#1 The campaign is being launched ahead of UN International Migrants Day on Friday and has already been adopted by the government in Mexico

Shocking, no ?

#2 Why migrant, instead of immigrant? Both of my parents were immigrants, and worked hard to be good American citizens. A migrant is merely someone who moves between places for the financial benefits without loyalty.

#7 Sure, "migrants" have rights. Back in the country that spawned them.

Did anyone ask Mexico if their participation in this campaign includes accepting "migrants" or just producing them?

#8 financial benefits to whom?

1. To the migrant.

2. To the parent country, where the migrant sends remittances

3. The erstwhile employers of said migrants.

There's probably a half-dozen other beneficiaries, but suffice it to the taxpayer generally isn't one of them.
