Many of our merchant sailors spent years in humiliation and slavery, and a number of them died from abuse, starvation, and hard labor. Nothing new under the sun.
But still an outrage that needs to be ended .
First thing is that actions have consequences. Cut off aid and assistance. Close embassies or provide security. Put the monkey on the back of the host country. They rein in their mobs and imams, or we are out of there. If we come back, it will be in the kinetic style.

#11 Besoerker ... yes I do understand that these reports are often disinformation. But here's my problem this time. When Ambassador Stevens was taken to the hospital in Libya (last moments of his life) the doctor there reported bleeding from the stomach as one condition. That is not consistent with asphyxiation. But it is possibly consistent with abdominal bleeding - which links with this report. I doubt that an autopsy report would be made public. Out of respect for Mr Stevens family I will say no more.

#12 The administration is still floating the meme of moderate Muslims. More and more, it seems like the jihadist numbers are increasing. The Arab Spring has been co-opted by the islamists. Most reasonably thinking people predicted that would happen.
My wife has a relative in Israel. More and more war is on their minds. This president because of his apology, appeasement, and groveling strategy is heading us more and more towards a world war.
Appeasement invites war. Ideology seems to blind people to history.
