#6 Morsi actually does want a cease fire I think.

This is because if the IDF had a ground assault into Gaza it would show Morsi in 2012 was no better at protecting Gaza than Mubarak in 2008.

Hamas has taken some big hits and is probably not too far from agreeing to something.

On the other hand, Hamas doesn't want to be seen as suppressing Islamic Jihad.

#9 Unless Reb-troubled Baby Assad can attack Israel from the north, Morsi knows the full weight of the IDF wil be agz Gaza-WB + Sinai Peninsula iff Egypt militarily intervenes in Gaza.

That leaves Hezbollah + aligned in Lebanon, + AQ + non-FSA/SNC controlled Militias in Syria, as IMO Iran will once again choose to remain on the strategic defensive, + keep the IRGC + Iranian Mil back home in Iran proper.
