#1 But IMO Iran still desires to isolate the USN's CVBGS + EBGS, etc. + Allied OTH to outside the Strait of Hormuz AMAP AFAP ALAP, so that in a war scenario Iran can attack 'em widout having to detonate any Nukes-WMDS on their own soil.

This means exploiting iff not suppor the insurgencies of Al-Qaeda affiliates in the GCC + all around the Sunni KSA, + ME, North Africa-wide "Arab/Islamic Springs", AFPAK [Pak nukes + Afghan rapprochement], + local Shia Rights movements.

Iff Iran's strateegery is successful, the Persian Gulf per se will be a second or tertiary front to destroying or defeating the USN Carriers + Amphibs, etc. in the Sea of Oman, Arabian Gulf, + beyond.
