourages hate," Danon said in a statement.

"Just over the last year alone, UNRWA officials were elected to the leadership of Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", in the Gazoo Strip, UNRWA schools denied the existence of Israel, and terror tunnels were dug under UNRWA facilities. It is time for this absurdity to end and for humanitarian funds to be directed towards their intended purpose ‐ the welfare of refugees," he added.

The agency focuses on providing health care, education and social services to Paleostinians in the West Bank, Gazoo Strip, Jordan, Syria and Leb.

On Monday, the United Nations said the work of the agency was "critical" and if the United States or any other donor cuts its contributions "we will have to find other sources."
Go for it. Perhaps George Soros would like to cover the shortfall.
Human Rights Watch director Kenneth Roth on Monday called the US move "vindictive" and a "bullying tactic," as he urged other governments to step in and fill the gap if the United States decides to definitely cut funding.

"It is vindictive for the US government to deprive the UN of money to feed and educate Paleostinian children in order to blackmail the Paleostinian Authority into rejoining Trump administration-led peace negotiations," Roth said in a statement.
If Human Rights Watch is upset, we’re doing something right.

[CaptainsJournal] Apparently, they are involved to some degree or other. I know I’ve panned Redneck Revolt before, and true enough they appear to be generally incompetent, lazy, philosophically incoherent, goofy and miserable.

But the moral of the story here is that if you intend to go armed at rallies for the purpose of protecting others, you’d better be prepared to use those arms and suffer the consequences for it, whatever they may be. This isn’t a game folks.

Frankly, I am of the opinion that no rally is going to convince anyone to rethink their flawed views of history, question their world view, or ameliorate bad decisions in politics. A rally cannot undo the effects of a century of false teaching embedded into the consciousness of multiple generations.

Egypt's Al-Azhar to hold international conference 'in support of Jerusalem' on Wednesday
Do they suppose President Trump won’t notice?
[AlAhram] Egypt's al-Azhar ‐ the world's foremost institution of Sunni Islamic learning ‐ is holding an international conference on Wednesday that will be attended by officials from 86 countries to discuss the issue of Jerusalem.

The conference, which will be held on 17 and 18 January at al-Azhar Conference Centre in Cairo, will highlight a number of issues including "raising awareness about the issue of Jerusalem and emphasising its Arab and Islamic identity," according to a statement by al-Azhar.

The event, which comes under the auspices of Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi,
Oh? A very bold decision, especially following his previous bold decision on this particular subject. Still, I suppose what matters is the Conclusions & Recommendations section of the proceedings...
will be held nearly one month after a decision by US President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The conference will be attended by the head of Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II, Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
, as well as the heads of Arab Islamic and Christian organizations.

The conference will tackle three main themes; affirming Jerusalem’s Arab status, raising awareness about the Jerusalem issue, and highlighting the international community's responsibility regarding the holy city.

The event, which will be led by Grand Imam of al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed El-Tayyeb, is expected to conclude with several recommendations that support the Paleostinian cause and stress the rights of Paleostinians to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

"The conference will also discuss preserving Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem in addition to a number of measures and decisions that will educate young people about the issue of Jerusalem, its history and its holy sites," the statement added.

Following Trump's decision on Jerusalem, which sparked protests in several Arab countries, Egypt presented a draft resolution to the Security Council on behalf of Arab countries that would have required the US to reverse its decision.

The resolution was vetoed by the US, though it gained support from all 14 other members of the Security Council, including key US allies Britannia, La Belle France, Italia, Japan and Ukraine.

A total of 128 countries later voted in the UN General Assembly in favour of a resolution condemning Trump's decision and calling on the US to reverse the move.

Egypt has consistently maintained its full support for a two-state solution along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital of the Paleostinian state.

Bilal shot up Benazir first and then detonated the boom jacket. Following the incident, Ikramullah fled from the site and to this date roams free.

The book refers to the time Benazir returned to Pakistain to lead her party in 2008 elections, stating that the attack on her procession at Karsaz on October 18, 2007 was carried out upon the then group’s chief Baitullah Mehsud's orders.

The recently released book said that, despite the attack on Benazir in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, the government did not take adequate measures for the security of the Pakistain People’s Party leader, which made her an easy target.

Baitullah Mehsud had denied any part in the attack on Benazir, calling it against the Pashtun customs. The officials, especially the Federal Investigation Agency, always maintained its stance that she was murdered by the Taliban.

Britain
‘ISIS-inspired’ mosque teacher, 25, ‘prepared students for terror acts by showing them beheading videos, plotted attacks on targets including Big Ben and the Queen’s Guard
[DailyMail] An ISIS-inspired mosque teacher prepared his students for acts of terror with physical training and role playing classes as he plotted strikes on targets including Big Ben and the Queen's Guard, the Old Bailey heard.

Umar Ahmed Haque, 25, allegedly planned atrocities across London when he was working at the Lantern of Knowledge Islamic boys secondary school in Leyton, east London, where he taught.

He denies showing videos of beheadings to pupils at the school or plotting terrorist acts, but admits training children at the Ripple Road Mosque in Barking, east London, where he also taught.

Haque, who allegedly planned attacks on Big Ben and the Queen's Guard, has confessed to having copies of the ISIS magazine Rumiyah.

Prosecutor Mark Heywood QC said Haque decided in 2016 and early 2017 to carry out one or more violent attacks in this country.

Haque became obsessed by the Westminster attacks of March 22 2017 in which which five people die and more than 50 people injured.

'It proved to be for him a subject of fascination and contemplation, as you will hear him say in due course,' Mr Heywood said.

In covert recordings with fellow accused terrorist Abuthaher Mamun, 19, Haque said, 'We are here to cause terrorism, we are a death squad sent by Allah.

Haque expressed fears of a 'snitch' and discussed the justification for killing civilians, jurors were told.

Mr Heywood said of Haque: 'There is justification of killing civillians, there is reference to the need to deter what Mr Haque calls 'the enemy'.'

Haque praised the late Osama bin Laden
... who is no longer with us, and won't be again...
and IS fighters in Africa as well as Khalid Masood, and had told the police he was a 'loyal soldier' of Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
, the court heard.

On 11 April 2016 he attempted to fly from London Heathrow to Istanbul and was stopped by security officers.

He claimed he was going on a pilgrimage to Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
after a few days holiday in Istanbul.

Haque was in possession of two mobile phones which he had used to visit news sites about the terror attacks in La Belle France and Belgium and Syrian beheadings.

Haque is on trial with Nadeem Ilyas Patel, 26, who allegedly plotted with him together to obtain a firearm.

Patel denied that charge but admitted to having a Walther P99 handgun adapted to discharge a noxious liquid or gas.

Muhammad Abid, 27, denies failing to disclose information about Haque's terror planning.

Mamun, 19, denies trading in financial options in order to finance the attack allegedly plotted by Haque.

All four men were detained in a string of raids on May 17 after an investigation by MI5 and the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command.

Haque, of Forest Gate, east London, denies two counts of preparing to commit acts of terrorism, one count of dissemination of terrorist publications and one count of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He admits to dissemination of terrorist publications, and four counts of collection of information likely to be useful to a terrorist.

Abid, of Manor Park, denies failing to disclose information about Haque.

Mamun, of Barking, denies preparation of terrorist acts.

Patel, of Forest Gate, denies conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He admits possession of a prohibited weapon.

The trial continues.
