He would have Linebacker IIIed Mosul, Raqqa and possibly Damascus. The S-400 AA system would have been destroyed while landing, or perhaps it never would have arrived because of mines.

This is SOP for the regime. After about the third or fourth serious incident, you could almost time the placement of the speed dial to various agencies.
