#2 I don't know the Iranian-Kurd relationship with Iran but I'd say they are backing the weak and/or brutal horse and would be better off talking to Turkey and Iran separately about carving a Kurdistan out of Syria/Iraq, migrating Kurds out of Iran and Turkey.
