#7 The whole reason they've kept the debt bond, and subsequently interest rates, so low this long is because of the massive amounts of debt bonds held by overseas 'entities'.

If the Fed raised the rates, the bonds gain immediate value and 'some' folks will try to cash in, therefor costing us a LOT more than the original bond tender $$.
