#1 If DARPA could only convince that fellow waving his arms in Quantico to carry an electronic device or drive a vehicle which transmits a signal and is registered in his name........... oh WAIT!

At 17,500 feet you will very likely neither hear it nor see it. The notion that U.S. international border monitoring of illegal entry is difficult or impossible is utterly mythologic, and has been for several years. Quite obviously, the unstated goal is to stitch together a network of airborne or near-space platforms that have interlocking Fields of View (FOV) which will enable the 24x7 monitoring of entire target areas regardless of size.

Streaming 9/11/12 live video of Benghazi anyone? Why do you ask ?

#2 IMHO Your government is set-up to maximise the amount of rent seeking on you.

Immigration lowers wages and raises rents. Who gains most from that?

#3 I've gone galt BP. I've moved out of council housing and no longer taking the stamps! Unless my sheep give me away, they'll never find me in my wee little stone cottage near Betws-y-Coed. :-)

#4 Think carefully, constant, recorded surveillance, has huge applications for law enforcement. Coincidental to that, it has enormous prospects for abuse, the demise of all public expectation of privacy, associations, and travel for all of us. The bleed-over from military surveillance in a war zone to domestic surveillance is happening across the country under the rubric of law enforcement. But do you really think it will be contained, prevented from abuse?

#5 Well, if you're not committing a crime, you have nothing to fear from law enforcement, right? /sarcasm

The problem is what is defined as a "crime". For example, going to a Christian church, attending a Tea Party or pro-second amendment rally, going to a shooting range - all could be considered criminal someday.
