#1 Pakistan has nuclear weapons, and I have never heard any Muslim religious leaders say that it is contrary to their faith.

#2 It's also against their faith to persecute "people of the book" (i.e. Jews and Christians), but that doesn't seem to have stopped them.

#3 no its not against their faith to persecute the people of the book

there are a number of references to people of the book in the koran

some, such as 3:199 show the people of the book in a positive way, others such as 3:110 show the people of the book in a negative way

because of these verses, Sharia allows Jews and Christians (and maybe others) to live in Islamic lands as protected people (dhimmi) if they (the Jews and Christians)pay the dhimmi tax and act as if they were inferior - any violations of these and the Jews and Christians may be killed, made into slaves, etc.
