#2 In other parts of the world food costs for a family could be as much as 70% of the household budget. That was years before these current price increases. Soup and broth with rice meals but lots of vegetables. Family with four children really suffer (Romania for example).

#3 I remember being told in college - this was about 15 years ago - that there has not been a TRULY weather-only caused widespread famine in more than a century...every single one since can be traced directly back to political causes.
