#1 Jefferson Finis Davis (June 3, 1808 - December 6, 1889) was an American politician who served as the only President of the Confederate States from 1861 to 1865. As a member of the Democratic Party, he represented Mississippi in the United States Senate and the House of Representatives.

Trying to bury the sins of the party again. Maybe just a new plague emphasizing the point would be more in order.

#4 ...FT Monroe is one of my favorite places on the planet - I could literally every day of the rest of my life exploring the place. I therefore need to point out that you not only cannot see the arch from the outside of the fort, it's pretty much hidden inside the fort.

And believe me, the next thing to go will be the casemate where Davis stayed, restored to show what it was like when he was there.

When they control the history, they control the future.

#5 I don't think this goes far enough. We should kick Virginia out of the Republic because they were on the wrong side in the Civil War which means they are all evil and hitlery and stuff. And also Democrats.

(do I need a sarc tag? Thanks for the info on Ft Monroe, Mike. Sounds like it's worth a trip)
