#2 It's because the Trunks are cowards and won't start attacking the legitimacy of any government that allows its voting system to be so compromised. Make the whole issue the 'third rail' for the people pushing this stuff - why should you obey a government that fixes elections by stuffing the ballot box? Flip the narrative.
