I'm just not seeing the benefit to the American people. Starting a major war with a nuclear power seems quite likely to kill millions of us, and fail to boot. Remember how well they did in Iraq?

Peter Zeihan wrote a book that has a section about a possible conflict with Russia in the Baltic. He wrote an intriguing book called “The Absent Superpower: the Shale Revolution and a World without America.” A read worth the time.

#5 Putin wants a new Russia like the old USSR’s grandeur. Only he has some issues to deal with.
*an economy the size of Italy.
*a collapsing demographic.
*China looking at Siberia.
*Institutions are corrupt.

Putin could win the battle while his country collapses.

All he has in his toolkit are nuclear weapons. So he in some ways is acting like Iran and North Korea.

I think President Trump must have read Peter’s Book.
