Lawmakers mark D-Day anniversary with Normandy parachute jump
[FOX] Two military veterans who now serve in Congress joined together for a bipartisan parachute jump in Normandy on Sunday to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

"It was deeply moving," Florida Republican Rep. Michael Waltz, a Green Beret who served in Afghanistan, said in a statement to Fox News. "It was an unforgettable experience to make the same jump so many brave men made to defend Europe and the world during World War II."

Fox News Stars Begin Pushing Rumors About 'Low Energy' Joe's Health
[Daily Beast] One month after Joe Biden announced his run for president, several Fox News stars have already begun quietly pushing rumors that the 76-year-old ex-veep is in poor health.

Since the end of May, Fox Business Network and Fox News star Lisa "Kennedy" Montgomery and Fox News prime-time host Sean Hannity have speculated on-air, on at least four separate occasions, that the current Democratic presidential frontrunner is secretly dealing with health issues, often comparing his condition to illness-related conspiracy theories the network pushed about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

The Biden rumor-mongering seemingly began May 29, during the broadcast of Fox News’ afternoon gabfest The Five. While assessing Biden’s candidacy, Kennedy claimed to know Democratic operatives engaged in a whisper campaign about Biden’s health.

"He is much more like Hillary Clinton, because if you talk to Democrats, who are working for different campaigns, all of the aggressive gossip whisperers‐and this is where the action is happening in terms of opposition research‐it’s people having a few drinks at a bar and whispering, ’You know there is something wrong with the former vice president,’" she claimed. "But that’s what they are actively doing right now. And it is surprising because they are concerned with taking Biden down and getting their candidate out there."

Co-host Jesse Watters, an avid Trump booster, pressed Kennedy to elaborate. "Don’t do it," co-host Greg Gutfeld joked to Kennedy, acknowledging the danger in openly speculating about Biden being sick.

The innuendo seemed to go over the head of Watters, however, as he took it upon himself to explain "the gossip" about Biden as involving his support from black voters. Gutfeld laughed, remarking: "I don’t think that’s what Kennedy meant."

"I was thinking more along the lines of Hillary Clinton having a lumpy overcoat in 85-degree weather," Kennedy explained, invoking a popular 2016 right-wing conspiracy theory fixated on a photo of Clinton wearing a wool jacket with a lump on the back while campaigning in warm weather.

"He looks healthy to me," Watters‐surprisingly‐replied.

Home Front: Culture Wars
Wake Up America, the Trojan Horse is here
[Amil Imani] With the arrivals of massive Muslims to America, our culture and our way of life forever altered. By now, most Americans know that Islam and the US Constitution are incompatible. Then what should be do? We, in the United States of America need to resist Islam’s encouragement while it is still gathering momentum, unless we wish to end up in the same fix as Europe.

For instance, to ignore the smoldering fire and relying on a few local "firefighters" to keep them from spreading is either naive or outright criminal, but it is certainly the easiest thing to do. That's why I have decided to fight the fire and I am calling for help to put out Islam, the source that raises arsonists -- the minority that they may be. It takes one arsonist to set a fire that a thousand firefighters will have difficulty to put out. The few Muslims who are brave enough to advocate reform of their religion are tossed out of mosques or, very likely, much worse.

We no longer can deny that Muslim jihadists live amongst us. It is only a matter of time before they show up and expose their aggression. Jihadists deem themselves the army of Allah. They use violence as an instrument of policy. This continues to be central to Islam. Muslim jihadists and their well-paid leftist apologists use the multicultural umbrella only in non-Islamic lands to shield themselves from the torrent of legitimate criticism that those who know Islam better shower on this cult of violence peddled as the "religion of peace."

You don't need to listen to me, and don't listen to these conniving dissimulators. Please search it out for yourself. See if the euphemism of multiculturalism is ever even mentioned by any Islamic leader, is ever printed in the Islamic press, or ever appears in any form whatsoever in Muslim countries.

The West has been tolerant for so long, but "tolerance in the face of evil is not tolerance, it is a crime." It wasn’t long ago, we were defending ourselves at the Gates of Vienna from a Muslim invasion. Now, we welcome Muslims with open arms and generous welfare policies. Any push back to these open immigration practices is labeled Islamophobia, racism, bigotry, etc. But, at what cost do these changes bring?

#1  The only thing that'll work is violence. Intimidation at a level that would make the holocaust seem like detention in Customs. American people are easily guilted into accepting shit by their leaders, their media. Look at what they did with blacks. You can't even say 'blacks' without triggering most white people.

The problem of America is the decline of individual character and integrity of beliefs. A sort of passive pan-theism has settled in after the rage of apologists atheists faded. There is a rising number of satanists in America today. The churches themselves were not much of an inspiration by themselves, local pastors and preachers going the sweet gravy train way and ending up as embarrassments or with bullet holes. Some gravitated to the 'Benny Hinn' model of capitalist cultism. It is understandable that some Americans feel the Bible is bust by now. But only by turning toward the God who established America can it be saved again. I know it sounds silly. And may not be hip and amusing, but it's life and death now. Individual people, men and women in Washington, working for law, health, schools, military...

They shall find the strength of character and wisdom necessary to fight this evil, and others plaguing America. Islam can then reform itself in it's own time. We won't have to care.

Stocks Soar In Biggest Weekly Gain Of The Year
[Zach's] Stocks surged on Friday, capping off the market's best week of the year!

While Friday's Employment Situation Report came in lighter than expected (90,000 private sector jobs vs. the 175,000 consensus), it was sharply higher than the 27,000 private sector jobs that the ADP report had predicted.

Total nonfarm payrolls came in at 75,000 (that's a gain of 90,000 private sector jobs, but a loss of -15,000 public sector jobs). The unemployment rate remained steady at 3.6%, a near 50-year low. The biggest jobs creators came from Professional and Business Services with 33,000 new jobs (+498K in the last 12 months), Health Care with 16,000 (+391K in the last 12 months), and Construction with 4,000 (215K in the last 12 months).

As I mentioned on Thursday, a blowout jobs report would likely send the market soaring. But an underperforming report could have the same effect since it would increase the likelihood that the Fed might cut rates sooner rather than later.

Ever since the Fed suggested, last Tuesday, that a rate cut might be forthcoming, stocks surged higher. And Friday's jobs report gave the Fed plenty of ammo to follow through on that.

Traders were also watching developments regarding tariffs on Mexico. Optimism was growing on Friday that a deal would be struck and tariffs would be averted. And on Friday evening, that optimism was proven correct.

While that doesn't preclude the administration from using the threat of tariffs again in the future, it does remove the immediate threat of tariffs at this juncture, and gives the market one less thing to worry about.

Great Lakes Reveal a Fatal Flaw in Climate Change ‘Science'
[Issues&Insights] Lake Erie and Lake Superior ‐ two of the five that make up the Great Lakes ‐ broke records for water levels this May. Lakes Michigan and Huron could follow suit.

Naturally, climate change is getting the blame. "We are undoubtedly observing the effects of a warming climate in the Great Lakes," says Richard Rood, a University of Michigan climate scientist.

But just a few years ago, climate scientists were insisting that a warming climate would cause water levels to decline.

In 2008, Science Daily reported on a study that attributed the decline in Great Lakes water levels to global warming. The researchers who conducted the study said that the drop "raised concern because the declines are consistent with many climate change predictions."

In 2009, Columbia University’s Earth Institute informed us that "most climate models suggest that we may see declines in lake levels over the next 100 years; one suggests that we may see declines of up to 8.2 feet."

In 2011, the Union of Concern Scientists said that "scientists expect water levels in the Great Lakes to drop in both summer and winter, with the greatest declines occurring in Lakes Huron and Michigan."

In 2013, the Natural Resources Defense Council said that "it’s no secret that, partially due to climate change, the water levels in the Great Lakes are getting very low."

That same year, Think Progress reported that "Several different climate models for the Great Lakes region all predict that lake levels will decline over the next century."

Since the Great Lakes account for 21% of the world’s surface fresh water, these stories were all wrapped in doom-and-gloom scenarios about the impact on drinking water, shipping, recreation, and so on.

The very next year, however, water levels started rising.
So what are scientists saying now? Simple. They’re now claiming that the fall and rise of Great Lakes’ water levels are due to climate change.

"Climate change is driving rapid shifts between high and low water levels on the Great Lakes," is the new "consensus."

So what are scientists saying now? Simple. They’re now claiming that the fall and rise of Great Lakes’ water levels are due to climate change.
Climate change science? Pah and snort.

Muellering along, exploited cell phone GPS to track Trump associates
[WashingtonTimes] Uranium One Robert Mueller says he was able to pinpoint security company executive Erik Prince's precise location for several hours in January 2017 by matching his mobile phone signal to a cell site near Trump Tower in New York City.

The special counsel's report discloses the use of this investigative technique, by which police determine a suspect';s location via a cell phone GPS signal.

The Prince narrative is one instance in unredacted sections of the report in which Mr. Mueller's team explicitly disclosed cell phone tracking. It raises the question of whether the FBI applied the process to other victims investigative subjects a phone's GPS signal can disclose its exact location within a few feet. One of the first requests the FBI makes when confronting subjects is to ask for their electronic devices.

The fact Mr. Mueller could pinpoint Mr. Prince's exact whereabouts suggest he used GPS readouts, which prosecutors can subpoena from cellular service providers.

Martin Luther King, Jr.: The Bombshell the Media Refuse to Handle
[American Thinker] The world media, except in the U.S., are awash in the depressing, deplorable, and disturbing revelations about Martin Luther King, Jr. David J. Garrow, King's friendly and liberal official biographer, revealed up to 45 sexual encounters by King and the observation of and encouragement by King of the rape of a church member by her pastor ‐ all supported by FBI surveillance tapes.

One FBI memo reported, "King maintains intimate relationships with at least three women, one in Atlanta, one in Mt Vernon, New York, and one in Washington, DC," making him susceptible to blackmail. He also had a longtime mistress in Los Angeles, wife of a dentist, in addition to his many one-night stands. It goes on and on. In 2010, Kentucky state senator Georgia Davis Powers recounted her intimate relationship with King in her book, I Shared the Dream.

Garrow also reported about King's "love child" with a girlfriend in Los Angeles, and King "continued to support this child" and called the mother every Wednesday.

When Coretta King complained about her husband's affairs, he told her she "should go out and have some sexual affairs of her own." According to one of my contacts, Coretta got fed up and went after Martin with a butcher's knife. He wrote me, saying, "I am from Atlanta, and my grandmother's neighbor was head of nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital [now Emory St. Joseph's]. One morning, she told my grandmother that they had brought MLK into the emergency room the night before because "Coretta caught him with another woman and cut him up with a butcher's knife."

(3) The report mixes the criminal rape info alongside the cheating info as if the two are somehow equal which is bizarre and tone-deaf and smacks of throwing mud at the wall to see what sticks.

So basically this is old news with a side of bullcrap that folks aren't buying. The real question is why?

Germany fights to salvage Iran nuclear deal as deadline looms
[DW] German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has arrived in Iran, looking for "constructive ways" to save the 2015 nuclear deal. DW takes a look at the timing of his visit, the various actors involved and their goals.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on Monday met with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and President Hassan Rouhani.

Maas is trying to salvage a 2015 deal between Iran and a group of world powers that curtailed Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions. The accord has been on the verge of collapse since the United States withdrew from it last year and reapplied economic sanctions on the country.

Mexico To Send National Guard To Southern Border
[Hot Air] Mexico is going to send its National Guard to their border with Guatemala. Mexico Ambassador to the U.S Martha Bárcena Coqui told CBS’ Face the Nation their own National Guard will deploy Monday to stop illegal immigration.

Bárceni Coqui declined to release the number of military police headed to the Guatemalan border, although Reuters reported on Friday there could be 6000 officers headed to the area.

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador aka AMLO is hedging his bets massively on why they’re going.

Carter Page: FBI Informant 'Intensified' Outreach Before Spy Warrant Application
[Daily Caller] Carter Page said Sunday that his contacts with Stefan Halper, an alleged FBI informant, "intensified" in the month before the U.S. government obtained its first spy warrant against the former Trump campaign aide.
Useful idiot and clandestine wanna-be at the graphic.
"My conversations with him intensified right, the month before my illegitimate FISA warrant, in September 2016, when all these defamatory articles were being placed by the DNC," Page said in an interview with Maria Bartiromo on "Fox Sunday Futures."

The FBI obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant against Page on Oct. 21, 2016. The application for the FISA relied heavily on information from Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled the anti-Trump dossier on behalf of the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign.

Page’s remarks raise the possibility that the FBI also used information from Halper, a former Cambridge professor, in its efforts to collect information for the FISA application. Halper, who served in three Republican administrations and was reportedly an FBI informant for two decades, had contact during the 2016 campaign with Page and two other Trump advisers, Sam Clovis and George Papadopoulos. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Cambridge Prof With CIA, MI6 Ties Made Contact With Trump Aide During Campaign, Beyond)

Halper and Page first met before a political event at Cambridge on July 10, 2016, three weeks before the FBI officially opened its investigation of the Trump campaign’s possible links to Russia.

Page has told The Daily Caller News Foundation that he and Halper spoke one-on-one at the event, which spanned several days. The FBI has yet to explain why an FBI informant met with Halper before the official opening of Crossfire Hurricane, the code name for the Trump-Russia probe.

Page and Halper met for the second time on Aug. 20, 2016, when Page visited the former professor at his farm in Virginia. They remained in contact through September 2017, the month that the fourth and final FISA warrant against Page expired.

Home Front: Culture Wars
It's Happening: People are Canceling Netflix and Disney‐and the Revenue Losses Are Growing by the Hour
[PJ] Streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus never waste an opportunity to tell the American public living in red states how much they hate them. From Netflix showing movies that could meet the legal definition of sexual assault of children to making cartoons about babies in drag (while ignoring customer concerns) to Disney's CEO complaining about Alabama abortion laws, people are sick of their entertainment companies pushing a hard-left agenda.

Now these services are not only going after conservative values but are actively trying to harm conservative states, reports Fox News. "Earlier this week, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos issued a statement on the growing movement in Hollywood to boycott Georgia over the new pro-life legislation which prohibits abortions if a baby's heartbeat is detected, which is roughly six weeks into the pregnancy."

Disney's CEO has also threatened to stop filming in states where abortion is illegal, which is a head-scratcher considering this guy runs a company that depends on little kids as customers. Why would he try to reduce the population of his fan base? Fox News also reported that all of these companies claiming they care about "women's rights" to kill their offspring have partnered with countries like Egypt, where abortions are also illegal, and China, where human rights abuses are well documented.

Aping these platforms, almost every non-American web-series too by now has its own resident faggot couples, peaceful muslim wooing white women, the good-looking islamist, ghetto-boy high achiever, 'principled' black family facing racism and occasional anti-Trump rants sewn in. Not to mention the 'evils' that white men and Christians are always up to. You know these patterns by now. So it is virulent and has already spread. I agree with you that it'll have little effect on the global market - but on the other hand, right now there's, what - 6 or 7 states passing these laws, and a lot more paying close attention before passing their own. #4  Best way to deal with all these people is to raise a middle index finger to the Euro ruling caste and tell them we are returning to the original American standard of copyright. 14 years to the creator and and an additional 14 years upon application of the individual artist/author. Suddenly, what they debased into the hated 'royal patents' would cut their revenue sources and estimated return on investment for new projects back to what an 'entertainment' industry is really worth to a culture and society.

Iran ammonium-nitrate stash in London and around the world ignored for 2015 Iran deal
[Twitter and Telegraph - behind a paywall] Terrorists linked to Iran were caught stockpiling tonnes of explosive materials on the outskirts of London in a secret British bomb factory, The Daily Telegraph can reveal.

Radicals linked to Hizbollah, the Lebanese militant group, stashed thousands of disposable ice packs containing ammonium nitrate - a common ingredient in homemade bombs.

The plot was uncovered by MI5 and the Metropolitan Police in the autumn of 2015, just months after the UK signed up to the Iran nuclear deal. Three metric tonnes of ammonium nitrate was discovered - more than was used in the Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people and damaged hundreds of buildings.

Bangladesh
PM Hasina accuses Myanmar of being reluctant in taking Rohingyas back
[Dhaka Tribune] Prime Minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina
...Bangla dynastic politician and current Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She has been the President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She has once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia show such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums..
has accused Myanmar of being reluctant in repatriating over a million Rohingya nationals defying their promise and feared that some international aid agencies to tend to keep the crisis alive.

"The problem lies with Myanmar as they don’t want to take back the Rohingyas by any means though Naypyidaw
...generally translated as royal capital, seat of the king or abode of kings because the general in charge had a massive ego. It was founded in 2002 because Rangoon was worn out. Traditionally, Naypyidaw was used as a suffix to the names of royal capitals, such as Mandalay, which was called Yadanabon Naypyidaw in Burmese...
signed an agreement with Bangladesh promising to repatriate them," she said while briefing media at her residence Ganabhaban on Sunday.

The premier simultaneously feared that some international aid and voluntary agencies too were unwilling to resolve the crisis saying: "They never want the refugees to return their home."

"This is what I see," Sheikh Hasina told the presser, a day after her return home following her tri-nation tour to Japan, Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and Finland, reports BSS.

Asked for comments about a perception that three major countries ‐ China, Japan and India ‐ took Myanmar’s side in the crisis, the premier said Dhaka separately held talks with these countries where all of them acknowledged Rohingyas as Myanmar nationals and agreed that they should return there.

"(But) they (three countries) simultaneously argued that if all of them confront Myanmar over the issue, then who will be there to convince them (Naypyidaw)," she said.

The global media agenda to 'humanize' them is based only on muslim activists and know-nothing bleeding hearts who they put up the victim act for. Why would countries that typically tolerate crime and terrorism on a daily basis selectively throw out these bastards ? A lady like Suu Kyi, known for her patience and perseverance wanted their removal, by buddhists no less. They're the Myanmar cousins of the Chinese Uighur, which are in aspect the same as them. Hence the big enforcement on Xinjiang by the CCP. If they could escape world ridicule, these nations would simply annihilate these communities.

#7  An October 2012 report:
Oo Hla Saw blamed local authorities for failing to heed rumors of impending violence, and Islamist radicals for inflaming tensions. For many Rakhines, he adds, the term Rohingya has jihadist overtones associated with the "Mujahid," autonomy-seeking rebels in northern Rakhine State from 1949 to 1961, who called themselves ethnic Rohingya. (Independent historians say the rebels did popularize the term "Rohingya," but cite a few references to it since the 18th century.)
Even today, Oo Hla Saw said, the Rohingya want "to set up an autonomous Islamic community. They are systematically scheming to do that."

German circus goes cruelty-free and replaces animals with holograms
[NYPOST] Ah, the circus. It’s a time-honored tradition, but the practice of training animals to do silly things for the amusement of youngsters is definitely old-fashioned and there are many reasons why it’s not a popular as it once was.
Most notably a rise in ticket prices well beyond affordability, and an all-out assault by PETA.
The treatment of circus animals is one of the biggest criticisms of modern circus companies and many people don’t feel that animals should be forced to perform for our entertainment.
I took my wife and daughter to see the Moscow Circus, many years ago, in a saner age. It was a cultural exchange group made up of regional circuses in the Soviet Union, and it played the Kennedy Center. They had one guy who had trained cats (as in house cats) to do handstands. But, really, the kitties shouldn't have been forced to perform for our entertainment. What the hell is a four-year-old girl's smile worth, anyway?
Germany’s Circus Roncalli has heard those criticisms and taken them to heart. You can still go to a Roncalli performance and see animals like elephants and horses, only now the animals won’t actually be real, they’ll be high-definition holograms.
My attendance will be pretend, too.
The company phased out using live animals in its shows back in 2017, but the addition of holograms is a relatively new development.
Stupid, but new.
Roncalli partnered with a company called Bluebox to install a holographic display system built by Optoma. A total of 11 Optoma devices make up the system and the results are truly something to behold.
But I won't behold them, and my daughter's daughter will never see a house cat do a hand stand.

Dick Morris: The Brits Played A Large Role In The Russian Collusion Hoax
[Red State] Obviously, much of the spying, the use of FBI informants to infiltrate the Trump campaign, took place on British soil. The incident that the FBI claims triggered them to open an counterintelligence investigation into candidate Donald Trump, a conversation between Australian diplomat Alexander Downer and Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos, took place in a London bar. Stefan Halper, a professor at Cambridge University, met with several Trump campaign junior advisors in London as well.

We also know that the day after Peter Strzok, who at the time led the FBI’s Counterespionage Division, opened the investigation into the Trump campaign, he hopped on a plane to London. We know from texts between Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page he was accompanied by another, more senior FBI official as well. Testimony from other FBI officials have pointed to a London connection as well.

In the video below, political analyst Dick Morris discusses the role played by the British intelligence community in the hoax against candidate Trump and the reasons why the Brits were strongly hoping for a Hillary Clinton victory. Trump worried the British elite, Morris says. "He questioned the value of NATO, he said it might be obsolete. He openly endorsed Brexit which they strongly opposed...Then, when he started to say nice things about Putin, praising his leadership style and saying that he could do business with him, that set off alarm bells throughout London." According to Morris:

However, when I was in the Naval Reserve Intelligence program, we got a briefing every year on the laws that governed intelligence gathering in the US on US citizens. We were not allowed to gather intelligence on our own. If we suspected that our neighbor was a Russian spy, we were to call the FBI, not track him ourselves.

AOC ‘runs away’ from opponent Rich Valdes at Puerto Rican Day Parade
[NYPOST] US Rep. Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez
Dem represntative from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus. She is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details..
turned tail on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue to avoid a potential Republican challenger as they both marched in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, her political opponent said.

Talk-radio producer Rich Valdes told The Post that he tried to challenge the freshman Democratic congresswoman to a debate on the merits of capitalism versus socialism when he spotted her near West 47th Street.

But Ocasio-Cortez "cut her handshaking short, jerked her hand back and jetted to the other side of the street," Valdes said.

"She literally ran!" he said.

"I thought this was a good time to try and get a response but I honestly only saw the back of her head as she trotted across the street."

Valdes’ account was echoed by Guardian Angels founder and radio host Curtis Sliwa, who said the incident unfolded when Valdes approached the progressive firebrand
...firebrands are noted more for audio volume and the quantity of spittle generated than for any actual logic in their arguments...
about 12:30 p.m.

"As soon as she saw him she did a pirouette ‐ a spin ‐ and she ran north on Fifth Avenue, ahead of her delegation, just to get away from Rich," he said.

"I heard Rich yelling after her, ’OK, AOC. You can run ‐ but you can’t hide!'"

Sliwa’s wife, lawyer Nancy Sliwa, also snapped photos that show Valdes walking several steps behind Ocasio-Cortez, then facing the camera with a look of exasperation.

On Thursday, Valdes told members of the Queens Village Republican Club that he would move from New Jersey to Ocasio-Cortez’ district, which covers parts of The Bronx and Queens, in an effort to unseat her.

Ocasio-Cortez’s front man, Corbin Trent, denied that she bravely ran away from Valdes.

"She kept walking! The parade moved! It’s a procession! Give me a break," he said.

Trent said that Ocasio-Cortez "doesn’t owe anybody a debate," and said of Valdes: "Tell him to run for office and she’ll debate him.

YouTube blocked teachers who were uploading Hitler archival footage
[NYPOST] YouTube’s crackdown on white supremacy and hate speech has ensnared history teachers who are trying to upload archival footage of Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler.

The Google-owned platform announced a series of policy changes that will likely see hundreds of thousands of videos removed from the platform, including those that glorify the Nazis, but several historians reported that their educational videos were also swept up in the ban.

Scott Allsop, who owns the MrAllsopHistory revision website and teaches at an international school in Romania, saw his YouTube channel featuring hundreds of clips on a wide range of historical topics taken down for running afoul of the hate speech rules.

"It’s absolutely vital that YouTube work to undo the damage caused by their indiscriminate implementation as soon as possible," Allsop told The Guardian. "Access to important material is being denied wholesale as many other channels are left branded as promoting hate when they do nothing of the sort."

Allsop received a note from Google, which is led by Sundar Pichai, saying his channel was removed for sharing "content that promotes hatred or violence against members of a protected group."

Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan president sacks intelligence chief over Easter attacks probe
[DAWN] Sri Lanka’s president has sacked the national intelligence chief and will not cooperate with a parliamentary investigation into security lapses before the Easter suicide kabooms, officials said on Saturday.

Maithripala Sirisena summoned an emergency cabinet meeting on Friday night to oppose a parliamentary select committee probe into the April 21 attacks that killed 258 people, including 45 foreigners, and maimed nearly 500.

Chief of National Intelligence Sisira Mendis was sacked after testifying to the inquiry last week that the attacks could have been averted.

He also said the president had failed to hold regular security meetings to assess the threat from Islamic faceless myrmidons who carried out the bombings on three hotels and three churches.

Sirisena’s office did not give a reason for the sacking. Halfway through the testimony, the live telecast of the proceedings was stopped on the president’s orders, official sources said. A ministerial source said Sirisena has refused to allow any police, military or intelligence personnel to testify before the committee.

The source added that the heated cabinet meeting ended "inconclusively" without taking a decision on whether to suspend the parliament probe.

Sirisena’s office did not comment on the meeting, but said the president had told senior coppers on Friday that he will not allow any serving officer to testify.

FCC allows phone companies to auto-block robocalls
[NYPOST] The FCC voted Thursday to allow phone companies to block robocalls automatically for their customers.

The vote would allow phone service providers like Verizon to switch on technology that blocks robocalls, which have went kaboom! in number to about 5 billion a month nationwide.

The companies would not need their customers’ permission to block the calls.

The FCC expects companies to provide the service for free, but the vote doesn’t require them to do so. Service providers could start charging customers for the phone-blocking service, as some currently do for caller ID and other features.

FCC chairman Ajit Pai said Thursday that it’s in the best interest of the phone companies to offer the service free of charge.

"These robocalls that are being placed on their own networks are a hassle and a cost for them to handle," he said.

"There is one thing in our country today that unites Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives, socialists and libertarians, vegetarians and carnivores, Ohio State and Michigan fans: It is that they are sick and tired of being bombarded by unwanted robocalls," Pai added.

Some carriers already allow phone-call blocking on an opt-in basis, but Sunday’s vote is expected to extend the blocking by making a default option.

After the vote, Verizon said that it would "evolve" its free call-blocking tool for its customers, but added they should not expect "short term across-the-board blocking."

Far-right rally against Muslim community in Germany's Chemnitz
[AlAhram] Tensions rose again Sunday in the eastern German city of Chemnitz, which last year saw days of xenophobic mob violence, after a local far-right group protested against a Moslem community festival.

Dozens of far-right protesters staged a rally, a day after an altercation in which an 18-year-old Syrian man allegedly injured the hand of a 41-year-old German man with a knife.

Police said they were investigating on charges of dangerous assault.

The altercation came after a Moslem community street festival was held Saturday in the city centre, and the local far-right group Pro Chemnitz protested nearby with a BBQ event.

An online video shows the holy warrior group grilling spit-roast pork while attendants yell "this is our city".

Pro Chemnitz later claimed the injured man was one of its "comrades in arms" and posted "breaking news" about the incident on social media along with a generic picture of a bloodied knife.

A local right-wing group then called for the demonstration Sunday, which was joined by some 50 people, according to local daily Freie Presse.

About 60 demonstrators staged a counter-protest and 66 police kept watch, local authorities said, adding that no violence was reported.

Chemnitz earned worldwide notoriety last year after a German man's fatal stabbing sparked mass protests which saw neo-Nazis rampaging through the streets targeting people of foreign appearance.

Defence lawyers for the Syrian man, Alaa Sheikhi, insist he is innocent in the manslaughter trial that is being held in another city of the ex-communist east, Dresden, for security reasons.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran Warns U.S. Navy and ‘Zionist’ Military: Prepare to Be Crushed
[BREITBART] U.S. Navy forces now gathered in the Persian Gulf region will be hit with "unimaginable reciprocal blows" if any attack is made on Iran, a top military aide to the country’s leadership said Sunday.
"Zionists" were also warned they face the same fate in the announcement.

General Rahim Safavi told the local Fars newsagency Iran has the ability to hit far beyond its borders and its enemies should take note. He said:

We are not the starter of any war and aggression against any country and this has several times been stated by Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei who is also commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces]. But if enemies, including the Zionists or the Americans, make a move against us at any level, we have a strong defense and deterrence power too and will hit unimaginable reciprocal blows on them and their interests and military bases.

He claimed Iran "is stronger than all its 15 neighbors, except Russia, in the military field," and said Tehran and Moscow have joined together in a military alliance across the Middle East. Such is Iran’s claimed military might, the country "will inflict the most crushing and most surprising strikes on them not just in areas around the country but also beyond in the seas."

This not the first time Iran has issued blood-curdling threats against its real and perceived enemies.

As Breitbart News reported, last month the U.S. military presence in the Middle East was dismissed as its "weakest in history" by a deputy commander of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards.

Admiral Ali Fadavi, a deputy Guards commander, made the accusation but failed to add any evidence to back his claim.

"The Americans have been present in the region since 1833 and they are now at their weakest in history in West Asia," Fadavi is alleged to have said.

Tehran has previously described U.S. military moves as "psychological warfare" and a "political game"designed to hurt the Iran people.

Iraq
UN: 70 pct of explosive hazards “still underneath rubble” in Iraq
A reminder why we want to keep war far from our homeland.
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ The United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
on Sunday warned against bad effects of explosive hazards on the afflicted communities in Iraq, claiming that 70 per cent of explosives are still underneath the rubble.

"Explosive hazards continue to have an adverse effect on afflicted communities in Iraq. Our primary mandate is to facilitate the safe and voluntary return of IDPs to their homes. We cannot do that when an estimated 70 per cent of explosive hazards still lie underneath the rubble," said Pehr Lodhammar, Senior Programme Manager of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in Iraq.

"Risk education and the clearance of explosive hazards always come together. To avoid accidents, it is crucial to teach affected communities which behaviors to adopt when encountering explosive hazards." added Pehr Lodhammar.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Jane reached into her purse for her .38...
British Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad John Tucknott said his country is the largest contributor to the Voluntary Trust Fund for Mine Action in Iraq.

"UK aid supports UNMAS in clearing explosive hazards, educating vulnerable communities on how to stay safe and helping to train Iraq’s National Demining Authority. It also supports search and clearance teams clearing important infrastructure such as schools, hospitals and roads, enabling Iraqis to safely return to their homes," Tucknott said.

"We are particularly pleased that in Sinjar these teams are gender-balanced and include members belonging to different religions and ethnicities," he added.
It’s important to have priorities...

Archdiocese of New York gives up fight over Bishop Sheen’s remains
[NYPOST] The Archdiocese of New York has finally caved in its long-running legal tug-of-war over the remains of 1950s radio and TV preacher Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

The archdiocese, which last week lost yet another court round in the dispute with Sheen’s niece, said Sunday that it will cooperate in transferring the remains of the Emmy-winning archbishop from a crypt under the altar at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan to Peoria, Ill.

Sheen has been interred below St. Pat’s with other archbishops who served in New York since his death in 1979.

But his niece, Joan Cunningham, has been fighting to bury him back home in Peoria, where he was ordained in 1919. She says it would improve his shot at sainthood, based on Church guidelines.

The archdiocese had argued that a will Sheen signed five days before his death included his desire to be buried in New York.

A Manhattan court last year ruled against the church. On Friday, the New York Court of Appeals upheld that ruling.

"We have been informed that the New York Court of Appeals has denied further appeal of the New York Supreme Court decision upholding Joan Cunningham’s petition to disinter Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s mortal remains from under the altar at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where they have rested for nearly 40 years," Joseph Zwilling, front man for the Archdiocese of New York, told the Catholic News Agency.

"While we did not initiate this matter, the Trustees of St. Patrick’s and the Archdiocese believed that it was not simply their duty, but a solemn obligation, to seek to uphold Archbishop Sheen’s last wishes, as directed in his Will, to be buried in New York ‐ a position held until recently by Joan Cunningham herself."

The Catholic Diocese of Peoria said its bishop, Daniel R. Jenky, was "grateful" the archdiocese has now agreed to move Sheen’s remains.

Patriot bees, who would have thought it.
[Breitbart] A Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agent rescued a Guatemalan woman and her child after a swarm of bees attacked them. The agent transported the mother and child to a local hospital where doctors admitted them to the intensive care unit.

An agent patrolling the border near Brownsville, Texas, encountered a swarm of bees that entered his vehicle. The agent quickly drove away and cleared his vehicle He then returned to the scene to attempt to locate the source of the bees, according to information obtained from Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol officials.

When the agent returned he observed a jacket and a bundle covered by thousands of bees. Further investigation revealed the bundle was a person curled up in a fetal position, the agent reported. The agent yelled at the person to stand up and run to his vehicle.

The agent reported that when the person stood up he observed a small child who had been covered by a woman. The woman ran to the Border Patrol vehicle and jumped inside. The agent then evaluated the pair and called for an ambulance to transport them to a local hospital.

The woman claimed the child to be her eight-year-old son, officials stated. While waiting for an ambulance, the boy began to vomit. The agent decided he could not wait for the ambulance and drove the mother and child to the hospital.

The staff of the hospital admitted the pair to the intensive care unit for treatment and observation. Both are expected to survive the ordeal, officials reported.

Once released from the hospital, Border Patrol agents will transport them to the station for processing under Rio Grande Valley Sector guidelines.

A bee colony provides a stinging rebuke to any interloper that nears their hive.
They do not provide a pathway to their honey!
Much can be learned here.

Full disclosure, we have several gentle Carniolan hives on the back deck. And trespassers are rare.

Al-Shabaab Carries Out An Assault In Jalalaqsi Town
[RADIOSHABELLE] al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
fighters were reported to have attacked a Somali government-controlled town in central Hiran region on Sunday amid ongoing Arclight airstrikes against the holy warrior group.

The attack, according to the residents began with blasts at the city’s main bridge targeting Djibouti troops serving under African Union

mission in Somalia [AMISOM].

The two sides engaged in a fierce shootout and have exchanged heavy and small weaponry during the clash, which caused an unspecified number of casualties.

Al-Shabaab said its fighters have killed 13 Djiboutian soldiers and burnt down a battlewagon belonging to the AU peacekeepers. There was no statement from AMISOM confirming or denying the claims.

The latest reports said the situation has returned to normal on Sunday following the attack.

Forced to Bathe With a Bucket of Water, Juan Guaido Soldiers On
[BLOOMBERG] On Thursday, Juan Guaido woke up and doused himself with a bucket of water.

It was his shower. Like millions of Venezuelans, the man who dozens of countries recognize as the legitimate leader of his broken country can’t rely on the taps to run. "It’s one of the things I hate most," the 35-year-old politician said in an interview. "It’s a symbol of poverty, and during much of my life I had to do it."

And yet, he was for the most part characteristically upbeat, exuding that can-do spirit that his followers love and his detractors find naive, as he talked about how Venezuela would have to tolerate much more suffering in order to topple Nicolas Maduro
Venezuela's attempt at producing a Muammar Qadaffy...
’s autocratic regime. Despite the pain, he said, the U.S. shouldn’t ease up on the sanctions that are deepening the worst economic crisis in the country’s history.

"It’s going to get worse" before things turn, he warned.

Ultimately, he insisted, the opposition movement, rekindled after he became leader of the National Assembly in January, would succeed. New elections could be held in six or nine months because the pressure simply won’t let up on Maduro’s closest collaborators to break ranks, he said.

Let me go out on a limb and predict: The US military will *NOT* invade Venezuela.

There may be loud threats of the "Don't make me come over there!" nature, but that's just diplomacy. You will see some jockeying for post-collapse influence among the usual suspects like China and Russia. But there is nothing there we want, nothing we need and nothing we can fix.

#15  How about that Venezuela is sitting on a mountain of oil?

Thick tarry goo that can only be refined in a couple of places around the world.

The world is swimming in oil, Mr. McCoy. Iraq is now making money hand over fist, replacing the now sanctioned Iranian barrels. Every month or two there are new announcements of discoveries in unexpected countries — even Israel has become a significant producer, courted by the countries of Europe — and even Egypt, which only a few years ago held blackmail power over it because the oil flowed the other way. But America, which you want to covet what Venezuela cannot pump out of the ground without the aid of American engineers, is now one of the biggest suppliers in the world. Us desiring Venezuela’s oil would be like us feeling an overwhelming need to replace Slovak folk dance troupes with hiphop so that we get the last pennies of their CD sales.

Nobody wants Venezuela's oil, not even the Chinese Communists who own all the output for the next few decades.

Name me a political group anywhere in the world which would not want to control a resource.

Except those who think 'mountain of oil' is a dorky turn of phrase, even though that particular oil is most likely to be formed and keep its shape.

So I ask you, as someone who wants as little to do as possible with Venezuela, please stop arguing that position as you are - it comes across as a fat dude wearing a mankini yelling at a faucet.

Perhaps you can clear this up for me, as you advertise as a true believer, because other libertarians have tried to untie this gordian knot - how come other countries can have a foreign policy, but it is immoral for the United States to have foreign policy?

#2  There are hard rules of engagement made by politicians and careerist JAGs. And army regulations (all based on similar training) do not allow creative bending of these rules.

The resourceful and clever soldier can often bend and skate on rules, offing mewling 16 year olds lying in the dust. But men who value their career, and image in the eyes of other men ? They just can't. Also, there are a lot of whiners and rats in every unit who can complain.

In terms of practicality, a blown-up leg, shredded arm or a cracked rib-cage to an enemy is thought a better thing. It won't ever fight again. Some fucker will have to take care of it, it shall make life miserable for its own side. But applied to jihadis this theory falls flat. They want to die. You should not risk leaving any one alive. He alone may kill ten innocents. These days the liberal, life-worshiping nations of the west often allow local allies to do the wetwork for them. They'd rather kill by long-range methods, or proxy. It's true.

Unfortunately, the armies of the world have yet to realize that this not a war that will be won if run like an industry. It is not against simple ideology or annexation by conquest or over resources. They haven't fully understood the muslim animal even. Their ancestors had a better idea of the saracen.

Iran urges Europe to normalise economic ties with it or face consequences
[DAWN] Iran said on Sunday that Europe
...also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
was not in a position to criticise Tehran for its military capabilities, and called on European leaders to normalise economic ties with the Islamic Theocratic Republic despite US sanctions or face consequences.

President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
last year withdrew the United States from a nuclear deal with Iran and reimposed sanctions. Trump has condemned a 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, signed by his predecessor Barack Obama
That’s just how white folks will do you....
, as flawed for not being permanent and for not covering Irans ballistic missile programme or its role in conflicts around the Middle East.
"Be our good friend or we'll beat you up!"
The European signatories to the deal ‐ La Belle France, Britannia and Germany ‐ share the same concerns as the United States over Irans ballistic missile programme and regional activities.

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
they have defended the nuclear accord saying that at least it puts curbs on Iran's nuclear programme and can be the basis for future talks.

"Europeans are not in a position to criticise Iran for issues outside the JCPOA," Zarif was quoted as saying by the state broadcaster, using the acronym for the nuclear deal.

"The Europeans and other signatories of the JCPOA should normalise economic ties with Iran ... We will halt our commitments or will take action in accordance to their measures."

Iran last month stopped some commitments under the nuclear deal and warned that in 60 days it would scale back more commitments if Europeans fail to shield it against the US sanctions.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will visit Iran this week, during which he will explore options for preserving the fraying nuclear non-proliferation pact.

Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani on Sunday also criticised French President Emmanuel Macron for saying last week in a meeting with Trump that they shared the same objectives on Iran.

Justice Ginsburg Hints At Outcome Of Supreme Court’s Biggest Cases
[DAILYCALLER] Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg suggested Friday that the Supreme Court is deeply divided over its most-watched cases, hinting that a series of 5-4 decisions are likely as the court approaches the end of its current term.

Ginsburg said to the Second Circuit Judicial Conference the court was unlikely to achieve consensus on several high-profile matters.

"Of the 43 argued cases resolved so far, only 11, or just over 25%, were decided by a vote of 5 to 4 or 5 to 3," Ginsburg said. "Given the number of most watched cases still unannounced, I cannot predict that the relatively low sharp divisions ratio will hold."

One case likely to produce such a split is the dispute over the Trump administration’s bid to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census form. A coalition of civil rights groups and Democratic state governments sued to stop the question’s inclusion, saying it will depress minority participation in the census. The administration says it needs granular citizenship data to improve enforcement of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), but the plaintiffs believe they have uncovered evidence of the government’s true partisan motive.

The census serves as the basis for apportioning seats in Congress among the states.

Ginsburg discussed the census dispute in connection with the 2018 travel ban decision, in which a 5-4 court said President Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
’s entry sanctions were entitled to deference.

"Speculators about the outcome note that last year, in Trump v. Hawaii, the court upheld the so-called ’travel ban,’ in an opinion granting great deference to the executive," Ginsburg said. "Respondents in the census case have argued that a ruling in Secretary [Wilbur] Ross’s favor would stretch deference beyond the breaking point."

#11  re #8: JohnQC, your last sentence explains exactly why Democrat-run states want the citizenship question banned. If the census doesn't count the non-citizens, their population is less, so they don't get as many representatives in the House, and they get less Federal money to spend.

IEDs used in Ziarat bomb blasts, confirms CTD
[DAWN] QUETTA: Preliminary investigation into the two kabooms that hit as many vehicles in Ziarat on Friday suggested that improvised bombs (IED) were used to carry out the terror attacks which claimed five lives and left 13 people injured.

No group has so far grabbed credit for the attacks.

Both the IEDs were attached to the vehicles with magnet, said the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday.

The CTD has registered two First Information Reports (FIR) of the kabooms on the report of Levies Force, Ziarat. Copies of the FIRs are available with Dawn.

Senior CTD officer Khalil Ahmed while confirming the registration of FIRs said that according to the bomb disposal squad nearly two to three kilograms of explosives were used for the kabooms.

The CTD, which is investigating the Ziarat blasts, said that evidence had been collected from the sites of the blasts. "We are investigating both the incidents," CTD official Ahmed said, adding that in the light of evidence a probe had been launched. But, so far, no arrests had been made.

The first blast took place when a vehicle carrying members of the Bohra community was on its way to the Kharwari Baba shrine, located on the outskirts of Ziarat town, killing three members of a family. The second blast occurred in the evening when a group of Shia Hazara
...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets...
was returning to Quetta after spending the day in Ziarat. The kaboom occurred when the van they were travelling in reached near the Kawas area, resulting in the death of two persons on the spot.

On Saturday, bodies of three victims belonging to one family which included parents and their son were handed over to their relatives for transporting them back to Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
. The bodies of the two victims from the Hazara community were handed over to their family in Quetta. The victims were buried in the Hazara graveyard on Saturday.

Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
and talks to her regularly assures me that, "She’s not one of the crazies."

The praise, such as it was, aimed to persuade me that the Speaker is not off the rails like the Democratic lynch mob forming in the House.

That’s good to hear, but then why does Pelosi keep talking as if she’s in a banana republic? Doesn’t she realize she’s playing a dangerous game guaranteed to tear America further apart and spark a tit-for-tat escalation?

Twice in recent weeks she jacked up the temperature on the crazies’ obsession with impeaching President Trump. First she accused him of engaging in a criminal "coverup" and then said she didn’t favor impeachment, she favored putting Trump "in prison."

In neither case did Pelosi detail what crimes the president of the United States committed that constituted a coverup or would be worthy of prison. It’s also significant that she made both comments after the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report that found no collusion and offered no conclusion on obstruction, with the attorney general ruling that there was no obstruction.

So what the hell is she talking about?

The explanation makes sense only in the bizarro world of far-left politics in the age of Trump.

Conventional wisdom holds that Pelosi’s eruptions are tactical moves as she tries to resist rabid impeachment dogs like Reps. Jerry Nadler, Maxine Waters
U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, serving since 1991, a total of 27.523138196694298 years. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the most senior of the 12 black women currently serving in the United States Congress, is a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress she served in the California Assembly, to which she was first elected back when Disco was in flower, in 1976, which would make it 42.52108480860395 years. She has been a politician for virtually all her adult life. If she was brighter she'd be a Communist...
and Adam Schiff.

The tortured explanation amounts to a claim that Pelosi is demonstrating she hates Trump more than anybody, but opposes impeachment only because most voters don’t want it.

As a result, she fears it will be a dead end for Dems because there is nothing close to a two-thirds majority in the GOP-led Senate needed for conviction and removal.

A failed impeachment, her argument goes, would re-elect Trump and let the GOP take back the House and hold the Senate. In plain English, the Dems would destroy themselves in a bid to destroy Trump.

The Long Arm of Turkey's Erdogan
Key bits:
[AmericanThinker] Sports and politics have always been uncomfortable bed-fellows, despite the best efforts to keep sports as a unifying nonpartisan activity. From Jesse Owens at the 1936 Berlin Olympics to the American hockey team from the 1980 Miracle on Ice, sports heroes have had a way of rankling authoritarians.

And so it is for Enes Kanter, a Ottoman Turkish-born NBA star currently playing for the Portland Trailblazers, following the failed Ottoman Turkish coup in 2016. Kanter has been made a wanted man for his criticism of The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire....
’s President Tayyip Erdogan. He was not able to travel with his New York Knicks teammates back in January to play the Washington Wizards in London for fear of being kidnapped or killed. And in December 2017 he was sentenced to four years in prison in absentia. Enes Kanter’s father was also fired from his university position and is now serving a fifteen-year sentence in prison, some say as backlash for his son’s criticism of the government.

Now however, Erdogan’s long authoritarian arm has apparently reached even youth sporting. On June 2nd, Kanter published this message on his Twitter feed:

One reply to Kanter’s tweet declares Islamic Association of North Texas (IANT) Richardson as the organization that initiated the boycott of the basketball camps.

A Twitter user by the name of THEOLOG writes, "I knew it, Yusuf Kavakci was an Islamist and Erdoganist Imam whose daughters and even grand children have governmental positions in Turkey. Shame on this masjid, I led some salahs when I was there! They are so political and erdoganist sadly!!!"

The Twitter user THEOLOG makes a valid point. Yusuf Kavakci was previously a board member for the Moslem Brüderbund-affiliated Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and for a time was president of the Islamic Tribunal that caused such a stir for openly stating that it would use Sharia to resolve disputes within the Moslem community during the tenure of Mayor Beth Van Duyne in Irving, Texas.

As previously reported in the American Spectator, Erdogan’s regime is increasingly using connections with domestic-based U.S. Islamist groups, like Moslem American Society (MAS), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) to exert political influence in the United States. And now Erdogan is utilizing those connections to put pressure on a children’s basketball clinic held in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas.

Libya's PC deputy head asks US to end Egypt, Saudi Arabia's support for Haftar
[Libya Observer] The deputy head of the Libyan Presidential Council, Ahmed Mitig, has requested the US to exert pressure on its allies that are meddling in Libya by backing up Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
's attack on Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
and make them stay out of Libya.

"We urge the US administration to use its leverage to end the support provided by Egypt and Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
to Haftar." Mitig told Fox News on Saturday.

Mitig is on a formal visit to Washington D.c., where he met with a number of senators, including Republican Lindsey Graham
... the endangered South Carolina RINO, fellow maverick of Honest John McCain...
, and discussed the US policy toward Libya amid the offensive on the capital that was launched by Haftar on April 04 in an attempt to seize power.

"I'm going back to Libya's capital Tripoli with a message from the US that says the White House is in support and standing by the Government of National Accord as the only legitimate government in Libya." Mitig told news hounds in Washington.

He also told Fox News in the interview that what his government wants from the US is not financial or military support, but politicianship.

Mitig reminded Fox News that the Presidential Council's commanded coalition of forces "Al-Bunyan al-Marsous" cooperated with the US to defeat ISIS and that the Libyan Presidential Council's government cooperated with the US in oil production progress, political process and the preparations for elections in Libya.

ISIS regaining momentum near Palmyra as fighting rages in northwestern Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) is regaining its strength near the ancient city of Palmyra, while the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and jihadist rebels trade offensive in northwestern Syria.
Wonder who's paying all those salaries and for all those weapons and all that ammunition?
Speaking to al-Masdar from Damascus city, a military source stated that the Islamic State has recently stepped up their operations in central Syria, targeting the Syrian Army more frequently around the key road between the cities of al-Sukhneh and Palmyra.

According to the source, the Islamic State’s ambushes and raids in central Syria are well-coordinated and proof that the terrorist group possesses the ability to wreak havoc inside the country.

In May, the Syrian Army suffered more than 100 casualties at the hands of the Islamic State in central Syrian. However,
a poor excuse is better than no excuse at all...
it appears that the June casualties may exceed those of May, as the Syrian Army has already lost several soldiers as a result of the terrorist group’s attacks.

With the ongoing battle in northwestern Syria occupying many of the Syrian Arab Army units, there are grave concerns that the Islamic State may take advantage of the situation and launch a wide-scale assault against the government forces.

The Islamic State is estimated to have between 2,000-3,000 fighters in the Badiya al-Sham region of central and eastern Syria; this leaves the terrorist group with more than enough fighters to take over a large part of this desert region.

Should this happen, the Syrian Arab Army may be forced to halt their operations in northwestern Syria in order to stop an Islamic State advance.

Elderly woman among two wounded as protestors, police clash in Umerkot
[DAWN] PPP Chairperson Bilawal Baby Bhutto Zardari
...Pak dynastic politician, son of Benazir Bhutto and grandon of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. As far as is known, Bilawal has no particular talents other than being pretty and being able to memorize political slogans, but he had the good luck to be born into the right family and he hasn't been assassinated yet...
on Sunday took notice of the alleged "police brutality" in Umerkot against protestors from the Kolhi community.

According to a statement by the party, the PPP chairperson has demanded the provision of speedy justice to the affected members of the Hindu community through an impartial inquiry and has called for action to be taken against police officials involved in the alleged torture. "To protest is the right of every Pak," said Bilawal, according to the statement.

According to local reports, members of the Kolhi community living in the Fazal Chopan village had staged a sit-in at Allah Wala Chowk against the alleged atrocities of the influential Chopan family, who own the village.

The protest was led by Haryan, Popat and Rukhma Kohli, along with others who carried banners and placards and rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud against the village owners, including Shah Nawaz, Haji and Allah Dad Chopan. The protestors from the Hindu community alleged that the village owners had demanded that they "be presented maiden of tender yearss" and ordered the residents to vacate the village upon failing to do so.

The protesters further alleged that on their refusal to comply, they were beaten up.

According to the protesters, as the sit-in continued, a contingent of Umerkot police, led by Station House Officer (SHO) Syed Atif Shah, reached the site and tried to disperse the protesters, which led to a tussle between the two sides.

The protesters then reportedly pelted a police van with stones, breaking its windowpane. In response, the police baton-charged the crowd, injuring two people, including an elderly woman who received a blow on her forehead and fainted.

Five people were also picked up by police but were released after the police party came under attack, said the protestors.

The protestors demanded that the police register a case against the influential landlords who had harassed them as well as the coppers who had subjected the community members to a baton charge.

Faiz Muhammad Chopan, an owner of the village, refuted the allegations levelled by the Kolhi community, calling them "baseless". He invited a partial inquiry to "unveil the entire cooked and planned story".

He alleged that political opponents have used one of the village families for their gains, adding that 200 households of Kolhi community have been settled in the village for decades.

He further alleged that it was only a single family from his village which took part in the protest, whereas others had been "supplied" from Khipro city of the Sanghar district.

PG&E Cuts Off Power to Parts of California
[HotAir] There have been a series of blackouts in northern California recently, but these don’t have anything to do with storms or equipment failure. Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has been intentionally, proactively shutting off the juice in areas where red flag warnings for potential wildfires have been posted. This has led to numerous complaints (mostly justified or at least understandable) from people losing service, particularly those who rely on electricity for home medical equipment. But the actions by PG&E are equally understandable. (ABC News]
Don't sue us again!
Pacific Gas & Electric cut power Saturday to about 1,600 customers in Northern California to reduce risk of wildfires amid windy, dry and warming weather conditions that raised the year’s first red flag warnings.

The utility said it began cutting power at 6 a.m. to portions of Napa, Solano and Yolo counties, an area northeast of the San Francisco Bay region. The company also announced in advance that it may have to cut power to 30,000 customers in Butte, Yuba, Nevada, El Dorado and Placer counties.

Conditions ripe for fire ‐ winds, low humidity, dry vegetation and heat ‐ were expected to last into Sunday. The National Weather Service said a station north of Sonoma reported gusts to 50 mph (80 kph) Saturday.

The public statement from PG&E focuses entirely on safety and making sure there aren’t any more massive fires being triggered by sparks from electrical equipment. That’s a smart move since it makes them look like they’re taking every reasonable step possible to help prevent such tragedies.

There's always the BBQ. Damaged wood framed houses provide plenty of firewood when the propane runs out.

The Cardboard Box Oven is good. It can also be used for dehydration preservation of meat and fish.

DISH and Hughes antennas torn down by the storm, lined with foil provide a good spot solar heat source for cooking, or just lighting your wood fire.

For kids, fishing and treasure hunts fill the internet lull.

Spartacus Has A Plan To Make Housing More Expensive
[DAILYCALLER] Attempting to distinguish himself in an overcrowded Democratic primary, New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker came out with a plan that he claims will address housing affordability. He’s wrong — it will only make the problem worse.

Booker’s plan involves offering a tax credit to any American who pays more than 30 percent of their before-tax income in rent, the value of which would equal the difference between the fair-market rate for the area and the amount that the renter actually pays.

What is especially bizarre about Booker’s plan is that the solution to sky-high rent and housing rates is blissfully simple — build more housing!

Housing crises arise largely from a straightforward application of supply and demand concepts economists learned back in high school. When the demand outstrips the supply, and supply is constrained by artificial factors such as zoning and land-use regulations, prices will rise. Yet primary candidates in the Democratic field such as Booker, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and California Sen. Kamala Harris have all felt the need to invent Rube Goldberg-esque plans to try to tackle housing affordability differently.

PETA Fights for Oysters’ Rights in Push for Veganism
[BREITBART] In its new crusade for veganism, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has rushed to the defense of oysters and other bivalves, insisting they should be respected and never eaten.
“Oysters are never vegan,” PETA announced in a short video presentation on Twitter Saturday. “Bivalves are animals that deserve our consideration and should never be eaten or used in any other way.”

In its attempt to tug at the heartstrings of possible sympathizers, PETA underscored the cruelty with which oysters are treated just to feed undeserving human beings.

“Their shells are torn open and their bodies are cut up,” the video proclaimed.

“Oysters can sense danger and hide inside their shells. They also play an important role in the ocean by feeding on bacteria and filtering water,” it stated.
