#1 From us in the medical field. This is not news!
A plus B equals C.

#2 This is not news! True, but VERY un-PC for the current maniacs who want to legalize marijuana.

#3 Dunno. Maybe we should let the lefties keep smoking the grass and become even more skitzo.

#4 Mentally fragile people get worse after alcohol too, or any large doses of mood or mind altering drugs.

Some people just need to be put in a padded room with nothing sharper than a crayon.

#5 Part of the problem is that the drug-using corner of the internet is full of claims that pot is absolutely harmless, and that all scientific reports to the contrary are the lies of fun-hating Puritans.

The other part of the problem is that exactly those mentally fragile individuals most at risk are blind to the fact that they mentally abnormal. My girlfriend’s schizophrenic son, the one who murdered his grandmother at the orders of St. Michael because she was a zombie, insisted that he was perfectly sane and not in need of treatment until after he had been forcibly medicated for months while in jail awaiting trial. He reports that some of the residents on the prison psych ward still will stop taking their meds, because even in prison —in Pennsylvania at least — they cannot be forced to take their daily pills until they have yet again become psychotic.

#7 I don't know the truth of it but I've been told cannabis strains now are far stronger than they were in the 80s.

#8 That would be the truth, yes. You can buy really powerful pot at a recreational dispensary. OTOH you can buy really potent booze at a liquor store. Neither is very good for a psychotic to consume.

#9 This is my problem as a libertarian. Freedom versus someone is gonna overdo it and we have to deal the fallout (medical expenses or really damaging votes).
