#3 I suspect China will soon begin switching its focii from the South China Sea to the East China Sea, espec as the Bammer last, final months of being POTUS occurs. Unlike in the SCS, China can't improve on any natural islands or shoals, etc. widout inviting military retaliation from US Regional Allies + even Russia. The true threat to the US is having to wage a military response in defence of our overseas allies.
