#1 Bad grammar. Then again I expect that from CNN's partial locals.

Objective reporters are claiming that civilians are collaborating with the terrorists. Ergo: they are legitimate targets. Of course, CNN wouldn't want to offend third worlders by reporting the facts.

#2 Iraq has a mechanized brigade, I believe, though I thought it was in Basra.

There was a complex attack on checkpoints and US troops in the area on April 11. We kicked butt and the area quieted down.
