the Act itself has enough ambiguous language that makes it pretty difficult to enforce since all Americans, including John Kerry, have 1st amendment rights

there haven't been any prosecutions for treason from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Cold War or Long War

Manning and Snowden for example were charged under the espionage act, not for treason

Not because there haven't been traitors, but because federal prosecutors are too often fellow travelers. Kerry's actions after Vietnam and Jane Fonda are the two that come immediately to mind.
