#1 ...Mr. Cornwall is also spitefully anti-American, which explains why he's on CBS. Some of his books are incredible, especially the Smiley Trilogy (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Honourable Schoolboy, and Smiley's People) and I still have no problem recommending those works to people. But in the years since, he's let it go full blast in public and in private. Unless it's an unambiguous apology for past statements, I don't wanna hear it.

#2 Being "Spitefully Anti-American" has long been common in the British upper class. I'd wager anything he writes yet today is "approved by his masters." Given similar review would no doubt be Christopher Steele's pen farts and activities.
