Thought there was something weird about the STrib (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DFL) going after their fair-haired boy(metaphor, obviously.)
Turns out some nasty right-wingers were going to look for evidence of a pattern of violence, so the STrib needed position themselves as "independent journalists" for damage control purposes.

I'm not a great fan of Ellison or the Democrats. He is a Muslim convert and a supporter of Louis Farrakhan. As a voter, I like to know as much about a candidate as possible. Too often we end up buying (or voting) for a "pig in a poke" because the candidate's history and record gets buried.
