Their actual name is Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād which means "Group of the People of Sunnah for Preaching and Jihad"

while it is unwieldy that is not the reason it is not used.

Our rulers are busy lying to us we are not in WW4 against Islamist theocratic fascism.

just look at your headlines and substitute Islamists for each and every time you see these words.

"daesh", "Islamic State", "Boko Haram", "Al-Nusra", "al Qaeda", "terrorist", "ISIS", "ISIL".

The result is illustrative. It would make the conflict a lot clearer to everyone.

Secular, progressive Muslims will not be offended they are fighting islamists to the death
