#5 I've been thinking about the logistics of this. These 1,700 were not out in the open. They were dispersed with Sunni families in maximum groups of four or five.

So how was this round-up possible? How could they get the message out that every foreigner was to be turned over, without those 1,700 realizing that the game was up and trying to fight their way out?

#9 Not saying I fully buy into this article but to answer Anonymous question could have been why old Zark went AWOL to Diyalia province. Wouldnt be the first time he left the soldiers to go suicide while he slipped out the back door.

This also I would imagine is a number of total from their beginning its been some months so if a total would be very conceivable. My question would be how many are Syrian intelligence forces.
