#4 Wonder if they've been stupid enough to send one of those letters to a large law firm?
Hilarity would ensue. :-D

#5 The US Patent Office enabled a lot of this nonsense when they started granting patents on business methods. Before that, you had to have an actual physical machine. Afterwards, you just needed to append "on the Internet" to your lame-ass business plan.
Patenting a scanner is one thing. Trying to patent the idea of sending the scanned file via email should fail the obviousness test and get you tossed down the stairs.

#6 I'd love to see some of our patent and IP attorneys answer that letter they're sending. :-D
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they'll never send us one ....

#7 Another lawyer joke:
What is a shame?
A busload of lawyers going over a cliff!
What is a crying shame?
Two of the seats are empty!

#8 During the mid-1980s dairy farmers decided there was too much cheap milk at the supermarket. So the government bought and slaughtered 1.6 million cows. How come the government never does anything like this with lawyers?

A: Ever see a cheap lawyer (as in the bill?)
