#1 I think they are wrong - NC is not an undecided state, neither is Michigan. The former is McCain and the latter is Obama.

If you put Florida and Ohio in the "leans McCain" column (he has 3+ points there) its incredibly close. Flip Virginia (I still see no way Obama wins it with the anger he has stirred up in the GOP parts of the state and its history of being 8+ for the GOP including Bush), likewise New Mexico and Minnesota for Obama and it may all come down to Colorado and New Hampshire.

And if they split (NH-McCain, CO-Obama) we could end up in a tie 269-269. Which means the house votes - meaning Obama wins it.

I'm putting in for my absentee ballot today now that I'm a resident of Colorado.

#2 Had a conversation this past Labor Day with my niece, who's an Obama campaign worker (I know, I know ...)

We agreed on few things, but one thing she and I agreed on completely is that Colorado will decide the election.

Virginia, Ohio, Nevada and Florida go McCain. Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Hampshire and Minnesota go Obama. All comes down to Colorado.

#3 There are a lot of battleground states in this election where the numbers are very, very close.

#4 CNN > BLITZER GOP CONVENTION COVERAGE > IIUC/IICC, digital map indics BARACK is ahead of MCCAIN in gross electoral votes as several "GOP/BUSH" RED STATES + "KERRY" STATES ARE NOT TURNING TOWARDS THE MCCAIN CAMP???

Caught only the last segments of BLITZER so take above wid a grain of salt.

#6 Sarah Palin looks to change everything, JosephM. This time we're going to have to wait until the votes are counted to find out, which may well result in a great many strokes and heart attacks by then.
