#4 You are most likely right PK2. The Clintons have made a lot of enemies in the Party over the years. Hildebeast is mean-spirited and vindictive. Perhaps Party members are looking to Elizabeth, "the fake Indian" Warren as their Prez. candidate in 2016. She seems appropriately unhinged enough to satisfy their needs.

#5 I am leaning toward P2k's assessment. In addition to their numerous enemies, the Clintons represent a control problem for the democratic party.

The dems may also be looking into the future at the potential of the Clintons spawning an unwanted follow-on Chelsea Clinton - Marc Mezinsky dynasty.

#8 [Ed] Mezvinsky was indicted in 2001 and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 felony charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. Nearly $10 million was involved in the crimes. Ed would be the father of Marc, Chelsea's husband. Ed fell prey to nearly all the 419 Nigerian scams, got in debt and became a scam artist himself.
