#1 In Texas, you are pretty much allowed to shoot miscreants at night on a no-questions-asked basis. A holdover from the old ranching days, it strikes me as a rather civilized policy.

#3 In most home invasions the victims are badly beaten, and then crudely tied up.

At the risk of being politically incorrect, be aware that Hispanics are doing almost all of these.

If I am ever on a jury where a homeowner is charged for killing an invader, count me in as a holdout.
