#2 Yes, Rambler. Until the desertions turn into a rebellion. Zarqawi ran into a bit of that problem, with our help. ISIS behavior is similar enough that I suspect they fear such.

#6 Lots of Soviet troops were killed/captured prior to Stalingrad. I would argue that Japan's failure to pin down Zhukov's eastern armies is what saved Stalin.

But maybe I have played too much Axis & Allies. :-)

Moreso as when various Muslim Govts-Nations go Nukulaar, SO WILL THE ISIS/ISIL.

IMO the true importance of the ISIS/ISIL + "Caliphate" is its perceived legitimacy, credibility, andor influence on the NEXT OR FUTURE GENERATIONS OF PRO-ISLAMIST-JIHADIST MUSLIMS, ESPEC AS THE US-BORN, US-RAISED, EX-DOD ELITE + CONVERT-TO-ISLAM ISLAMIC "MAHDI/MESSIAH/
IMAM/NUCLEAR NAPOLEON.

"CONTAINMENT" OF THE ISIS/ISIL IS NOT DESTROYING THEM - US, WESTERN FAILURE TO COMPLETELY DEFEAT OR DESTROY THE ISIS/ISIL ONLY PROVES ITS LEGITIMACY + ULTIMATELY ITS SUPERIORITY RELATIVE TO ITS ENEMIES BOTH MUSLIM OR NON-MUSLIM.

The ISIS/ISIL W-I-L-L rise again, save armed wid the Nuke-WMDs + other advanced MilTechs willfully supplied to select Muslim Powers in the name of US-led Anti-US OWG-NWO + alleged Global "Peace".
