#3 We need to make it clear that any civilian deaths are the fault of ISIS itself - for hiding among the civilian population using them as human shields often disguised as civilians.

Isn't that spelled out in the Geneva Conventions?

#4 ...I am reminded of the tale of the Tamil Tigers, a rebel group that spread havoc and death through Sri Lanka (they pretty much created the suicide belt and the use of female suicide bombers) - and every time they were on the ropes, the UN or some other organization/nation would step in and rescue them, or organize 'peace talks' which had no other purpose than to give them breathing room.

Finally, in 2006 - after a war that had lasted for THIRTY YEARS - the Sri Lankan government said, 'Enough'. The war was over three years later, and every moment of those three years, there were outsiders demanding that the Tigers be given another chance, peace talks, anything to keep them from losing.

A lesson we should ponder.

IMNSHO - true lasting peace can only be obtained through a decisive military victory. Easy to say I know.

#7 Peace is when both sides know who would win; war is when it is in doubt. Peace through superior firepower.
