My gut tells me no. Not until everything gets so fucked up the free shit stops coming. Then they will get upset but by that time it will be too late.

They don't have to force a change. All they have to do is sit on the sidelines while someone else changes it. No more 'willing to give the last full measure of devotion'. To quote a pol, their opinion will be "what difference does it make".

#5 The nanny state has criminalized so many things. And who has to enforce those rules? Police. This forces police to interact with the public over petty transgressions. "Excuse me sir, please wipe your chin!"

My grandfather told me a story about taking a walk when he was a boy with his father. A state police car would cruise into his small town once a year. On one such occasion my great granddad remarked, "That is the problem with this country; too many police."
