#1 F-16???

I was hoping the Indian engineers would bring some sense to the F-35. Of course who in the F-35 program wants anyone around spouting common sense and sound engineering logic.

#2 As they say Bill, "Where's the graft in that?"

#3 Reopen the F-86 line.

#4 ...India is quite capable of building F-16s - but the standards for building -35s might be a bit beyond them yet. On top of that, their maintenance standards are occasionally iffy - they have some very, very good people but it's not unknown for them to say, "We know better -", and then when things don't work, blame it on the machinery and/or the designers thereof.

#5 The more I read about it, the more I'm convinced the 35 is a good airframe with lousy software, which the administration uses as an excuse to keep it in LRIP and disarm us by goldbricking.

#6 It's going to work Snowy, in spite of every damn thing it's going to work. Marines deploying squadron to Okinawa later this year. Squadrons already embarked on America and Tarawa class.

#7 I also think the Israelis have the right idea about that damn logistics software cr&p.

#8 Apparently THANG,

It has been the stupid assed logistics package that has FUBARed the whole show from the beginning.

I don't understand why they just can't do maintenance like they always have, which is very damn good, instead of this monstrosity that wants to measure probe and ruminate over every micron of wear in an aileron bushing or rivet.
