Supreme Court Divided Over USS Cole Bombing Lawsuit Against Sudan
[gcaptain] U.S. Supreme Court justices appeared divided on Wednesday as they weighed an effort by Sudan, backed by the U.S. government, to avoid paying $314.7 million in damages to American sailors injured in a 2000 deadly bombing of the Navy destroyer USS Cole by the al Qaeda militant group.

The justices heard oral arguments in Sudan's appeal of a 2015 lower court ruling that allowed the sailors to collect the damages.

The dispute centers on Sudan's contention that it was not properly notified of the lawsuit when the claims were delivered in 2010 to its embassy in Washington rather than to its minister of foreign affairs in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, as required by U.S. and international law.

The administration of President Donald Trump agreed with Sudan, saying the case could impact how the U.S. government is treated by foreign courts since the United States rejects judicial notices delivered to its embassies.
Sounds like the President is trying to follow the law. State or upstairs of State screwed up or standbagged the procedure at the time to sabotage the effort, IMHO.
Some justices appeared sensitive to the government's arguments. Trump's newest appointee to the court, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, suggested that a lawyer for the sailors, Kannon Shanmugam, was downplaying the problem despite a major international treaty on diplomatic relations.

"The United States and all the countries in the Vienna Convention all seem to say, actually, it is a big deal," Kavanaugh said.

Justice Stephen Breyer, a liberal, said a suit might better reach the proper authorities if sent to a foreign ministry abroad.

Some other members of the court appeared to back the sailors. Chief Justice John Roberts said it might be more "convenient" to receive a notice at an embassy.

The case follows the injury of 15 sailors in the Oct. 12, 2000 attack, after which they and three of their spouses sued Sudan in 2010, accusing it of providing material support to help al Qaeda carry out the bombing. Sudan denies the allegation. The attack killed 17 sailors and wounded dozens in the southern Yemeni port of Aden.

In 2012, a federal judge in Washington issued a default judgment of $314.7 million against Sudan, which did not appear in court to defend itself. A separate judge in New York later ordered certain banks to turn over assets they had held for Sudan to partially satisfy the judgment.

The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York upheld those orders in 2015, rejecting Sudan's argument that the lawsuit had not been properly initiated according to the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, a U.S. law governing when foreign governments may be sued in American courts.

Don Lemon Asks Donald Trump: Which Caravan Did Thousand Oaks Shooter Belong To?
[Huffpoo] Don Lemon took President Donald Trump to task for his pre-midterm elections fear-mongering about the migrant caravan traveling through Mexico on Thursday.

The "CNN Tonight" host suggested Trump should have instead been focused on tackling "homegrown killers," such as the gunman who killed 12 Wednesday after bursting into the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, California.

Lemon, who also reeled off a long list of places where mass shootings have taken place in recent years, said:
"Remember just last week when the president told you it was the caravan you were supposed to be afraid of, the caravan he is strangely not talking about much since the election? Well, the caravan didn’t shoot up that bar in Thousand Oaks. Which caravan did the shooter belong to? None of them as far as I know. The caravan didn’t kill 11 people in that Pittsburgh synagogue."
He then succinctly summed it up:
"The caravan is not the problem and hasn’t been the problem. Homegrown killers are the problem. Homegrown killers are the problem. The question is, when are we going to do something about it?"

Afghanistan
Afghan anti-corruption program is corrupt, US officials say
[Stars & Stripes] KABUL, Afghanistan ‐ An anti-corruption program once seen as a beacon of hope in Afghanistan is failing to accomplish much, according to U.S. officials who say the nation’s top prosecutor is corrupt.

The Anti Corruption Justice Center’s efforts have stagnated, while U.S. officials described Afghanistan’s once-lauded attorney general as dishonest, corrupt and deficient, the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction said in a report released last week.

"The Center was portrayed and emphasized as one of the good things in Afghanistan," Vanda Felbab-Brown of the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based think tank, said in an interview. "(The report) is pretty devastating for the government, or anyone who wants to argue that there has been important progress and we shouldn’t give up on Afghanistan."

The attorney general’s office declined comment after multiple requests from Stars and Stripes.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani established the Justice Center with considerable help from Western military advisers and diplomatic organizations in 2016. The Afghan attorney general’s office still tries most corruption cases, but it refers major cases involving senior officials or major sums of money to the Justice Center.

U.S. officials said the Justice Center seemed to be making progress when it completed its first money-laundering case this year.

But there was no significant progress made in major corruption cases this year, the report said. The Justice Center seems to be chasing low-level cases to placate its Western donors, instead of targeting corrupt Afghan high-ranking officials, it said.

"The attorney general’s performance is deficient, his accomplishments are lacking, and he fails to cooperate with the U.S. Embassy on anticorruption matters," members of the U.S. Justice Department said in a SIGAR report.

Federal Appeals court hears argument that Mueller probe is invalid
WASHINGTON (AP) ‐ A federal appeals court heard arguments Thursday about whether special counsel Robert Mueller’s appointment to lead the Russia investigation was constitutional.

The case was brought by Andrew Miller, a former aide to longtime Trump confidant Roger Stone, because he doesn’t want to testify before a grand jury as part of the investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia in 2016.

At issue is whether Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein had the authority to appoint Mueller. The special counsel’s office says yes. But lawyers for Miller say no.

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia is now weighing that question but the latest shake up at the Justice Department hangs over the case.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump appointed a Mueller critic, Matthew Whitaker, as acting Attorney General, putting him in place to oversee the Russia probe instead of Rosenstein. On Thursday, Judge Karen Henderson told attorneys for Mueller and for Miller to argue the case as if "the events of yesterday didn’t happen" but noted that the judges may want the parties to file additional briefs in response to Trump’s move.

The court fight comes as Mueller’s team is scrutinizing Stone’s connection to WikiLeaks. American intelligence agencies have concluded that Russian agents were the source of damaging information on Hillary Clinton that WikiLeaks released during the 2016 campaign. Mueller’s team has been probing whether Stone had any advance knowledge of WikiLeaks plans, a contention he has denied.

Four separate federal judges have upheld Mueller’s appointment but Miller’s case is the first to reach oral arguments at the appellate level. And his attorney, Paul Kamenar, says that regardless of the panel’s decision, the case is bound to be decided by the Supreme Court.

During oral arguments before Henderson, Judge Sri Srinivasan and Judge Judith Rogers, Kamenar cast the special counsel as an unchecked prosecutorial power.

"He’s like a U.S. Attorney-at-large," he told the judges. Kamenar argued that Congress hasn’t passed a law specifically authorizing the appointment of a private attorney as a special counsel. And even if the legal authority existed, only Sessions could have appointed Mueller and not Rosenstein, who issued the order after Sessions recused himself from oversight of the Russia investigation, Kamenar said.

Meet Jerry Nadler, the Next House Judiciary Chairman and Trump's New Enemy No. 1
[Roll Call] New York Democrat may not impeach president, but his rigorous oversight will be a thorn in his side.

Jerrold Nadler remembers when he began to figure out that you’ve got to fight back when life seems unfair.

It was 1957. Nadler was 10. He was at home in Brooklyn watching Disney’s film production of the 1943 novel "Johnny Tremain," a young apprentice of silversmith Paul Revere on the eve of the American Revolution.

In the movie’s climatic scene, colonial lawyer James Otis delivers a rallying speech to revolutionaries in a cramped wooden attic in Boston.

Otis was the colonial lawyer whose five-hour speech in 1761 decrying British "writs of assistance" would later become the foundation of the Fourth Amendment protecting Americans from unreasonable search and seizure.

At the end of his winding speech, the fictionalized Otis scans the room and leaves his comrades with a parting message: "We fight and die for a simple thing ‐ only that a man can stand."

"I still remember watching it," said Nadler, whom aides and confidants claim has a photographic memory.

Not long after that, the New York Democrat remembers, articles started appearing in the newspapers about the Supreme Court upholding convictions of people whose confessions had been beaten out of them by police. Only two justices, Hugo Black and William Douglas, issued dissenting opinions.

"Seven to two, Black and Douglas dissenting. There were a number of such decisions, always Black and Douglas dissenting," Nadler said. "I remember getting very angry and saying, ’I’ve got to do something about that.’"

Now, 61 years later, the lifetime politician who got his start in 1977 as a New York assemblyman while he was still attending Fordham Law School at night is ready to fight back.

If you're a horse in Venezuela, you may have cause to be concerned
[Miami Herald] MARACAY, VENEZUELA - Rafael Toro, a student at Venezuela’s top veterinary school, suspected something was amiss when a beloved horse called Miss Congeniality didn’t greet him at the fence one recent morning along with others in the campus’ small herd.

The bright-eyed, bay-colored mare had earned her nickname for helping disabled students overcome their fear of riding horses. They say she was smart and even trotted up when you called her name.

To his shock, Toro discovered the horse’s skin and dismembered bones hidden among trees in the corner pasture of the sprawling campus in the central Venezuelan city of Maracay. Thieves overnight had hopped the fence, slaughtered the horse and made off with her meat ‐ either to sell or to feed their hungry families.

"I burst into tears," said Toro, who delivered the grim news to other students. "We came here, and together we all cried."

People concerned about Ginsburg's fall are offering their ribs and organs
[Kansas City Star] Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, fractured three ribs in a fall in her office Wednesday night, according to a statement from the Supreme Court’s public information office.

"Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on the left side," the statement said. She was taken to George Washington University Hospital.

Ginsburg has survived several fights with cancer and had heart surgery in 2014, according to CNBC. She has beaten pancreatic and colon cancer, the two deadliest forms of the disease.

People, especially younger people, were offering the octogenarian affectionately known as RBG their own ribs on social media Thursday morning. They even started the hashtag #RibsForRuth on Twitter.

Liberal Pastor to Ask for 'God's Blessing' on Abortion Clinic at Planned Parenthood 'Holy Ground' Event
[PJ] Three days after the election, Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio will host a "holy ground" event featuring prayer and blessing over an abortion clinic.

The event, "Holy Ground: Blessing the Sacred Space of Decision," will feature Rev. Dr. Susan K. Smith, whose "Crazy Faith Ministries" is more "social justice" activist group than traditional church.

"Please join Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio, the Ohio Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, faith leaders, and honored guests for an interfaith gathering," the event page requests.

"Anti-abortion advocates do not have the monopoly on faith or God," Planned Parenthood insists. "Many faith leaders and people of faith hold that accessing and providing abortions are good and godly decisions."

Yes, Planned Parenthood hails "faith leaders" who consider the intentional killing of unborn babies as a "good and godly decision."

"During this clinic blessing, participants will gather with local faith leaders and guests to ask for God's blessing upon Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio's East Columbus Surgical facility, the abortion providers and staff, and all those who pass through the center," the event page promises.

Sharp rise in anti-Semitic acts in France, says PM Philippe
[Politico] Anti-semitism is on the rise in France, with a jump in anti-Semitic incidents in the first nine months of this year, Prime Minister Édouard Philippe said Friday.

"Despite decreasing for the past two years, the number of [anti-Semitic] acts has risen by more than 69 percent in the first nine months of 2018," Philippe wrote on Facebook.

On the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the Night of Broken Glass ‐ a mass outbreak of violence against Jews in Nazi Germany when hundreds of synagogues were torched and dozens killed ‐ the head of the French government warned "we are very far from being done with anti-Semitism."

"Every act of aggression perpetrated against one of our fellow citizens because he or she is Jewish rings out like the sound of glass being broken," he wrote.

Although Philippe did not specify how many acts had been committed this year, Le Monde said there had been 311 anti-Semitic incidents in 2017.

Philippe said the government would trial a new dedicated network of investigators and magistrates to fight hate crimes and would instal a permanent national team in the education ministry to tackle anti-Semitism in schools.

In one high-profile case in March, 85-year-old Jewish Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll was killed at her home in Paris.

Leftist Protesters: 'If Tucker Carlson Didn't Want To Get Mobbed In His Own Home, Then Why Did He Disagree With Us?'
[Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.‐After an antifa group was widely criticized for mobbing Tucker Carlson's home and chanting "We know where you sleep at night!" the group defended itself, pointing out that if Carlson didn't want to get mobbed, then he shouldn't have disagreed with them in the first place.

As critics denounced the frightening actions of the mob, the group stood firm, claiming it was Carlson's own fault for not parroting leftist talking points on his program.

"There's a really easy way not to get mobbed in public places or your own home: march in lockstep with the leftist agenda," said a Smash Racism D.C. spokesperson. "It's really simple."

"What'd you think we were gonna do, disagree civilly? Yeah, right!" he added.

The group also warned other people that if angry, violent protesters show up at their homes or places of business and threaten or assault them, it's their own fault. "You're really asking for it if you can't take the easy step of nodding your agreement to every position of the far left. We can't help ourselves, you know. Unhinged leftists will be unhinged leftists, after all."

#6  The story doesn't fit the definition of satire. Pretty much an account of what happened with no fictional characters to mask the real people, use of caustic wit, sarcasm, irony or exaggeration.

These people ought to be prosecuted as criminals or domestic terrorists; they destroy property and terrorize people in public settings and in their homes.

#3  More from the Daily Mail link:

The 31-year-old and his family were known to counter-terror agencies at a state and national level and were believed to have ties with north African extremist groups.

Khalif's passport was cancelled several years ago after he was flagged as one of 300 potential security risks.

It was also noted police are unable to get in touch with Khalif's wife, and believe she is both missing and radicalised.

Authorities may be hoping to utilise the state's preventative detention laws for the first time since they came into effect, in which police are legally allowed to detain a suspect for up to seven days should they believe the person poses a threat or security risk, Herald Sun reported.

Khalif moved to Australia from Somalia in the 1990's, Victoria Police commissioner Graham Ashton said, and had a record of 'minor' offences in relation to 'cannabis use, theft and driving offences'.

'He is known to police and is known mainly in respect to relatives he has that are certainly persons of interest.'

South Carolina Mom Shoots Intruder Who Claims Her House Is ‘My House' (video)
[Guns America Digest] A South Carolina woman used her handgun last week to defend her home and her three sleeping children against a burglar who had kicked in her front door.

Security camera footage shows Cecil Charles Parnell, 43, along with an unidentified woman, attempting to break into the home owned by Ashley Jones. Jones told WSPA she heard banging on her front door and two people speaking on the porch.

"He was like, ’this is my house, let me in. I’m not going to hurt you’ kind of thing, and I was like ’What do you want?’" Jones said. "After I called the police, I grabbed a gun and went to the top of the steps and was like, ’I have a gun. I will shoot you. Do not come in my house.’"

Jones said Parnell went around to her back door, but the lock prevented him from entering the house. The man returned to the front door and continued his attempts to force his way inside the home.

At that point "something just came over me, and I got calm," Jones told FOX Carolina. "My heart slowed down and I got focused. I told myself if he comes in here, you can’t let him get past your doorstep. You have three young children to protect."

Marco Rubio voices MAJOR concerns about the Senate election results in Florida…
[Right Scoop] Marco Rubio has major concerns about the Senate election results in Florida, specifically in Broward County, which hasn’t fully turned their results in yet.

And he’s voicing them now for all to see:

Tweet string at link.

I’m so glad he’s calling attention to this. It doesn’t make sense that other counties can get this done but Broward County can’t. It’s been two days already!

I like how he doesn’t just throw out his election concerns willy nilly, but substantiates them with both arguments and articles to back them up. Any reasonable person can see he’s not just throwing bombs.

I do hope Rubio putting a focus on Broward County will engage state officials to ensure that Broward doesn’t ‘mishandle’ votes like they’ve done in the past. A major Senate seat hangs in the balance and Democrats will cheat to win – there’s no doubt about it.

Florida elections in limbo as possible recount looms
[NYP] Likely recounts in Florida’s Senate and gubernatorial races have put the Sunshine State in the national spotlight again ‐ 18 years after the US Supreme Court stopped a Florida recount in the presidential race, giving George W. Bush the White House.

"The recounts will be nationally watched . . . [we’re] under a microscope," Secretary of State Ken Detzner said on a conference call with county election officials, the Miami Herald reported.

In the Senate race, Republican Gov. Rick Scott led Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson by 0.21 percentage points out of nearly 8.2 million votes cast ‐ a margin well below the 0.5-point threshold that would trigger an automatic machine recount under state law.

In the race for governor, GOP Rep. Ron DeSantis leads Democratic Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum by 0.47 percentage points, with thousands of votes still uncounted.

Larry King: 'CNN stopped doing news a long time ago'
[Washington Times] Former longtime CNN host Larry King on Wednesday slammed his former network for focusing so much on President Trump’s every move that they neglect what he considers real news.

The now-RT America host lamented that CNN, where he hosted a prime-time show for 25 years, made Mr. Trump the story early on in his campaign and never got off the merry-go-round.

"CNN stopped doing news a long time ago," Mr. King told Fox News contributor and former CNN anchor Rick Sanchez on RT America Wednesday night. "They do Trump. Fox is Trump TV and MSNBC is anti-Trump all the time.

"There [were] vicious winds and storms in the Northeast the other day, not covered on any of the three cable networks. Not covered," he said. "So when CNN started covering Trump ‐ they were the first ‐ they covered every speech he made and then they made Trump the story. So, Trump is the story in America.

"I guess it’s to their regret," he added.

Mueller team begins writing final report
[Washington Times] Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has begun writing its final report on its 18-month Russia investigation, according a media report Thursday.

The investigation has entered its final stages, but federal prosecutors reportedly still have some final pieces to put into place, CNN reported.

The Mueller team is seeking information related to Roger Stone, a longtime Trump adviser who has been at the center of the Mueller probe in recent weeks.

Mr. Mueller reportedly asked President Trump’s legal team for call and visitor logs related to Mr. Stone’s visits to Trump Tower in New York before the 2016 election.

Prosecutors are also waiting for Mr. Trump’s legal team to return answers to Mr. Mueller’s questions, CNN said. It is not clear if an in-person interview with the president will happen.

Nine Hombres Arrested In TX For Alleged Illegal Voting Scheme, Says State AG
[Daily Caller] Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Thursday that several individuals were arrested in the Lone Star state for allegedly orchestrating an illegal voting scheme in the city of Edinburg in the Rio Grande Valley.

The attorney general’s Election Fraud Unit arrested nine people following an ongoing probe into "a coordinated effort by political workers to recruit people who agree to fraudulently claim residential addresses so they could vote in specific city of Edinburg municipal races," according to a statement from Paxton’s office.

"Illegal voting, particularly an organized illegal voting scheme orchestrated by political operatives, is an affront to democracy and results in corruption at the highest level," said Paxton. "Each illegal vote silences the voice of a law-abiding registered voter." (RELATED: Texas Stays Mostly Red As Republicans Win Majority Of Closely Watched House Races)

Paxton identified the nine individuals as Guadalupe Sanchez Garza, Araceli Gutierrez, Brenda Rodriguez, Rosendo Rodriguez, Cynthia Tamez, Ruby Tamez, Belinda Rodriguez, Felisha Yolanda Rodriguez and Jerry Gonzalez, Jr. He also asserted that more arrests are expected in the future and urged anyone with further information to come forward.

"My office will continue to do everything in its power to uncover illegal voting schemes and bring to justice those who try to manipulate the outcome of elections in Texas," he continued.

Terrorists, cultists – or champions of Iranian democracy? The wild wild story of the MEK
[Guardian] They fought for the Iranian revolution ‐ and then for Saddam Hussein. The US and UK once condemned them. But now their opposition to Tehran has made them favourites of Trump White House hardliners. By Arron Merat

Mostafa and Robabe Mohammadi came to Albania to rescue their daughter. But in Tirana, the capital, the middle-aged couple have been followed everywhere by two Albanian intelligence agents. Men in sunglasses trailed them from their hotel on George W Bush Road to their lawyer’s office; from the lawyer’s office to the ministry of internal affairs; and from the ministry back to the hotel.

The Mohammadis say their daughter, Somayeh, is being held against her will by a fringe Iranian revolutionary group that has been exiled to Albania, known as the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, or MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq). Widely regarded as a cult, the MEK was once designated as a terrorist organisation by the US and UK, but its opposition to the Iranian government has now earned it the support of powerful hawks in the Trump administration, including national security adviser John Bolton and the secretary of state, Mike Pompeo.

Do We Still Have A Congress Or Is It Becoming A Parliament?
[HOT AIR] This is a subject which came up on one of the cable news shows yesterday morning (I don’t recall which one) that I found interesting. One of the more telling statistics from this set of midterm elections was the high number of races which were won based on the registration advantage of one of the two major parties in each state and district. The only ones which were really up in the air were the contests where the split was either very close or the margin was exceeded by the number of independent voters. While that may just seem like "common sense" in the modern era it hasn’t always been that way.

This includes races where candidates with a generic ballot advantage had what should have been obvious disqualifying factors stacked against them. In New York and California, Republican incumbents Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter are both under indictment on very serious federal charges, yet they both won their races anyway. In New Jersey, Senator Bob Menendez was re-elected with a full ten percent margin of victory despite only barely escaping prison time on corruption charges by the grace of a hung jury. (Not to mention persistent stories of dalliances with underage hookers.) Shouldn’t that be telling us something?

Woman's March Leader Linda Sarsour blames Dems' 'downfall' on support for Israel
[Daily Wire] Women's March leader Linda Sarsour proved once again that she's no friend to the Jewish people, telling Democracy Now media that the Democratic Party's "downfall" is due to their support for the state of Israel.

Sarsour was one of several panelists anchoring the far-left Democracy Now's election night coverage Tuesday, and, forced to explain why the Democrats weren't picking up more seats, and why the much-anticipated "Blue Wave" had fizzled, Sarsour settled on the fact that the Democratic party refuses to condemn the Jewish people for their crimes, even though it actively supports "refugees" and other "criminal justice" initiatives.

"The place where the Democratic Party has a downfall is that the same people who will support refugees and criminal justice reform then support for example the state of Israel." - @lsarsour pic.twitter.com/cmpR6f09wJ

‐ Democracy Now! (@democracynow) November 7, 2018
Obviously Sarsour is implying that the Jewish people and the Jewish state of Israel engage in criminal behavior.

Just days ago, of course, Sarsour headlined the Women's March's vigil for victims of a horrific synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh ‐ arguably the worst anti-Semitic attack in American history ‐ addressing a crowd in Washington, D.C., and telling them to fight "hatred."

Flight attendant breastfeeds stranger's baby on flight
[NYP] Coffee, tea, breast milk?

A flight attendant went above and beyond to help a mom who ran out of formula for her infant Tuesday during a domestic Philippine Airlines flight.

Patrisha Organo, a 24-year-old flight attendant and first-time mom, offered to breastfeed the stranger’s baby.

"I heard an infant’s cry, a cry that will make you want to do anything to help," Organo wrote in a Facebook post along with a photo of her cradling the child. "I approached the mother and asked if everything’s okay, I tried to tell her to feed her hungry child. Teary-eyed, she told me that she ran out of formula milk. Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant."

"I felt a pinch in my heart," she continued. "There’s no formula milk onboard. I thought to myself, there’s only one thing I could offer and that’s my own milk. And so I offered."

California bar shooter barricaded himself in house during incident earlier this year
[NYP] The gunman in California’s mass shooting had reportedly barricaded himself inside his house with furniture and a bullet was fired through the wall during a domestic incident earlier this year.

Police had blocked off the street for hours in a tense negotiation with Ian David Long who eventually surrendered without incident, according to The Wall Street Journal.

"They couldn’t get him out for a long time, like half the day," neighbor Richard Berge told the paper.

It was not clear if Long had fired the shot that went through the wall.

Ventura police said Thursday there was a disturbance at the home in April but did not provide details.

They added that mental health specialists were dispatched but it was determined that Long was not a threat and did not require an involuntary psychiatric hold.

Under California law, a person who is committed to a mental health facility involuntarily can not purchase or possess firearms.

Acting AG Whitaker Pretty Much Tells Dems To Shove It: No Recusal From Overseeing Russia Probe
[Townhall] President Trump fired Jeff Sessions from his attorney general post yesterday. Matthew Whitaker is now acting attorney general, and he’s now in position to oversee the Russia investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Whitaker has criticized the probe before, which prompted top Democrats to call for his recusal (via The Hill):
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday said that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker should recuse himself from overseeing special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

"Given his previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general," Schumer said in a statement on Wednesday.

Schumer, in a separate press conference with reporters, warned that attempts by Sessions's successor or Trump to interfere with the investigation would spark a "constitutional crisis."

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been overseeing the Mueller investigation since Sessions recused himself from the investigation last year due of his involvement in Trump's campaign.

But the Justice Department told CBS News on Wednesday that Whitaker will now oversee the probe.

Well, despite recusal calls, Whitaker is pretty much telling the Democrats to shove it, with his associates telling The Washington Post that he has no plans to do so:

Goodbye, ‘Alec Baldwin Show': Yet Another Anti-Trump Comic Bites The Dust
[The Federalist] After a mere three weeks, Alec Baldwin’s ABC show, "The Alec Baldwin Show," has been banished to Saturday night at 10 p.m., the indisputable worst time slot in all of television.

Attempting to capitalize on the political momentum of his popular President Trump impression on "Saturday Night Live," Baldwin launched his talk show on October 14 to a dismal 2.1 million viewers. The subsequent three episodes found an increasingly small audience, and ABC announced the remaining new episodes would air on Saturday, with re-runs of "Shark Tank" replacing his show on Sunday nights.

Baldwin arrogantly thought his level of notoriety as an opposer of Trump coupled with high-powered celebrity guests would be enough to set him apart in a sea of leftist political talk shows. He was wrong.

In the premiere episodes, Baldwin showed himself to be a far more skilled actor than interviewer, barely allowing his guests to speak over his bevy of jokes and impersonations. A vanity project if ever there was one, Baldwin has seemingly been given a heavy dose of reality in the almost instant demise of his show.

"The Alec Baldwin Show" had plenty of ratings obstacles to overcome and needed to be a hit network show with broad appeal in order to survive. However, it unapologetically designed itself only for the leftist elite. Its original time slot on Sunday nights was opposite Sunday night football and premiered within weeks of two other comedy shows both hosted by progressive millennials, "Busy Tonight" on E! and "Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj" on Netflix.

Obama Appointed Federal Judge blocks Keystone XL pipeline
[The Hill] A federal judge blocked the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline Thursday, saying the Trump administration’s justification for approving it last year was incomplete.

In a major victory for environmentalists and indigenous rights groups, Judge Brian Morris of the District Court for the District of Montana overturned President Trump’s permit for the Canada-to-Texas pipeline, which the president signed shortly after taking office last year.

Morris’s ruling repeatedly faulted the Trump administration for reversing former President Obama’s 2015 denial of the pipeline permit without proper explanation. He said the State Department "simply discarded" climate change concerns related to the project.

The decision once again throws into doubt the future of the 1,179-mile Keystone XL, which for much of the decade since its proposal by TransCanada Corp. has been a lightning rod in national energy policy.

The Trump administration had tried to argue that federal courts didn’t even have the right to review Trump’s approval, saying that it extended from his constitutional authority over border crossings. The court rejected that argument.

In rejecting the permit, Morris relied mainly on arguing that State, the agency that analyzed the project, didn’t properly account for factors such as low oil prices, the cumulative impacts of greenhouse gases from Keystone and the Alberta Clipper pipeline and the risk of oil spills.

Zayed paid a visit to the injured at Zayed Specialised Hospital, after which it was announced that three of the injured remain in the intensive care but are stable.

Zayed said that four other cases are set to leave hospital after a full recover

Seven Coptic Christians were killed last Friday when Lions of Islam attacked with firearms a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Minya, according to health ministry figures.

The self-proclaimed Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
terrorist group grabbed credit for the attack.

Egypt's Copts in Minya still angered, demand retribution

[AlAhram] A woman, four men, a 15-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl were killed when the bus was attacked. Six of the victims were members of the same family.

"There were three buses carrying a large number of families on their way back from the monastery. Terrorists ambushed the three buses, two were able to escape but the last was forced to halt on the road," Bishop Macarius of the Minya diocese told al-Ahram Weekly.

"We were riding a microbus which carried 14 adults as well as children," said Aida Shehata, 33, a survivor of the massacre, during a televised interview. "We were returning after visiting the monastery when we heard gunshots."

Shehata, who was speaking from her bed in the Minya local hospital where she was receiving treatment for shrapnel injuries and gunshot wounds to her legs, said the driver had attempted to return to the monastery but was intercepted by one of the assailants’ vehicles.

"They kept shooting from all the directions at the bus. There were at least four button men. They told my daughter to collect all the passengers’ mobile phones and hand them over."

"After the attack the floor of the bus was littered with bullets. I saw my husband, dead and covered with blood, his two brothers the same."

The attack took place close to the site of an earlier attack, in May 2017, which left 28 Christian pilgrims dead. In the immediate aftermath the Coptic Orthodox Church banned visits to monasteries but the blanket ban was soon relaxed. Many monasteries depend on income from worshippers and tourists.

Ibrahim Farah, 31, was a passenger on the first bus which managed to flee the attack. He says the attackers were heavily armed and appeared to be aiming first for the driver and the tyres of the bus.

"They looked like they were trained and knew what they were doing but with God’s care we escaped."

Farah said she tried to contact ambulances and the police but, 15km away from the monastery, the mobile network was weak.

Interior Ministry Response
A day after the attack mourners attended the funeral for the victims at Minya’s Prince Tadros Church.

"Feelings were high. Everyone was in tears in the congregation, the deacons, and even the bishops," Father Youssef Sargious told the Weekly.

Copts in Minya see Dire Revenge killing as a right. It’s part of their culture and traditions, said Father Sargious.

Anger was not restricted to the funeral prayers. Soon it was all over social media platforms, with the hashtag of Minya trending. Inflamed tweets amplified the calls for Dire Revenge.

Two days after the attack the Ministry of Interior issued a statement saying it had killed 19 of the suspects in a shoot-out after police pursued "runaway terrorist elements" into the desert west of Minya.

Images of bodies and a tent in which the assailants were said to have been hiding were posted alongside the ministry’s statement. Guns, rifles and propaganda for the terrorist group could be seen next to the bodies.

Bishop Macarius said that some in Minya are sceptical of the Interior Ministry’s account of the tracking down of the alleged assailants.
How very odd that they’re so cynical...
People have been protesting, he said, and demanding that anyone responsible for security failings be held to account.

Following the May 2017 attack Bishop Basilios, head of the Monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor, met with Minya security officials to discuss safety and security procedures around the monastery. The monastery made a number of requests, including paving the 30km-long access road to the monastery, improving the mobile network along the road and deploying CCTV surveillance cameras at the entrance to the monastery.

Security officials promised to take the necessary actions and it was reported that LE30 million had been earmarked to pave the back road to the monastery.
Earmarks are a lovely gesture. Actually spending the money for the purpose is something else altogether. Has the money been spent for the purpose?
Father Sargious says officials in Minya have promised to build a cemetery in the centre of Minya governorate in which the deaders can be buried.
And was this year’s crop of martyrs buried in the promised cemetary, or does that promise also remain unkept?

Minya attack: Reasonable doubts about ISIS claims
[AlAhram] Two days after the terrorist attack on 2 November in Minya the Interior Ministry announced that it had killed 19 of the murderous Moslems who ambushed Copts returning from the Monastery of St Samuel the Confessor in Gebel al-Qalamoun in Minya governorate.

This caused analysts to reassess the Moslem Brüderbund’s connection with recent events and, in particular, to posit a relationship between hard boy Moslem Brüderbund offshoots like Hasm, implicated in numerous terrorist attacks, and al-Qaeda.
"Field and technical working teams were formed immediately after the incident, with the participation of all relevant sectors of the ministry, and a plan of pursuit was devised based on information that had been gathered and the perpetrators’ likely escape route," said a statement released by the ministry.

Areas frequented or used as bases by the suspects were combed, especially the remote areas murderous Moslems use as hideouts or as staging posts for their attacks.

US 'war on terror' has killed 500,000 people: Study
Y’all misunderstand. The point is that waging jihad on America is much more costly to the Ummah than it is to the Great Satan, not to mention that our rubble is quickly rebuilt — see for example the Pentagon or the Twin Towers in New York City — while yours remains picturesque ruins for the edification of future generations. Unless y’all surrender completely, in which case the rebuilding that occurs will be allowed to remain rebuilt.
[AlAhram] About half a million people have died violently in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistain due to the US "war on terror" that was launched following the September 11 attacks in 2001, according to a study released Thursday.

The report by Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs put the corpse count at between 480,000 and 507,000 people -- but said the actual number is likely higher.

The new toll "is a more than 110,000 increase over the last count, issued just two years ago in August 2016," Brown said in a statement.

"Though the war on terror is often overlooked by the American public, press and politicians, the increased body count signals that, far from diminishing, this war remains intense."

The corpse count includes myrmidons, local police and security forces, civilians and US and allied troops.

The report's author, Neta Crawford, said many of those reported by US and local forces as Lions of Islam may actually have been civilians.

"We may never know the total direct corpse count in these wars," Crawford wrote.

"For example, tens of thousands of civilians may have died in retaking djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and other cities from ISIS but their bodies have likely not been recovered."

The report states that between 182,272 and 204,575 civilians have been killed in Iraq, 38,480 in Afghanistan, and 23,372 in Pakistain.

Nearly 7,000 US troops have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The tally does not include all people who have died indirectly as a result of war, including through a loss of infrastructure or disease.

Which brings up the question: Does this tally include the Muslims killed by Al Qaeda and Daesh for breaking Shariah law? Then The half million number seems believable.

One point - These Islamo-nazis are much better at killing their fellow Muslims than unbelievers.

#6  It seems to include everybody killed under every circumstance in which the US was even tangentially involved in the conflict. But honestly, even so, considering the next population of the countries involved in many hundreds of millions, and it has taken about 17 years to get to that number, that's really not very many at all. Half a million sounds like a lot, but it's actually less than a tenth of a percent of the involved populations over 17 years, a period that has seen a generation born and grow to adulthood (in countries where a 17 year old is still forced to grow up under most circumstances, unlike in the US).

Govt will make an example of those who challenge the state's writ: minister of state
[DAWN] Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi, while addressing the Senate on Thursday, warned that the government would make an example out of anyone who will try to take the law into their own hands.

Speaking on the agreement between the government and the leadership of the Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) to end the protests against Aasia Bibi's acquittal, Afridi said that the state had only signed the document because 'Naya Pakistain' does not believe in bloodshed.

Shortly after the Supreme Court’s verdict on Oct 31, TLP had blocked roads in major cities of the country for three days, condemning the judges who had acquitted Aasia Bibi, the prime minister and the army chief.

The TLP had called off the protests after striking a deal with the government. Under the five-point agreement, the government said it would not object to the review petition filed against the acquittal of the Christian woman and would "initiate a legal process" to place her name on the ECL.

[PRESSTV] The United States wants Russia to allow Israeli warplanes to continue attacking Iranian advisors in Syria, as Israel fears it can no longer enter the Arab country’s airspace after Moscow’s supplied Damascus with advanced S-300 air defense systems.

Court Told How Chivayo Squandered U.S.$5 Million Zimbabwe Power Company Cash
[All Africa] Details emerged before a Harare court Wednesday on how controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo allegedly squandered a US$5m advance payment by the Zim-bob-we Power Company (ZPC).

The youthful tycoon is denying the charges.

Chivayo was awarded a $200m tender by ZPC to develop a solar power plant in Gwanda to help alleviate electricity supply shortages in the country.

He was given a $5m advance for commencement work but allegedly squandered the cash personal pursuits unrelated to the tender.

Chivayo appeared before Harare magistrate Lazini Ncube Wednesday but the case did not progress beyond the pleading stage after the businessman filed for excerption to the charges.

He is charged with money laundering, contravening the Exchange Control Act and fraud.

"I plead not guilty to the charges," the youthful tycoon said.

The case was then was remanded to November 15 when a ruling on his exception application will be delivered.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Senate, Odius Sepulcher called for war against the Visigoths...
prosecutor Venerandah Munyoro told Court that Chivayo spent the part of the money buying tickets to bring back home Zim-bob-wean women who had been trafficked to Kuwait.

"The paper trail indicates that the accused used the funds meant for feasibility study and pre-commencement work for his own personal benefit," said Munyoro.

"(He diverted the funds) to various individuals and companies that were not involved in the intended activities for which pre-funding was intended targeted.

"Investigations have established that the funds were used to purchase vehicles and air tickets for girls stranded in Kuwait, pay school fees and as well as the settlement of civil suites."

Chivayo came to the rescue of 32 Zim-bob-wean women who were lured to Kuwait to work as housemaids but ended up being abused as sex slaves in April 2016.

Lawyer Says Frenchman Accused of Gaza Gun-Running was 'Tricked'
[An Nahar] A Frenchie formerly employed by his country's Jerusalem consulate and accused by Israel of smuggling guns between the Paleostinian territories will argue he was "tricked," his lawyer said Wednesday.

Romain Franck, who worked as a driver for the consulate, is standing trial for exploiting reduced security checks for diplomats to transport 70 pistols and two automatic rifles from the Gazoo Strip to the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

The Shin Bet internal security agency said Franck, who was tossed in the slammer

in February, was motivated by money in the five instances he smuggled guns for a network involving several Paleostinians.

Speaking after a hearing at the district court in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, Franck's lawyer Kenneth Mann stressed that his client's actions were not those of an ideologue seeking to empower Paleostinian snuffies in their battle with Israel.

Mann said his client had been "tricked" by his alleged Paleostinian accomplices.

"He was scared, he is young and inexperienced," Mann told news hounds.

"He has no ideological or political involvement in the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict."

The Shin Bet said Franck had been paid a total of around $5,500 for his efforts.

Israeli officials have stressed he acted on his own without the consulate's knowledge, adding that diplomatic relations with La Belle France were not affected.

Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Thursday after Americans voted in the 2018 midterm elections that marked the first major voter test of Trump's presidency.

Trump on Wednesday hailed "tremendous success" in the mid-term elections despite losing the House of Representatives to the Democrats in the November 6 vote. The Republicans, however, consolidated their grip on the Senate.

Petition regarding Lahore police's inaction against TLP leaders fixed for hearing
[DAWN] A sessions court in Lahore on Thursday fixed for hearing a petition against police officials for their failure to register a case against Tehrik-e-Labbaik Pakistain (TLP) chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi, Tehrik-e-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) head Ashraf Jalali and others for threatening the top judiciary and inciting the armed forces to stage a mutiny in the aftermath of Aasia Bibi's acquittal.

Filed by citizen Abdullah Malik, the petition states that the station house officer (SHO) of Civil Lines cop shoppe in Lahore had failed to file a first information report (FIR) against the aforementioned leaders of religiopolitical parties.

"The local police is reluctant to take action against the accused [due to] their presence in the ruling class and having direct contacts with the police and others," the petitioner said.

A copy of the application to lodge an FIR, dated November 1 and addressed to the Civil Lines SHO, states that TLP leaders had threatened the judges of the Supreme Court, passed an edict to murder the country's Constitutional prime minister and incited their party workers to spark riots.

The petitioner prayed to the court to pass orders to ensure legal action is taken against the TLP leaders as well as police officials, if the latter are reluctant to register a criminal case against the former.

Additional Sessions Judge Mohammad Ahmed Khan Kharal accepted the petition today and directed Civil Lines SHO to furnish his report on November 14.

Trump’s policies to bring about death of US, Muslim leader Farrakhan warns
[PRESSTV] Leader of the US-based Nation of Islam Movement Louis Farrakhan has warned that President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s policies may result in the death of America.

Speaking in a Thursday presser held at Press TV headquarters in Tehran, Farrakhan said Trump’s policies are eroding trust in the US across the world.

He warned that the Trump administration's policies, including its new sanctions on the Iranian nation, will "bring about the death" of the United States.

"The policies of our government would bring about a war in the Middle East that would be a trigger to the greatest war that has ever been; the war of Armageddon spoken of in the Bible," Farrakhan said, quoting his "teacher" Elijah Muhammad, the former leader of the Nation of Islam.

"If the trigger of war in the Middle East is pulled by you using your surrogates at the insistence of Israel, then the war will trigger another kind of war, which will bring China, Russia, all of the nations into a war," Farrakhan said, addressing Trump.

"The war will end America as you know it," he said, adding "if you do not heed the warning and correct your path, death will come."

Farrakhan lashed out at the Trump administration for reimposing sanctions on Iran, saying the bans are "hurting the people of Iran," not the Iranian government, as claimed by American officials.

Yemen President Names New Defence Chiefs
[An Nahar] The Yemeni president replaced the defence minister and the army chief of staff on Thursday, as government forces press a five-month assault on the rebel-held port of Hodeida, state media said.

President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi named Mohammed al-Maqdashi as defence minister to replace Mahmoud al-Subaihi who has been detained by the rebels for years, the government-run Saba news agency reported.

Hadi had not replaced the detained minister since 2014, when the rebels overran the capital Sanaa.

The naming of a replacement comes days after neutral Oman intervened in an attempt to secure Subaihi's release.

Hadi also named Abdullah al-Nakhii as chief of staff.

A week of intense fighting for Hodeida has left hundreds of combatants dead as government forces backed by a Saudi-led coalition advance into the rebel-held port city.

Hadi last month fired his prime minister on accusations of corruption.

Houthis cuts all supply lines to Saudi Coalition troops in Hodeidah, scores toes up, Saudi jets bombard
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Houthis Movement scored an important advance on Thursday that resulted in the complete encirclement of the Saudi Coalition troops inside Hodeidah.

The Houthis released a statement this evening that said all Saudi Coalition troops inside of Hodeidah are now trapped after they cut all the supply lines to these fighters in the scenic provincial capital.

In addition to besieging the Saudi Coalition troops, the Houthis said that at least 150 members of the pro-government forces had been killed over the last few days.

Furthermore, the Houthis managed to destroy another 17 military and technical vehicles that belonged to the Saudi Coalition forces in western Yemen.

This latest news from Hodeidah comes just 48 hours after the Saudi Coalition forces broke through the frontline defenses of the Houthis at the scenic provincial capital.

Led by the Yemeni Elite Republican Guard and Southern Resistance Army, the Gulf-backed troops attempted to capture the strategic Kilo 16 area on Wednesday; however, their assault would take a disastrous turn after many of the fighters were ambushed by a large Houthi force.

Disaster struck the Saudi-backed troops when they mistakenly entered the Kilo 16 area with a large number of fighters and very little armor to protect their advancing troops.

Many of the Saudi-backed fighters were bumped off by the Houthi personnel that were hidden in several sites around the Kilo 16 area.

Fresh Saudi airstrikes leave father, five children dead in Yemen’s Hudaydah

[PRESSTV] At least six civilians have been killed when Saudi military aircraft carried out Arclight airstrikes against a residential area in Yemen’s strategic western province of Hudaydah as the Riyadh regime presses ahead with its atrocious bombardment campaign against its southern neighbor.

Saudi fighter jets conducted aerial assaults against al-Jabaliyah area in al-Tuhayat district on Thursday afternoon, an unnamed local source told Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah television network.

The source added that the airstrikes claimed the lives of a father and his five children.

Earlier in the day, Yemeni army soldiers and allied fighters from Popular Committees targeted the positions of Saudi-backed Lions of Islam loyal to Yemen's former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in the al-Matun district of the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf, killing and injuring tens of them.

Army soldiers and their allies also managed to take control of a number of areas in Soddy Arabia

Yemen Rebel Chief Vows to 'Never Surrender'

[An Nahar] Yemen's rebel chief vowed Wednesday never to surrender to Saudi-backed pro-government forces, but appeared to acknowledge his forces had lost ground in a battle for the port city of Hodeida.

"Does the enemy think that penetrating this or that area, or seizing this or that area, means we will be convinced that we should surrender and hand over control?" Abdulmalik al-Huthi said in a televised address.

"This is not happening and will not happen ever."

Yemen's military said government forces had advanced closer to the heart of Hodeida Wednesday, raising fears over civilian safety and humanitarian aid deliveries through the lifeline port city.

The Houthis, northern rustics linked to Iran, on Wednesday acknowledged incursions by the Saudi-led coalition and accused pro-government forces of provoking an escalation in violence.

58 Combatants Killed in Fighting for Yemen's Hodeida

[An Nahar] Dozens of combatants were killed as pro-government forces closed in on rebel forces in the heart of the Yemeni port city of Hodeida on Thursday, hospital sources said.

Medics at hospitals inside the city reported 47 rebels had been killed in overnight ground fighting and air raids by a Saudi-led coalition supporting the government.

Sources at hospitals in government-held areas on the outskirts said 11 soldiers had also been killed.

Over the past week, Yemeni government forces backed by coalition troops have slowly edged into the city of some 600,000 people, one of the last rebel strongholds on the Red Sea coast.

An army source in Hodeida said rebel trenches and landmines had slowed their advance into the city on Thursday.

Nearly 80 percent of Yemen's commercial imports and practically all UN-supervised humanitarian aid pass through Hodeida.

Aid groups have appealed to both the rebels and the coalition to allow civilians to escape the fighting.

The rebels have controlled Hodeida since 2014 when they overran the capital Sanaa and then swept though much of the rest of the country, triggering Saudi-led military intervention the following year and a devastating war of attrition.

Government forces backed by significant numbers of United Arab Emirates ground troops launched an offensive to retake the city in June.

Amnesty Accuses Yemen Rebels of 'Militarising' Hospital

[An Nahar] Amnesia Amnesty International accused Yemeni rebels on Thursday of "deliberate militarisation of hospitals" in the battleground city of Hodeida and called on warring parties to protect civilians.

The human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
group said the Huthi Iranian catspaws recently stationed fighters on the roof of a hospital in the May 22 district of the Red Sea port city, calling the action a "stomach-churning development".

It said the move risked "devastating consequences" for the hospital's staff and patients given the repeated use by the Saudi-led coalition supporting the government of air strikes on civilian areas.

"The presence of Huthi fighters on the hospital's roof violates international humanitarian law, but this violation does not make the hospital and the patients and medical staff lawful targets for Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. and UAE-led coalition air strikes," Samah Hadid, Amnesty's Middle East campaigns director Samah Hadid said.

"Anyone attacking a hospital under these conditions risks responsibility for war crimes.

A medical source told AFP on Wednesday that the rebels had forced medical staff out of the May 22 Hospital -- one of Hodeida's main medical facilities -- and posted snipers on the roof.

Aid groups have appealed to both the rebels and the coalition to allow civilians to escape the city of some 600,000 people.

Kurds near Turkey Border Dread Fresh Offensive
[An Nahar] Chimo Osman's children stopped going to school after Ottoman Turkish shelling struck his home in northeastern Syria, where Kurdish residents fear another military onslaught is imminent.

In recent days, cross-border Ottoman Turkish artillery fire has targeted positions held by the People's Protection Units (YPG), the main Kurdish militia in Syria.

Ankara sees the de-facto autonomous rule set up by Syrian Kurds as an encouragement to the separatists of the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

-based Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has close ties to the YPG.

The village of Ashma is nestled in olive groves in the region of Kobane and directly looks out onto the Ottoman Turkish flags and wire fencing that mark the demarcation line.

The streets of this village and others along the border are empty: "We can't even venture on the roof anymore," said Osman.

"We don't leave the house, the kids are scared," said the 38-year-old, standing on the steps leading to his front door, with his five children huddled around him.

Nobody can predict when the Ottoman Turkish forces stationed on the other side of the border will open fire, he said.

Ottoman Turkish President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First

said on October 30 that plans for an assault were complete and vowed to "destroy" the YPG, which he considers a terrorist organization.

One salvo punched a large hole in the second floor of Osman's house and several other homes in the village were damaged by Ottoman Turkish fire.

Five YPG fighters and a child have been killed in Ottoman Turkish shelling that has in recent days mostly targeted Kurdish positions in the Kobane and Tal Abyad areas, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor.

Sepoy martyred in 'unprovoked' firing by Indian forces at LoC: ISPR
[DAWN] A sepoy of Pakistain Army was martyred due to "unprovoked" firing by Indian forces in the Thub Sector of the restive Line of Control (LoC), Radio Pakistain reported on Thursday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that the martyred soldier Sepoy Zaheer Ahmed belonged to Sultanpur village of Bhimber district. He is survived by a widow.

Pakistain Army troops "retaliated effectively and engaged [the] enemy's posts involved in [the] unprovoked firing", added ISPR.

Ceasefire violations are a frequent feature along the LoC and Working Boundary despite the leadership of Pakistain Rangers and India's Border Security Forces agreeing in November 2017 that the "spirit" of the 2003 Ceasefire Agreement must be revived to protect innocent lives.

Unprovoked firing by Indian forces across the LoC had taken 832 lives, left 3,000 injured and had damaged 3,300 houses in the first half of 2017, according to the director general of the Disaster Management Authority, Zaheeruddin Qureshi.

Teenage girl consumes poison after being raped by teacher in AJK village
[DAWN] A teenaged schoolgirl consumed rat poison in an Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK) village on Thursday, less than 36 hours after she was allegedly raped by her teacher.

The girl is out of danger at a hospital and the suspect has been incarcerated
Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try!
, police said.

The 15-year-old victim, a resident of Karela Payin village of Kotli district’s Nakyal subdivision, was assaulted after 11pm on Tuesday night when her penurious parents were away from home to visit a relative in Lahore, Nakyal cop shoppe house officer (SHO) Faisal Siddique told Dawn by telephone.

Quoting from an application lodged by the victim’s father at on Thursday morning, the SHO said the girl studied in eighth grade in a state-run middle school of the area where the suspect served as a contractual teacher.

The 25-year-old suspect would off and on take the girl to his home for tuition and guidance, etc., "but we did not consider it unusual in view of his status as a teacher and spiritual father", the victim's father told the police.

On Tuesday, when the complainant and his spouse were in Lahore, the teacher rode the victim on his bike to his shop, located near his house, and raped her there, the SHO said.

He dropped her back home at about 2am on Wednesday, he added.

Upon returning home, the victim did not tell anything about her ordeal to her aunt, who was staying with the family, according to the SHO.

The girl's father said when he and his wife returned home on Wednesday evening, they inquired about their daughter's absence from home for some time the previous night.

"She was nervous and scared... and on my exhortation she narrated the ordeal she had gone through at the hands of the teacher," the complainant said, adding that they had decided then to refer the matter to the police.

However,
alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk...
at about 8am on Thursday morning, the victim consumed rat poison, apparently out of shame and fear, and was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Nakyal, he said.

SHO Faisal told Dawn that according to the provisional medical report submitted by a female medical officer at THQ Hospital, the "occurrence of sexual intercourse had been proved."

"The victim was not in a good condition when her initial statement was recorded by police at the hospital, wherein she said she trusted her teacher and did not have any idea that he would resort to such a shameful act," the official said, adding that a detailed statement would be recorded after her condition improves.

According to the SHO, the suspect was apprehended from his home in the evening.

The victim was shifted to DHQ Hospital Kotli earlier in the day and her condition was said to be stable.

Seoul Says N. Korea Asked to Delay Pompeo Talks
[An Nahar] North Korea asked the United States to delay planned high-level talks in New York this week, Seoul's top diplomat said Thursday, a day after Washington abruptly announced the meeting's postponement.

The US State Department said Wednesday that the encounter between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and top North Korean official Kim Yong Chol, initially scheduled for Thursday, had been shelved for "a later date".

No further explanation was given, but Pyongyang is demanding sanctions imposed on it over its weapons programmes are eased, while Washington insists they should stay in place until it denuclearises.

South Korean foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said it was Pyongyang that had asked for a delay.

"The US told us that it received a message from the North to postpone the meeting," Kang told politicians, according to Yonhap news agency.

South Korean reports said that Kim -- one of North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un

's right-hand men -- had been scheduled to catch a lunchtime flight from Beijing to New York on Wednesday.

But his reservation was repeatedly cancelled and rebooked on Tuesday, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported, until it was cancelled for good.

The sudden postponement came only two days after the US State Department announced Pompeo would meet the North Korean in New York to discuss progress towards denuclearisation and plans for a second summit between President Donald Trump

Syria Army Frees Druze Hostages from IS
[An Nahar] Syrian state media said Thursday the army has freed all remaining Druze women and kiddies kidnapped in July from the southern province of Sweida by the Islamic State

group.

The army "clashed directly with the IS terrorist organization, which had kidnapped women and kiddies from the Sweida province," state news agency SANA said.

Government troops "were able to liberate all the 19 hostages... and kill the terrorist kidnappers," it added.

State television broadcast images of veiled women, boys and at least one girl surrounded by men in military uniforms near a white pick-up truck in a desert landscape.

It said the images were broadcast from the desert near the ancient city of Palmyra in the center of the country.

IS jihadists kidnapped around 30 people -- mostly women and kiddies -- from Sweida in late July during the deadliest attack on Syria's Druze community of the seven-year civil war.
The Times of Israel adds:
SANA news agency said in its report that the operation occurred in the Hamima area east of the historic town of Palmyra. It said all IS fighters in the area where the hostages were held have been killed.

A Syrian opposition war monitor contradicted the reports on state media, saying IS set free the hostages in return for the government’s release of women related to IS fighters and commanders who were held by Syrian authorities as well as a monetary payment.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said it was not immediately clear how much money the government paid for the release of the hostages.

South Sudan: Girl Auctioned on Facebook for Marriage
[All Africa] Female lawyers in South Sudan are urging the government to shut down an online auction for marriage rights to a 16-year-old girl.

Monica Adhiue, acting executive director for South Sudan's National Alliance for Women Lawyers, calls the auction shocking and sad.

"The practice is a gross human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
violation and violates the rights of a girl. It does not only deprive the girl child from education and limit her future opportunities in her life, but also increases the risk of violence, jeopardizes her health, reduces the girl child to a property, and deprives her from the right to choose," Adhiue told VOA's South Sudan in Focus.

A photo from a recent Facebook post for the auction shows a tall, expressionless girl standing next to a shorter man who is smiling broadly. The post, dated Oct. 25, says the leading bidder for the girl has offered 500 cows and three cars for her, and says other men have joined or are planning to join the bidding.

Under a smiley face emoji, the post reads, "Competition is perfectly allowed in Dinka/Jieng culture." In a reference to the girl's height, it says, "The kids of the winner are guaranteed for NBA slots."

Daesh loses last bargaining chip in southern Syria, SAA prepares final offensive
[ALMASDARNEWS] The so-called "Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
" (ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) lost their last bargaining chip in southern Syria after the government forces liberated 19 civilians held hostage by the terrorist group.

The loss of these hostages could not come at a worse time for ISIS as they brace for a major assault from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies in southern Syria.

For months, ISIS has used these hostages to leverage the Syrian military to halt their operations in the al-Safa region of southern Syria.

The Syrian Army would halt their operations in October after it appeared ISIS was willing to handover the hostages and agree to be moved to the Badiya al-Sham region in western Deir Ezzor.

ISIS repeatedly reneged on any agreements and then threaten to execute the 19 hostages; this would later prompt the Syrian Arab Army to resume their strikes on the al-Safa region.

Now that the hostages are free from the ISIS terrorists, the Syrian Arab Army is preparing to launch its biggest assault on the al-Safa region.

With their 4th Armored Division fully deployed to this region, the Syrian Arab Army will not likely negotiate again with ISIS unless its to secure a permanent surrender from the terrorist group.

Tehran writes to IMO over illegal US bans on scores of Iranian ships
[PRESSTV] Tehran lodges a complaint with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) against the US over the re-imposition of sweeping sanctions, which target scores of Iranian ships as part of Washington's much-criticized push to cut off the country's oil exports.

In a tweet on Thursday, Iran's Ambassador the UK Hamid Baeidinejad said the diplomatic mission under his watch submitted a letter to the London-based body to voice Tehran's protest at the return of the unlawful US sanctions.

In the letter, Tehran's Embassy condemned "the imposition by the US of unilateral sanctions on Iran's ships as a measure that violates international maritime law and endangers maritime security."

It also called on the IMO to conduct a "special review" of the matter at its Assembly -- the organization's highest governing body.

As a specialized agency of the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
, the IMO -- which has 174 member states -- is tasked with regulating international shipping. The organization works to promote "safe, secure, environmentally sound, efficient and sustainable shipping through cooperation," as its mission statement reads.

It also addresses safety issues, environmental concerns, legal matters, technical cooperation among member states, maritime security and the efficiency of shipping.

Madagascar goes to the polls to pick president
[DAWN] ANTANANARIVO: Madagascar went to the polls on Wednesday to elect a new president, with a packed field of candidates led by three former heads of state pitching their ideas for ending a political crisis and boosting the economy.

Attempts by the most recent president, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, to change the Indian Ocean island’s electoral laws this year backfired, sparking nearly three months of sometimes violent protests in the capital Antananarivo.

The demonstrators forced Rajaonarimampianina to accept a "consensus" government tasked with organising the election in an impoverished country burdened by a long history of coups and unrest.

In addition to the three front-runners, the field includes two ex-prime ministers, pastors and a rock star. Short queues formed at several polling stations in the capital, where the interior ministry estimated turnout was around 40 per cent by midday. In Toliara, the third city in the country’s southwest, turnout had reached 68 per cent, according to the ministry, which added that voting was proceeding without incident.

NSA recruits High School Students... Mature enough?

The link in the tweet is being reworked, but more information is available here. It looks like a typical work-study program for local students, where the kids take their regular classes in the morning and work at the NSA in various capacities in the afternoon during their senior year, then work full time during the summer. According to the web page, the program is over three decades old, suggesting that the selected participants are indeed mature enough. Mr. Wife did something similar in medical research when he was in high school and college, though he started in the summer before his junior year... and did not need a security clearance. See here for details.

Israeli spyware may have helped Saudi Arabia track, kill Khashoggi: Snowden
Not that Mr Snowdon knows more about it than you or I at this point...
He speaks with his master’s voice.
[PRESSTV] Former US National Security Agency contractor and whistle-blower Edward Snowden says Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...

...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor....
’s largest city of Istanbul last month.

Addressing a conference in Tel Aviv via a video call from Russia, Snowden said Pegasus spyware, developed by Israeli cyberarms firm NSO Group, was used to track opponents.

"The Saudis, of course, knew that Khashoggi was going to go to the consulate, as he got an appointment. But how did they know his intention and plans?" he said.

Snowden went on to say that the smartphone of one of Khashoggi's friends, who was living in exile in Canada, had been infected with Pegasus spyware.

In West Bank town, Palestinians celebrate family member’s ascent to Capitol Hill
[IsraelTimes] Congresswoman-elect Rashida Tlaib has expressed support for a one-state solution and an end to US military aid to Israel, but her Paleostinian relatives are more circumspect

In a small home overlooking a major thoroughfare in the West Bank that connects Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, the Tlaib family gathered Wednesday to celebrate their relative’s electoral victory ‐ 6,000 miles away in Michigan’s 13th Congressional district.

Drinking coffee and eating celebratory chocolates with cousins and other extended family in Beit Ur al-Foqa, Bassam Tlaib said the victory of his niece Rashida Tlaib in the US midterm elections was a "great source of pride."

Iraq
Car bomb blast kills 3, wounds 12 in Iraq's Mosul
[PRESSTV] At least three people have been killed and a dozen others maimed Thursday after a boom-mobile went kaboom! near a restaurant in the Iraqi city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
in a rare terrorist attack since ISIS faceless myrmidons were flushed out last year.

The boom-mobile went off around dinner time at a restaurant in Iraq's second biggest city, Iraq's security services said in a statement.

It is not yet clear whether the victims were civilians or combatants, but witnesses in Mosul said the restaurant is known to be frequented by security personnel.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast, but ISIS Death Eaters have continued to wage guerrilla-like attacks across Iraq after losing their control over large swathes of lands in the Arab country.

Rights Body Fears Execution of 12 Saudi Shiites 'Imminent'
[An Nahar] Amnesia Amnesty International said on Wednesday it feared 12 minority Shiites in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
faced "imminent" execution after their cases were transferred to a powerful security body that reports directly to the king.

The men, sentenced to death in a mass trial in 2016 after being convicted of spying for regional rival Iran, have been handed over to the "Presidency of State Security", which was set up last year by combining all counterterrorism and domestic intelligence services.

"The families of the men are terrified by this development and the lack of information provided to them on the status of the cases of their loved ones," said Heba Morayef, Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa director.

"Given the secrecy surrounding Saudi Arabia's judicial proceedings, we fear that this development signals the imminent execution of the 12 men."

Morayef added that the men were sentenced to death after a "grossly unfair mass trial".

Saudi officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Shiite protesters have periodically staged demonstrations in the kingdom's eastern region, complaining of discrimination by the Sunni-dominated government, a charge the authorities deny.

The Shiite community is estimated to make up between 10 and 15 percent of the kingdom's population of 32 million, but the government has released no official statistics.

Europe
N. Korean Worker Files Polish Shipyard 'Slavery' Claim
Oughtn’t he complain to his Government of North Korea work unit, which after all is the group responsible for renting his labour and taking almost all of his pay on behalf of that self-same government? This is what Socialism/Communism is all about, after all: from each according to his ability, to each according to his need. “Need” not being anything like him receiving the full market value of his labour, I’m afraid.
[An Nahar] A North Korean worker with a Dutch company operating at a Polish shipyard has filed a lawsuit alleging inhumane and slavelike conditions, his lawyer said Thursday.

The unnamed worker from the impoverished communist state was working for the company in the Baltic Sea port of Gydnia, which makes parts for international shipping firms.

"A North Korean worker, who has worked for years in conditions similar to slavery for the Polish company Crist S.A., has lodged a case against a Dutch company that has been repairing and building ships there for years," Dutch law firm Prakken d'Oliveira said.

The North Korean worker filed the case in the Netherlands and not Poland because Dutch law lets people sue companies that gain benefit from the exploitation of employees, lawyer Barbara van Straaten from the Prakken d'Oliveira firm said.

Crist currently employs between 50-70 Poles.

The lawyer said the name of the Dutch firm involved in the case was not being made publicly available for now to avoid any interference with the investigation.

"It’s difficult for me to comment on this concrete case," Tomasz Wrzask, a Crist S.A. company front man, was quoted as saying by Polish daily Gazeta Wyborcza.

North Korea's use of overseas workers has been well documented, but estimates on their numbers vary greatly.

The Seoul-backed Korean Institute for National Unification quoted defectors in 2016 as saying that North Korea had a goal of sending 10,000 workers overseas each year to a total of 27 countries.

While the vast majority of workers are in North Korean allies China and Russia, labourers have been discovered in Poland in the past, drawing scrutiny in the European Parliament.

Kurdish YPG attacks HQ of Turkish-backed rebels in northwest Aleppo
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) carried out a powerful attack against a group of Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels in the northwestern countryside of Aleppo this week.

... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
(FSA) fighters using a vehicle borne improvised bomb (VBIED) in the Jandaris District of Afrin.

The VBIED attack would prove successful, as the YPG managed to kill at least two members of the Free Syrian Army, while wounding couple others that were inside the HQ.
The Times of Israel adds:
Opposition activists and paramedics reported that two blasts in rebel-held parts of northern Syria have inflicted casualties.

The Observatory said the first kaboom occurred in the northern town of Azaz wounding six children while the opposition’s Syrian Civil Defense said four were maimed including three children.

The observatory and other opposition activists reported another blast in the town of Jinderis saying a bomb went off outside an office of the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
-backed Failaq al-Sham rebel group killing three fighters and wounding seven.

Azaz and Jeideris are controlled by Turkey-backed opposition fighters. The two towns were once controlled by Kurdish fighters opposed to Turkey.

Explosions in rebel-held parts of northern Syria are not uncommon and have killed and maimed dozens in recent months.

Palestinian said killed by Israeli fire in central Gaza
[IsraelTimes] Army says troops fired at a group of Paleostinians who damaged the border fence; incident comes amid efforts to reach long-term truce in Strip

A Paleostinian man was shot and killed Thursday in the southern Gazoo Strip by Israeli troops, the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",-run health ministry in the coastal enclave said.

A ministry front man said the man, whom he did not name, was shot by Israeli forces during low-level festivities east of Deir al-Balah in central Gazoo.

The Israel Defense Forces said a group of Paleostinians approached the border fence and damaged it before soldiers opened fire "in accordance with the rules of engagement."

The man would be the first Paleostinian to die from IDF fire in Gazoo in 10 days, as both Israel and Hamas have been negotiating a truce via Egyptian mediators.

The incident came as the Hamas-run ministry said a Paleostinian shot last month during protests on the Israel-Gazoo border succumbed to his wounds.

Ahmad al-Najar, 21, was shot by Israeli fire east of Khan Younis and was later transferred to the West Bank for treatment, a health ministry front man said in a statement.

He died on Wednesday, the front man added.

Over 160 Paleostinians have been killed by Israeli fire since the start of weekly border festivities in March, according an News Agency that Dare Not be Named tally, including a number of people who broke through the fence into Israel. Dozens of the fatalities were Hamas members. An Israeli soldier was killed by a Paleostinian sniper.
Iran PressTV adds:
A front man from the Gazoo Ministry of Health named the victim as 'Alaa Abu Sherbin, a teenage boy.

Witnesses and local residents said that three others also sustained injuries as heavily-armed Israeli soldiers used live ammunition to disperse the peaceful protesters.

Europe
Italy’s senate passes tough anti-migrant decree
[DAWN] The Italian senate on Wednesday cleared the way for far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini’s tough anti-migrant and security decree to become law following a confidence vote.

The populist government of Salvini’s League and Luigi Di Maio’s anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S) won the vote with 163 senators for, 59 against ‐ including five M5S members ‐ and 19 abstentions.

The lower house of parliament now has until the end of November to approve the decree, which the coalition first put forward in September and makes it easier to expel migrants colonists and strip them of Italian citizenship.

Salvini tweeted that it was a "historic day" after the senate vote.

The government opted for a confidence vote to get the decree through the senate after M5S members tabled a slew of amendments. It should have no problem passing the lower house given the coalition’s majority.

Woman killed on court premises in KP
[DAWN] MINGORA: A man stabbed his wife to death on the district court premises here on Wednesday.

The local lawyers boycotted court proceedings to protest security lapse.

Saidu Sharif cop shoppe officials said that Arif, a resident of Kokarai village, stabbed his wife to death on the district court premises.

"Due to domestic problems the women identified as Uzma, wanted to get divorce from the man for which she had filed a case in the court," said Saidu Sharif cop shoppe Muhrar Allam Khan.

He said that on Wednesday morning when the woman entered district courts, her husband attacked her with a dagger.

The woman went titzup while police jugged
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
the man and shifted him to cop shoppe for further investigation, he added. The district bar association has termed the incident a result of weak security system in the courts. The lawyers boycotted court proceedings on Wednesday and announced to continue the boycott on Thursday.

"Police have failed to provide security to people in the courts. Bringing any type of weapon to district courts is strictly prohibited. Despite having proper security scanners and checking system, the man entered the courts and killed his wife," said Sohail Sultan, vice president of the district bar association.

Woman at Center of Pakistani Blasphemy Row Leaves Jail
[An Nahar] A Pak Christian woman who spent eight years on death row for blasphemy has been sprung from jail after an acquittal that triggered Islamist protests, but is still in Pakistain, officials said Thursday amid appeals for her to be offered asylum.

Asia Bibi's conviction was overturned by the country's highest court last Wednesday, but she remained in prison as the government negotiated with hardliners who blockaded major cities and demanded her immediate execution.

Thousands of supporters of Islamist parties erupted into the streets of Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
Thursday to protest Bibi's acquittal and call for her beheading.

"We can sacrifice our lives but can never compromise on the honor of the prophet," said a speaker at the protest.

The demonstration comes hours after Bibi was flown from the central city of Multan
Home of the Multan Sultans...
where she was in jug to a "safe" place elsewhere in Pakistain.

"She has been sprung," her lawyer Saif-ul-Mulook said in a text message to AFP. "I have been told that she is on a plane but nobody knows where she will land."

Following protests at last week's ruling, the government agreed in a deal with Islamists to impose a travel ban on Bibi, and not to challenge a review of the Supreme Court's ruling.

One of the most vocal groups in the protests -- the Tehrik-e-Labaik Pakistain (TLP) -- called for "mutiny" against the army's top brass and the liquidation of the top court's justices.

Following Bibi's release, the TLP vowed to return to the streets if she was allowed to leave the country.
If she leaves the country it's harder to kill her.
"If the promise is broken and she is sent abroad, then Allah willing, a movement will start and it will be decisive," said TLP leader Afzal Qadri, after an earlier message from the group accused the government of reneging on the agreement.

Foreign ministry front man Muhammad Faisal on Thursday denied media reports that Bibi had left the country, telling AFP: "She is in Pakistain".

#1  My God is so powerful that He does not want me, nor does He need me or anyone else to help Him to execute His judgement on those who fail to honor Him as He should be honored.
My God makes His own judgements and executes them without ever consulting with me.
So I am content to sit back and watch God execute His judgement and do all of the heavy lifting in regards to judging all of His people all over the world.
Sometimes I think God just uses drone zaps out of the sky to execute His justice.
But that is just my personal prejudice because, after all, "Who am I?" to understand what the mind and the will of God is?

So why are all of these Muslim zealots so concerned about one poor christian pakistani mother that they feel they have to be the one to execute god's judgement on her in order to uphold the honor of their god allah or on behalf of his prophet?
It just makes no sense to me.
