Amen, Frank. Unions really wanted this one and they lost big because it was a special election and the low information voters didn't turn out. Did you see the girl on the TV news who didn't vote because she didn't even know it was an election day? That was one less vote for Alvarez. Kinda warms the cockles of my cold, black heart. But I'm afraid we're fighting against a rising tide. A couple more years of Obama's immigration non-enforcement and Alvarez will try again.

#5 San Diego is a Republican city that elected one Democrat Mayor recently and he turned out to be a total embarrassement. It would have taken a miracle for the Dems to recapture the Mayor. They almost spent a miracles worth but still it wasn't enough (and that's not counting Obamacare or the Obamaconomy).

Obama Dem 51.5% 502,937
M. Romney GOP 46.4% 453,166

that is a greater margin than in the US as a whole
