#10 Well, I've donated well over 6 gallons of blood in my lifetime, so I should get something good back.

The self donating is fine if you have time to plan it - like if you are going to have surgery. The problem is if you are admitted to the hospital because you are bleeding out, there's no time (or blood) to donate and get back.
